From the routine to the seemingly impossible, Inline has done an amazing job every time! Brian and Brandon are extremely skilled, trustworthy, friendly and take the time to answer your questions and explain their work thoroughly. They maintain my 2012 X5 and keep it running better than new! Over the past year they have also set about repairing and mechanically restoring my 2003 330ci. They started with a post purchase inspection and developed a phased repair / restoration plan which we have been following. It has been a learning and rewarding experience witnessing Inline improve the operability, reliability and restoring the driving experience back to this car! You and your BMW will love going to Inline Autoworks!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. Brian is a kind person who loves cars, which is the perfect combination when you are looking for someone to help take care of your own car.

Excellent service. The most professional and well run shop I've ever dealt with. My BMW was handled quickly and efficiently. Every aspect of the repairs and the car itself was explained in detail. No question I had was too small for a thorough and well thought out explanation. This will be my shop of choice for the life of this vehicle. I cannot recommend Inline Autoworks enough.

Fit me in on short notice. Was 300 miles from home when my BMW X5 was misfiring. Fix was simple, a lose connection left over from a recent repair. They also identified a few other minor issues my local mechanic missed. They would be my go-to shop if they were closer to home. Very thorough, very customer friendly.Update: In September 2021 I was in the neighborhood again for a few weeks so I took the opportunity to have Inline check my X5 to correct issues they previously identified but postponed because I didn't have time to have them correct. After the repairs, it was, again, the "ultimate driving machine". The other shops never got it right. I plan on shipping my 325 ci from Florida to Connecticut just to have them service it. Despite the shipping costs I feel I will save money and be much more satisfied with the results. Once you have Inline do the work it is hard to allow anyone else to work on your BMW.

Great service -- both for the car and customer. I took my '96 3-series in for an oil change, having called on a Saturday to make an appointment, and Brian was able to accommodate me the same day. As part of the oil change service, Brian inspected my vehicle and was able to identify a couple issues that needed my attention (some more-so than others). We communicated via email to arrange a day for the most urgent repair to be done, and the service I received the second time I took my car was of no less quality. Brian (the owner) loves to work on BMWs and started his business to do just that, and his love of cars spills over to his care of his customers. Definitely recommend Inline Autoworks to anyone driving a BMW in the area who's looking for competent service; I suggest to call first and arrange an appointment.

Something unusual in the auto repair industry: Brian kept his word. Despite an unexpectedly heavy schedule in July, he made time to get my car fixed by the day I needed it. Brandon did a great job of diagnosing, explaining, getting the parts on time, doing the work and making sure I understood what had been done and how to manage issues in the future. I don't know whether Inline does BMW factory warranty work (I didn't ask) but this is a refreshing alternative to the dealer and I was happy to have brought them my business

These guys are amazing! Had a great review from a friend and I completely agree. I will tell everyone I know who owns a BMW or a Porsche to give them a call. Thank you Brandon and Brian for excellent service!

I decided to take my car here after getting a dealership inspection. Here my car received a very thorough evaluation that I knew I could trust. They even gave me a flashlight and physically showed me the problems, which was pretty cool. They helped me prioritize what work needed to be done asap and what could wait. It was especially helpful that they grouped individual jobs together for maximum labor overlap to save compared to dealer fixed prices. Brian and his mechanics are very knowledgeable and do high quality work. Also, got my car back fully detailed as a very nice finishing touch.

Brian and Inline Autoworks saved my life (literally)! I had been taking my BMW to Iinline Autoworks religiously since I bought it for service and maintenance. Brian from the very beginning let me know what parts were good, what I would need to replace, and what I would soon need to replace since my first BMW Service Inspection I with him. So there were never any surprises when there would be something going wrong or about to go wrong. So I wasn't surprised when I was having a problem with my front control arms. My only dilemma was that I had to go out of state for a wedding within the next couple of days and needed the repair done quickly. So going against my own intuition I took my vehicle to a franchised repair facility and had them do the control arms and the other required from suspension work as they could get it done within a few hours the following day. Since the work I had problems with the steering and loose handling of the car. As soon as possible I took the car down to Inline Autoworks and Brian discovered that the job was completely botched and I was very close to losing control of the steering and getting myself killed and possibly others. Long story short Brian helped every step of the way in getting this problem resolved with the other repair facility with advice and other help. I really can't say enough. I will never take my BMW to another repair shop, even a dealer. I can't imagine it being in better hands. From the time the car goes into his shop the first time for maintenance or a repair he knows everything that is worn on it and may need immediate service or need service soon. He's professional and does a great job from the get-go with genuine OE BMW parts (down to light bulbs and fluids). His prices are reasonable; much cheaper than the local dealership and I firmly believe I get a better job than I would at the dealership. I would advise anyone that if you have a BMW that is beyond its' free maintenance period that you should start going to Inline Autoworks. I've never had a better mechanic no matter what vehicle I've driven or what part of the country I've lived in. Anyone in Southeastern Connecticut is lucky because we are truly blessed with the best.

