Had my car towed there due to bad coils very professional mechanics, and honest.. my car drives sharp now I love the feel behind the wheel no more roughness I m impressed I will definitely do business with them again Ernie I wish I can give you more than five stars! So happy

My (old) car needed a new radiator and might. Adam at Ernie s was exceptionally honest and transparent about in what situations these repairs would be worth it vs replacing the vehicle. I decided to go through with it and he quoted me one of the lowest prices out of many places I called. He kept me updated through the process, was very easy to reach, and I felt that he was being very fair and honest throughout the process. I am so thankful to have found a shop I trust so much in the area and I will now only take my car to them. I got my car back cleaner than I left it and driving better than ever. I highly recommend doing business with them!

I can not say enough positive things about this staff. From the very first phone call, Adam was so friendly and personable. Anthony gave me a quote $300 less than anywhere else I had called and when he started to do the work and realized there was another problem, he was honest and straight forward. He gave me excellent advice and I never for one second felt like I was being taken advantage of or questioned the accuracy of what he was telling me. He rotated my tires for free just because the fronts were worn and it would be safer for me. The gentleman who checked me out was equally as polite and friendly. I will never go anywhere else again, my car feels amazing and I feel safe again.

I brought my Mustang there, thinking I needed new head gaskets...turns out I didn't!Anthony was great!He checked out everything in my car, discussed pricing with me before he did anything, and now my car is running like a new baby!I'll definitely be staying with them for all of my vehicle needs from now on!The girl who answers the phones could be a little friendlier, but other than that - top tier service!

I had a noise coming from my wheel that another mechanic was unable to diagnose after looking at it. I took my car to Ernie's for another opinion. They agreed that it was difficult to diagnose, but ultimately figured out and resolved the issue for a reasonable price. I would bring my car back for future work.

My car started to break down roughly half a mile away, and it was nearing closing time. Thankfully, after giving them a call and explaining my situation, they were able to take me in and replace my worn down ignition coil. They were very friendly, helpful, honest, and kind. They took me in, walked me through the process, and were very transparent about what they were seeing and doing as well as how much the repair was expected to cost. I just left Ernie s for a full service car wash and unfortunately my back window wiper was broken in the process. Anthony whom was the manager was very professional and quickly resolved the situation. Great customer service! Highly recommend them :)

Greg and everyone else at Ernie's garage are all terrific! I have been going to them for years ever since I moved into the area and they always do a great job at an affordable price. They always do a thorough check when you go for an oil change, and give their recommendations on what needs to be done immediately, and what can wait. They never pressure you or try to "sell" you things that you don't need. Would highly recommend them for any car issues you may be having!

Please don t go here.They changed the oil and washed my carAnd took $215 which you can do at any other location within $85 (max)They will give you unnecessary quote which will cost you more than $150.Trust me even if you take fully serviced car there and they will eventually come up with something and you will have to pay the amount.Also the lady who works at the front desk is very Rude.Service: Oil change

Ernie's is both affordable and honest. I had been going to my local dealership for repairs and it seemed every time I left with more problems and a lighter wallet. I found Ernie's through a CarMax recommendation after the Ford dealer quoted me an obscene price and said they would need my car for 3 days. Ernie's took my car in at the exact time I wanted and completed the work for half the price that Ford quoted, in addition to a free car wash. I will definitely return here if I need more work done.

I bring my car to Anthony for repair and will say the prices are usually fair and he stands by his work.I have had to take my car bk once after work but he absolutely stood by his work and did not charge more money to resolve the issue.The girl in the front desk isn't very polite and they don't awnser the phone alot but I do trust Anthonys work..

My dad goes to Ernie's garage often ...... he has a performance car that he will only have a mechanic (his name is Anthony) work on the car there.... My dad is very meticulous and everything including his car only gets the best!!! So when my dad said go to Ernie's Garage to get an oil change ....... I knew I was good hands! Customer service is great! Anthony the mechanic personally did the work on my car and took the time to look the car over for any possible issues ...... Hands down, you want your car professional serviced ...... Ernie's Garage is the place to go!

For many years I had been through different mechanics and then someone told me about Ernie. I will never go to another mechanic as long as Ernie is in business. I've had everything done from him in the last year from brakes, rotors, radiator and front and rear shocks. The prices are wonderful and the service is amazing.

I started coming here to get headlights installed, and I was impressed by the customer service. I came to realize that Anthony is a skilled mechanic I can trust with my older Mercedes. Lucas found a leak in the valve that was causing my tire to slowly lose air that no one could find before. Jonathan is the detailer who is always friendly and does an excellent job, as well. I am always given fair prices. They also give you a ride if needed. You don t need an appointment for oil changes, which include a car wash.

I was very hesitant at first since mechanics have such a bad reputation. However, I honestly felt my car was in good hands! The only reason why I m giving this company two stars is because I really appreciate the service that I got from Lucas. I went to the shop at 8am with an appointment on Saturday 7/27/2019 to have a break inspection.. Lucas was really nice and friendly, and he showed me everything that he found wrong with my car, cool! But the guy who actually did the work on my car was totally unprofessional, I forget his name. I let the people at the counter know that I was going to get my nails done, call me if anything.. Of course they had the wrong number because no one confirmed my contact information with me.. so I get back to the shop 2 hours later and nothing has been done to my car. So I had to wait another 2 hours for them to order the parts and do the service.. Once I get back to pay and get my car, of course the guy who did the work didn t have my write up done and he wasn t even there... so I had to wait for another 45 minutes!!! Instead of the mechanic apologizing for the 6 hour inconvenience, the man gives me my paper & sends me on my way, he didn t even have the respect to look me in my eyes!! So the stars are for Lucas, thank YOU for the great service... the other mechanic needs to learn professionalism.

