Been here a few times before for simple fixes like flat tires, etc. Was in a pinch last Saturday attempting to rotate my tires myself on my daily driver (I try and do most of my own work) but had issues getting my wheels off with stuck lugs that were only half on/off. Brought it in and they looked at it for me first this the next morning, fixed my stripped lug issue, rotated my tires, and did a safety inspection. When it was all set they sent me on my way with no charge too! Will be back in a few months to get new tires mounted and balanced there and sending anyone needing services there too! Thanks again!

Another great experience at Southington Midas! I bring all my family s vehicles here for any service needed. Always been treated well and I ve NEVER had a bad experience! I highly recommend them!

This place is a joke. They should close it. I took my 2011 Honda Pilot to put the exhaust gasket in, and they told me that I had to put in the entire system from the engine to the catalytic converter. The excuse was that they don't change that because the screws were in bad condition. They took almost an hour to do an evaluation of the entire vehicle when the appointment was only to change the gasket. The estimated $3,400.00. and they DID NOT have the parts, I had to return on Monday and leave the vehicle. First and last time I visit them. They even got upset when I said I wasn't going to do it. They took my car out of the garage with attitude. Stay away from this place, don't waste your time.

I got new rear struts installed here in June. Less than a month later I started noticing my ride was getting rough going over bumps. It got so bad that I finally decided to take it to Toyota because I needed a second opinion. The technician at Toyota told me my rear struts were extremely loose. He told me he was able to get a full 5 turns out of the bolts! LUCKILY no other damage occurred, but now I m stuck with a $200 bill from Toyota. This isn t my first unpleasant experience here. I will not be returning for any service.

I ve been using Midas for a while now for all of my oil changes and car repair needs. I can t express enough on how amazing they are. The staff is so friendly, the oil changes are quick. They do many promotions and even did a free Mother s Day oil change which I felt was such a nice way to treat their costumers to something special. I highly recommend them!Service: Oil change

I loved coming to this place. Everyone is so welcoming but most importantly: they are dedicated to their work and I was very pleased with their work. Juan , was amazing & his personality made me feel confortable at asking questions about my car. He made sure all my questions were answered. Midas, while a chain store, still offers reasonable prices for a wide variety of basic maintenance. At this location, the friendly staff are more than capable of helping you and able to provide recommendations for future maintenance service.

Worst service ever! They want to charge me $150 even though I have a deductible of $50 for checking the car, or they will charge me +$800 for labor, because my insurance coverage is 3 hrs, and they want to charge 7hrs to work with a module of one sensor! What the heck!!!! First and last one!

In late November went to take my vehicle to midas to get my heater fixed because everyone needs a heater in the winter. I paid for a diagnostic fee, and for the job to get done and a they did all that an proceeded and a item was replaced . But the issue was temporarily resolved but never fixed. When I called the gentleman to get the issue fixed he told me to bring the vehicle back in so he could take a look at it. Later he tells me I had stopped leak in my system. Now, to my knowledge if I pay for a diagnostic fee and they proceed to fix the vehicle, the issue should never have come back or it should be covered by the guarantee, Am I wrong? I think that s the point of a diagnostic fee to get to the to a accurately figure out the core issue and fix it My vehicle was never touched in terms of the heater prior or after dealing with this business, and they said if I wanted to get it fixed that I would have to pay additional fee and what s worse is that I couldn t buy my kids Christmas presents and I paid my rent late. It s January and I m still riding around in a cold vehicle. To say I am upset is an understatement. I m highly disappointed and I will never bring or recommend anybody to bring their vehicles to this spot in particular. This place seems to cut corners and never get the job done right.Services: Transmission replacement, Air conditioning

