New to town and they have been a pleasure to work with! Matt is extremely responsive and they were able to help me in an emergency and also service my mother in law s car quickly and efficiently! Great quality work and great customer service! So glad to have them in town! 5 stars all around!

Was between 3-4 stars, but giving 4 due to the friendliness. They are quite nice and responsive. The shop seems clean and well-organized and I would definitely trust them to do a good job working on my car.The price, however, is quite a bit higher than what could be considered the market rate for swapping tires onto new wheels. I take some blame as I should have asked for the price before dropping my things off, but I did not expect it to be roughly double what I would pay somewhere else. From one of the other reviews, it seems like another customer was quoted a price lower than what he was actually billed for, so I am not sure that asking the price beforehand would have made much of a difference.4 stars if it fits your budget and you need the work done carefully, but 3 stars if it is a simple repair and you have other options at better prices nearby.Service: Tires

Had car troubles on a road trip and needed fast service on a Friday afternoon. Gave them a call and Matt said they would do everything they could to fit us in. Not only did they get us in and out within an hour, Matt was incredibly friendly and helpful. Can t recommend this shop enough!

Recently had front & rear complete brake replacement for my Mercedes at C&H Autos. They offered excellent customer service from the initial quote to end repair and Matt was a pleasure to deal with. Very competitive prices compared to Mercedes and they had my vehicle in and out within the day. Would most definitely use C&H again for any future repairs.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I was visiting family in New Canaan just for the weekend and I needed a last minute check on my vehicle. I was worried about my battery failing and they were able to take me in on Friday without an appointment. They were able to diagnose the issue quickly and replaced my battery so I was able to make the drive home safely. What a relief! I am thankful for C&H s expertise, efficiency and welcoming customer service! Thank you!

A great shop, they went above and beyond trying to get my truck tires balanced for me. The staff is super friendly, helpful, and outgoing. I highly recommend them for your automotive service needs. Give them a shot you won't be disappointed!

I called and asked for an estimate to replace brake pads on my car which I explained needed to be replaced. They said they would need to see the vehicle to give an estimate. I told them I d stop by and asked for an oil change to make it worth my while to drive there. I received no oil change and they charged me $200 for a brake inspection to tell me I needed brake pads. I told them I needed brake pads before I came in, no inspection was required or asked for.When I disputed the charge with my credit card company they flat out lied about what transpired and said I came in complaining about squeaky brakes and which required a brake inspection.This place is beyond shady. To boot, their quote to replace the brakes was more than the dealer, so their prices are terrible too.Service: Brakes

I cannot praise Matt and Sean (and everyone else!) at C & H Auto enough for the service they provide. We have been having our cars repaired there for years and wouldn t consider going anywhere else. Whether it s a big job or I just need a small issue checked out, I know I can stop by at any point during business hours and they ll take a look no matter how busy they are, as well as offer real, honest advice. I have countless examples of their professionalism and integrity, but most recently I had an emergency on a busy Friday on a holiday weekend and they managed to squeeze me in. I m not sure where else I would receive such attention and quality work.Service: Tires

Steve and Sean are two of the nicest people I have met. I needed something looked at on my SUV and they took me without an appointment. They even dropped me off at home and then my car later in the day. They had the car fully serviced the same day and made sure it was 100%. They welcome you in and make sure any concerns or needs are taken care of. It is truly refreshing to find people that care. Not to mention the price was great. I love to stay local and this is truly a gem in New Canaan. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. So glad I have a place to go to and trust. Thank you again to C&H Automotive for a great experience.

Rolled my wife's car in late, wasn't sure if it was battery or alternator. C&H team was sincerely supportive and communicated well. The next morning the car was inspected, the battery was replaced, and everything was handled professionally.

Last night, I dropped my car off in New Canaan to have my BMW checked out. I was told when I got my last oil change from a different shop that I was leaking oil and that it needed to be fixed immediately, as I am headed to Florida on a trip later this week. Took it to Sean at C&H and he said this was a really minor issue that could be handled at a later date, and he cleaned the oil off my entire engine so that I was ready for my trip at no cost. Sean is a true professional and really takes care of his customers. I recommend C&H to everyone who is looking for a place that does good work for really fair prices. Thanks again!

I have been using C&H for the last five years (most recently June 2021) providing maintenance/service for a 2009 and 2011 Audi and could not wish for a better auto shop. Professional, knowledgeable and friendly staff combined with competitive pricing makes this my one and only stop for anything car related. They have helped me out from annual oil changes/maintenance; bi-annual summer/winter tire swaps, replacing brakes/rotors to the more infrequent check engine light and weird noises etc. The team has always gone above and beyond diagnosing the issue(s), providing proper estimates and explanations before delivering excellent work. I can highly recommend C&H for all automotive services. Thank you to the C&H team!

C&H Automotive is awesome! I highly recommend using them for all your automotive needs. I purchased 4 new tires for my Range Rover and they put them on, did the balance and alignment perfectly! Matt helped me out with answering all my questions. Customer Service is the best! I will continue to use them whenever I need work on my car. Thank you C&H!

