I have used Strong's for about 20 years & they have always delivered exceptional service. They recently repaired my son's car - he had been to 2 different dealers who had just taken his money & not corrected any problems. Rich's team went over the vehicle, repaired it & on then a test drive, then found a little glitch that turned out to be a major issue. Most dealers would not take the time or care to be as thorough. They do a great job & are honest & straightforward.

The service is first class and usually exceeds my expectations. I cannot say that about any other Auto Service, or even my car dealer. I am so glad to have a place that I can trust and receive quality service for my hard earned dollar.

I took my 1997 Saturn to Strongs after receiving a recommendation from my neighbor. Six different shops had refused to fix a part of the frame. Strongs said they would be capable of fixing it. After inspecting my car they found that the gas tank straps were about to give way and noted that a weld job in another area of the car had been done poorly in the past. They advised me of the cost for the repair and I felt the price was more than fair. After the frame was repaired I requested some undercoating be applied. When the car was finished I picked it up and went to a gas station to fill my tank. Driving home I could smell something strange like hot tar so I assume it was undercoating over spray until I parked in my driveway. It was a gasoline leak. I could see it was from the fill pipe so filling the tank had exposed a rotted connection under the hose.I immediately called Strongs but it was Sunday so I parked the car away from buildings and put a catch pan under the leak.Monday morning the owner if Strongs and a technician came to my house, inspected the leak and took the car back to the shop. The connector wasn't in an area where they would have touched when changing the tank straps but they said the movement of changing the straps might have weakened the connector. They ordered the part, installed it and never charged me for coming to my house. The bill was for 1 hour labor and the part.A week after I brought the car back home Strongs called to make sure everything was OK with the car. It was better than OK. They did awesome work.I don't know of any other mechanical repair place that would have driven 20 miles to retrieve a car for no cost to the owner of the car let alone call to ask if everything was good on the car. That type of caring disappeared when Doctors stopped making house calls!I recommend Strongs and they will definitely get my business.

Carlos was very helpful and seemed very concerned with some of the issues my vehicle was having. He put me at ease and assured me that he will take care of my vehicle just like if it was his own. Carlos did not disappoint at all. I am back on the road with confidence and assured that my vehicle is in good working order. To be honest the whole staff was amazing. It feels GREAT to do business with a company who puts the customer first. ..Thank You Strong's Auto care.Services: Auto maintenance, Oil change

I cannot say enough good things about this shop. Didn t think any business like this even existed anymore, family owned and still truly care. I got into an accident at the beginning of March after having my brand new car for one week, and the Nissan dealer referred me to Strongs. Tom was so extremely nice on the phone when I first called, made me feel reassured they would take care of it and got me in within a few days (only delayed bc the insurance company made the appraiser come first), then the manager Carlos offered to drive me back home after I dropped my car off, 30min drive, so I didn t have to take an uber. In the midst of the repair they of course found additional damage, including to the radiator which was nowhere to be found in the entire country. Carlos got on the phone and started calling every dealership, tracked down the one and only radiator in the whole country, and left at 5am to make the 2.5hr each way drive to Mass to get it. I have my car back tonight and they did a beautiful job. Had I gone anywhere else where they did not put in this effort, I may have not had my brand new car back for 6 months. I am so grateful to this place!!Services: Body & Trim, Auto body & trim replacement

Had an excellent experience with Strong's entire staff. Professional, responsive and spot on with what needed to be fixed on my car. Didn't try to oversell repairs, was super honest about how much is left on my tires. Would highly recommend!

Excellent garage/shop. Tried this place on a recommendation. Not totally disappointed. They took the time to hear all our concerns regarding our Jeep and actually entered it into the system. Being a woman, I greatly appreciate them being able to talk with me about my SUV and not bypass me to talk only to my husband. I have read other reviews and would have felt the same way they did if our experience was different. Hopefully Strong's is also reading their reviews and making corrections to their business. Their work was thorough and returned my Jeep back to me as clean as I dropped it off. Will definitely give this place another try... Just hope not too soon.

