I've always heard good things about Chips Auto Sales. When I saw a car online I stopped by and left owning a new (used) car. The price was fair, the buying process and financing easy. The process was stress free and pleasant. I left feeling confident. I would definitely recommend Chips to anyone. Thanks RH

Working with Bob on an out of state purchase, from start to finish, it felt like a good handshake deal. He did what he said he was going to do. His accommodations for me being an out of state buyer, Bob was able to make me feel like he wasn't going to sell the car out from under me. That happened to me at another dealership and was very disappointing. Both Bob and Chip were very pleasant to work with in making this deal and it was done with no surprises, extra dealership fees, and no underlying issues with the car that wasn't pointed out.Thank you!Michael P.

I purchased a vehicle from Chips last week and the finish on the vehicle was absolutely beautiful and excellent. However after spray rinsing the vehicle only once, dozens of big deep scratches and hidden rock chips suddenly appeared all over the vehicle. It's obvious that the actual condition of the vehicle has intentionally disgusted with detailing tricks and the actual value was misrepresented to the degree of several thousand dollars in anticipated paint correction repairs. Although the purchase terms were "As Is" I have buyers remorse about this dealership for this cheesy sub-professionalism. This really yucked the yummy of what I initially thought was a fair deal. SUNAN the sales guy has yet to return my call on this matter.

Chip's Auto Sales is the BEST Used Car Dealership in CT!!! Their 40 years of experience geared me into the perfect car that fit my needs. As a working college student I needed a reliable and safe car. I was able to get both a RELIABLE & SAFE car along with everything else I wanted & MORE! Chip & Joe quickly found a solution and I am extremely HAPPY with my new car! I chose to buy from Chip's is because they are friendly, honest, and have a depth of knowledge with cars. It's hard to find businesses as GREAT as Chip's Auto Sales. I am a CUSTOMER FOR LIFE!!!

I wish there were more stars to give!!! I had a wonderful experience purchasing my cars with Chip's. Yes, I said C A R S! I initially was looking for a car for my daughter but the quality of the inventory was so great I bought one for myself too! I didn't know if my budget or credit history would allow it, but Chip's Auto Sales made it work! Everyone at Chip's is friendly, knowledgeable, and they go the extra mile to assure you drive off with a quality, safe vehicle. My daughter and I are loving our cars!! Thank you to Sam, and Bob and Chip! Wonderful place to buy a car!

Reading all the negative reviews about Chips. Having been on the receiving end of their awful sales team after a year of warranty claims totaling well over $14,000 with a vehicle I bought from this establishment last year all I can say is there are many other small dealers out there. Don t double dip the stale Chips. Happy Christmas to everyone. Please be diligent in doing research beforehand in purchasing any car from any dealer., call the manufacturer toll free number. Don t trust CARFAX. There are a number of services you can hire to inspect the vehicle. Do it now before you have headaches later. Stale chips. Oh what did the salesman say to me Reviews are for restaurants. PPI pre purchase inspection.

I just recently purchased a Mazda CX-5 for my son. The car has been excellent and we couldn't be happier. The buying experience was seamless and smooth. My fianc� was looking for a Buick enclave. We looked for months and finally came across one we liked at Chips Auto. We were greeted by Bob who did not pressure us into a sale and was in general, a nice person. He was there for us every step of the way and even though we lived an hour away he did a good job communicating with us throughout the entire process. After we purchased the car, it had a couple issues that came up and Bob immediately helped us resolve the issues. We are not only happy with the vehicle but the customer service was top notch as well. I will be a returning customer and would recommend everyone to purchase a vehicle here. The only recommendation I would make is to always take a car to get an inspection before purchasing. This is not a reflection of Chips, but this should be done anywhere. I got lucky and they helped resolve the issues but not many dealers would do the same!

