I ve been working with Bill now for 5 years when I need work on my 79 Gladiator. He s one of the best if not THE best in Connecticut if you need work on older American models, especially Jeeps.There are not many reliable mechanics that know these older models, patience is key! If you own an old car you should already know that. A job done proper is better than a job done quickly with low quality, or not done at all. Slow and steady wins the race.In 2017 I blew the engine on her and a few months later (in time for the good weather) she was ready to go. Since that first job I ve used SVE countless times, including today. Bill at SVE is the best Jeep mechanic I have ever met. He can diagnose and answer any problem/question you have, and his prices are incredibly fair. On multiple occasions, he charged me less in labor than he needed to, and his philosophy is "if it ain't broke, don't fix it!", so he will never recommend repairs that aren't needed. Trust me, if you ever need anything done to your Jeep, Bill at SVE is THE SHOP you should take it to. I am so thankful to have found such a skilled jeep specialist! I have been taking my Jeep XJ to Bill for 6+ years for everything from oil changes to a new heater core and a cylinder head replacement. He s fair and honest. That combined with being a small shop means he books up well in advance. Do yourself a favor, make and appointment even if you don t need it yet. Rest assured, something will need attention on your Jeep by the time your day comes around!

I've been taking my Jeeps to Bill for years and don't trust anyone else. He tells it like it is, doesn't try to upsell and has always done a great job no matter how small. If you want your Jeep taken care of the right way SVE is the only place to go.

I found this outfit online and could not have been happier with the outcome of the repair. My 2002 Jeep TJ was in desperate need of a frame cap job due to some rust issues that are common in this New England weather. Less than two weeks later, Bill called me and told me my vehicle was completed. My goodness was the work done impeccably and for a fair price. Now, the safety of my passengers and myself is never a question and I will have this vehicle for years to come! Thanks again Bill!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

Bill is the best Jeep mechanic this side of the Rocky Mountains. Still the best for routine Jeep maintenance, up to major repairs and custom work. Especially if you have an older Jeep. Bill knows them all.

Knowledgeable, honest, quick and straight forward. No hidden fees. Several issues with my Jeep fixed or help resolve all in 2 days. Worth the wait totally worth the wait. I found my Jeep guru or mechanic

Disappointed. Dropped my Jeep off and it sat for 3 months! I finally picked it up without getting the work done. If he was that busy he should have never told me to drop it off. I had hopes for this place because of the reviews but sadly I drove away very disappointed. To top it off, I got home and my license plate was missing. ( I had to report it stolen.) I do not recommend this place.

This is the only place to bring a Jeep new or old. Bill will always take great care of customers and his opinions are based in mechanical fact.

I went to this shop to get my 2005 jeep wrangler fix and they are really good at diagnosing. This is the wright place to go if you own a wrangler I recommend