I absolutely LOVE bringing my car to Strongs Auto! I love the family run business and they treat you like part of their family. Unlike some other places they are welcoming and they never try and rip you off or scam you. I always feel like I can trust the technicians and everyone that works there. I do wish they were open on Saturdays though! Other than that, no complaints! I am a very happy customer who will trust no one else with my car!

New to the area and very appreciative of this company's honesty. Firstly, I checked BBB record, Google and Yelp reviews. I liked the record I found for Strong's. I had a laundry list of possible car repairs based on a consultation from a dealership in my home state. Strong's was very honest and concluded I didn't need all the stuff the dealership said! So stoked to not fork over tons of money!! Love the eye contact, hand-shakes, and re-assurances offered by this business. We feel very very comfortable trusting this business with OUR business and our precious cargo--kids!

My car sputtered into Strong Auto with no appointment. The Staff was very friendly in listening to my concerns. They took my car for a test drive right away, and then put it on the lift . My car was fixed by the end of the day. I was provided a ride to work and back with great customer service.I would recommend Strong's Auto Care to anyone.

I've been going too Strong's AutoCare for about 2 years give or take. They are kind and polite, but recently I've been questioning their mechanical know how. Whenever I take my car to Strong's 7 times out of 10 the problem that they fixed will either happen again or something else goes wrong immediately after. Not only that but I think their parts are overpriced. Either that or the source they used to get their parts are overpriced. The most recent repair I had done with them was a blower motor replacement. They gave me a quote for about $300. They said they didn't know why but the part for my make and model was really expensive compared to others. Thankfully I was able to find a brand new blower motor on eBay for only $100, and the labor charge for the installation was around $200. So when it was all said and done I technically got the labor for free. That would have been good, but immediately after I had another problem with the car. I turned on my car to test the blower motor and then I turned it off. The blower motor was still running even when I had the keys out of the car. I went back inside and told the owner. He took a look at it, and he was able to turn the blower motor off by turning the car on and off again. He told me that the switch that gives the power to my car when I turn the key might be flaky, and will need to be replaced. My car never had that problem before, and it only happens immediately after I get it repaired by them?To me that was vary sketchy. Especially knowing that wouldn't be the first time something else went wrong with my car after I got it repaired by them. I decided to give Strong's one more chance and let them repair it, but I had to pull my car out because there were trying to get a quote for a week. A whole week just to get a quote is way too long.I'm only giving Strong's 2 stars out of 5 because they are friendly, and they did get a couple of major problems right with my car in the past. Plus I want to believe that their intentions are good. Regardless though I highly recommend you take your business somewhere else. I'm definitely not going back there. They lost my business. If you do take your business there I highly recommend you test out the part they repair/replace before you leave their parking lot.

Just used Strong's AutoCare for the first and it was a great experience. My wife's Explorer needed some minor body work and I shopped around the area visiting several auto repair businesses. Strong's was the most professional and courteous to deal with during the quote process and pricing was very competitive. They completed the repair unless than the quoted time and return and washed and detailed car back. Fantastic!

literally the worst place ever! We sent our car to Strongs to get one thing fixed. We knew exactly what the problem was and told them. They started fixing things We didn't give them permission to fix, ordered parts we didn't give them permission to order. The never called us once to tell us that they were doing additional work on our car. They kept our car for well over a month! Every time we called to ask when we can pick up our car we were told there was no record being kept of our car and no one could tell us where our car was! Finally after arguing with them for over a month we went to pick up our car they wanted us to play over $1,700 but didn't keep any records of what they did to our car. How can you expect a customer to pay for something you can't even prove you did!?! The owner refused to allow us to test drive our car! The first time we picked my car up our car the check engine light came on right away! The second time coming to pick up our car the radiator was broken and fluid was spilling everywhere and the third and final time we went to pick our car there was scratches all along the side that were not there when we drop it off! The owner was extraordinary rude. Even the employees were shocked at his behavior and unprofessionalism! He literally told us "every car I touche more stuff seems to break" long story short I do not recommend this business at all. In my experience you will be up charged for things you don't need, your car will come out worse than when it went in, no one's going to communicate with you and you will be out of a car for a weeks!