PURCHASED A JEEP A FEW WEEKS AGO FROM CHIP'S AUTO SALES. IT'S THE SECOND VEHICLE I HAVE PURCHASED FROM THEM. ANOTHER PLEASURABLE EXPERANCE. WOULD NOT GO ANYWHERE ELSE. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

I could not be more pleased with my experience with this dealership. From my initial contact with Bob based on my online inquiry, every interaction with the people at Chip's was pleasant and professional. After several phone calls, I booked a train from Delaware to Connecticut to purchase a vehicle. I was somewhat guarded in that I'd not seen the vehicle in person but was assured that it was as represented. I asked for a prepurchase inspection and Bob was completely agreeable and accommodating. When i arrived, the car was exactly as described and the deal I believe was very fair. I was greeted warmly upon arrival and could not have been more pleased. As Bob was busy, I dealt with Chip directly. He was great to deal with. Honest to a fault which is so rare these days. I would absolutely reccomend buying a car from Chip's and would do so again with no trepidation.

Over the years my family has purchased numerous vehicles from Chip s Auto Sales. We have always been extremely pleased not only with the quality of the vehicles we have purchased, but also with the level of professionalism and customer service given to us by Chip and his team. I have nothing but great things to say about Chip's and the whole team there! The team there goes above and beyond.Bob took me out on two test drives, as I had my eye on two of their vehicles. He is extremely knowledgeable and has a great sense of humor. Once I'd made a decision, he handed me me off to Sam, who got me situated with a credit application. She is an expert on which lenders you'll have the best shot with and called me shortly after to let me know I'd been approved.I also had an opportunity to speak with Chip, who was very warm and hung out in the main room with Sam and I as we completed paperwork.I would have been able to drive off with my car that same day but owed taxes on another vehicle. Sam was kind enough to offer to meet later that evening to hand me the keys, if the DMV cleared the taxes by the time she left the office.All in all, would highly recommend Chip's for your next vehicle!

Over the years, members of my family have always turned to Chip's when in the market for a used vehicle. Recently, we bought another truck and could not be more pleased. The service was, as always, knowledgeable, helpful and courteous. I left with peace of mind knowing that we purchased a good vehicle at a fair price.

Car engine blew up within a couple of months and <5k miles. Needs more work to fix than it cost to buy.Never going back. Stay away.The cars look great when you buy them, but the don t last.

Hi - super nice and pleasant place to purchase a car. Absolutely no pressure. The quality of cars there is amazing, very nice hand picked used vehicles. Highly recommended. I stopped there on the way to another dealership, I test drove the truck from Chips, and I said I am on the way to try another one next town. Joe did not play any games trying to stop me, said "we are here if you decide to come back". And guess what, I did come back 2 hrs later and bought the F-150 from Chips.

I recently purchased a great car from Chip's. My initial contact was a visit to the dealership to view the car. It was then that I met Joe. I immediately appreciated his friendly and professional approach. We subsequently exchanged emails and follow up phone calls. Joe was also prompt and communicative.I decided to make the purchase and Joe handled everything seamlessly. I also had the opportunity to meet Chip who was personable and reinforced my decision to purchase the car from the dealership.The car is everything that it was represented to be, which was a very well maintained vehicle in excellent condition.I highly recommend Chip's Auto sales.Alan.

I wouldn't buy a car from this place unless you can be there in person and have it independently vetted by your own mechanic--which is really the best way in general, but, here goes. First, they sent the car without telling us (like shipped it and then told us it was on the way instead of setting a date to ship it) and then sent it to the wrong address even though two different people told them multiple times where to send it to, which is especially funny because both of us had a laugh with them about how we're both in Milford but in different states. Still they managed to send it to the wrong address in a town two+ hours away, that appeared as an address on one of our licenses (not even both of them). THEN, after promising as of course they would that the car was mechanically sound, the first time I drove it I could hear an awful noise coming from the clutch that they definitely would have heard, and sure enough, it immediately needs an $1,800 dollar clutch repair for an issue that was clearly long-standing. They did give it new brakes and new tires, which they bragged about but kinda like putting a bowtie on a pig if it needs 2K in immediate work they didn't tell me about, when I specifically asked if the car needed any work. So ultimately the car was overpriced when factoring in the work and hassle, not as promised, and with the exception of one person all the people there were rude and defensive. For me to bother with a negative review means it's legitimate, as I'm pretty laid back and have never written one of these before.

