George and the team of technicians did an excellent job providing maintenance services on my wife s Nissan while we were in town visiting family. Very efficiently executed. I came in for an oil change but left happily with several services done (transmission fluid change, radiator fluid flushing, and a new air filter). Knowledgeable without being pushy. Turn into Colonial Road to access back of building.

Recently visited this location to have my oil changed. The staff was friendly, courteous and professional. All my filters were changed, the air on my tires were also taken care of, all fluids topped off. GREAT JOB! I highly recommend!

Great experience! Technician was friendly and thorough. No wait and I like that I can stay in my car. Maybe offer a bottle of water or juice and it would be a better experience. I will definitely be back for all of my needs.

Went with my son to get an oil change with him cause the warning light was on and the tech that checked realized it was never reset before and he didn't need an oil change so fixed the issue and no charge. About time find some honest people are still out there.

This location always has a little wait, and its for good reason. I've gone to other instant oil place in and around New Britain Newington Plainville and this one is probably top 3 if not the best.

I always get my oil change here. The guys are very respectful I get my car done nice and fast. I love that they open so early.I have been coming here for years never had a problem.I however noticed that the staff changes a lot, but lately I have seen the same people which is nice for a change.

They are great every time I go there. I have been going to Valvoline since 2019 to get my oil changed done. While I wait inside my car during my oil change instead of waiting in a sitting room waiting for my car to get my oil change. Yes, it depends on the time of the day or what day of the week to get my get my oil change done. I just have to wait in line with your car inside the building to get your oil change done.

I was on vacation so my husband bought my car to get an oil change. When he did the person doing the oil change said I had a passenger brake light out. It was an outrageous price but he had it replaced! (I could have done it for a quarter of the price). Well when I came home and he took my car to the grocery store I noticed that that same brake light was out! This is within two weeks! While taking the bulb out to replace it I noticed it wasn t even there! It had fallen out and now in the gully of the casing! After help from my son we managed to get the bulb after an hour of fishing it out! Ridiculous that someone doesn t even know how to replace a bulb there!

Great service. They explained everything very thoroughly in a way that was easy to understand and didn't push unnecessary services. Best oil change yet and I didn't even have to get out of my car!

Do not go to this place for oil change. They are deceitful and dishonest. They changed the oil for full synthetic that goes for 5000 miles and charged me $111.00, but they purposefully put on the sticker 3000 miles. I called their customer service but they were rude and said this is a company policy. From now on I won t change oil at any valvoline place for my 4 cars. The local shop is much better.

I have been a Valvoline customer for years. This last visit was just okay. I never get the feeling the guys do what they are supposed to do. I had oil changed on my car. One tech under the hood, one in the pit & one checking tire pressure. Oil level on dip-stick look good when the tech showed it to me. I paid and was on my way. About 7 hours latter my "tire pressure" light on dashboard lights up..seriously?! Seems like to big of a coincidence to me. The tire have less that 4K miles on them. The other thing I didn't like is the tech standing in the bay door smoking. Smoke if you want to, but customers shouldn't have to smell that & it makes me feel like my cat isn't the biggest priority... loosing confidence in Valvoline..all of them, not just thos location.

Let me start by saying I have been going to the Plainville location for years with all 5 of our cars. Never had any issue that management didn't own up to our fix, I had no complaints, (I also do not normally post any reviews to complain about anything unless I feel the issue really warrants). On 10/4 I brought in one of my cars, this car has a metal oil canniser the filter sits in and a year ago they had damaged the oil canister at this location and replaced it at no charge. On 10/4 I went in and the cannister from what I understand would not come off, the guy downstairs was forcibly trying to do something, made the car shake and rock and then called the manager down, he then came back up and told an employee to tell me it would need to be taken to a dealer and that the cannister would not come off without being damaged; (oil would be no charge though). I informed him that a year ago the same thing happened and I asked for a specific manager that knew about it. I was told the whole crew was replaced within the last 8-months (you really can tell by their lack of customer service skills) and after I again told the service guy that it had happened there and they replaced the cannister, he actually denied that it happened because he said it would show up on his computer screen. I could not believe that, he had me searching my emails for the receipt showing the transaction and then again said it didn't happen. Then I asked that they try again, the manager who knew what was going on started saying as he went downstairs something about if it breaks..blah, blah, blah, not responsible or something like that, it was very unprofessional hearing it as he really was not speaking to me directly or anyone else. After another 5 minutes he came back up and said it was all set, and somehow they where either turning it the wrong way or something but the filter was replaced. I am not sure exactly what he said I didnt ask because I just wanted to leave. The manager also appologized for what he had said. After I started the car the guy waiting on me did not check the oil and also didnt even ask if the dash indicator needed to be re-set, I had to ask him to do both.Anyway I am now quite sure this visit has ended my confidence in Valvoline, I'll just bring the cars to the dealer from now on or an independent shop that values customers and customer service.Service: Oil change