We have been going to Strong's Auto for a few years now and the most important thing for me is that I know I can trust them. In fact, just the other day I got some work done on our old minivan and I was surprised when a day later Kellie called to tell me she had accidentally overbilled us by $80 and she wanted to credit it back to our card. I was shocked! Most companies would have just kept the difference for themselves, but Strong's was honest enough to reimburse me even when I didn't notice the error! Thanks Strong's!

I bought my first car on my own from Strong's. The staff registered my car and made sure the transaction was seamless. A little less than a year later my rear brakes were making noises and the staff at Strong's was more than happy to fix them for me. I'd highly recommend this shop to anyone looking for a car or looking to get their car repaired.

One of the best "shops" I have been to in CT. These guys are true professionals. I took my 2010 RX8 to have the suspension dialed in for an upcoming autocross session. The guys were very welcoming, and didn't try to steer away from the work like some other shops have (it is a long process, and requires some knowledge especially on cars with multiple suspension adjustments). Not only did they dial in my car to the specs I requested, but they also made suggestions to my settings so that I get a better balance of street and track driving. The service was great, and the guys working on my car were not only professionals, but communicated everything with me. Keep up the good work guys!

Do not bring your car to this place. They will charge you for services they did not provide. Apparently they have zero communication with each other because on a Friday my car was ready to be picked up , I couldn t make it by the time they closed so they kept it the weekend, and then on Monday morning it wasn t even looked at yet. I don t understand how that is possible. I paid for a tire rotation that I know was not done since the exact same tire was on the same wheel before and after, we purposely kept an eye on it because this isn t the first time we have caught them in a lie. I brought my car in for a brake inspection and they charged me $1200 and a brake inspection wasn t even done! They found everything else that needed to be fixed though. If you want a trust worthy company to look at your car that won t purposely try and rip you off, do not go to Strong Auto. My family has brought our cars here for years and we all have agreed that we will never again.

I took my car to Strong's because it was making a whirling sound at the back and they are the closest to my house with the best reviews. Obviously a no-brainer. When I dropped the car off, I told them I was making an out-of-state trip in the following days. Mistake. Don't tell them that. They did their "complimentary 25-point inspection" and decided that my car needed upwards of $2000 worth of work to be ready for my trip. I asked them to prioritize the things that needed done, but, according to them, all the work was absolutely essential if I was taking such a long trip. Since I didn't want to get into any issues away from home, I acquiesced. So, what's on the list of absolutely essential work that needed to be done?+ Wiper blade x2 - My wiper blades would not have won any awards, but they weren't broken and did not need replacing.+ Antifreeze at $42.56 - The antifreeze in the car was recently topped up. I also have antifreeze in my car. I'm just really hoping that their antifreeze has some sort of special diamond crystals in it to make it that special. And this is what I could determine. For the others, I have to take their word for it. But it's difficult to not extrapolate and conclude that at least a few of the items they replaced were either not essential or overpriced. What Strong's did was, they took advantage of the fact that I was making the trip and took me for the sucker that I was."So how was your trip? Didn't you have a great issue-free trip because of that 25-point, fix-all-essential-problems inspection, ya c**ting ingrate?" I hear you ask. About that: I found that their inspection did not cover the Sway Bar Links, because 2 weeks later, there was a horrible grinding noise coming from - you guessed it - the sway bar links. Like the idiot that I am, I went back to Strong's, who (after not much of an inspection, to be fair - though the front desk guy *was* pretty certain based on the noise he heard) said it was the struts, and would be another $800 to replace. Since the car wasn't worth the amount that I was having to pay to fix it within a 3/4-week stretch, and given my previous experience, I decided to engage my brain and shop around.I have now had the sway bar links replaced. The noise is gone, and the struts - like the windshield wipers - won't win the coveted Best Newest Struts in Connecticut award, but they are fine for now. I won't be going back. I like keeping my money.

