I went to NCCC today for an oil change and to check my brakes. Upon entering, I asked approximately how long the wait would be because I had my toddler with me (and we had an appointment that afternoon). I could always come back another time. The receptionists were very nice - one went in back to ask and came back saying "you're in luck, he said 20-25 minutes, maybe less." I waited with my son for an hour and my car never moved from the parking lot, so I had to leave. When I asked for my keys I was told that the technicians were on break and would be back in about 10 minutes. I understand that they were likely busy, but I wish they would've told me or realized this sooner, rather than assume I'd be able to wait for 1.5-2 hours after specifically asking about time and being told 20-25 minutes. That being said, one receptionist allowed my son to pick out a toy car which was really sweet. I also watched many people come and go for emissions testing, and the man helping them was very fast and personable.

To start off everyone who needs car work should get it done at Newtown Car Care! The front desk woman Stacy helped me so much and squeezed my car in right before thanksgiving so I wouldn t damage my car more waiting for an appointment. The service I received there was absolutely amazing! Everyone there is knowledgeable and kind and are more than happy to answer all your questions and help you anyway they can. Not to mention the work I had done to replace my radiator was done extremely fast and the price was substantially lower than everywhere else I called. They gave me an estimate and the bill wasn t a penny more than they estimated it to be. I can t say enough good things about Newtown Car Care. It s nice to know there still are good honest places to have your car fixed especially in such expensive times. Thank you everyone at Newtown Car Care for the great experience!!!! 10/10 I would absolutely recommend them to everyone!!!

First time using Newtown Car Care Center and will not be the last. They were super transparent and communicated with me during my repair and saved me a TON of money on the same repair the dealership wanted almost $2600 for! Thank you!! So glad to have my car running safely again.

My family and I have been going to Newtown Car Care for over two decades. My sister and I have moved out of state, and we still only bring our vehicles here. There is no better place to have your car serviced or to find honest mechanics who will work with you every step of the way.

Brought my car here because my former mechanic was suggesting repairs for things that didn't need repairs, Newtown Car Car Center confirmed this suspicion. I recently brought my car in for regular maintenance, prices were very close to what they estimated it would be. They recommended new front brakes which I agreed to. When I got the car back it had a spongy brake pedal but it was resolved after bringing it back at no extra charge. -1 star for having to bring it back in the first place, I would give +.5 stars for fixing it with no questions asked but google won't let me. I'll continue to bring mine and will be bringing my wife's car here for future maintenance too after my experiences here.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Brakes

New to town and we have had excellent experiences at Newtown Car Care Center each time we have gone. They get us in and out as quickly as possible and are always aware and cognizant of budget and quality when presenting parts options. Their great communication and service will keep us coming back for all our automotive needs!

Me and my coworkers have been coming here for years. Wether its for oil changes, emissions tests, tires, you name it they can fix it. Johnny and his team of employees always seem to go the extra mile to make sure his customers are more then happy. We found these folks when we experienced transmission trouble while on our way from DC to Maine. We called to see if they could address the issue and found that they were already very busy but they offered to run a diagnostic. Every single person we encountered there was friendly, helpful and kind. They took time when they were already super busy and pointed us in the direction of a place that could help. What could have been a nightmare turned into a terrific experience! What a gem!

I came to get my emissions done. Paid my $20 car went right in, then 5 minutes later the gentleman hands me my $20 and my keys and says it won't start. He had to have 2 guys help him push it out of the garage. So I was left in the middle of the parking lot of a garage with a car that won't start. It wasn't getting fuel so I dropped the gas tank in the parking lot after pushed it into a spot myself. He then came out and said I was a liability, to get it put back together in a half hour. I'll never recommend or go there again. I will mention that I was at 3 other emissions places that had no parking, not because my 1999 Dodge Neon. The owner did not ask me if I wanted assistance, which would have made me, the customer, more happy with their service. For a garage that doesn't know what year my car is, sure is quick to come back and make himself look better.

These guys are great. I wanted a second opinion on an issue with my truck and these guys didn't try to sell me something I didn't need. They identified the issue and said it can wait. They will inspect it each oil change and let me know when it's time. It's not every mechanic that doesn't try to sell you a repair right away!

