2 stars because they had the alternator in stock. The service was extremely slow, passively racist, and outright rude. Was told the part base price was $50 and I get there its $60, this was not including taxes. Make sure you verify the part cost before you go. Not a good idea to go as a woman and even worst if you're black.

Great customer service. I went to get taillights for my car, they came out look at my tail light oder them by the next day we had used tail lights. They ask so we can take a look at them, one of them was in great condition the other was not. They didn't hesitate to tell us to come back to give a newer one. They were very good with customer service. Will recommend it to others .

Not willing to help. Sexist! My fiance went in 2 hours later; they sold the same piece that they said they "couldn't sell me" 2 hours prior.

Extremely friendly staff the answer the phone immediately and take care of whatever you need and their prices seem to be the best around, too many Auto recyclers out there that have an attitude and are very rough on the customers... NOT HERE!!!@ ARITE THEY ARE VERY ACCOMMODATING KNOWLEDGEABLE AND WILLING TO GO THE EXTRA MILE TO MAKE YOU FEEL CARED ABOUT !!!

Not cool Unfortunate bad customer service .Called for a part, which I was told was available and would be put aside for me. Then DROVE 4 HOURS to be told it was not available due to damage but I didn t even get A CALL FROM THEM TO TELL ME IT WASNT AVAILABLE.

Good experience when I came in to look for a part. Very straight to the point however not rude like other part stores. I felt respected they did their job quickly and helped out a ton. No complaints!

A-rite used auto parts was a company that was listed on line of having a having a good used taillamp. They, a- rite told us "the tail lamp is good" . We gave them our credit card and between the time we ordered and time we received, the credit card expired. the taillamp arrives and is NOT good , was damaged. now i speak to David , some sort of manager who states "we only credit your credit card, (remember the credit card had expired) we don't send check for refunds, we don't do ACH for refunds. its either a credit on that credit card or nothing!!" no checks "!! I asked "how in the world other than they don't want to refund us the money", I asked him, can a business never write a check SCAMMER

Wouldn t sell me a computer because it did not have the same part number. When I clearly told the gentleman I specialize in programming engine computers and he could sell it to me without no warranty. He still didn t want to sell it to me. What a waste of time and zero Customer service whatsoever.

Horrible experience with this place. Bought an engine from this place and the engine failed (locked up oil pump) before the warranty was up.Only driven 36 miles on the engine, when I called to get a replacement I was denied. Their claim was that our shop overheated it. This was absolutely untrue. I even showed them pictures of their lead tabs on the engine. All intact and fine. Even after we pulled apart the engine to prove the oil pump had seized (2010 acadia 3.6 huge job) they denied my claim. They refused to let me talk to the owner. We buy lots of used parts but we will no way purchase parts from this place. I let everyone know (and will continue) the experience we had with this place. Bad bad place

Will tell you over phone that they can't show you the part or take a picture of it. Come down and we can talk about the condition once it's ready. And when the condition isn't right or acceptable because it's the first time the paying customer has seen the part the guys will tell you either take it or go. I rather not spend my time waiting for you to screw me and charge me extra at the same time. Then find out last minute and now my time and money are tied up with you. Real nice. Thank you for the part at the end of the day. You have a nice day

I called to get a tail light assembly for my Sebring. The person I spoke with (Dave) said that they didn't have one in stock; however, he ordered it for me that day. It was delivered the next day! Very happy with the service and price. I would def recommend, and if I am ever in need of a part again, Arite would be my first call!

I have to say the staff is amazing. I had a big situation where there was an error with my name on the receipt and Joe Genovese corrected it in within minutes.The Sales person RCO shipped out my order extremely fast and he answered all the questions I had at the time of the order.I will purchase again from this company. I hope these two employees are recognized for their hard work.

They had the part I needed. The pictures and description were accurate. Price was fair. They did a good job removing it and keeping everything together. Had to go down and pay in person instead of over the phone, but once there it was quick. Would do business with them again.

I needed a side mirror for my car and this was the only place in CT that had the exact same one I needed in the color of my car. It was way cheaper than what the dealership quoted me and I didn't have to pay someone to paint it. It was in excellent condition, Tim responded to emails very quickly and ensured he had all the info needed to get me the right part. I picked it up the next day and was immediately greeted and 5 minutes later the mirror was in my hands and I was out the door. Being female and often getting taking advantage of when it comes to my car, this experience meant a lot to me because everything was done in a professional manner with no agendas. I will ABSOLUTELY recommend this place.

Sold me a junk part. I specifically asked the guy before I paid if it was good because it looked bad, but I needed it, and he said it should be fine. Brought the part to me mechanic, he looked it over and said it was junk, wouldn't install it, and to bring it back. I did bring it back 30 minutes after purchasing it, so same day, and they did process a refund to my cc. So I give a few stars for at least not giving me a hassle on the refund. These are used/recycled auto parts, so there really are never any guarantees...