When I found myself on the side of the road in Enfield, CT with an over heated vehicle (leaking coolant) I knew I had some problems.I call AAA and they recommend Strong's Autocare and I go with that. Mind you I am three hours from my home and three hours from my destination. Basically--dead in the water.I explained my predicament to Rick and he assured me they would do all they could to get me back on the road, even though they had a backlog of clients. Needless to say Rick was true to his word and less than 48 hours later I was back on the road.I cannot express enough praise for Strong's automotive. They caught a safety issue and thorough explained what the issue was, then fixed it. Pricing was a pleasant surprise as well. Even if you are "just passing through" Enfield, CT if you need auto work, schedule with Strong's Autocare--You will not regret it!

My car was giving me a lot of problems. The engine wouldn't accelerate and multiple lights on the dash came on. I didn't even know what was wrong with it. I brought it in to Strong's and they knew exactly how to fix it. The service was great and the people were all very nice.

Don't be fooled by the niceties, smiles and handshakes. Don't be fooled when you email your concerns and Rich from Strong Auto says your opinion matters and he will get back to you soon. Don't be fooled by a reasonable quote they give you over the phone after looking up your car model and how much the repair costs.I called about an ignition coil repair and was told it would be about $95 bucks out the door and I was clear to specify that the price was for parts and labor. I already had the problem diagnosed and knew what part I needed as well as what cylinder was acting up (about $40 from autozone). I was leaving for a trip and didn't have time to do it myself so I figured a hundred bucks was reasonable to get it done in a shop. Well lo and behold... after doing the work I was told I had "an expensive ignition coil" (he looked my car up when I called... He would have seen that info then if it was the case...) not only that but I was charged about $40 for "electrical drawings" and some kind of database access fee. Never in the 8 years I have owned this car and brought it to shops have I been assessed such BS fee's. You would also think that if the first price included parts and labor then the 'expensive' ignition coil would count against that. But no, I was charged 100 for the repair (parts and labor) then another 150 for ignition coil. It was for a mazda, it's a normal off the shelf part. Then close to $50 for other intangible BS I never approved. So they turned a $100 dollar repair into a $300 dollar repair.I then emailed them to discuss this and was responded to by Rich Strong who I assume is the owner or something special. He said he was going to look into the matter and that my satisfaction matters. I waited a week before following up and still heard nothing back. I sent a few more follow up emails and got nothing. Pretty sure he spam listed me. I should have realized they really don't care about their customers when, as I was paying, the man behind the counter answered a call on speaker to a woman nicely asking to speak with the manager, he said He's not here, and hung up on her with no delay. That is some care right there.TL;DR - Find somewhere else to go and save yourself from getting screwed out of a bunch of money.

I really want to thank the great team at Strong Autocare for taking such great care of my car last week! I contacted the Auto repair manager, Mr. Dan Caless, about my car and sent him a long list of things that needed to be done to my car. I have an older car (2000 Toyota Celica GTS, with 286,299 miles on it--original owner), they treated my car like they were working on a 2016 Ferrari! I needed a ton of work done---4 new tires, 4 new struts, 2 new rear rotors, new rear caliper, 4 new sway bars, alignment and to get the car to pass emissions! The car has not run this well in over 10 years! The car is handling like it's supposed to and the ride is very smooth, even when I hit a bump in the road! I did shop around when I needed this work done and found that Strong Autocare could do all of the work and do at a very reasonable price and quickly and they are FRIENDLY too! They fixed my car, got it to pass emissions and did it the right way. They also explained exactly what needed to be done, why it needed to be done and how much it was going to cost...before they did the work. I have gone to some other garages in the past that I know for a fact, that I was "taken" and I either had work done that wasn't needed or paid way too much for the work that I did need done. I am so happy that I finally found an Autocare Center that I can TRUST! I Strongly (pun intended) recommend this garage to all of my family and friends. Thank you again, to Dan Caless and his team for a job very well done, you can trust, that you now have a new and very satisfied customer! They are going to be a big part of making my car get to my goal of 300,000 miles and hopefully many more!

They helped us out when our car broke down up the street. We brought it in and they fixed it under 4hrs. Not only that, they gave us a ride to get food for the kids and brought us home so I could work from home, all without us asking. Fantastic job and much appreciated!