I found my beautiful car through Cargurus, I brought a 2012 Lexus CT200h. I emailed Chips and Joe quickly responded. I went out on a rainy Saturday and came home with my car that Wednesday. Joe took care of everything, test drive, financing, registration everything! With the help of Sam and the wonderful Chip (Owner) I brought my car home! I recommend this dealership to anyone who is serious about buying a car. My car was missing an antenna and they replaced it no hassle no fuss. I love that they are genuine, no-nonsense people! Trusted for many years. No longer! Truck with thousands of dollars worth of rust had to be sold with no gain. Recent Mercedes in the shop now, with over $4000 worth of repairs less than a month after purchasing from Chips. Would not recommend any longer.

I had a terrific experience at Chips! I am very picky when it comes to cars and like to take a long time to inspect a used car. Joe at Chips gave me all the time I needed with no pressure. The first car a looked at was not up to my standards (great car, just not for me). I told Joe what I was looking for and he said he d find it. To my surprise, I had a voicemail a week later saying We ve got your car .This one was perfect! Exactly what I was shopping for. After crawling over, under, & through, we made a deal and I was able to drive it home that evening. Joe even had the one tiny parking lot ding removed by his paint-less dent removal guy a few days later.Joe and the team were professional the whole way through and kept their word on everything. I ve had the car for 2 months now and all has been fine.If Chips can keep a picky car guy like me happy, they can keep anyone happy!! Next time I need a new ride, they will be my first & only stop

It was my first experience buying from a used car dealership. Joe at Chips Auto Sales was very impressive. He knew exactly how to conduct business in a professional manner and new all the answers to our questions. Joe helped us with the transaction very quickly and to the point. Got my first car at Chips and the whole journey could not have gone smoother! We were helped by Joe and were not pressured to make a decision the first time we went for a test drive... had to think it through because although it was the car I wanted, a Jeep wrangler in the interior and exterior color I wanted, it was a manual transmission! Something new to me! We thought it over exchanged emails which he was responsive to even after hours, and went again a couple of days later for a second test drive, I figured new car and new goal of learning to drive manual, so I got it! It s been a few weeks, I m taking classes but my husband has been driving it and smooth ride, smooth transaction and Joe was super helpful with the hundreds of questions I had. Fully recommend them if you see a car you like!

Joe is not your typical car salesman, in fact he works with you as he did with me. I live over 2 hours away and a an issue arose with my vehicle, rather then have me return to Milford, he took care of the issue for me locally, the company stands behind their vehicles and their warranty. I am very pleased with my purchase from Chips. Great job !

Joe and Chip were extremely helpful! My husband and I had purchased a car a few months earlier from Napoli Nissan and the car gave us nothing but trouble after only 3 months. We were nervous about financing another car within such a short time but Chip gave us a more than fair offer on our lemon of a car and Joe helped us get a fair monthly payment. I would highly recommend them if you are looking for a new used car!

Just as with all used dealers, you need to keep your eyes open. Thankfully, Chip and Joe seem to be more honest than your ordinary used car dealers The rest is likely just the nature of the used car industry. Having to deal with hidden damage and dealing with an older, rarer car made mine a little complicated and led to only 4 stars. Still high praise for a used dealer though.

I just bought my 2013 Mazda CX-5 from Chips Auto Sales. The crew there are amazing I specifically bought my car from Joesph Manzi at a great and affordable price. One thing that I can say that you dont hear a lot from most dealerships is that Chips Auto Sales is as honest as they can be. I am thankful for their honesty and I would recommend my closest relatives to them any time. THANK YOU Chips Auto Sales.