I went to get an a/c console for an older model Jeep and they had it, after looking for it everywhere they had it. The staff was very nice and the prices were great. I definitely recommend Arite Used Auto Parts and will continue to buy other parts from them.

Never had a problem, no bad vibes, anyone who thinks that they are rude don t understand you get what you give and are misjudging them, after all they run a business in central Connecticut and this is a difficult thing to live and work in this state. I have had great experience with these guys and just keep it simple and leave your stress at home and you may have a better experience with any business or person. Oh yeah, cash is king and with this negotiation can be achieved.

I wish I could give negative stars. I needed a new rim for my Ford and 3 days after it was supposed to come in, I called to check if it was in. He said today it was supposed to come in. I said I ve heard that 3 straight days so is it for sure coming today? He responded by threatening to cancel my order altogether. SO RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL. DO NOT BRING YOUR BUSINESS HERE. Plus I called Chuck and Eddies in Southington. Not only were they nicer but they were $50 cheaper!!!!!!! Chuck and Eddies is 1000x a much better option!

There is a extremely rude and not professional older man that sits there by the window on the right stay away from him. I called him asking for parts he said they have it I came there and he said parts will be in on Friday. So I told him nicely in a calm voice that I drove here far out of the way and that you said you have parts here and he started to scream that they will be here on Friday.

Called the place asking for an alternator for my honda odyssey. Give him the year and model. The person confirmed they have it and didn't wont to take my name to hold it for me and said when you come down it's COD. Later I picked the alternator installed in the car which takes more than couple of hours and any mechanic knows that I find out that it wasn't a honda alternator but it was for an Acura with a different plug. So either remove it again and replace it with the correct one and waste few more hours or order the correct plug which will take couple of days in the mail. When I called them the guy said he will call me back with a solution but never did and when I called back I was put on hold for so long until I hang up. I will never use them or recommend them to anyone. Be careful when you deal with them. I ended up buying the plug which costed me an additional $15.99.

Disgusting. Ordered parts came a day late when they got here the parts were wrong they gave me a call and apologized and said they will be here next morning called them to confirm and now told me tomorrow and the guy just hung up on me. Would never use this place ever again. After years of doing business.

0 stars if I could!! I purchased an air intake for a VW GTI for a particular piece of it that apparently everyone takes off and you cant buy just the piece anywhere and your only choice is to buy the entire air intake assembly. So I sent my 80 year old dad to go pick it up and all went fine til he got back with it and it did not have the piece I needed even though they had a " picture of it " showing the piece which is what I kept hearing from Tim and then to have him blame my dad for losing or even better taking the piece out meanwhile I didn't even open the plastic it came in because I could see the part was missing. I have been dealing with Tim for years being in the car business and when he was at East Coast he was a lot easier/friendlier to deal with. Whom ( East Coast ) I still continue to use because management there seems to care and am pretty sure based on my experience with Arite that management at Arite does not care. I base this on the next person in line I spoke to who didn't care either. Both Tim and a lady claiming to be the manager could not care less. I just don't know how a place with zero customer service like Arite stays in business. Luckily for me and everyone else there are other reputable used auto part suppliers out there. Unless Arite is the only place on planet Earth that has your part, go somewhere else.

Worst place to buy auto parts. Worst customer services in my life. They are very rude. I called them and they said come down here pay today we get you part tomorrow. And I went there pay for the part, but I waited for 5 days, didn t get my Part. After 5 days went there and canceled order, but still I had to pay 25%. So I extremely recommend don t buy any parts from this places. They lied to me. They will lie to you too.

We've all heard the saying if it's too good to be true then it usually is well I'm here to say that Arite Used Auto Parts is the exception to that old saying. They gave me a price that was so low for doing an engine swap that BMW of hartford was 5x more expensive so I was very cautious when thinking of that old saying. They are definitely a top shelf top drawer company. I'm so happy how everything turned out I'm putting my name on this. Thank you so much to Rico, Bill and the owner whose name I forgot.JAMES CASSNew Britain, CT

Most rude disgusting people I have ever meet in my life. Sold me the wrong rear end even though I told them and my 2 GM tech friends that you can't install a traction control rear end in a non traction control rear end on a 1999 Camaro. I had to fight tooth and nail after them ignoring me and hanging up eve though I was patient and nice they finally found the correct rear end. Sadly they sold me a non posi one and I didn't bother to waste my time arguing. I never hated a business in my life like them. To the two rude guys and the woman that treated me like dirt I wish the worse for you three. You cost me a lot of stress, time and money. I can't believe they argued with me face to face when I was nice and I should of been the one arguing. What's crazy is that I usually let things slide and never wrote bad reviews towards any company since I did sales and run a landscaping business. I really hope the worst for that business.
