Outside of time where they forgot that I was waiting for almost 2 hours when my car was ready (...), I really love this location! Fritz is always so clear and communicates what is good / what needs fixing with my car and he always shares examples and visuals (since I haven't a clue) and I'm really grateful for that! My oil changes went from $60 to $100 which is super unfortunate so unless I find a cheaper alternative, I will be continuing to work with Hank Mays!

Went there for the first time to get my emissions done and was greeted by a very helpful guy whose instructions were super clear to get you in the queue as quickly as possible. Took 20 dollars cash and got my emissions done in 20 mins and gave me back the emissions results. Would highly recommend this place for getting emissions done as well as other car repairs.

I've used their service many times over the years. The only thing I don't like is you have to wait sometimes over and hour to get service, especially when there is emission testing. Overall it's a fantastic establishment to get your car fixed. The staff and crew are truly wonderful

Did CT emissions testing here on a Friday around noon. Didn't have to wait too long. Really nice people and they took good care of the car. See you in two years!

This place is the biggest scam.People who work there seem to be nice and at the same time they would do any kind of dishonest work on your vehicle . Like installing cheap aftermarket parts that fail the same day once you drive out the parking lot and still charge you as it was original part from a dealer Would they care about their reputation?? Don t think so but this review is for customers before they choose who to trust their vehicle and safety of their families.

I wouldn't recommend here. Though they ultimately stood by and fix their error, the fact is that they made a troublesome error that would severely and adversely affect the value of my car as reported to the DMV and weren't happy when they got called on the error.This happened more than once as well.

Our family has been going here for years now. They are always kind, efficient, and most of all trustworthy.My husband brought his car in recently thinking he needed his brakes done and they were honest and told him they d be fine for quite a while.Their prices are very reasonable and fair.I recommend coming here Vs any stealershio for tires or brakes.They also do emissions testing while you wait.

These guys installed a tire with a rock inside. Like how careless can you be. I had to bring my Audi to the dealership to see why I had this clicking noise. Had to spend another $300...

I do emissions tests for my cars here. The staff is always friendly and profesional. They do the testing very quickly and there is no unnecessary waiting.

Can't believe how great this place is! And they do virtually everything on all makes/models.Hank Mays is at the positive/opposite end of the Service spectrum vs. where Stealerships are nowadays. Knowledgeable, Honest and dependable service. Richie, Fritz and team are simply the best!

Great outfit they got going on here. Friendly, attentive staff. Just drove off and already know that the work is swift, quality, documented and warrantied. Shop layout is clean and well thought out with a spacious waiting area with basic amenity, separate inspection desk and a well staffed service desk. Wayne is outstanding: Listened to my concerns, prioritized work and got it done! My old car feels solid now. Prices are fair and to me worth it for the workmanship and peace of mind. Better experience for sure than Scarsdale Ford, Curry Chevy and every Jeep dealership. Some of those places don't even do the work which is pathetic and sad. Not here at Hank Mays. Open early and on Saturdays. AAA Approved and for a reason. Very accommodating and solid work no question. Thank you Wayne and team!

I am a person who believes that great customer service is paramount and can make a stressful situation seem like it s a breeze. That s exactly what happened over the last few days when I had to visit HankMays Goodyear service.My father s truck failed is emission test and Hank Mays Goodyear services was one of the listed facilities that may be and to help. Prior to them I called at least 6 other businesses but they were all saying they had no availability. I called Hank Mays and the guy who answered (Jason Najarro) told me to bring the vehicle by and they would take a look at it. He cautioned that we may have to leave it until the following day and pick it up but that they would try their very best to assist me.My father and I arrived and when I told Jason that I was the young lady on the phone, he looked at my paperwork and was and to identify one of the problems. He instructed us what to do and made sure that we understood so that when we returned the next day the problem would be able to be solved. Today we came back and before getting the new emissions test, I asked the emission guy what he thought. He immediately noticed that it was the check engine light that wasn t visible. Jason came over and listened to what the problem was and then came up with a solution. He called the mechanic over to look at my father s vehicle and told us that they figured the bulb had either burned out or wasn t connected to where it should be.Jason was with us every step of the way and kept us informed as they called around to find the correct bulb. Once they located it, he then went and picked it up personally and made sure that it was installed and my father s truck put through the emissions system as soon as the work was completed. Thankfully the truck passed the test and my father were extremely grateful. I had to write a review because this experience was such a great one and that s because of Jason!! I would also like to add that all of the employees at this establishment were helpful and extremely knowledgeable and because of all those reasons I ll definitely go back to them again if I need any future vehicle work and I ll recommend them to any friends that I have. Thank you Jason for being such a great employee. You truly are an asset to the team! Thank you to all the other employees that work there and the management of Hank Mays Goodyear Service because you truly are A++ people!!!