First time there,went for emissions test. The office and techs were efficient and nice. It was the fastest I ve gotten my emissions tested. They work on Porsches to Hondas to Hyundais. Their facility and staff was better than Mercedes. I was very impressed and I am getting all my cars serviced there now.Service: Auto emissions testingService: Auto emissions testing

Horrible experience as a young female. I spoke to the front desk and a mechanic on the phone about the hypothetical cost estimate for brake work (pads, rotors, etc) and told them to do whatever they believed needed to be done. Dropped my Subaru off @ 7:30 am and emphasized how much I d appreciate it being done sooner rather than later, as I work in Newtown and live an hour away. Spoke to someone on the phone that afternoon and they claimed my brakes were fine. That evening (4pm) I arrive to pickup my car, but they had taken it for a test drive after doing absolutely nothing to it. I ask for them to call the driver and return my car so I can leave. Well I don t know who has it well can we find that information out?! After mechanic returns with my car from test drive AND having it all day, your rotors are rusted and warped . Went to settle any bill they felt they needed to charge me, and was verbally thankful when they said there was no charge today. But was left with a derogatory Run along now walking out the door. Very disappointed with the attitude and overall experience. Will never be returning.

Awesome shop, staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They did my emissions test in a matter of 10 minutes and you can literally watch them test your car on the tv monitor in the waiting area, very cool. Highly recommended!Service: Vehicle InspectionService: Vehicle Inspection

This was my first visit and a complete waste of time . I came in at 11am today requesting a new battery for my Subaru. . They told me to come back at 1 pm as they needed to order the battery. I returned at 1pm and sat there for an hour and a half and was then informed that the battery was never delivered. So I wasted the entire day. To add insult to injury they changed my oil and charged me over $ 87. 00..!! The place came highly recommended. I was shocked at how bad and unreliable this place is. I will never return. Newtown Car Care Center really helped me out in a pinch! I ran over a large nail on the highway and I stopped in to see if they were able to patch it up. The woman at the counter was super friendly dsly and they were able to squeeze me in. I waited in their cozy warm lobby and was back on the road in no time for an affordable cost too. I promised a few weeks ago that I'd write a review and I hadn't really had the chance until right now. I went in for a routine emissions test, it was my first time there. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by friendly faces. In typical car care centers I've been to, the people seem miserable to be there and make it seem an inconvenience to serve us.. Not this place. I was greeted by 3 different people who were extremely friendly. I was then astonished at the waiting area. I can tell they've been sanitizing, so I can tell they've been paying attention to the recent COVID situation. Everything was just so.... clean. I don't even think it smelled like a typical car care facility either, normally you have the smell of tires or oil. It seems they really take care of their place. If that wasn't enough, the waiting area had the most comfortable couch I've ever sat on. It is actually making me think that I may want leather couches in my home. The waiting area was also very welcoming and had a home feel to it. I was only in there for maybe 7 or 8 minutes while they did my emissions and still focused on other customers so that they weren't waiting. When my car was done, the owner parked it in the front with the key in the ignition so that I can just pull away and asked me how everything went. He was extremely nice. I highly recommend using this facility for all your car needs :)Service: Auto emissions testing

Newtown Car Care is the most professional auto repair shop I ve ever been to. Seriously. The place is clean, friendly and above all else professional. Johnny has helped me many times and goes out of his way for customers. Front desk staff was very friendly and I worked with Carl to get tires for my 2008 VW GTI which has a slightly unusual tire. They were able to get tires the next day and got me in with their busy schedule to put them on. They were quick! They did a great job! I had a great experience here! Highly recommended.

Serviced my car here 3 times! First time I would rate a 5! 2nd time a 3.5 and my 3rd time a 0!!! Brought my car last week here! The guy says we don t know what s wrong with your car !? Dude your a mechanic like wth! How the hell do you not know what s wrong with my car? Are you a mechanic or not!? But the first 2 times you did know what s wrong with my car?Poor service! I thought I would use this place for all my car repairs and recommend my friends but no way.Don t bring your car here. Went to bring my car to get service, alignment, and emissions. The service went good and finished very quickly when I brought it in the morning.The alignment though was not done properly at all, and I got the car back even worse than before. When I first brought it in the steering wheel was slightly tilted to the left by a couple mm, when I got it back it was pointing to the 10 o clock position just to go straight. The paper given to me showed it s before/after, and it was very obviously worse than when I brought it in. I brought it back to show the front desk and they saw exactly what I meant, and let me have it redone for free, but it was only slightly better than before, and still wasn t aligned right, very disappointed.The emissions was very good though, the mechanic (who I think was named Dave or Dan or something) doing it was very friendly and talked to me about other things that might be wrong with, which was very helpful! I would give 5 stars, but because of the alignment, I am giving 3Services: Wheel alignment, Auto emissions testing, Auto maintenance

Such a wonderful experience. I wanted to bring my car in for a repair and was told that the earliest appointment they had was a week away. They were still willing to have me come in the next day to check that the noises I was hearing wasn't anything hazardous.I brought the car in and, despite it being a very busy day at the shop, they came out and checked my car in less than 5 minutes. Within 20 minutes of showing up I was out the door. They were even willing to put the car on the lift to give me peace of mind.It's no wonder this place is so highly recommended by everyone I know.Services: Exhaust, General repairs & maintenance