I have been going to the Southington Midas location for quite some time now. My first service visit, I met the store manager Mark who impressed me with his friendliness and outgoing personality. From that day I have used this store to maintain and service both our vehicles. Mark and his team make each visit fast and easy, always explaining any service needs that might arise from routing maintenance. It is very apparent they bring the needed automotive service knowledge to this store and it sets Midas apart from the competition. The technician was courteous and informative on what they would be working on with my car. They worked in a timely fashion and had me taken care of within half hour. They were able to visually do an inspection on my car and make suggestions for future repairs as needed on the vehicle. Previous owner of a 2013 Santa Fe Sport. My turbo charger failed and brought it in. It was replaced with a refurbished one. Car was fine with it. It was not the same as before, but I could live with it. A few months later, the check engine light came on. I hooked up a diagnostic tool and had a few codes related to the turbo charger. At Midas, their diagnostic tool showed a different code, plus I was told I had a massive oil leak. So, the turbo charger was never looked at as they pointed out that the leak was a priority. I said fine. A few weeks later, it was leaking oil again. I called Midas and they said they would look at it. But then my gut feeling was not to take it in. I took it instead to a small auto repair shop on my postal route. Problem fixed and for a lot less than what Midas would have charged me plus they cleaned the engine.

I had called Midas to schedule an oil change for my 2015 Hyundai Elantra. Online it stated that they had a special for $29.99. I called the day prior and set an appointment for the following day at 12. I arrive at my scheduled time. They tell me I'm going to have to wait until at least 12:45. So I leave and they call me back around 1:00. I head back. They then ask me if I want synthetic blend. I said I'm not sure, I just want a regular oil change. The gentleman at the desk was Jerry. He proceeds to tell me to sign the paperwork. I look down at the price before I sign. It literally said $98! $98 for an oil change?! He says he can give me a $10 off coupon. I said absolutely no way I am ever going to pay that much for an oil change. So I walked out. I went to Monro and paid $39.Never in my life have I been so floored. As a woman I am used to men in these businesses trying to treat us like we know nothing. But to be asked to pay almost $100 ?!

I've used Midas in Southington for many, many years. While management has changed over the years, the service has always been great. They are always courteous & fair. Mark, Dave & the rest of the crew may be the best yet. Very thorough & honest. Great place to stop by for maintenance or repair for your vehicle. Excellent service! I called in the morning on a Friday (before a holiday weekend)and got an afternoon appointment. My car was ready by the end of the day. I had called my dealership also. Their earliest appointment was 9 days out and I would have had to drop off the car for at least the day.

Very disappointed... ordered 4 new tires... got a quote. Got a call to confirm the appointment. Today... day of my appointment... they call and tell me, they only have 1 of the tires but found a comparable one...for a little more money... I said ok. I was considering it.Then he says I don't know why online quoted you 80 for the job but it's actually 100.... so day of... don't have what I ordered and tried to jack up my quoted price. Never again

Went to Midas of Southington on Saturday, August 20, 2022 it was my first time there. They are very professional, efficient and quick. Plus I received a phenomenal coupon by email for a synthetic blend oil change for $29.99 which was awesome my oil changes usually cost $70. Will is an excellent manager and provides every customer with great customer service. His team is very efficient. He was willing to work with me and help me out with everything I needed. This was by far the best experience I ve had with car service. I would recommend this place to any person looking to get anything done to their car. Do not hesitate to give these guys a chance, they will do whatever it takes to get the job done.

I went in for an alignment and was told I needed front end work. I gave $900.00 toward it, financed the rest which they said would be $80.00 monthly. Upon picking up my car, the finance charge doubled. I did not sign any paperwork until I picked up my car. By this time it was too late. I took the car home and it was still pulling very badly and jumping. I brought the car back and was then told I needed rear shocks. I do not recommend them worst experience of my life. Car still doesn't run well. I feel that had I not been a woman and my husband were still in my life, I would not have been taken advantage of.

I had some work done on my car, last year, at this place, I wanted to check out what I had done because I have long road trip coming up. The guy at the front desk printed out what I had done and gave me the entire repair history of my car and informed me I was up to date. I was going to get the air conditioner in my car fixed somewhere else, but was taken back by how helpful he was, I decided to give them the business. They fixed it up and had it ready in two hours. Great place, I highly recommend!
