My first time there for emission testing. They were very kind and considerate. I highly recommend them. I will definitely keep them in mind if I need my car serviced. Thank you.

This is the BEST place to get a balance and alignment done on your vehicle. The guys here took special care of my 1998 Lincoln Mark VIII and it shows. Over the 5+ years I ve owned this vehicle and numerous alignments at other shops Central Connecticut Tire is by far the best. It s unbelievable how much better my car drives now thanks to the guys at this shop. Very fast service and they got it right even with the tight clearance on my wheels. Highly recommend and will be bringing my other vehicles in for future balance and alignments.

A month ago, I left my car BMW here for a simple service to change my rear tires and brakes. The car had nothing wrong before, and I wanted to make it safer. I gave them my car at 9:00AM with the appointment time, they called me the car ready for a pickup at 4:30PM. It costed me more than $1700.After my service, I had even the worse results now.1) the car had the engine light on after two days later, this signal was on and off randomly. I have never had such issue before.2) I rarely used my AC system. I knew my AC is in very good condition. Today, July 4th, 2023 (almost month later) As I drove home with a heavy rain, then the first time after the service I turned the car's AC on. Then I found immediately the AC came only the fan air, no cold air even I turned it to 61F degree.3) The brake now randomly made a loud metal noise.4) I went back to tell my issue about the Engine light on week later while I drove my car there. Because there were couple of customers sitting around, the guy in front desk was very rude to dress me down loudly while in my turn to speak with him.I do not know how to deal with my car now. I hope the comments here will help you. You should be careful to leave your car there for any service if you still like to do the service, at least you should have your eyes on your car.I thought the neighborhood business should be kind and trustful.....When their young technician drove my car back to return the key and car to me( about 1.5 miles away), I was very thankful and made him a bubble tea. Normally he should drink it immediately, it was very hot outside. Curiously.. ..He prefer staying outside and helding the bubble tea untouched outside my store and waiting for his pickup.Without the symptoms above, I would like to give my good words.

I've been here numerous times for emissions testing which was always fast and efficient. My 2014 Camry was in need of suspension and brakes. Mike answered all of my questions, wrote up the quote and subsequently ordered OEM parts. The mechanics did a great job in a timely manner.

I was quite distressed having gone to a Valvoline for a simple oil change and came out with a cracked oil pan. I have been quoted estimates from $300 all the way to $700 to do the repair. As a single mom of four, I was less than unhappy that this Bill had occurred. I continue to call around and look for a suitable place for the repair. I called Central Connecticut tire and service for an estimate on my repair and replacement of the cracked oil pan. I spoke with a gentleman there who was so pleasant and so eager to offer his help that I began to tell him what had happened to the oil pan. After 10 minutes of speaking I decided that this is where I would have my repairs done. I had asked if I could furnish the parts for the repair since I had already purchased them. The majority of repair shops will not allow you to purchase Parts but this gentleman said that that was fine. The person that had picked up the parts for me didn't realize that the oil pan was incorrect. I then contacted the person at the shop who identified himself as Ron. Ron then allowed me to use his corporate account to have the part delivered to his establishment. The repairs were done beautifully and completed in such a timely manner with the most help that I have ever received from a mechanic. I would recommend anyone to come to the shop if they want an honest repair and an honest price for their repairs. The owner of the shop is a gentleman, a true honest and good person. I cannot thank him and his mechanic team enough for helping me so much. It's not every day a stranger over the phone exhibits this type of kindness and care. This is the best mechanic I have ever been to in 30 years.

I'm new to CT and it has been a struggle to find a trustworthy mechanic that won't try and rip me off. They were knowledgeable and kind. And I must say their customer service is excellent. Very friendly and trustworthy people. They also finished my car pretty fast. And if you live in the area, they will offer transportation if you don't have anyone to follow you to drop your car off.

The crew at Central Ct.Tire are awesome! Ron and Mike always try to fit me in their schedule when I need a repair. I have total trust in them and the staff there to fix my vehicle. Everyone is friendly ..it's like being with family when I go there!

This is the second time I have gone there for emissions. It was so quick and easy and the waiting area is very nice, with green plants and interesting old toy trucks.. The people here are terrific, they really looked out for me. When I need tire service, this is the place I will go . It is rare to meet such honest and kind men.B.Dawn Kelly-Ayala

Highly Recommend these guys. Great service and communication. I don't feel safe or trust many mechanics with my vehicles and I trust these guys 100%. I've only had my vehicles worked on three times, one by a trustworthy mechanic in Maine, and twice by these guys. I'll be coming back here for sure.

