I had a very good experience with the Advanced auto parts store in New London Connecticut. I had only nine minutes to purchase a battery charger before AutoZone closed. I went to the store and an employee locked the door as she saw me approaching the door. She walked away and would not Even look at me as I knocked on the door. Knowing that I did not have much time, I drove quickly to the Advanced Auto Parts Store that was nearby. The store employee happily greeted me. He said that his registers would shut down in two minutes at 9 PM. I grabbed a battery charger and he quickly rang it up for me. He was so polite and helpful with such a short amount of time to make my choice of charger. I now shop at Advanced Auto and no longer go to the AutoZone that I have been going to for years.

Last 3 times I went in this store including today, they blatantly get you to buy the most expensive option for the product/part you are looking for. Today it was antifreeze, the sales associate asked me make/model/year of my vehicle. He was trying to hand me the $27 option when went to grab the $14 option. He was disappointed and when I was cashing out, he said to another employee first time it didn t work today BE WARE.

I picked up some windshield wiper blade replacements and went to change my blades in the parking lot it did not go great, since I ve never done it before. Elvin, who had given me my order in the store, saw me struggling and came to help! He was very patient and kind, and it absolutely made my day.

I left this store in tears. I walked in and needed assistance finding a light for my car. The associate asked me if I knew what the connector looked like and I said I do not and I was wondering if he could look it up on his computer to help. He told me he wasn't a mechanic and that I needed to "chill" I was honestly confused by what he just said and asked for a manager. The manager comes up and I told him I don't want to speak to the associate because he made me feel uncomfortable and the manager said he's not going anywhere and we are NOT mechanicsAnd I asked why I was being treated so poorly. I just needed help finding my light to my car. The manager raised his voice so loud at me I began to tear up and the associate said " oh look it's crocodile tears" the I asked if I could just get the help so I could leave the store and the manager yelled and said " I'm human and you're acting crazy right now" he told me to leave his store and I left balling my eyes out. My mother had to go in for me to purchase what I needed. She found the light on her own and left the store. I can't believe what happened to me and I'm never going back to that store. I am in shock and none of what I just went through was at all needed. This happened at 12/14/21 @ 20:30 . New London CT The associate name I believe was tiyrel j not sure managers name but I will never go back with treatment like that

Friendly, knowledgeable staff. They've got pickup in store, which is convenient. Order online, with whatever promo codes you can find, and in half an hour you can pick up from the store. Neat.Store itself is clean, and smells like an auto parts store. Which... Shouldn't be surprising. It's not a bakery.Staff are quick to give you pointers if you're lost. They'll help you in the parking lot too, if you need your codes scanned, or easy stuff put on like the wipers you just bought.

So where do I begin, I had to wait til today Tuesday the 27th of sept to write this review do to the horrible horrible experience anger and anxiety i had at this advanced auto on sat sept 24th, this female manager was atrocious at customer service, i ordered a alternator for my vehicle online at the beginning of last week, come to find out my motor was actually blown on my car so i had no need for said alternator I never even opened the package it was shipped in from the factory my finger prints wernt even on it anywhere, so saturday sept 24th i brought it back to the store at 594 coleman street new london ct as i approached the counter an associate began to help me and said we have to wait for manager to get off phone to help, i said ok no problem out of know where she leans in and says we dont take alternators back, nowhere does it specifically say alternator on the non refundable items it generalizes electrical, however it does say that an associate can override policy and complete a refund especially the item was able to be put back on shelf to be sold as i said never opened original packaging, this horrible manager did not want to know anything she was not gonna let me return it, she stood behind that counter like she was judge and jury like she had the power to say nope not taking back, now we are talking about 327.00, i jad a heart attack a month ago im trying to get back on my feet then my car brakes i had no extra money i needed that 327.00 back to put towards rent which my landlord was kind enough to extend my due date, and this woman wasnt gonna help she did not even care, people dont know peoples stories how dare she stand behind that counter passing judgement on me i even asked if we can do a gift card or something she told me no, i left that store with my blood pressure thru roof shaking having anxiety, think how can someone have no heart to help another human being, thank goodness I called customer service and was able to get a refund on item, they sent me to another store so I didn t have to face this non customer service woman , I will never set foot in this store again, so sad, so little humanity and compassion

The individual that served me today proved more than competent. She was informative, and personable, placed me right at ease. Making me comfortable enough to ask the questions i would have other wise felt a bit inadequate asking someone else. She not only talked me through it , she walked me through it, so that the entire exchange would make sense. I have only praise to offer of this representative. So in closing, hats off to her, and to you as well her employer, for having the foresight enough to realize the asset she would prove herself to be.

Seems like more interested in quickly finishing the sale than offering information or advice or other products. Used to be good place but last few times have not been good at all. Recommended O'Reilly Auto Parts.

I went in To grab a new rotor for my 2012 RAV4 The person at the counter gave me a rotor that didn t fit my car. I asked him why He gave me the wrong part he said it was the right rotor my old rotors shrank that s why the new rotor is bigger. So I went to O Reilly auto parts he got the correct rotor.

Came into the store to get my alternator checked with the gauge, and there was nobody else in the store except the one employee. He said because he was in the store by himself and there was only 1 other employee in the back he did not want to leave the counter to to perform the test mind you I am the only customer in the store.Well, if there was one employee in back amd one at the counter, then he should have done his job right?

Went in for a battery for my car and the guy worker looked uninterested in helping me. He asked me what size engine I had and I couldn't remember so I went outside to check, couldn't find where the information was for my engine so it took me a while but the worker never came out to see if I needed any help. So I started browsing and found a place that was more of a reasonable price so I left.

Part finder selected the wrong rotors, and the pads were missing the hardware kit. In-store staff sorted everything out quickly and professionally. Great work!

Went in here to buy air filters. First there is no parts book for customer to use you have to ask for a book. Second the price was 10 percent higher than the local dealership. Guess where I bought my air filters!

Price on the shelf is different than what you are actually charged at the counter. Price was $27.99 on the shelf, go to pay it's $29.99... Last time I will ever shop there.

I went to the store my car light would not go out the young Puerto Rican man help me I was very nervous I did not know what to do he got my lights to go off thank you in advance auto parts you guys go above and beyond I appreciate that I owe him a dinner at my job and I will buy it for him thanks again mr. Puerto Rican man

Always helpful, knowledgeable, and will order anything you need. I will always recommend AAP over AZ for a multitude pic reasons. Qualify parts and service are the main reasons to patronize AAP.

You wait forever, they have one person working others in the back bullshiting, a different story every single time you have a problem, only a few of them are good and knowledgeable enough, but most are always nice just could clean it up more.