I hesitate to give them a review simply because I don t want them to get any busier :), but that would be a disservice to all the other BMW owners in our area. Brian, Brandon, Ruben, and everyone else at Inline is professional, honest, transparent, friendly, and more knowledgeable about BMWs than most dealers. They will tell you how to care for your car, what needs to be done now, what needs to be done soon, what can be done later, and what you might want to consider and may never do. We now have two BMWs, having sought one out to replace a second car because - as I keep telling everyone - I have a guy. We won t buy any other type of used car ever again as long as these guys are in business. Top notch. A++

This is the best auto repair experience I've ever had, and at my age, there's been many. Brandon explained what needed to be done, quoted a price and time frame and did the repair. Car now runs perfectlySounds like a simplistic explanation of what happened, but we all know it never goes like that.If you're looking for a great place to get quality work done on your car, THIS IS IT!

I had my 2003 BMW 325 in recently for a diagnostic lookover since it is up there in miles (125,000) and I want to make it last. Brian and Brendan took great care of me the whole time and were very thorough in their diagnosis of my car. When they were done I had a list of things my car would need done and a basic timeframe of when to do them.Brian and Brendan are very knowledgeable and will take their time with you and your vehicle. If you care about your car and want it to last you owe it to yourself to check them out.

I have been taking my 2011, 328xi to Inline for several years following a recommendation from a friend.. The owner, Brian, takes the time to explain the work being done and why it is necessary. He also prioritizes the work in terms of what needs to be taken care of now and what I need to keep in mind for a future date. Their documentation of my car has been meticulous, making it easy for them to view work and diagnostic history. A quote containing competitive pricing is always provided prior to work being done and Brian remains in close contact with me should any surprises arise. They have also accommodated my work schedule and provide space in their office for me to work while I wait for my car. It's not often one can say they trust their mechanic, but it's clear Brian operates his business with integrity and honesty. I would have no reservations recommending Inline to anyone.

I recently purchased a used E90 335xi from a BMW dealer expecting a mechanically sound car. I took the car to Inline Autoworks to create a baseline to assist in establishing future maintenance. A coworker recommended Brian at Inline Autoworks because of the excellent service he received during a post purchase inspection on his 530. Once Inline looked over my car they found a few issues; an oil leak, power steering fluid leak, and the notorious turbo rattle. Repairing all of the issues amounted to a large quote. Luckily my 335xi still had the used car warranty coverage so I brought it back to the dealer for service. Initially, the BMW dealer appeared reluctant to perform any of the repair work. BMW even told me the turbos normally exhibit the rattling noise and claimed they could not find the power steering fluid leak. I kept Brian at Inline informed about my progress with BMW and he coached me through the experience. He came off as genuine and went the extra mile explaining the issues to me so I could effectively communicate to BMW. Ultimately, BMW owned up to the issues by fixing the leaks and replaced the turbos with brand new ones.I intend to continue bringing my 335xi to Inline for future maintenance rather than the dealer because I can trust his assessments and that he has my interests in mind, not just the money. Additionally, I recommend having Inline inspect any used BMWs, even CPOs, you are interested in before you purchase one. I expected to have a clean car buying it from a franchised BMW dealer, but the only way to confirm the car is clean is by having a professional look it over. Having Inline look over my 335xi resulted in a great investment for the life of the car. Thanks.

