Worst place to do business ever. If you are renting equipment I wouldn t rely on your rental actually happening. We rented a lift in advance, paid a large sum of money, showed up for pick up just to be told sorry we don t have it right now. come back tomorrow we paid for 24 hour rental. You want to shave 12 hours off our rental and think that s okay? My husband was questioning this practice and some guy maybe the owner? Got irate and extremely disrespectful towards my husband. Told him to get the F out of his store and chased him out into the parking lot. Never give that place your business! Not only will you be out of luck when you show up for your rental and it s not there, but the owner will cause a scene and disrespect a paying customer. Disgusting.

Horrible customer service and attitude from front desk attendants both in person and on phone. I ve bought planters and bulk materials here, I ve rented equipment, I ve shopped in their stores, but I dislike doing business with Lots & More and only do so out of convenience, not because its a nice place to shop or because I feel valued as a customer or because I get good customer service. There are so many places like this to go I just have to start taking my business up the road, at least there I get good customer service and feel valued as a customer and to boot they are always helpful and greet you with a smile. Shame on you Lots & More!

2 days ago my son applied for a job at the South Windsor store. While reviewing my son's application, the interviewer said "only good people don't get laid off". If my son paused while thinking the best way to answer a question, the interviewer said he seemed "confused" which wasn't good for this job. When my son attempted to explain he has autism so he processes information differently, the interviewer said "that's just an excuse". My son is an Eagle Scout, college graduate (4 yrs, on time), and is trying very hard to make his way in the world. I will never bring my business to a company that employs such rude, condescending, offensive people as that interviewer. There are options.

I actually used the rental services offered. I needed a tracked skid steer for a landscaping project. I was easily able to book the unit I needed, at a very reasonable price and delivery/pickup charge. The staff were great, helpful and pleasant during the entire process. The machine I got was only 2 years old and in excellent shape, worked perfectly.This will be my one and only stop for equipment rental of this nature.Thanks guys! The project went great and the wife is happy!

Would give 0 STARS if possible...for customer service and respect. tried to order bark mulch with Cashier ROBERT T. a extremely rude employee . For Unknown reasons, He began shouting extremely loud at me (as if he didn't take his medication ). I asked him to calm down( from his extreme loud shouting) as all I wanted is Mulch delivered ....He screamed across room, " Look at home DONNA, He wants me to calm down" "Calm down , ( he repeated ) "I am calm" screaming even louder into the ceiling ( camera??) He progressively escalated his abusive tone loudness, and behavior ranting " The old man wants me to calm down " and " look at him he is turning red" ( which I was) I asked him to temper himself at this point ...ROBERT T. then started mimicking me louder...repeating my words. As I felt threatened , after ROBERT T mentioned something ? ( unintelligible) about Trump he became more unpredictable ....at which time I left Lots and More believing he may assault me.... After leaving, I called the Manager ( DONNA) and stated no one should be treated like that FOR NO Obvious reasons....literally disorderly conduct by an employee,, elder abuse, customer abuse, and rudeness at its extreme, again for no reasonable apparent explanation, ( reasonable being the operative word by an unreasonable employee) ( unless he did not take his medication)ATTN CORPORATE, this employee should not be working at Lot and more interacting with customers, he is abusive and threatening .....check your video recording..

Great place for discount EVERYTHING! Excellent power and machine rentals. The owners Bill keeps his team on top of every detail. Total customer service you won't find elsewhere. Just rented this great Husqvarna SD22 overseeder. Clean, great shape, like new! Came with a full take of gas. And unlike the big box store, you can reserve and pay in advance so you know you'll have your machine.

The owner is always polite and ready to help. We rented a rototiller, it worked very well. They were happy we put gas back in after using it. Love their great prices! We always have great luck with their plants too.

I had to rent the below machine for my contractor to do maintenance on my business. It was a fair price & easy to rent at 1st. On the contract, direct instructions were left to call my contractor, for my husband & I would be on vacation. Instructions were not followed, and I ended up having to be the middle person on several different occasions. In addition, we were told that the machine was charged hourly for there was an hr Guage on the machine. My contractor followed instructions from Donna not to use on a rainy day. They took 1 week to pickup the machine & charged us 2 additional days for them not picking up! I had to cancel my card while on vacation & now have to fraud out the additional charges at my bank when I go home. On several occasions we got sworn at by employees & even the driver whom is picking up the machine. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL! Stay far away!

