Great mechanic shop with fair prices, professional staff, and high quality service. I used Tony's several times for repairs and each issue that they worked on was thoroughly addressed, with no problems reappearing once the work was complete. I also appreciated the helpful explanations from the mechanics after each job, as it gave a non-car savvy person like myself a clear idea as to what was going on under the hood

I live in New York.. my daughter goes to college in the new haven area... she called me saying her car isn't starting.. I was so stressed how I was gona find a good mechanic.I went on Google and found Tony's.I called Tony to get a quote for a new starter... within 10mins they had a quote, which was very fair.They had her car up and running within a couple of hours. I was extremely happy and greatful for them. They even offered to stay late until my daughter could pick up her car.

I can't say enough wonderful things about Tony's Auto Services! They made my trip quick, easy and seamless. Prices were much more reasonable than other larger shops in the area. Most important the staff is incredibly warm and kind, and made me feel right at home even though I had never come in before. I am so glad I found them and will definitely be going back!

Went to Tony s because someone backed into my car. They handled everything the repairs, dealing with the insurance company, the rental car. Was such a relief. They did a great job and the customer service was top notch. I went to Tony's to get my car's a/c repaired. The mechanic emptied the freon and oil. He said that everything was okay. They ripped me off, charging me 150 dollars. The freon added was .20 instead of 5.1. They never fixed my a/c and stole my freon. Go to Meineke of Branford. At least they are honest there.

I realized one of my tires was flat a few hours before I was supposed to leave town. I had never been here before, but they were able to fix me up super quickly for a very reasonable price. Everyone I encountered in the shop, from the lady behind the counter to the owner to the mechanic who actually found the enormous bolt in my tire and put on a new one, was notably friendly and helpful. I was new to the area and had a transmission issue which needed immediate attention. I asked friends who knew New Haven for recommendations and was directed to Tony's Auto Service. I called and was asked what time worked for me and made an appointment. They did not charge me anything to evaluate my car and determine what was needed. The work was completed on time and the estimate was within 10% of the final bill. They even took care of taking me home when I initially dropped off the car. I am not sure what more you could ask for from an auto repair shop. If needed they will certainly have my business again.Service: Transmission

Let my car get stolen and then when we got it back he refused to work with me and the car. They re scum bags don t go there

Just picked my Honda CRV up from an oil change and a repair. The folks at Tony's Auto have always been kind, thorough, and incredibly fair with pricing. As someone who sometimes feels vulnerable to ripoffs, I can be hypervigilant about getting repairs done on my car. At Tony's, they have shown multiple times that they are fair, upfront, and do a damn good job. I feel good about taking my car there. Thanks!

They were very professional, they changed my tires, got new ones, and an alignment under $500.They only thing I didn't like is they got the wrong size tires, blamed me for giving them the wrong size when I had stopped in there a week before and two of them looked at the car themselves.Anyways, it should of takes an hour to a half, they had it the whole dayI'd wish they contacted me to let me know about the wrong size and there would be a delay.But they were good and the tires are great!!.Since time as passed, I sent my son there for tires. He had a deal in Bridgeport but was putting it off bc he didn't deal like driving there.That's when George asked about the car, looked it up and told him he could match it.What I liked about that was my son wasn't askedTo provide any prices.My son now has nice tires .And I feel much better he's driving safely.I really like those folks, and they take the time to get to know you.Super customer service.!

I had a great experience with them. I had brought my car to a nearby mechanic that wanted to charge me 900 dollars for a part that wouldn't have fixed the problem. I came to them for a second opinion, and they fixed the issue for 300 dollars. I'll be coming back to them soon for some more repairs I have been putting off, since they handled my previous problem so well.Service: General repairs & maintenance

George and Tony have taken care of my battery, my oil, my headlights, and my brakes so far. They re always super friendly and straightforward I ve never been given the run-around here. They work really quickly, have fit me in on short notice a couple times, and their prices are fair. I wouldn t take my car anywhere except Tony s.

I took my car here twice this week on a friend's recommendation and I couldn't be happier! The owner, George, and service writer, Carla, are wonderful and respectful people who I'm happy to have as resources in the area.The first time I took my car here, it wasn't holding its temperature well and I was afraid there was a coolant leak. After an hour of tests, my issue was diagnosed as an air bubble within the system, and I was charged only for the coolant added, no labor.The second time I took my car in, I was getting bearing noise investigated. I dropped my car off Wednesday afternoon and Carla drove me in a shop vehicle to my next destination. When my car was done, Carla came and got me at my house. Speaking with George at the shop, he told me one of my wheel bearings had slipped out of its sleeve, so I just had to pay labor for the (relatively quick) fix.I highly recommend Tony's for honest work done at a fair price!

These guys are the best! They jumped my dead car, then replaced the battery and filled my tires all within about 30 minutes! The rates are good and the staff are very friendly. This is where I'll go for future car needs.Services: Tires, BatteryServices: Tires, Battery

Tony's is incredible. They are very knowledgable, have fair prices, work really fast, and they are true mechanics (able and willing to come up with clever, cheeper, macgyver-esque solutions if you are on a budget). They have squeezed me into their schedule for emergency tire patching and been very honest about when repairs were really necessary. This is not a garage trying to make a buck and take advantage of people. I highly recommned them!

George is the very best. He helped my family with an out of state car delivery, received it at his shop, took care of any issues in a timely manner, and helped to expedite getting it on the road. Kept us up-to-date on everything through phone calls to Arizona where we live.

George is the best! He is honest, very fair, knows his craft and is very accommodating of your schedule. I have a 1999 Lexus which I inherited from my father when he passed-on so I want to keep it as long as possible for sentimental reasons. George helps me keep it in good running condition. I have no reservations at all recommending George, he is a real professional.7/11/2017 UPDATE: George came through again! Brought my car for an oil change and had him check why I was having problems starting the car. Problem was due to a bad battery terminal which he replaced, but while doing the fluid changes he discovered power steering pressure hose system needed to be replaced. Fixed the car in a timely manner and showed me the pulvarized hoses that he replaced. NOTE: when he gives you an estimate keep in mind that it does not include taxes. I was surprised that my bill was a tad higher than I expected, but it was MY bad since his quote did not include taxes. George was very gracious about it. Another 5 star review for George and his crew.

My partner just got her AC fixed on her 20yr old Honda. George the man we dealt with there is a miracle worker solving a problem past mechanics have failed for years to diagnose let alone fix. They were incredibly generous about the bill, going above and beyond. We highly recommend them and will be back.

Just had my tires changed for winter ones there. They did a great job and they really know what team work means. I had multiple people working at the same time on my car. That reduced the time I spent there quite a lot.

I have gone to many shops in New Haven and I was not having a y luck dealing with an honest and fair shop until I found Tony's, I bring every vehicle my family own here. They are friendly, efficient and honest.

AMAZING!! Fast, efficient, great price! George was such a nice, friendly, knowledgeable man. Super helpful, recommended only things needed to be done but no pressure to do the work. Highly recommend!

Got a "flat" tire yesterday with plans to move across the country today... The mechanic at Tony's saved our aases when he checked the tire and found nothing wrong with the "flat" tire. He installed the tire and then checked the car's computer system to see if there was anything wrong with the sensors. Finally the problem was discovered as a malfunctioning sensor. After discovering the issue he gave us advice on what to do next ANNNNND here's the big thing.... Didn't ask for a dime!! Of course, we paid him anyways but dang what a class act. Took care of our issue, went above and beyond, and didn't ask for any money in return

I will only ever bring my car to these guys! It was a rough couple of weeks getting my car back and they where amazing. I highly recommend bringing your car here.
