When the transmission in my Ford van went I took it to a different shop and they spent 4 hours trying to figure out what was wrong but they never checked the transmission. So I talked with Mike on the phone and the symptoms I was telling him he knew right away what it was. It is my work truck and I can't get my work done without it when I brought it in Mike said it would take 5 days and he had it back to me in two. Now it's working perfectly and I'm glad I picked this shop!

Quick service, very reasonably priced and extremely professional. Originally was told it could take up to two weeks for my transmission, which I understood because they're busy and I wasn't scheduled. Received my vehicle in 4 days. Great service!!!

These guys were great!! I had the unfortunate experience of my Nissan s transmission going out on I-84. I was driving home to NJ from NH when it happened. It was late in the day, just about before they closed, but Mike got an estimate together for me and waited for me and the tow truck to arrive. My car was done in about a week and rides like new. They were super flexible with all the logistics of me living in NJ. Buzz answered ALL my questions and took time to explain things to me. I really appreciated his honesty and the time he took with me on the phone. If I lived closer I d have these guys do all my car maintenance!

I brought my Dodge Ram 2500 here to have the transmission fixed. We decided on a full overhaul/rebuild. This was a huge waste of money. The transmission is shifting just as bad after the "rebuild" as it was before. I had to tow the truck back there under my own dime because they decided to leave rotting transmission lines on after the "rebuild" and it blew out on the highway. The only thing they made the transmission do is shift much harder than before, almost too hard. Be warned this place is not what it used to be and they seem to do the bare minimum over here. Mike has now taken over the business for Buzzy and he does not provide the same quality work that Buzzy did. I didn't see Buzzy working there anymore either. The quality and customer service has gone down the drain. I would look elsewhere before going here.EDIT: Since Mike decided to respond and sound like some type of hero I guess I'll fill in the blanks. Apparently he believes that automatic transmission wiring has nothing to do with an automatic transmission. He has absolutely no idea what he's doing with wires, he actually bypassed sensors and computers and hot wired my APPS harness. He thought this was the fix for the torque converter lock-up, sadly he was very wrong. This is actually very dangerous for the PCM and I'm hoping he didn't cause extra damage there. As far as the old transmission lines, you would think a transmission expert could identify that they needed replacing BEFORE they blow out on the highway away from home. He never mentioned anything about them. I had to spend over $400 on a tow and was only reimbursed for of that. This guy will pretend he's completed the job and that he did it correctly but it's all just hacked together. I fixed his wiring mess and I also fixed the lock-up issue myself. Sad that I knew more about fixing it than a "professional". No Mike, it was not the computer. I have the truck at a professional shop now to review the transmission "rebuild" in detail and I will update my review with what we find from his "rebuild". This new shop has already told me a few bad stories about Main Street Transmission too...

WARNING!!! WILL RUIN YOUR CAR!!!Better take your car to some trustworthy mechanic or use some other transmission shop in the area before taking your car there. The level of unprofessional and unashamed, unapologetic attitude of this business really sets them apart from the rest. These guys are there to ruin your otherwise normal running car. I left my car there just to have it's transmission checked and got my car back in almost un-driveable condition. It still isn't driving the way it used to with some new problem every day. I believe it is have some sort of a domino effect due to one damage causing damage to other areas of the car. These folks have so many 5 star reviews but truth is anyone can get paid reviews these days. When I tried to complain about the condition of the car, I was given a cold shoulder.Again don't believe the reviews. Any business these days can get positive reviews. If you still want to spend thousands more on your car and still not be able to drive it, this place is highly recommended for that.Good luck and spread the word

If you go anywhere else, you are NUTS!!! Buzz (owner) more that fair, excellent pricing, and superb work. Charged me about 1/3 of other shops I contacted. He diagnosed the problem over the phone, and fixed it the next day. It was like driving a new truck! Thanks again Buzz, you are the best!!!!!
