Terrible overall experience with the service department.*Service Writer... Kyle: Poor communication to the point where I had to contact my extended warranty company because he just assumed that my repairs were not going to be covered. It took him around 2 days to call back with an answer on the covered repair I confirmed with the warranty company in less than an hour. I had to call back several times to ask the status of my vehicle.*Overpriced parts and services*Lousy mechanic work: Finally, after a week of waiting for my vehicle to be fixed, when my husband went to pick it up the same noise that was supposed to be addressed by their recommendation was still there! After 30 minutes of waiting for a manager or the tech that work on the car, just to take it for a test drive, the tech confirmed that the noise was still there but now he thinks is normal after charging me and my extended warranty company over $2,000 to fix the issue. I understand that you have to start somewhere in order to solve a problem but its dishonest to say is normal just because they don't want to keep trying to find the real problem.On top of all that, as soon as I got home, my husband inspected under the hood just to find out the tech left couple parts loose as he did not install all the clips back in place, also the transmission breather cap is missing.Overall, I just want to say that I would NOT trust this service department ever again, I just hope that I would never have to go back to this dealership.

A lot of people will tell you to find a local mechanic vs the dealership for maintenance and repairs.I've experienced the opposite. Paul Harris, Service Advisor at Curtis Ryan Honda treated me like gold!He explained everything that needed attention on my HondaCR-V EX and why.The prices seem very reasonable. Additionally, my car needed a new driver's side visor. He arranged for it to come from Honda N/C. It's a good feeling to experience great customer service!Carolee M.

Mixed Experience: Great Purchase, Mediocre Customer ServiceI purchased a Honda CRV Sports Hybrid 2023 model from Curtiss Ryan Honda Dealership back in July 2023, and my overall experience has been a mix of positives and negatives.The sales representative was friendly and helpful, and I managed to snag a good deal on the car. The vehicle itself is impressive and meets my expectations. However, my enthusiasm was dampened by the lackluster customer service provided by the dealership.Upon taking delivery of the car, I had hoped for some level of celebration or at least a small gesture like a decorative bow, especially considering it was my first car and a surprise for my parents. While this wasn't explicitly requested, it would have added a special touch to the occasion.My disappointment escalated when I recently visited the dealership for maintenance. Typically, I expect some form of feedback or acknowledgment when I entrust my vehicle for servicing. Unfortunately, all I received was a brief call informing me that the requested tasks were completed, with a mention that parts had been ordered for additional remaining work and they will follow up, but without clarity on the timeframe for completion. Additionally, they mentioned that I could pick up my car in the meantime. This lack of transparency left me uncertain about whether the necessary maintenance was actually performed.Moreover, I was surprised to find that my car wasn't even cleaned on the outside/inside after the service, which is a common courtesy in many automotive service centers. A clean car not only indicates that the work has been completed but also provides a sense of satisfaction to the customer. That was at least what I had hoped to receive.Overall, while my initial purchase experience was satisfactory, the after-sales customer service has been underwhelming. Improvements in communication, transparency regarding service tasks, and basic courtesies like cleaning the vehicle post-service would greatly enhance the overall customer experience at Curtiss Ryan Honda Dealership.

Believe me when I tell you I spent over a week driving throughout Connecticut to find that Curtiss Ryan is the place to buy Honda from. Peter Micca and Jack made my purchase unbeatable with the all the bells and whistle you need with your Honda purchase and care for your vehicle. These at two of my purchases since 2021. I will continue to make all my purchases here.

I have a 2019 Honda pilot and every time it rains, I get water on the driver s side floor. I brought the car in and was told they are unable to locate the leak. Today it s raining and I called to see if I can bring the car in so the mechanic can see the leak and try to trace it back to see where the water is entering the car. I was told I should take pictures and schedule another appointment. I am not satisfied at all with the service department. I felt like I was taken advantage of when I brought my car in for service the last time and now this issue with the leak. This is not an isolated issue. I did some research and other pilot owners are having the same issue. There s rust and corrosion on the wires and brackets under the dash and I am told there s no leak.