Brought in a wheel with a bent rim, and they bent it back into shape the same day for a very reasonable price. I tried to put the wheel back on my car at home, but couldn't get the spare tire off even after removing the lug nuts. Brought it back to the shop the next morning, and they were nice enough to remove the spare/install the repaired wheel in about 5 minutes for no charge.Polite staff, and good amount of traffic coming in/out so people must be reasonably happy with the service. But I will say, those computers they were working with are operating at speeds that would be slow for the late 1990's! They typed my phone number, and then there was a 5 second delay before the numbers appeared on screen. Gotta be worth spending a couple hundred bucks to get a PC from this century.

I've been here many times because they are friendly and provide good, honest serviceThe latest: I Thought I had a nail in my tire;. They thoroughly inspected all of my tires and found nothing. They didn't charge me.I will continue to use these guys even when I move further away.

Look, any of these shops like this and Mitas and others you have to be careful but AAA and Costco recommend this place and they give a national guarantee. Go on line for further discounts. I have been satisfied with their work on my Ford and Mercedes Benz.

They put my tires on just fine, but tried to scam me into getting additional work done. Said I needed to repair the brakes when the dealership had said the brakes were fine a couple weeks ago. Got a second opinion.... and the brakes are fine.They will try to oversell you.

Called to come in after I got a flat tire the night before. Ended up needing to replace all 4 since the others weren't in great shape.Was in and out in about an hour + without an appointment.From start to finish, the service was great! Went there previously for CT emissions test in was a pretty seamless process.

Went here for an emissions test, it seems to be the main place to go in Stamford for emissions testing. Friendly service once they got to me. You walk in and take a ticket and wait to be called on. I probably waited 15 minutes after walking in. After that the emissions test took maybe 8 minutes. I would recommend going early or during off hours.

Called ahead last week to check if appointments are required for a emission test. Was told YES. the person took all the basis car information and provided a date and time of the appointment. Showed up for the schedule appointed and was informed that they NEVER take appointment and would have to wait an hour for the test. WHAT A WASTE OF TIME. DON T believe what they tell you over the phone. Poorly operated establishment.

These guys provide consistent top service when it comes to tires. Over the years when have used them for both scheduled and emergency tire service. Recently in dealing with a hard to find tire size they were able to provide a quick turn around from their warehouse that was well priced and completed within hours.If you are looking for well priced, high quality service give the team from Hank May s a shot; they deliver.

Very friendly service. Manager John does a great job serving customers and putting them at ease. He did his best to fit me in to a full schedule earlier than my 11:30 appointment - I arrived at 8:00.I will be returning there.

They did a great job putting the tires on my truck. It was pretty busy, so it took about 2 hours. You can always walk down the street to the donut shop or they have a comfy couch to lounge on and watch tv. The gal at the front desk was also very nice.

Great stuff man! We went there for our car inspection and they have a very good number system and a guy hired just to do inspections. They are fast! It was done in less than 5 mins and we were out the door. $20 bucks to get you CT inspection for 2 years. Now that's a deal.

Wayne at Hank Mays is the absolute BEST!!! I have been a customer at Hank Mays for several years. They provided services for my (2005)Honda Accord and now my (2011) Toyota Corolla. Recently, I contacted Hank Mays for a family member looking to purchase new tires. Wayne gave me a quote over the phone and wrote up the paperwork for my family member. My family member received the same quote he gave me over the phone with no added charges. "Trustworthy" and dependable is all I can say about Wayne. You don't how many times I was given a quote over the phone at places then charged a much higher price after the service is complete My family member is now a new customer at Hank Mays and I will continue to get services at Hank Mays. Hank Mays of Stamford is the BEST!!!!!!

Absolutely fantastic customer service and quality of work. I am especially picky when it comes to alignments on my Ford Focus ST and have been let down numerous times by the technicians over at Town Fair Tire. They never seem to get it quite right, and when I come back asking to fix the steering wheel being off center and things like that, they tell me it's my car's fault and often put up a fight before fixing it.I came early in the morning today and didn't have an appointment; however, the gentleman at the front desk was able to squeeze me in between appointments. Despite fitting me into a short amount of time, the technician thoroughly aligned my car, coming very close to zero'ing the toe on all four corners, and my car handles amazingly now.Best of all, I was able to use a $30 off coupon bringing the full alignment to $65.Couldn't be more happy about my experience and will definitely be coming back again!
