Norman was a great guy. He informed me a bit more about my car and did an amazing job towing my car with a dead engine. He was swift and was able to work with tight spaces and was easy to follow for an hour long trip across the state. 10/10 would recommend!

Norman, Truck Number 6, was AWESOME! Norman gave me the best phone greeting I have had in a long time when he called me to let me know he was on his way. Very positive and great energy! He was able to get into the tight parking lot in the rear of the house, handle my truck with care and get my truck onto the bed of the tow truck effortlessly. Norman is very professional, resourceful and knowledgeable about cars. Thank you Norman!

I do not do reviews, so let me make it clear, the reason I am taking time to do this, is because I am outraged at the way this place handled my car, and I do not want to see people bring their car to this poorly managed business.My car was in at a local mechanic for service, and when they were done with the job, went to take it out on a test drive and my car was hit. (It was not the mechanics fault, it was the person who hit my car, who was at fault.)My car was towed to Axle and Spindle, where I figured it was safe and secure. I was not able to get to my car for 2 days to get my belongings that I need for the time that my car is getting repaired. I went down to get my belongings at Axel and Spindle from my car, and they were closed. No problem, except for the fact that I got a bad feeling immediately when I pulled up. It is just a lot with bashed up cars with no clear visual of where the business is or where the door is to go in. Just a big white building with cars parked in front. Not professional looking at all. I went to look at my car s damage, and I noticed all four of my doors locks up in the unlocked position. I then grabbed my expensive belongings and transferred them to a friends car. When I spoke to Axel and Spindle, two days later (they were closed for the weekend) they said that they locked my car when it was towed to their lot. I asked how that could be if I went down and it was unlocked. They proceeded to say they locked it, so when I asked how I got into my car then, their response was that people break into cars and somebody must have broke into my car before I arrived. My question is how could you say that somebody broke into my car, yet left all of my belongings. The man on the phone then asked me if we were done. I then spoke to the tow truck driver who towed my car, who told me that my cars lock system was not working because of the accident and my doors wouldn t lock when they dropped it off to the lot. So now my question is if they knew that, why didn t they find a garage or roof to put it under to protect it? Let me say this, Axel and Spindle asked if we re done. Well they may think this is over, however I am not done with this. Terrible way to handle business. Do not trust your car with these people.

Norman Truck number 6 was a huge help today! He did an amazing job making sure my fianc� car was secured onto the bed properly even with how low his car is! He was very kind and respectful as well! We ve always had great experiences with Axle and Spindle but today definitely topped all of our expectations! Thank you Norman with Axle & Spindle! Have a happy holidays!

Norman on truck number 6 is the best! He really went above and beyond to help me out of a jam! It was the end of a long week and no one else would have taken the time to get my vehicle to where it needed to go safely. I 1000% recommend using Norman

Norman Truck #6 came and scooped me this morning after my radiator blew. He was able to diagnose my problem for me and give me my tow home. Such a genuine guy and could not ask for better service. Don t hesitate to do business!

I was in need of a tow today from South Windsor back to MA. Norman showed up in truck 6 and helped me out. He was very kind and helped me to get in and out of his truck safely since I m recovering from surgery on both shoulders. He was very polite and thorough in his work. He helped turn what was a bad day better with his personality. I would highly recommend him but I hope I don t need him again soon.

Norman was phenomenal. Everybody else was great, but nobody compares to Norman. I only give 3 stars because the owner is a miserable elderly man who needs to retire. When I get news of his retirement, I'll come back and change this to 5 stars

Axle & Spindle is terrible My car was towed there after being totaled in an accident they would not let me Get my belongings after the Insurance Company told me to go get my belongings because they was going to get the car they gave the Insurance Company a hard time picking it up they told them they did not have a release which I signed before I left there that day they were just trying to rack up the fees terrible place to have your car towed to. They spoke with Insurance Company and told them they couldn't have car til paid for. The insurance company told him don't you think we know that. When insurance company arrived to pick up car they conveniently couldn't find release forms. So much more I could say,but just a rip-off place. Terrible place to have to do business with after a tragedy

Norman Truck #6 is the best tow truck driver I ve ever dealt with in my life and I ve been driving used cars for years and I ve had my fair share of tows. I was stranded in the middle of the highway in the middle of the night with no exits for miles and no way of getting back home. Norman took his time to call me and search the entire highway for over an hour for me. This was above and beyond what is expected of any tow truck driver and O highly recommend to ask for Normans assistance if you ever need a tow. Man restored my faith in humanity again, they re actually good people out there, and he s definitely one of them.

Edit: The employee's from this company are positive reviews! Robert labbe helped me take my plate off my car.Original post: $310 to tow my car from 384 after a car fire? The tow wasn't far. After I paid the bill they said "nobody has ever paid the tow bill for a burn job" they also stole baby diapers from the backseat and a tire pressure gauge from the passenger door pocket between late Saturday night to Monday afternoon. The receptionist was exceptionally rude over the phone, had the personality of a rattle snake. I got AAA because of this experience. Without AAA I can't dispute my experience and I'll have to bring this company to a courthouse to resolve my dissatisfaction.

I needed my vehicle towed to my home and after putting a tow request through AAA I received a call from Norman at axle and spindle. He immediately introduced himself and informed me that he will be handling my tow. He verified where my vehicle was located, and gathered some necessary information which I really appreciated. My vehicle was tricky to load on the truck bed d/t the location of the vehicle but that did not stop Norman. He manually pushed my vehicle and after lots of elbow grease he got it loaded and towed to my home. He even took the time to answer some questions I had and made sure my vehicle was placed right where I wanted it. He was friendly, professional, and very knowledgeable. He truly went the extra mile and from his hat (he was wearing a veterans hat) it seems like going the extra mile is in his blood! Thanks Norman. Hope I DON T need a tow again but if I do I hope to get you again!Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Axle and Spindle came to our rescue when my GFs car broke down. The operator/ owner is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. 5 star service with a friendly smile. THE BEST!!!

They couldn't even get something as simple as emissions testing done, saying there was an issue connecting with the vehicle. After proving there was no problem connecting to the car, he continued to argue that nothing was wrong on their end. Went 2 mins down the road to Jay's Auto and passed no issue. Seems like the guy didn't want to do his job.