This morning. I called to get a price for a yard of much for delivery and the sales person that answer the phone was very rude and rushing me off the phone because she had another call, as I'm trying to write down the information. Very poor customer services...so the other customer is more important, while I'm on the phone??? Cant understand that. Very poor experience!

I have been coming to the stores for years and I called today for a simple question and the lady that answer the phone so rude!!! I told her that I did not mean to upset her and was asking her a question for a delivery that was already paid for. I m a disappointed

I can truly say that I have never been to a store that CARED LESS about their customers. I will NOT return! The owner is incredibly rude and the women behind the counter stares blankly at you, not offering any help what so ever. They act like they are doing you a favor to be able to shop there.

Super friendly service. Friendly staff. Rental items for your yard work is cheaper than Home Depot. I rented a stamper and completed my project. They have a vast array of items they carry but focus on yard supplies like plants and trees, mulch, stone and rakes, building materials etc. The More in their name includes personal items like socks and hygiene items like combs, brushes, tooth paste, etc. I only wish they were closer to my home since I have to cross the river to gret there. But it's worth the drive.

We buy most of our outdoor plants here. The selections are really good, decent prices and organized. The end of the season deals are EXCELLENT!!! Inside the store there's tons of stuff I really don't shop inside much. A downer is the scent of gardening chemicals right at the front door. They are located right on Route 5 in South Windsor. We visit every summer.

Lots & More is a terrible place to work. Save your time for a company who values their employees. I worked here August to November, and I ve watched the owner turn into a narcissistic person. I was scolded on a daily basis for petty or no reasons. A simple, Hey could you fix that would ve been enough. I was sentenced to price product until my wrist would be sore for the repetitive behavior. I would try to restock certain sections, or clean up the store, but I d be told to find something to price because that s all I was capable of doing. I addressed his behavior to the hiring manager (his partner) and nothing changed. It only got worse. We had one teenager work for Lots & More, and fired. After he left, the owner started chuckling about how the boy was going to go home to shoot himself because of his disability. As a suicide survivor and victim, this was not okay. I was visibly upset and my other coworker gave me an attitude about going to the bathroom to wash up. I addressed the owner s behavior again, and in response, my hours were cut drastically. My ideal plan was to find another job then quit with a notice, but my health was being impacted by the job at Lots & More. I will put my health first before anything. There was so many issues in this company. I was told it was my fault that HE fired the new kid because I didn t notice him sweeping. He asked a customer if his slur was because of alcoholism or popping pills. He is only friendly and welcoming to his rental customers, which is where his money comes from.After working there, I found out he has been fined by OSHA for various reasons. If you look it up, it s available online. He claims his products are all American made. NONE of his product is American.He claims to be a billionaire, but lives in a tiny room in the attic of the South Windsor location.If it wasn t for my health declining, I would ve stayed and roughed it out, but I battled years to finally get my health stable. I would like to not watch it backpedal.This place is not recommended to work for, or buy from. Buyers beware.

I went for Marigolds, Petunias and to look at herbs. Decent pricing, good varieties of Marigolds and Petunias, but the quantity and quality of their herbs were poor. Maybe the "good" ones were already purchased by someone else. I'll be back again, though, for other things later on.

A little slow at the store but have had terrific service. Rented bobcat and bought some mason sand. Everything was delivered when needed and in great shape. Prices are also good. Needed more sand last minute and made another trip out on same day. Very helpful.

The owner is absolutely horrible. Witnessed him yelling, making fun of and degrading a customer in front of other customers. The customer had her two young children with her and he was continually yelling. I left my shopping cart full of flowers as I could not imagine being a customer after witnessing that. Horrible customer service especially on Mother s Day.

This store has a little bit of everything with great prices. Especially enjoy getting any and all of my plants there in the springtime. Service is great! The owner is very involved and goes the extra mile for the customer!

My husband went in to complain about being charged extra for a rental that was returned damaged. It qas in perfect condition when it was returned. Made very inappropriate comments about my family and called the cops on my husband. He tried to bait my husband into hitting him. Will never shop there again!

Yesterday may 22 ,2020 I went there to get soil and mulch. Upon arriving a worker was nearby so I said I needed soil and mulch and he rudely replied that they don t load it for you. I said but I m a senior and am not able to. He could have cared less. I said fine and I will never shop here again. So much for supporting a business in the town I live in.

Very disappointed at their new Willington store this afternoon. I was very happy with the products and prices but ended up walking out of the store with how EXTREMELY RUDE the cashiers (mostly the female) were to an older gentleman in line before me. Sad- great products but HORRIBLE customer service.
