I had an overall neutral experience here. The mechanic replaced the front valve cover on my 2001 V6 Toyota Camry but I was charged for a full front & rear replacement, which is a more significant job. To their credit, they refunded me some of the labor cost when I brought this to their attention a few weeks later.Ultimately it turns out that the rear valve cover gasket WAS leaking, not just the front one, and I ended up going with a different mechanic to change that one.I appreciate the transparency of the folks there, but at the same time it makes me wonder if I was overcharged for any other job, and makes me hesitant to return.

Bottom of my Jeep was completely rusted out, brought it to Firestone first who quoted me $600 to fix it but ended up not being able to do it. Took my car here and within an hour they were able to torch off the bolts and fix the problem for $50!!! Great service go here for any issue big or smallService: ExhaustService: Exhaust

Great experience! Everyone was very friendly. They fixed what was wrong with my car in a timely manner. Didn't try to sell me anything I didn't need and gave me a very good price. I would recommend this to anybody looking for a mechanic.

I ve been going to Midas for about a year now and have had a positive experience since my first visit. They ensure a positive experience with kind staff members and great prices. I love the affordability of everything there. On April 24, 2023 I brought my 2008 Jeep Grand Cherokee to MIDAS MILFORD located at 254 Old Gate Lane, Milford, CT; This was my very first time going to Midas of Milford. A very dear friend of mine recommended them to me as I was not happy with my current vehicle service provider. I go to the front desk, explain the issues about the Jeep to Jim. Jim listened to me and wrote down all the issues and said he would check them thoroughly and would let me know. I had someone pick me up so I could go about my busy day. Jim calls me to let me know what s going on, he advises me what needs to be done and how much it would cost. I found this phone call to be extremely professional, which is something I am not used to with my other/old service provider. Jim s price was very reasonable, so I told him to please go ahead and start the work. When the car was ready, Jim once again went over everything with me in detail. I can t thank Jim and his staff enough for there; honest work and dedication, FIVE STARS PLUS Thank You. If you looking to have work done on your vehicle/s please give Midas Milford a call, Trust me you won t be disappointed. I ve been coming to Midas in Milford for years. They ve always been able to help me with my older car. As a woman, it s super important to me to feel safe and like I m not being overcharged. Jim at Midas has always made me feel comfortable and I know the price is always right. I highly recommend. Whenever I have an issue with my car they fix it so fast ! They do emissions too!

This place is the best! They have been servicing my vehicle (older vehicle) for a few years now. The people here are amazing and they can always figure out any issues with my car (big or small). Speedy work and good! The owner Jim is absolutely phenomenal. This is the best place in Milford. Very fair prices and they never try to sell you anything that you don't need. My car was having problems a few months ago and they were about to close, the owner told me to bring it right down. This wouldn't happen anywhere else. GREAT customer service. I have been using Midas for both of my vehicles for a few years now and I couldn t be happier with the way that I have been treated by the staff. I always feel like I am a top priority when I walk in, and the turnaround is fast. The prices are good, and the work is top notch and you really can t ask for anything more. I drive a 2017 Chevy Silverado 1500 with 95k miles. It has been a great truck needing no major repairs except routine maintenance. It began having a noise coming from the front end over the course of a couple weeks and began to vibrate as I drove so I decided to take it in to get checked. I just so happened to be travelling to the area and staying in the hotel next door so it worked out that I could drop it off to this shop. I dropped it off without an appointment which was a pleasant surprise. They had called me to give me a quote on a hub (wheel bearing assembly) along with other fluid changes (transfer case, transmission) and a brake job which totalled around 1300$. I gave them the go ahead and they fixed it. A day later when driving the truck back the same noise came back. I called the shop to tell them what happened and they said I could bring the truck back and they would replace the part as it must have been faulty. A week later when I was back in town They did this repair free of charge. Immediately upon getting the truck back the noise was still there. A mechanic drove with me for about 10 minutes on the highway and we figured out that the hub on the other side must also have given up under the stress of driving it with hubs with two different amounts of wear. They replaced this the very next day. Again it was free of charge. Now my truck drives great, no noise, or vibration.I was very impressed by this auto shop. They were honest, accommodating, and when I had an issue they went above and beyond what was expected. Each hub repair costs roughly 630$ and they did two of them free of charge. It would have been very easy for them to stiff me for these charges and they didn't. This is not your average chain repair shop and they take great care of their customers.

