I asked the community for recommendations and all fingers pointed to Willie s and I am so grateful. I knew I needed rear brakes but all of a sudden I heard a grinding noise like overnight. I called this morning and spoke to Willie himself. He explained he can get my car in today for only a diagnosis because he had a full day. Well not only was it diagnosed but it was ready for pickup at 4:50. Willie is very professional, kind and has a sense of humor. He s top notche and has made a lifelong customer today!!!

Unfortunately, noticed rotation of tires (front to back/back to front) that I paid for was not completed while my daughter's car was there for a rear brake job. Brought the car back, owner agreed to rotate tires as a courtesy, but when I showed up forappointment, shop was closed.I called, receptionist was rude, told me owner was sick, they would call me when he returns, and we had to 'agree to disagree' in order to remedy the problem.2 weeks later and they haven't called me back to schedule.Sorry .. can't recommend Willie's based on my experience.

Willie has been taking care of my sons Jeep since he bought it two years ago. Always does a fantastic job at such a fair price. I brought in my father in laws car to have it looked over so we could sell. Willies staff was so accommodating. Explained what needed fixing and was done in the same day.I seriously would not trust any other place than Willies. Honest, fair, friendly, and accommodating. What more do you need???

Amazing Customer Service. Picked up my car, and noticed there was an issue (due to the parts I supplied) called willies and they fixed it FOR FREE after hours. Thank you very much, definitely won me as a customer.

Every once in a while you find a business that you leave feeling seen, heard, and appreciated. You also leave that business knowing the owner takes pride in respecting his fellow community members by being fair & honest. These businesses are rare where the owner goes above and beyond and also makes it more than just about *___insert service or good____* being sold.I called Willie while my car was being serviced at my dealership to have him finish the rest of my needed mechanics because I was so fed up with the impersonal sales pitches and overly priced experiences.Willie was an absolute gem who went beyond what I expected to receive as a new customer. In addition his office staff was exceptional.I actually look forward to using him to service my family car from now on.Thank you.Service: Brakes

This is one auto shop you won't dread going to. Trust me. I am a fickle person and everything about Willie's is A+. Knowledgeable in both foreign and domestic vehicles, wonderful personality and it has a welcoming atmosphere all together. His pricing is honest and budget friendly. Did I mention PET friendly!? This is what Southbury needed! Thank you WIllie you'll be seeing a lot more of us!

This place truly helped me so much! While traveling alone and having car problems, they took me in immediately and were able to reassure me that I was safe to continue on my road trip - and the owner test drove my car to really make sure I wouldn t have any more problems! They were so, so welcoming. I highly recommend this shop, especially if you are a young woman and want to know you are getting help from trustworthy folks!

Tire pressure warning light came on while traveling east on I-84...Google said Willie's is just off the highway...Pulled in, talked to William, within a hour we were back on the road to our destination!Great folks, friendly and clean facility and oh so, thorough!Wish they were in my neighborhood!Services: Tires, Vehicle Inspection, Vehicle safety inspection

I had a specific, odd, uncommon, major problem with a chevy cruze that other local places failed to diagnose correctly. Willie's did their due diligence in their diagnostic that confirmed my suspicions about what the issue was. They quoted a fair price with a reasonable timeframe for the job, and they stuck to both of those to the dollar/day. Staff was friendly, helpful, good at explaining everything, and the car drives like new. They know their stuff. Can't ask for more than that. I'll be back next time I've got car issues (hopefully not too soon).Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic

I had an emergency...The car battery died in the parking lot. Willie dropped everything to help me on the spot. He had a new battery installed within 20 minutes of my arrival at the shop. He had previously helped us with my husband's car. Nice to know there is such a good shop in town. Ps he has a beautiful clean restroom for customers only!!Service: Battery

I recently moved to Southbury and wanted to find a mechanic close to home.. I couldn t be happier with Willies! He not only does great work but he s also friendly, honest and knowledgeable. He gives you a detailed overview of the work he intends to do on your vehicle and the price is always fair! The turn around is also extremely quick. Both times I ve brought my truck in, the work was done within a day. I highly recommend Willies and will be using him for many years to come. My Engine light came on and after calling the shop, Willie himself had me come down after hours, and put oil in my car and explained to me what I needed from here on out. I am over the moon for the exceptional service and honest integrity. There need to be more people like him in the world! If you are a supporter of local business and you want to get the right job done at a fair price, you will give Willys Automotive a try.They have the latest equipment and they use original factory manufactured parts not foreign substitute aftermarket.They completed my repairs at a competitive price and even drove me home and picked me upsee Willie or Rachel. They are very versed on automotive repair. Every aspect of this business is exceptional. Willie & his whole crew are sincerely the best of the best I have ever encountered in any business let alone the automotive industry. You can expect pure professionalism & top quality of work while receiving honest & trustworthy diagnostics with whatever the issue may be. Willie's fixed an issue for me that a previous mechanic had not fully completed and they did it in less than two days! Very impressed by both how fast they fixed the problem for me and their quick responses with my questions afterwards. A few weeks ago, I had a car emergency on the highway. I pulled off the exit and found Willie s Automotive. Willie and the other employee invited me and my kids in and told me he would take care of it and get me on my way. He took his time fixing the paneling on my car, making sure it was secure and safe, and my son commented that he even checked and filled the tires. As we drove away, my kids commented on how that was an example of really good, kind people. I agree! And, they went above and beyond in fixing my car! I would fully recommend this shop!