We were headed on our way on vacation on the 20th of July this year. We had 3 adults and cat-and-dog in the van and it was about 90 . Unfortunately given the backup traffic stop and go driving, our front passenger brake froze up to the point where you almost could not drive the car at all. We got off at the rest stop and I started calling different repair shops.We had the great fortune of reaching C &H Automotives. Not only were they very helpful , and professional, they walked me through my informal diagnostic assessment as to whether or not I should drive the car or have it towed. When we arrived at the repair shop, they prioritized us. They provided a detailed assessment of the problem. They were able to get the parts quickly We went to the town to get a light lunch with our dog. When we came back to the repair shop, not only was the car fixed. they had also care for our cat. We had asked to keep our cat in it's carrier in their waiting room while we were at lunch. To our surprise,when we returned, we found our cat enjoying the closed office space greeting everyone. In addition, they texted us the next day to assure we safety got to our destination. What professionalism and true carrying.Thank you again to the crew for getting us safety back in our way.

I was driving up from Northern NJ to Boston when my exhaust broke a third of the trip in. Luckily, C&H wasn't far from where I was and the team took me in right away after I called in, and had the lift waiting for me when I arrived so they could inspect immediately. They patched up the damage for a very fair price and I was back on the roads in less than an hour. Never have had a bad experience when leaving my car at C & H. They re always very accommodating and very professional. I had a grinding noise when my car was shifting in between gears and I was dreading hearing what the issue was.Within less than a day after dropping my car off I got a call saying it was a minor issue and there was basically no cost to fix it. Then was told I could come pick up the car whenever worked best for me.I trust this business to do great work and not overcharge people just to make a few extra bucks. Can t ask for much more than that.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Love C & H! Sean & Tim drove out to Pound Ridge to pick up my car. They went above & beyond in service, professionalism, & honesty in pricing & work. Everyone should have a neighbor like this, let alone a mechanic. I called around in advance to a couple places, & just the initial attitude & customer service of C & H struck me--- their competitors were unfriendly, if not rude. Not to mention murky in the details. By comparison, everyone I interacted with at C & H made me feel like I being welcomed into the family.Services: General repairs & maintenance, Battery

I have some trust issues with mechanics because I ve been taken advantage of in the past, but these guys have my business now I went for a flat tire and when I showed up to pay they d also fixed my busted bumper that I d been dragging around for weeks, for free and without me saying anything about it. I m still shocked, I ve never had such a pleasant experience at an auto shop! Thanks :)

Prices completely out of proportion. I bought a set of 4 tires from Discount Tires Direct, which recommended this place for the installation. I called them and I was quoted $165 to install them ($41 each to put them on a rim and balance them - a 5-7 minute job, which would amount to $450 hourly - what you get charged by a lawyer) and $199 for the alignment, which typically goes for $95 in most of Fairfield County. I forgot: plus tax. Sorry, but I'm not spending $400 to mount 4 tires and I don't really care if New Canaan has the demographics that can afford to spend 2-3 times what others pay: we're still talking about tires, not Space Shuttle engineering. I'll make sure that Discount Tires Direct knows what kind of ripoff this place is, so that they can stop recommending it. Clearly, they're trying to make your online purchase unaffordable, as if you should be punished for shopping for the best price, instead of going to the local guys (and you wonder why the local guys are struggling and the online business is thriving, given the local guys' business practices?), so why sending business to them? At these prices, you'd better call this place for engagement rings and diamonds. Alternatively, you could ask Tiffany's to perform those tire jobs, I'm quite sure it would be cheaper.

I stopped by to have a brake light replaced late in the afternoon, close to closing time. Not only did Steve replace the light but he didn't charge me. It's nice to know there are still business' who provide this level of customer service. I highly recommend C&H.

I bring my cars to C&H whenever I need work done. Sean the service manager is great, when my car is there for repairs it gets done right the first time and I don't find myself having to go back. The owner Steve really cares about the quality of the work done at his shop. In the summer when the doors are open I've seen them using a torque wrench to be sure everything is tightened to the correct specs. He and his team are ASE certified. They are also a Napa Auto Care Center, which provides their customers with a nationwide warranty on parts AND LABOR on most repairs. Talk about peace of mind. Couldn't be happier with the quality of their repairs and service!

Steve & Sean run a top notch service center. They do great work, are honest and the whole staff is very friendly. They were originally recommended to me for tire balancing & alignment. They have a state of the art system that very few garages in the area have. better than the big tire stores.

C & H Auto is the absolute best. They are honest, nice people who give an incredible service. They even helped me find a good, reliable car when my old one died, and I've not had to go back and see them in almost a year!I would recommend them to anyone who needs a good mechanic.

Steve is so nice! I was nervous to take my MINI anywhere but the dealer, but they were super fast & professional, and he gave me great advice about what to watch for so that my next repair bill is way lower! Can't give enough stars!

Can't say enough about this wonderful establishment! Friendly people, top-notch service and competitive pricing!We had an emergency one morning with a bum tire and we needed to get the airport. One of the most professional gas stations I ever dealt with. My sons car when in for a oil change and Sean called me to point out that the bottom of the car was about to fall out.He treated me like family and probably saved my son from a serious accident.Their prices are very fair , but there work is above everyone else.Will always bring my cars their for service. Thanks Sean!!!!