Very clean, top grade mechanics, all the work is done on time or sooner. Would definitely recommend Midas. I been going there for 15 + years. They do only what you ask them to. If there happens to be a unforeseen problem in your vehicle they will point it out. They will not repair something that would cost you extra. Always sticking to the quoted price. Best place, for repairs and maintenance.

By far the best experience I've had with any repair shop. I have been taking both the family cars to this shop for a couple years now. The manager is fair and HONEST. The pricing is very reasonable. They are committed to providing quality customer service. They have resolved issues with our older vehicle which other shops could not figure out. This is the only place we take our cars now.

The service was amazing!Clean and Professional environment- skilled mechanics-honest estimate and hundreds of dollars below dealer estimate! Only did repairs as recommended and consented to.Extremely happy and was worth the drive there from Waterbury area!

I called about a brake issue and was told to come by right away and within 90 min I had everything taken care of for a very affordable price. The staff and manager went above and beyond and I was impressed with their professionalism, knowledge, and honesty in every aspect of my experience. I would highly recommend midas and plan to have my car as well as my wife's be taken care of in the future with any automotive needs we may have. Thank you.

Not just an oil-change place. They do a wide range of maintenance tasks. It's like going to your dealer, but more affordable. They always give me a computer print-out of my vehicle's upcoming recommended maintenance schedule, so I can plan ahead. (I then double-checked with the dealer-some recommendations have changed, even from what the owner's manual says). You don't need an appointment. They show you the worn-out parts, after and sometimes before replacing them. Coupons come in the mail, but are available for printing out online anytime! OK, the waiting room is not as cushy-but it has TV, magazines and coffee. Plus they're so fast, who cares?

they diagnosed my cars computer to tell me a code that I already knew after I ve gotten it diagnosed at autozone for free , in which Midas charged me a whopping $50 to tell me the same thing. After I was already knowledgeable of what was wrong with the vehicle, the mechanic pulled me over to tell me he has no idea and would be guessing what was wrong with the car and would wipe the engine light off. Also, I was attended at the front desk by a sarcastic and unfriendly front desk old man, mechanics were all friendly and simply following the old mans orders , I did not like his customer service. In conclusion , I got a final charge of $75 for a gas cap that costs $20, unbelievable .

Great service on a Saturday morning recently. Did not want to spend a fortune on a car with 215k on it and thislocation nicely welded on a piece to mymuffler to solve the problem. The otherarea Firestone in Milford tried to sell a complete exhaust system which I did not need! Appreciated the honesty andfair price at this Midas. Guessing the fact that this is an owner-operated vs.corporate run business increases thequality and personalization of the service.

They don't even deserve 1 star. Customers beware!!! Took my car to this Midas for an oil change and then went back to Stratford where I usually go and was informed that drain plug threads were stripped and replaced with a temporary plug. When I called them about this, they had the nerve to tell me that I was told about this error that they made and had no intention of fixing it. It will now cost me around 600.00 out of pocket to replace oil pan. Very dishonest if you ask me and I was also, told that they are known for doing the same to other customers. I will be contacting Midas Corporate Department.Service: Oil change

Brought in 2 cars this week. The owner, Jim, is honest and explains the procedures before the work is done. I was happy with the work and the costs which were lower than a local mechanic.Will definitely go back!

I went on google seen good reviews so decided to go there to get my car checked out. They tried to rob me out $1600 but i didnt get all thr work done. But they robbed $928 from me when i could got it alot cheaper. All they did was rear brake pads, rotors, calipers. I would never recommend them to anyone.

Heard a noise underneath my car and took it to Midas to have them see the damages. Surprised nothing was wrong when they looked and then they said "No Charge" Ma'am. Very polite . That's why they are go to place for me. Try them out.

Owner Jim is easy to talk to he doesn't talk down to you like most mechanics who know you have no clue what's wrong with your vehicle. Public bathroom available, clean facilities and reasonable prices

If I could given it a no star I would. What a group of maroons. As a mechanic I had my wife go there to just bleed the brakes. That's all it needed. They said they said come on up. Naturally was at work, and knew my wife needed her car done before I could come home. Told her be 90 bucks as I was told. She takes it there and they refuse to look at it cause they never worked on an H3 brake system. Hey Yankee maroons, there is a bleeder valvue and it takes two people do it. Not a one person job. My advice to everyone don't come here. Over priced and uneducated of mechanics.