Willie's Automotive is awesome! Everyone there is honest, caring, extremely fair, and will always look out for YOUR best interest. I came in for new brakes and an oil change and couldn't be any happier. Everything was explained, the car was looked over for anything else that might need to get replaced and the work was done promptly considering how busy they were! Thank you so much Willie and Shirley and Chris! You guys rock and I'll keep bringing my Jeep back to you! See you soon!

We are new to Southbury and I was worried about finding a new place for auto repair that I could trust. I had heard great things about Willie's and loved how they offered up their shop as a refuge to the community after the large storms that we had this past Summer. I started with an oil change to see how things were there and I could not be more pleased with the service, the shop overall and with the welcome that I received. I am not usually one to leave reviews, but when I receive outstanding service I am happy to share that experience with others. I felt that Willie, his family and his team were a pleasure to work with, they were fair and honest and that they are a wonderful addition to the list of things that we love about Southbury. We hope to rely on Willie's for many years of service across a small fleet of older vehicles that I hope to keep running for a long time. Thanks again!Service: Oil change

This establishment is what service used to be! I was here with an out of state visitor's car that wasn't running well at all,after being turned away by others because they were too busy, the owner personally welcomed us ,looked over the car, stated and printed all problems. He gave recommendations and predictions...he couldn't have called it any more accurately! I later approached with major problems with my daughters car...they worked with me above any of my expectations! I choose to get my tires and brakes done too because I'm so confident with them and couldn't be any more comfortable approaching them about anything! Highly recommended! Great pricing! I've heard many good things abut Willie's since he opened here in Southbury, but never had the opportunity to do business with him. He replaced a battery in my Mercedes and was extremely fair with his price. He's friendly, knowledgeable and provides a clean inviting environment. Not only that , but he provided details on an array of repair services that he offers and I never felt like I was being sold. Willie is the real deal and an asset to our community. * please read through*My vehicle overheated right off the Southbury exit on Route 84 half way through a 400 mile trip on Friday the 13th. I'm pretty confident traveling alone as a middle aged woman, but the uncertainty of breaking down far from home is a scary ordeal for anyone. I was grateful for not breaking down on the highway and made it to a Parking lot, but AAA would only offer me a tow home and my husband was not reachable by phone for many hours. I had few options and knew on a busy Friday afternoon any garage (if open) would be unlikely to get me back on the road the same day. I steeled myself for the most expensive scenario including figuring out how to Uber, renting a car for the rest of my trip, and having to leave my car in another state. After waiting for my car to cool, I managed to drive less than a mile to Willies Automotive and explained my situation to the two gentlemen in the office and they confirmed my expectation that it was unlikely they could get me in and out right away as they were very busy... but as I was stranded agreed to come take a quick look. For the second time during this ordeal...I felt fortunate that they agreed to even look at it, but I wasn't optimistic. It was Willie who came out to check my van and his friendly conversation and humor instantly put me at ease. He did a diagnostic and looked up some stuff on the computer. He was honest with expectations and explained his diagnosis with comfortable confidence. I was beginning to feel hopeful and was able to reach my husband to explain the situation. Willie was able to get a part locally and had me up and running in a couple hours for a reasonable price. He even test drove it to ensure it solved the issue entirely. I left feeling fortunate for breaking down in Southbury to have the opportunity to meet such a genuinely good guy and ethical mechanic. I've told everyone I know what began as every travelers nightmare turned into a wonderful experience of human kindness. I wish we lived closer so we could bring all family's vehicles here and I would recommend anyone to visit Willie even if it's for friendly conversation. I honestly can't rave enough . You will find no better mechanic or business person than Willie. My car started over heating with my 3 young children in the back seat. I called Willie s shop and they told me to bring it in right away. Willie immediately diagnosed the issue and had it fixed within a day. If you are looking for a trustworthy and fair mechanic, look no further! (He also offers a 10% discount for teachers , which was a very nice surprise)

On the drive home from Philadelphia, my Range Rover Evoque started smoking and giving me all sorts of low fluid/engine overheating warnings. I limped off the highway. Stopped at the nearest gas station to let it cool down. A friendly local suggested I bring it down to Willie s. Not only did he save the day .but he did it in about 2 hours. I couldn t be happier with the service and professionalism. I would certainly recommend Willie to anyone in the Southbury area.Service: Engine repair

Always a pleasant experience at Willie's! He did the brakes all the way around, tire rotation, and found a noise that's been driving me nuts for over a year! I am EXTREMELY picky about who touches my car but Willie is so trustworthy and more importantly HONEST! You don't find that very often in the world today! Thank you Willie's Automotive and please, kiss your little girl pooch for me! She makes the wait so worth it!

I had my brakes and rotors done here today and when Willie looked at my bill he said let s see if we can do a little better on the price for you and brought it down a noticeable amount. Friendly, professional service. Happy to have him in town

I ended up going to Willie's based on someone's recommendation on a facebook page. Yesterday I had gone to Valvoline for an oil change and they said I needed a new serpentine belt, but they couldn't unscrew it because the screw/nut was too rusty. I checked out Willie's Automotive's web site first and read some reviews and called them this morning. They took me immediately, Willie himself met me, introduced himself, shook my hand. Vanessa in the front office was super friendly and nice. Both were very informative. Willie will work with you, tell you exactly what's wrong, what can wait to be fixed, and he is not pushy. I am so, so impressed by this place, I highly recommend them! I will be going back next week to get badly needed tires. They also have a free warranty, coffee, soda, and water - and snacks. They offer rides to the locals. And they're right on Main Street South in Southbury, a great, great town. My 25 minute drive there was well worth it!