Went for a simple service (emissions test and tire leak), and left stunned by the rudeness and unprofessionalism of the person at the front desk. I asked to use their wifi and he handed me a piece of paper with two handwritten 16-character codes that were barely legible. After several unsuccessful attempts to log in, I started grumbling audibly, at which point the person snatched back the paper, put it in the back office, and walked away. He returned with my completed emissions paperwork and told me they were "too busy" to look at the tire. Essentially, I was refused service because I complained about the wifi (for Seinfield fans, think "No soup for you!"). I have never been treated with such disrespect by a so-called service professional. Needless to say, I will be taking my business elsewhere in the future.

I highly recommend everyone use this shop (especially females) I completely trust them with any vehicle for any reason. Ron (the owner) and his employees are extremely lovely individuals. I am a female who has very little knowledge of vehicles and it is so easy to be taken advantage of in this industry and have never felt that way here at all. I actually feel they have gone above and beyond any mechanic shops duty In helping me whenever & however they can. They shoot it straight and always make me feel comfortable with my decisions. They are kind, compassionate and extremely knowledgable in what they do. Central Ct Tire will always be on my list of wonderful mechanic shops. Thanks for always being so wonderful guys!

I've gone here for emissions tests and an alignment once. When I cheerfully and politely asked a question about how the alignment went and why on the bill write up one of the wheels was still out a couple degrees, the guy at the counted had a bad attitude about it. That was t too cool.

They did the alignment on my 4x4 audi. Was fast service at a good price. They were able to give me some info on another issue while the car was on the lift. Will go back for more service

I've been a loyal customer with them for years, even with their pricey repairs, spending thousands of dollars on repairs. This most recent visit will be the last, however. Do not let them order parts for you if you can help it. They will charge significantly more for parts than you can find on your own. I saved $600 on two parts by going to AutoZone. Caution: if there is a subsequent problem, they'll be quick to blame the customer-bought part, not their work.They do not waive the $95 diagnostic fee for a Service Engine light, even if you have the associated repair done because they "spend the time" to hook it up to the hand-held code reader. I already had the code read for free at AutoZone, but Goodyear doesn't make money on that so they run the test anyway.I did need them to order two parts for me. They didn't order one of the parts that I needed ahead of time (the other wasn't planned for) and had to leave the car overnight to wait for both parts. They knew what part I'd need since they did a quote for me prior to the appointment, but they didn't plan ahead.Lastly, their mechanics installed one of my tires backwards. The tires are omni-directional, and they screwed up the installation. I noticed when I got home after double-checking their work-- Good thing I did. The place that has the word "TIRE" in their name doesn't put on TIRES correctly. They tell me how valuable their time is, but mine is apparently worthless to them. They couldn't care less that I'm not returning. Save time, money and aggravation by going somewhere else.Update: the check engine light came on after the repair. I was told by the guy who always works the front desk that I'd have to wait a week to have it looked at and pointed out that they'd have to charge me again for a diagnostic test, especially because I bought my own part for the repair. After showing up anyway, one of their mechanics, who does good work and is the shop's only redeeming quality, took care of it right away. It took 5 minutes.

If any business deserves a zero star rating for sales and customer service, it's this one. I came in earlier today for an emissions test, and was "greeted" by a grumpy old fart with all the heft of Santa Claus, but none of his jolly attitude. While waiting, I asked some questions about having work done on my truck, like going up a tire size or running spacers. Given a lobby decked out with all things motorsport, and given that I'm in the market for some upgrades that would be fitting for a tire shop like this, I figured it would be good conversation. I figured wrong. The bargain-brand Rodney Dangerfield behind the front desk wanted nothing to do with me or my business. I asked again about having some stripped bolts removed, figuring it would be convenient to do with the truck still inside the garage and no customers waiting, and would be an easy couple bucks for them, but nope - wouldn't even take a look, and rudely declined. Asked one more question on my way out (this time about performance exhaust and passing emissions), and before I could even finish my sentence, the big cheese at the front desk interrupts me and tells me in no uncertain terms that "they don't do that here" (not what I was asking) and that he could apparently be "put in jail" for... talking about it? (...what? ) Bottom line, I'd rather do a backflip into a ball pit of sea urchins than come here again.