I brought my 2009 Honda in for A/C repair. After about four hours they told me I needed a recharge. Two months after I got the recharge, my A/C started blowing out warm air again. I brought my car back and the tech looked at me as if I was crazy and did not know what I was talking about. I eventually got tired of them not helping and took it to a different mechanic where they informed me that they never recharged my A/C initially. I am extremely disappointed with the service I received here.Service: A/C installation & repair

I am a very picky person when it comes to cars (I own a Porsche) and quality of service. That said, Ernie's Garage is the pinnacle of automobile garage and I'm really not exaggerating. Allow me to prove it to you:Let me start by talking about the cleanliness of the shop and mechanics. The place is very Very clean and organized (and I'm personally OCD with this). Even when they have a lot going on the are able to keep everything neat and to me that already says a lot. The mechanics are a professional duo (I think I'll call them the Doctors) because they are amazingly good when it comes to diagnosing your vehicle problem even when its a hidden problem, and regardless of your vehicle make (combined they know everything). You really won't go wrong with any of them because at the end they collaborate really well in whatever case you bring, and the best part of it is that THEY ARE VERY HONEST.Honesty is everything when it comes to your car repair and believe me, transparency is included in the price. Prices are fair, maybe a little on the higher side but again... I can asure that you can trust their diagnosis and labor. Quick story: On my first Porsche repair I took it to 1) Porsche Dealer but prices where impossibly high and diagnosis/repair quote had too many parts and didn't make sense to me so I left. 2) Then I tried a 'Porsche Certified Garage' and prices where lower but still I felt something was off on the diagnosis list. I regret not taking my car to Ernie's in the first place, they knew what was the problem by my description even before seeing the car and their quote/list was just what my vehicle needed (nothing less, nothing more). Their price was way better and the job very reliable.I have brought in my two cars several (3-7) times (I also have a Toyota) for different tuneup/maintenance and motor (and electric) fixes. On both my cars I've been trusting my cars and left extremely satisfied. They fixed my cars before driving to Iowa and back, twice. Also, they can diagnose your car immediately, find the right parts for you and fix it within a reasonable time (very quick). On top of that all of the employees are very kind, respectful and full of joy. They are eager to help you no matter whats your situation. I even had the opportunity to meet the owner which was also very understanding and helpful. The manager has a great system in place, he's always present, very friendly and will also take good care of you.On a side note, this garage has a Car Wash/Detailing tunnel attached to it ('SpongeBrothers') which I also strongly recommend. I drive my cars through every week and they really treat you like a VIP. They have one of the best Car Detailer Celebrity I know of in CT, who uses the finest products on your car. Feel free to trust you car's paint to them.Over the past 2 years they've seem to keep finding ways to improve their service. They have uHauls for rent and before COVID-19 they even had complimentary coffee that I actually miss. Their bathroom is simple, spacious and very clean in my experience. The lounge/waiting room could use an update but in general it's always clean and feels ok (there is a massage chair if you're into that). I took my time to test their consistency on their excellent service and as a frequent costumer I can give faith of it. My only complain would be the use of a face mask, due to the current pandemic they started using it but I've noticed a lack of consistency with this manner. Still, they use gloves and seem to respect social distancing protocols.Lastly, If I where to have a business like this it would definitely be like Ernie's Garage specially for their great service and friendly employees. If you are skeptical of my 'super' positive review, don't take my word and please go prove it for yourself.

I absolutely love Ernie and his team! Ernie is so friendly and knowledgeable! He is able answer any questions I have. Kris always has a smile on her face! The oil changes are fast and efficient! I appreciate their service!

I took my car in due to it making noise when steering. It turns out the steering fluid pump had a leak. These guys were able to order the parts and replace it within the same day. They appeared honest in explaining the issue and showing me where the problem was. They were also willing to work with me to make it more affordable. If you like a genuine mechanic and a good service, this is your place to go.

I have worked with Ernie s garage in the past and have never been disappointed and this time was no different!! I had a custom performance brake pkg. (front and back wheels) installed on my car.... the mechanic (Anthony) did the all the work some of which was custom.... all I can say is AWESOME JOB!!

I recently got my lift kit done on my Jeep Wrangler here, and they did a great job. The manager Adam was very helpful responsive to me when I had question. They got me in a timely manner. The lead Macanic Anthony did a great job on the installation. He keeped me updated on the job and went above and made sure all my tires was balanced and the alignment was done. The receptionist was amazing as well , she gave me updates on my jeeps recalls. Overall a great professional and knowledgeable shop. I will definitely be back for future service as well as recommend ernies garage to my friends and family.

Ernie is the most honest reasonable mechanic in New Haven county! He has helped me at some of the hardest times dealing with my car! I go to Ernie for everything and I send all my friends to him! Thanks Ernie for always being great!

Good mechanics are hard to find which is why I take my BMW and my wife's Mercedes to Ernie's garage. They are professional, confident, and courteous. Being located on the Post Road in Orange and being opened weekdays and Saturday and Sunday makes it very convenient to take my car's there.I highly recommend Ernie's garage!
