The staff were very professional, very polite, very pleasant, very efficient and has excellent teamwork! That s customer service at its finest! We drove up for oil change. They checked and I needed an air filter change too. They provided a quick, NO nonsense service. They provided us with detailed information. We stayed in our car the whole time while they serviced our vehicle. In and out. Quick tip: I got my oil change deal from groupon and save $31 on oil change

I recently went to Valvoline for service and it was truthfully the best service I have ever received from an automotive company. Jahresse and Mike went above and beyond to ensure I had a positive experience. Their friendliness and attentiveness were off the charts. They took the time to explain everything thoroughly, ensuring I understood every step of the process. Not only that, but the service was incredibly fast and efficient. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I highly recommend Valvoline to anyone in need of automotive service. They truly set the standard for exceptional customer service.

This place is quick, and efficient for oil changes and other quick services to your car or automobile. Prices are slowly creeping upwards, but the service is still there after all these years.

I've gotten dozens of oil changes here and never had a problem. I just took my mom here because she had trouble with her last oil change spot and they treated her great. Would recommend to anybody

This is probably the best experience I've ever had getting my oil changed by a large chain. Not only did they not persist with up selling the crew was very efficient and polite. I have a known issue with my engine light and as soon as the technician saw the light was on he quickly had me turn off the engine. I told him my issues and he then reluctantly let me leave. I appreciate how much concern he had for the welfare of my vehicle even if it was only the fear of a lawsuit, so many other people would have just ignored it.

I went there for the first time 3 days ago. While I personally find the price a bit high, my overall experience was really good. There were four young guys on hand. Two took right to the job quickly. While they were loud and "joking" amongst themselves, there was nothing vulgar or anything. It actually helped to make the visit more relaxed. The young man who helped me and my wife joked with us. Overall they were really friendly and easy going. I didn't get the impression that they were on a "Give us your $120 and get out of here" attitude. We were only there for about ten minutes. They were fast and the young guy that attended to us explained everything and why it was pricey. Synthetic oil costs more. (Which I knew) They gave us the FULL treatment. He even showed us the dipstick after, "Nice and clean and good to go". I wish I could remember his name. It all happened so fast lol. When all was said and done, he guided us out of the building (normal) but then tapped my arm which was resting on the door, pointed at us and said, "You guys enjoy the rest of your day". I felt like one of my nephews changed my oil. I told him, "Hey, you too and thanks. We'll be back". I'll definitely be getting my next oil change there. It was worth it.I would much rather get my oil changed by easy going young guys in ten minutes without an appointment than older smug guys in 2 hours with an appointment like at Firestone. Valvoline is my new place.Service: Oil change

Dont rely on their business hours listed on google or valvoline website. They workers can decide to close early. I called ahead and talked to a human person who assured me they are open and I can come in. I drove 15min. They told me they dont have enough people and they are short staffed. Waste of a ride. Not going there again. I asked them why they asked me to come in. they said I must have talked to a call center and they dont know whats going on here. Shady business.

The manager Tom is extremely knowledgeable, professional, and provides excellent customer service. His team is very friendly and professional. I always feel safe, secure, and very happy when I leave after getting my car serviced here.

Elwood was the best service tech I've ever encountered, services were quick and professional.I've already referred 3 ppl to THIS Valvoline as I don't plan on going to any other facility but THIS one for my cars needs.The other techs were very professional in their work and handling of my car. I was treated with respect and felt more than just another "number". I felt almost like a member of the Valvoline family. That's how awesome these guys were!!I'd give 10 's if I could!

Went to get my oil changed and tires rotated yesterday. Called first to make sure they rotate tires. Drove all the way there. Got there at 4:40. They close at 6. Pulled up and told thr manager what I needled done. No problems. He has me wait. After 10 minutes or so of waiting, I pull up to get the work done.i tell the kid waiting on me what I need. He says it's too late in the day. It takes too long. The plastic is hard to get off the lift. The arm of the jack is too long to deal with. I say, what? You just had me wait and now you can't do it? You don't close for over an hour from now! So then he tells me they don't work on my cars. What? You mean this Honda Acvord you've serviced in the past? Are you serious? So I told him he sucked and left. Then I call corporate and they patch me thru to the Middletown Manager, he's the first guy who had me wait, then watched me leave. The manager apologized asking what he can do to make it better? Nothing dude. You can do nothing. You think I want to come back so kid #2 can hack up my car? I think not. But what you can do is remember yesterday and think about what your employees can do so that YOUR bonus check each month doesn't get smaller and smaller because that's exactly what's gonna happen as your employees keep making you lose faithful customers. I could have gone to Wallingford. It's closer but I'm a loyal customer in Middletown. Not anymore. Again, your employee sucks and would never allow him to touch my car now. Also, time is money. Some people have A LIFE with very little spare time to be doing these tasks. Now I have to figure out when I can find time again to fit the maintenance done. Which is why I'm pissed. Which is why I called first.Then your employee lies to my face, which pisses me off even more.I highly recommend to anyone reading this to absolutely go somewhere more honest. They have liars for employees at this Valvoline. Who else knows what they lie about? No one wants to find out, that's for sure! Zero stars