I have taken my car here numerous times over the years, and have gotten nothing but incredible customer service. They are truly awesome at what they do and are highly skilled in everything BMW over at Inline. Anyone, from a purist, to your average driver would be very satisfied with the work they do here. * * * * *

I had a problem with my Z4 going into what looked like a partial transport mode (Blower only on low, no ac, all else seemed to work) afet trying to start with a weak battery. I thought the worst; possibly a problem with the blower or its control. I took it to Inline and met the owner, Brian. He suggested removing the battery connections, which I did overnight, but the problem returned. It turns out, he had also done some research after I left because the problem was unknown to him. I brought the car back and he diagnosed it as the heater/ac/ventillation module being in transport mode from the battery bounce and reset my modules, checked for no other problems, reset the clock and sent me on my way with only a 1 hour shop time charge. I am very impressed with his capabilities and honesty. I will definately bring my Z4 back for service and recommend other BMW owners in SECT to do the same.AJG.Update: November, 2020I just had my yearly service and I am thoroughly pleased with InLine.Brian and Brandon do a great job of checking over the car, as it does not get driven much particularly in the winter. If you have a Bimmer, go see these guys!AjGUpdate: October 2021My Z4 had a couple of problems. The water pump was quickly diagnosed but a strange ticking sound seemed like the AC compressor after chasing the noise with a stethoscope. Brandon tried a new pump, but to no avail. It turned out that it was the alternator. Brandon replaced the original compressor and recharged the system at no cost to me and replaced the alternator. The car runs like a top (again).I cannot say enough good things about this repair shop.AjG

After recently moving to SE Connecticut, I knew I would eventually have to start the process of finding someone good to work on my 530i. Thankfully I was fortunate to have come across Brian. After having had my car worked on at various shops, both dealership and indy, and in a couple of states; I can honestly say he truly is the person I have been searching for since I purchased my car 5 years ago. I called to make an appt with him for some routine maintenance as well as some other odds and ends that I needed looked at. He drove her and gave her a thorough check, then did something no other shop has ever done for me - he invited my fiance and I to come and look the car over on the lift and discuss areas of concern - complete with flashlight and hand held mirror. Brian was able to take her fairly quickly, kept in touch with me on the progress and plan and kept all the parts he had to change to show me what he had done. Including finding some pretty bad 'fixes' previous shops had done, parts that had been broken for who knows how long, etc. When I picked up the car, she drove like a dream, better than she ever has - I actually called to tell Brian from I-95 to tell how great she was performing!Overall, I am so impressed with his work and that he loves my car as much as I do. He truly lives to work on beautiful cars. I am grateful for his honesty, integrity, respect for me and my car, timeliness, quality and willingness to keep me informed, explain everything and teach me about my baby. Of course his reasonable pricing is always nice too! I have already made my next appt for some cosmetic work I want done. Thanks again Brian, you have re-established my faith that there are excellent mechanics out there!

I brought my 2000 540is to Brian at a real crossroads with the car. Having owned several BMW's over the past 30 years including a '71 3.0CS, a '74 2002 tii and a '77 320i I knew how fickle aging BMW's can be and how difficult it was to find and trust a mechanic to service these cars properly - but this was the best car I've ever owned and I was determined to return it to top form and drive it for many years to come. Brian picked up on this right away and without hesitation offered to take the car for a couple weeks to go through it and then give me his honest evaluation - right away you could tell his level of knowledge, enthusiasm and ability to relate to drivers was unparalleled - and he, Brandon and Rueben backed it up with exceptional customer service and outstanding work. I spent a considerable amount of money getting the car back into top form (but probably half of dealer prices) and the results truly exceeded expectations. The car is more responsive in every respect. In fact, I'd challenge anyone to find a 540is that runs better than this one. Thank you Brian and Inline for a great experience and for putting me back in the driver's seat of one of the best and most fun cars BMW has ever made.

I take my 2003 330i to Brian at inline for all of its non-warranty maintenance and some performance mods. He does great work, very thorough and is much better to deal with than the dealer was. He also fixed my rattling VANOS unit that nobody else could figure out. Definitely check out this shop if you're into European performance cars.

Great service place. More trustworthy than the dealer (from experience). They will talk to you about what is going on. Talk to you about their love of bmws. Talk to you you about your options on what is the right move for your car. And they will keep you're car running forever of you want it.

Very thorough, listen to the customer and explain everything. Yes it's expensive but BMW's are not Ford or Dodge very computer oriented. You want to drive a machine like this then pay for the experience. I've been a ASE mechanic for 40 years I need Inline Auto.

For those with an unnatural love for their BMW, this is your garage. You won't meet people more knowledgeable or enthusiastic about BMWs than Brian and Brandon. I'd give them 6 stars if I could!

Very thorough, informative at every step, personable, knowledgeable. They love BMW's and know them well. Still pricey but not a dealership rip.

Brandon is the best in Connecticut, believe me, I wasted tons of money on BMW dealers such as New London, Hartford. Shame on them! They are greedy but unable to fix anything except replacing broken hoses and cleaning wheels..
