My accident was 30 seconds but my experience with Ranco was the worse part of my accident. Had to constantly check in to find out status. He didn't care because I had a rental. Complained about ins. co. not paying enough to pay his workers. He had the car for a month. This is way beyond what another collision shop would have taken to fix the car. The car was there for 2 wks before parts were even ordered. 30 minutes before pick up, told me the car needed to be jumped constantly, did I want a battery. They were the cause of the battery dying, found heated seat switches on and they weren't on during accident. Went back the morning after picking up the car as there was a distinct rattle from area of major repair. Said it was the tire jack in the rear. Decided to get car independently evaluated. Ranco missed major issue which should have resulted in a total loss, but his goal was to repair and make the money on the job, not do what was right by me. Had to trade vehicle in and purchase another car.

Kurtis and John both came to our rescue after a very long and miserable wait due to a simple flat tire. AAA sent me a driver who not only took an eternity(1.5 hours), but also signed off on my call as already having arrived when he had not, then cancelled. AAA and a responding police officer each then called a new driver, and by happy coincidence we got these two best friends. Thank goodness because we needed both trucks and both drivers. Late at night with an exhausted baby we were finally on our way home thanks to these two saviors. Two of the friendliest tow drivers i have ever met. Thank you guys

This is a shop that offers auto body work and mechanic repairs. The owner and personal are very straightforward and professional. They know their job and complete work on time and professionally. It's always a pleasure to ask for diagnosis and estimates because they don't try to take advantage of their customers. Highly recommended

Great experience with the folks at Ranco. My wife has taken her company vehicle there twice and both times they were very courteous, professional, fast and fixed her car with outstanding results. It looks like new. Great job guys. Keep it up.

Jeremy the auto Mechanic at Ranco is the best Mechanic I've ever had. He always gets My Jeep back on the road fast and actually listens and understands My concerns.

Zero stars is not an option or that s what I d give them.Had a flat tire and my Volt did not have a spare, so needed a tow. Chevrolet Roadside Assistance first called these guys. Got the notice at 11:53am that they would be there at 1:23. 90 minutes seemed a little long, but it might have been a busy day. Waited til 1:40 and then called them to see when they would be there. A very rude man told me maybe 30-45 minutes. Gave them until 2:45 and gave up on them and called Chevy back. The operator there called Ranco as well and was also treated rudely. The dispatcher wouldn t even give her a time (mind you, I had already been waiting over 3 hours on a mild July day). She cancelled the assistance request. The next tow operator was on the scene in 30 minutes and got me to a dealership in 20 minutes after that.Must be nice to have so many customers that you can afford to tick people off...

Great experience after a big fender bender, Andrew took care of arrangements with the rental car and insurance, super friendly and a huge help, and the work was quickly done. Car looks like new and I was happily surprised to find it cleaned & detailed inside and out when I picked it up.

The tow and driver were both excellent and professional but dealing with the manager over the phone was beyond frustrating. After my insurance gave me an estimated time of arrival, I called Ranco directly after not being there 30 minutes later. The response was "what's the big hurry, the dealer is closed?" This puts the customer in an awkward situation. At any rate, an appointment was made for a tow 24 hours in advance and they were 1.5 hours late to arrive.

Original time was over an hour later...I found tow truck that could come in 30 minutes. I tried to cancel Ranco but they said they would be there in 30 minutes. I got a call from roadside assistance over an hour later stating that they would be there in 15 minutes. 20 minutes later they had not even dropped off their previous accident. They had contacted roadside assistance company over 30 minutes before there truck was available. Person on call was rude and kept lying about times. They took over 2 hours to come. Cancelled roadside assistance service because of this experience. I should have looked up reviews and realized they were unethical.

The most honest, reliable, helpful auto shop. I can't say enough wonderful things about them! It is nice to have a trustworthy place to bring my cars. My family loves the service they bring. We have been so happy with them for a number of years!

The dispatcher for towing is a massive jerk. Don t work in a business where you deal with people if you hate people. He s a grump, he s incredibly rude, uses foul language. I asked for an update on my tow, asked for a ROUGH time frame, and he responded well do you want me to pull something out of my @$$?! The driver on the other hand was fabulous & was incredibly kind. He was fast, and absolutely stellar.

STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE! I REPEAT, STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!Let me share my unpleasant experience with this garbage business. Folks, please grab some popcorn, blanket, and enjoy the show.Friday night, March 1, 2019, on my way home from work, my 12 years old car decided to give up on me. I pulled into a vacant office building and called my insurance roadside assistance. They assigned Ranco Collision . I gave them a call to let them know I will leave the car in the lot. He instructed me to leave the key under the mat so I did. Two hours later, I received a follow up text from my insurance. I called Ranco to confirm and he said yes.Sunday night, March 3, 2019, my husband and I decided to swing by the auto shop (where my car supposed to be at) since its right down the street where we live. Lo and behold, the car is not there and the shop closed on the weekend. We drove to the parking lot where I was at and of course, it wasn t there. I called Ranco he said I have no recollection of your vehicle and we don t go to Simsbury! In awed and stunned, I called my insurance company. The agent talked to Ranco and got the same response. He suggested me to file a police report. It was around 7 PM and snow starts pouring so I didn t feel like driving to police station. My husband suggested to call the insurance company again and have them three way calling with Ranco, so we did. After explaining everything to the agent, she connected us to Ranco. At first, he still claimed he had no recollection of my car. The agent told him the PO number and immediately he remembers and said he dropped it off at the auto shop. I told him it s not there because we were just there and looked everywhere. He, obnoxiously and unprofessionally, said we don t responsible for anything happen to the car after we dropped it off. (Y ALL HOLD ON TO YOUR BRIDGES), he then said BESIDES, WHO WOULD STEAL A HONDA?! Wow just wow first of all, you don t talk like that to your customers. Second of all, if you want to be a jerk, please at least be a correct one. Do you research! To top of his idiocy, he told us (Insurance agent, my husband, and I) that he took the picture of my car when he dropped it off but IT S ONLY FOR ME AND MY GUY . He finally decided to share this-so-called picture GUESS WHAT HE SENT?! He sent a screenshot from Google map of the wrong auto shop. I told him that s not my car , and he said that s where he (his guy) dropped it off. I stopped correspondence with him.Monday morning, March 4, 2019. Yupe, it s confirmed that Ranco dropped it off at the wrong location. I understand mistakes happened, if they handled it professionally, I won t be writing this. The End.I hope my experience will make you STAY AWAY FROM THIS DUMPSTER!

GO ELSEWHERE, Terrible Auto service. Boss is very rude and unprofessional. Had a tow done through Geico, they did not follow instructions and placed the car in the wrong location, then told me I had to have insurance company pay again, or pay out of pocket, to come out and have it moved again. Afterward the shop owner hung up. Wouldn't have them tow me again if my car died in the middle of nowhere.