10/10 recommend.I was hesitant at first, I have been warned about in and out oil changes but I have nothing but good things to say about the mechanics at Valvoline Middletown.Went a few times for just an oil change, and they were always checking everything else (tire pressure was good and any other possible issues).I had my transmission fluid that I knew I needed to do ASAP, but didnt say anything to the mechanics. They pointed it out as soon as they were done with my oil change and even showed me how filthy transmission stick was (very observant and knowledgable).The most recent oil change, they immediately pointed out my serpentine belt was cracked in half, and I had no idea. It could've been very bad if I didnt change it as soon as they told me (I had a $5 coupon, and the guy did a $10 coupon!!! I'm a single mom with no help and that brightened my day).These guys definitely are amazing and quick, deserve their own shop if they keep this up!!!!Services: Transmission, Oil change

I pulled up on 7/11 and there was barely a greeting. No explanation of services or recommendations. No light checks, no oil check at the end. The staff was too busy fooling around and not paying attention to their work. Soon after as I was driving, I hear scraping on the ground. I look and it was my skid pan. They couldn't even take the time to secure it safely. Way to go guys...you suck.

Had an extremely positive experience there today. It's my second time using them, and Ill certainly be coming back in the future. The crew was extremely nice, and efficient. One guy was training a new employee and really taking the time to show him how to do things right. This really showed that they cared about the work they were doing. There was a noise coming from my air system after they changed the cabin air filter. They opened it back up and found a leaf that had gotten into the fan and had it all fixed and working properly in no time. I usually do the work myself, but am glad I brought it in to their shop today.Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Oil change

Was helping out an old friend. Took his truck here Was told by service rep that the vehicle only took synthetic oil. Found out later from the owner that it takes regular oil and that's all he's ever used. Since I pulled out the engine has not been running right. After researching, the switch over to synthetic oil does this. The bill was over $100. And now I'm stuck paying for most of it as the owner didn't expect the bill to be so high. We're both on limited income. Thanks for nothing! I'll never return to any of Valvoline ever! Neither will the vehicle owner. Didn't like being mislead.

I have been coming here for almost 2 decades and the service has been great with friendly staff. Lately there has been an unprofessional, intimidating atmosphere with poor attitudes, unfortunately. This is my Go To place for oil changes now. I don't know why I haven't been doing this all along. No appointments, no drama, stay in my car AND in and out 15-20 minutes. What is there to dispute? Pricing is competive the technicians are all friendly and easy going A+++

Their service was great. Very courteous, very friendly. They all wore masks, which is important during the COVID-19 pandemic. Their prices were reasonable. I was able to drive into the garage and they performed the service while I remained in the car. The only reason I gave them 4 stars, instead of 5, is that the windshield wipers they used to replace my old ones (per my request) are of poor quality. The old wipers had been on the car for several years, but they were more effective than the replacements. The wipers are my only complaint.

I noticed that one of my brake lights went out while I was on the road due to my turn signal flashing rapidly, so I wanted a quick fix to avoid getting pulled over. I was in Middletown, so I stopped in at this location on Washington street and I'm glad I did. The technician was very friendly and professional. He had my old bulb out and new bulb in less than five minutes. Very satisfied with the service I received.Service: Electrical

Really great and speedy experience for an older Ford Escape from Texas. They suggested (not hard sell) to check the transmission fluid, which clearly (opaquely) needed it. All else done rapidly and professionally.

Very friendly knowledgeable staff and professional environment. Great place to get regular routine maintenance done on your vehicle and like any chain they will try to upsell you and sell you on other jobs but other than that very good crew/operation and the free car washes are a plus as well.

I will never return! Horrible experience and horrible customer service! Went for an oil change.. on the way home a piece of my car fell off. Took it back to valvoline where they said the piece looked banged up.. (because it just went flying down the road and was ran over) they then made an excuse that the housing for the quarter turn screws was worn out and that's why the part fell off. (Took it to the mechanic and that was incorrect. Looks like they were trying to find an excuse on why it happened) the managers decision on how to fox it was to zip tie the part to my car.. my car is a 2018 with 40k miles on it.. parts should not have to be zip tied on! I asked if they could order a replacement part and they said they would make sure it doesn't come off again. So irritated with the whole exchange. I will never go back there again. Instead of fixing their mistake they made it so the next time I need an oil change I will be in the same boat because the quarter turn screws were completely damaged. Avoid this place at all costs.

The guys were very friendly, informative and even showed me my air filter so I could decide if I wanted to get it done that day. They did not try to pressure me to buy anything and I really appreciated that!!

Very professional staff. I was walked through every decision, recommendation and service status. The convenience of being able to sit in my vehicle while having my oil change was time saving and pleasurable. I have already bragged about my experience to others and will be returning with my other car at the turn of the week. Great job guys!

Everyone has bad days, guess I ran into that with this particular employee.I went here to get an oil change. I usuallygo to the one in New Haven. I had a 25$ coupon and it wasn t scanning. I asked if he could just apply it because whenever this has happened elsewhere, they honor it. The dude didn't even try. He also gave me a condescending tone when declining a recommended part, in a way that was designed to almost question my judgement. I came about 15 minutes before closing & they all had the BEST attitude & did not make me feel uncomfortable about coming towards the end of the day like some businesses can.
