First off great, efficient customer service with great results. But also, when I picked up my car, they gave me a gift bag! With a handwritten card, candle, hand cream, and leprechaun chocolate!! Also, they were just really nice. I don t want to take my business anywhere else!(And YES TO BE CLEAR my car s running perfectly)

I booked online with no issues. The communication was great. The staff treated me professionally and took my car on time as promised. The service was excellent and even provided me with the thank you goodbye gift. Unexpected yet appreciated. Would definitely come back and recommend East Rock Auto Repair.

My car stopped running suddenly while we were visiting family in New Haven. East Rock Auto Repair worked us in to their schedule and completed not only the most urgently needed repairs, but also addressed some issues that would have to have been fixed when we returned home to Virginia. I wish I had such a good shop near me at home!

Amazing staff,friendly, quick, thorough, professional...from making the appointment with the girls in the front, to the great mechanics working on your car, to checking in on you after work was completed!you're not just another customer here,they actually listen to you and make sure you get back on the road fast and safely! Not going anywhere else anymore after the great experience I had!

Very professionally run when you drop your car off. They take the time to explain what they're gonna do. Before they do anywhere, they send you a detailed report with pictures. I think they're very honest. And I will continue to go to them as long as I own a car. Please call dad

I brought my Crosstrek to East Rock Auto to replace one of the rear wheel bearings. When I called, the office staff was very helpful to schedule an appointment the following week. I dropped my car in the morning and received a repair estimate text within a couple of hours. They did a courtesy inspection and sent me a list of items requiring my attention. They won t start any work unless the customer approves it via text or phone. Everything went very smoothly. Their price for replacing a wheel bearing was fair. I ll definitely do business with them again and have my rear break pads replaced next.

Have been here before and was very satisfied. The quality of work is phenomenal. The front desk staff is very kind and helpful. Good availability to get your car in.I came back for more car work recently and again was very happy with the work and service that was provided.I love that they do an evaluation and call you but also send a link with photos and the mechanics notes to accept or decline what work is recommend. Work needing to be done is also ranked from minor to urgent if you re working in a budget.And once more I just want to say the quality of the work here is phenomenal.I ll definitely be back again.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto engine diagnostic, Vehicle Inspection

I was impressed by their process to diagnose my vehicle. They were very transparent and used the latest technology (video, text, online repair authorization). This is especially good for none car people! Their communication and turn around time translates to value for me as customer. I love this place. I have a 2012 mini that I bought used a few years ago and the good people at East Rock Auto Repair keep her running smoothly--regular oil changes and tune ups and fixing what needs fixed with minimal fuss and a clear break down of pricing. They are top notch at customer service and the entire experience is so friendly, straightforward, and professional--in particular I appreciate their clear and prompt communication.

Technicians at East Rock did an oil change, rotated tires, an overall inspection, found a few issues and repaired them.I got their name from AAA and will be using them going forward. After their review and repairs, my car is running better and smoother.I am pleased I found this auto repair shop. Every time I visit I'm greeted by friendly, communicative staff who take the time to go over what work is needed and what it would cost to complete. The estimate process is straightforward and easy to understand, and I feel like I've learned more about taking care of my car from bringing it to ERA. They replaced my AC compressor in 2 days time for a competitive price and I ve had no issues since. But the main distinction at East Rock Auto is the customer service, I picked up my car with a hand written thank you note and complimentary air fresheners present on my passenger seat. The staff texts you periodically to make sure your car is doing well. No automated answering machine, you call and speak to a person. Overall a very refreshing auto maintenance experience from both a technical and personal perspective. I recommend.

I am so grateful for East Rock Auto Repair! I had been up in the snow in my little Honda Civic and the heat shield came loose.They were able to fit me in last-minute on a Friday afternoon, did the repair and an inspection. They also flushed/replaced my transmission fluid, as the cap and dipstick were missing. I really like their system where they text you a link to an invoice/estimates of any issues with your car and then you can approve or deny them. The space was clean and everyone was very friendly. I have a 2018 Toyota Camry. I have been taking my previous car and my current car to Joe, from the Car ER, whi recently retired. He recommended East Rock Auto and they have become my new favorite mechanics. They are thorough and extremely friendly. The best part is that so far their prices are not over the top!!! Although I really do miss Joe the East Rock Auto is the next best place. Try them and you will definitely be satisfied!!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto detailing

I recently moved to New Haven,CT and needed to find a new mechanic. After searching through reviews I found East Rock Auto repair and was happy to see that they responded to all of their reviews as this is important to me. They got my car in the same day I called and gave me a fast and efficient estimate for the repairs needed. They made sure to keep me informed of how my car was doing and if I needed anything else. I continue to trust my car inspection and maintenance to the team at East Rock Auto.Each time I leave my car there, they do a thorough inspection and take high definition pictures of any problems they find AND explain what I'm looking at. The shop sends an alert and calls when they're ready my input. If i see the alert before they call, I can simply use the link in the alert to choose which services i want to approve or decline. The process to straightforward and very professional. The pictures and videos also help to provide transparency, which helps to show they are not trying to make things up or be dishonest. That helps me be more trusting of them because they designed their process to support being honest. I have not been disappointed by them yet. And their prices are at fair market value and they sometimes given a discount for repeat customers (I've taken 3 vehicles to them to date). They seem to always be busy. On my last visit, they didn't have a slot for my and would likely get to it the next day. I dropped of my vehicle anyways and they were able to get it done that day! They can do quick turnarounds when possible. They don't slow-walk you on purpose.I'm very pleased with this shop.

Best auto service I ve ever had! They scheduled me for the next day, we re very friendly, and had an awesome system for repairs: I got a text with a link that listed all of the needed repairs with descriptions and prices, then a manager called to talk me through questions and help me prioritize, I could check accept or deny on each repair and then see my total. It was done earlier than expected and I felt like they were so helpful and honest talking me through what was necessary for safety and what could wait. I had a great experience here with a fast turnaround. After I dropped off my Jeep at East Rock Auto, I received a text message later that same morning with a link to a full inspection report and the option to approve or deny an itemized list of jobs to be done on my vehicle. It was all very straightforward and while labor costs are always expensive anywhere you go, and a pain in the butt, I appreciated the convenience and professionalism during this process. Would definitely recommend this shop. Do NOT use this business. The owner was out driving my car for maintenance issue. While on the road he was rear ended. He has the option to let me use his policy while we get the police report and he refused to let me use his policy. Now I am out of luck and need to wait for the police report for what can be about 2 weeks. He basically cleaned his hands off and said not his problem. He tried to give me a loaner in the meantime, which had all the lights on, on the dash (not reliable) and so nasty inside. Why should I have to use my own insurance company when I was not even involved in the accident? This is poor customer service and I will make sure to never use this place again!Services: Auto emissions testing, Auto maintenance

East Rock Auto is fantastic! They're honest and fair. Most recently, they recommended I wait to replace some parts in my A/C system since it was fall, I'd only need the A/C for another few weeks, and the problem might resolve itself or circumstances might change before next spring. It's not everyday that an auto shop recommends that you hold off on replacing a $500 part! These folks are trustworthy and I won't take my car anywhere else.Services: Air conditioning, Auto maintenance

I went to East Rock Auto Repair to get my car looked at. The service I received there was completely unparalleled. Not only did they send pictures of everything they did, they gave narrative explanations on their website, and asked my approval before they did anything. The office workers were incredibly kind, and to top it all off, they left a thank you note and air fresheners in my car. I can no longer go to any other auto shop because no other could possibly compare. I will travel as far as I need to to give this wonderful establishment my business. 100/10