Great and friendly staff, fast service and usually in an out in under 20 minutes. I do wish there wasn't such an attempt to up-sell items. I know they are doing their best and trying to make sure my car gets what it needs but constantly asking if I want additional services are a bit bothersome. I always go to this location and have never had a problem, I have always disliked the upsell in places like this. Otherwise highly recommended on all aspects.

I absolutely love these guys! I went in early Saturday which was extremely busy I did have to wait but the wait wasn't very long I was in and out within maybe 30 minutes. Which is pretty good seeing that it was a Saturday and they were extremely busy. Employees are always super nice super friendly. And they don't pressure you to get added things. Love going there!

Just left this shop. I received multiple coupons for and oil change, brought in three of them, however, only two could be used as one of them said not combined with any other offers. I was set at 74.99 for an oil change and then all of a sudden the store manager named George came out and told me he will only allow one of the coupons that went through. They had already took my car and given me a set price of the 74.99 and he was VERY inconsiderate and had a HORRIBLE attitude for a manager. He then told me the price will be 86.99 and when I said this isn t the price I was given he continued to tell me it didn t matter and he then refused to service my car. The coupons I used didn t say anything about combining therefore they should have been awarded. This was embarrassing I own a business and bring all my vehicles and my company cars there as well. They should really make sure to hire professional people to manage this looks horrible for a business.Service: Oil change

They cracked my oil pan by over torquing the drain plug. I didn t find out until a few days later when my oil light came on so I pulled over in my engine was completely dry. I put oil in it and brought it to a shop and they showed me the crack right at the drain plug. I contacted them to right their wrongs, and of course they said they would call me back and proceeded to go on Google and look for reasons that it could happened naturally and then told me it s common that the oil pans on my model are not built strong so I should contact the dealer to get it fixed because it wasn t something they did. I had to pay for all repairs out of pocket.Service: Oil change

I have had many great experiences with valvoline for all my oil changes. When they couldn't do my tire rotation, they recommended a great place for me to go. I had some trouble with a Groupon with them and they took the time to make it right. I will always go back here. Everyone was polite and wonderful!

I had smoke coming from my engine which freaked me out so I stopped at Valvoline. My guess was it was an air conditioning issue. Anthony provided excellent service and was really thorough with investigating what the check engine light issue was. He was very knowledgeable and was extremely honest with his opinion of the check engine light issues. 10/10 great service and great associate.Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Air conditioning

Went in for a simple oil change and when it was finished my car wouldn t start. They took no responsibility for it and told me I had a bad battery. The only response I kept getting was it happens. My battery was perfectly fine until the moment I got to valvoline. What a coincidence! Finally jump started my car and had all sorts of warning lights on the dash and had little to no help solving that. Now I probably need to buy a new battery for my car. Joke.

I usually don't take the time to write reviews but I absolutely have to for these guys. By far the BEST oil change, tire rotation, and servicing experience I've ever had. I was in there and out in 20minutes, the staff was very courteous and friendly, and you even get to chill in your car the entire time. They even gave me a complimentary $15 coupon without me even asking, which I very much so appreciated.

Went here for a oil change first time as they were recommended. Waited 20 minutes in line only for a car that came way after me to be taken first. When manager was confronted he was very rude and explained it just happens that way here. When told I probably won t be coming back here again, he said ok and shrugged his shoulders instead of trying to make the situation lightened or try to keep a customer coming and happy. Clearly they don t care for their customers or want them back. I did not get a oil change here and reported them to corporate. Good luck to future clients.