Please before you purchase ANY USED car from any car dealer please please please do your DUE Diligence. Take the vehicle to a non partisan mechanic. The cars on the lots now are being traded in Because of the short supplies. Because of this some dealers are paying over for them and dont want to invest in repairs. The classic line is Well it passed inspection . Also make sure the title is there. I ve bought and sold many vehicles for my customers and unfortunately when I purchased this suv I was too far away. I should have hired a service to go over the truck. Chips is a classic sell and forget you when they get the check. Again due diligence. Be wary.

Trust your instincts and they will not fail you! As unbelievable as it sounds the experience with Joe and Chip went from great to greater with no hiccups in between. This was the my pursuit to give my wife the car she always wanted without paying the $100K+. So after searching across the US I found her car at Chips. So Texas is a long way from Connecticut even for a 2015 Mercedes S 550 and Joe gave me every consideration imaginable from the very start. Knowing that a 5 year old vehicle had to have some imperfections Joe was willing to FaceTime and allow me to see those upfront. After seeing the car on FaceTime we made all the arrangements over the phone and Joe took the extra steps of coordinating with my financial institution to ensure that I wasn't wasting a plane ticket to get to Conneticut only to have everything the fall through. So after arriving at the dealership I met Joe face to face and had the opportunity to meet and talk with Chip. Total professionals with a down home attitude that make you feel welcomed and appreciated. I would take both of these gentlemen golfing any day of the week and twice on Sunday. After going over the car I wasn't rushed to get out the door. We spent time getting to know each other and I felt like this was family I'd want to go back to see. Likely will do exactly that so I can share the CT experience with my family. So I get on the road to take the wife's S 550 to her and it was the most pleasant and comfortable 2,000 mile journey I have ever had and I got SiriusXM to boot for the trip! Thank you sir! So from start to finish, yes, we purchased a high end vehicle. But at the end of the day we were able to create a relationship based on trust and respect. I would buy another vehicle from these gentlemen sight unseen any day of the week, month or year.Trust your instincts and they will not fail you! Nor will Joe and Chip!Most awesome road trip ever!Thank you both!

Living in SC and buying a car in CT causes a little apprehension, but I found a car on line that was just what I was looking for, so I gave it chance. I had a fantastic experience in buying my car. I dealt with Joe Manzi and he could not have been more professional. The description he gave me on the car was spot on, and I am thrilled with the car. Joe did exactly what he said he would every time. After I received the car, he called to make sure everything was good. 5 stars to Joe and the Chip's group.

I too was ripped off. Joe is a piece of work. I purchased a vehicle (MBE) and I specifically asked Joe was there anything he knew about the vehicle that I needed to know. He said no there wasn t.He showed me trunk release while I wa in the car and went to the back of the vehicle and quickly closed it in one fluid motion. In doing so I didn t learn that the automatic closing feature of the trunk lid didn t work (feature allowed for opening and closing trunk without getting out of car).By the time I put new plates on car (within 30 days of purchase/temp plates exp.) I had to replace the rear differential (that repair cost almost equaled purchase price)! I called Joe. He said he would call me back. He ever called me back.And they re sneaky. They placed a circular bumper sticker on the car after I purchased it. When I inspected car prior to purchase there was no Chips sticker on trunk lid. Didn t notice sticker till day or so later.When I called back they told me we put stickers on all of our cars (like branding cattle) and if you take it to car wash they can remove it. And that s what I had to do.The truth is they are sneaky and untrustworthy. And none of the cars on their lot have Chip stickers on them. Who would buy a car with these clowns advertisement squarely on the bumper. It was obvious that they put it on right before I left the lot.So Joe and CHIPS will rip you off without hesitation. Please have an independent mechanic check any car they re selling you; get a warranty for the vehicle you re purchasing. And never never go to their mechanic. Ultimately you ll discover that Chip s is short for bull chips; and this business is full of it. PLEASE PASTE AND REPOST. BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!