I had a great experience with Christopher Mrijaj while purchasing my new Accord. He was incredibly friendly and knowledgeable, and made the buying process super easy. The entire staff was friendly, and I was in and out with no headache. 10/10 experience, and I would recommend Curtiss Ryan to anyone looking to purchase a new Honda.

My lease was ending and my fianc� and I had decided on a Honda Odyssey Touring. After going to a different Honda dealership, we decided to try Curtiss Ryan in Shelton for a few different reasons. Our experience at the other dealership had us scratching our heads. The trade in value they were quoting us was too low in comparison to what the vehicle was worth on Kelley Blue Book and their quote on the minivan was much higher than the MSRP. Not only was that frustrating, but they handed us a break down for the price on a piece of paper and the numbers did not even add up. We walked into Curtiss Ryan with a completely opposite experience. Perry Gountas, our sales consultant and Jack Pape, the business manager was honest, transparent, knowledgeable, kind and patient and walked us through everything. Not only did they offer us the best price for both the trade in vehicle and Honda, but they were extremely professional and trustworthy. Those two things are very hard to find but Curtiss Ryan knocked it out of the park. Thank you

Paul Harris, my service advisor, has been exceptional. He guided me through an extended warranty repair process when the transmission on my 2018 Honda HRV failed on the highway. The service Paul provided, along with the consistent excellence of Curtis Ryan's service on my previous visits, warrants the 5-star rating I'm awarding today.Regrettably, this experience has led me to conclude that this will likely be my final Honda purchase. The malfunction of Honda's CVT transmission nearly caused a bad accident on the highway when my car lost all power while navigating a curved exit. Stranded and unable to move, I had to dial 911 as vehicles approached from behind, unable to see around the corner. Fortunately, a state trooper arrived on the scene quickly to help push my vehicle to the nearest exit ramp. This unexpected event occurred just as the car reached 100,000 miles.While I appreciate Honda's coverage of the CVT under an extended warranty, this incident, coupled with the catalytic converter also failing at 100k of mostly highway miles was deeply disappointing. I've been adamant about routine vehicle maintenance so these problems really came as a surprise.

Christopher Mrijaj and Jack Pape were an excellent and knowledgeable saleperson and business manager who readily showed us exactly what we needed and provided sound advice and recommendations that looked out for our complete benefit. All our questions and concerns were addressed. The final car we purchased was not even out in the lot, but had newly arrived at the lot. My husband and I had such a wonderful experience here. We came in and already knew the car my husband wanted. The process went so smoothly and we were there for only an hour and a half. The salesman, Luis, was also wonderful. He was very knowledgable and professional and we enjoyed being able to work with him. Marcin was also great to work with too. There was great communication and both Marcin and Luis were patient and informative. My husband picked up his car today and again, everything went smoothly. He is so happy. We are very satisfied with our experience there. A very professional environment. We also drove up from New York just to get this car. Perry the sales rep was great, as well as Marcin in financing. I was ready to leave with an HRV, but unfortunately, when the numbers came through it just wasn t in the cards any longer for me. They held the car for me with a deposit, as we tried to financially figure it out. They gave us no issues about getting the refund back, Perry understood times are rough right now. Even checking out the car & taking it for a drive went smoothly & speaking with Marcin was simple, too. We had gone to dan perkins subaru prior to this as we were going to maybe trade in my forester that I have now for a new one - but then I decided to go with Honda, and Perry & Marcin had wayyyyyy better energy than dan perkins subaru. We just felt comfortable in general with them & didn t feel pushed - things were understood & that s much appreciated. we ll be back when the timing is right!

I almost never write reviews, but my family dropped by Curtiss-Ryan Honda for a car emergency while in the middle of a road trip. They were gracious enough to see us despite being booked for the day. I would like to recognize Paul Harris for being so helpful and so kind. Their service is unmatchable and they will not charge you tremendous extra fees like other service shops would. We also want to thank Calvin for diagnosing the car problem quickly and sending us safely on our way. This place treats definitely you like family. If I could give them 6 stars, I would!
