Outstanding garage!! The owner went above and beyond to help me with my car problem! He is honest and kind! I highly recommend this garage for your service needs!!I'm giving him MORE! He just saved me money AGAIN!! If you're not going to Joe's garage.... Then your getting ripped off!!Thx again Joe!!

% recommend this place!A few years ago, Joe fixed my power steering issue for way less than the dealership quoted. Joe doesn t fix what isn t broken, and he fixes what actually *is* broken in a timely, friendly, and cost-effective manner.I went back to him this week with a broken power window. When the problem turned out to be easily solved, he didn t charge me a dime. I wouldn t have known if it took him 5 min or 5 hours to fix! He is honest and fair, and I ll come back here again and again.I can t recommend Paul s Depot Garage highly enough. Thank you Joe!Services: Auto power window repair, Steering & suspension repair

I had Paul's recommended to me when my check engine light came on and my car began to make weird sounds. This was my first time needing car repairs since moving to Hartford. They were fabulous! Joe was able to diagnose the problem and fix it in two days, and he even took the time to show me the old part and what was wrong with it to educate me. As a young woman on her own for the first time, I appreciate learning as much as I can about these things! My total was also less than he estimated, and he told me that was because he tried to do it as cheaply as possible, which I really appreciate as a broke graduate student. I also got the cheapest oil change I've ever had! I will 100% be bringing my car back here when I next need maintenance.Services: Engine repair, Oil change

Joe and his crew are phenomenal. These guys are honest, efficient , and reliable. They are communicative, explain things in simple terms, and are very polite and kind to their customers. We've had them repair a few of our vehicles, and from our immediate family as well, and the guys at Paul's Depot are perfect every time. Highly recommended.

Joe is the best. This is the one place I completely trust with my car. They're knowledgeable, thorough, and honest. I know they'll do the best job they can, let me know any issues that come up, and charge me no more than necessary to get it done. I tell EVERYONE to bring their car here!

The best car repair shop I know of- fast, knowledgeable and honest. First time I went there my trunk couldn't close, and the owner took a couple looks and made some maneuvers and that was that! It took 5 minutes. Second time, they were able to recognize the repairs in less than 2hrs after drop off and took some time to tell me in detail the issues even though I had to go to a dealership to get everything repaired. Third time, I called first about my blinker. They said they'd take a look at it and that it may take up to 45mins. I drove in, the owner came out after a brief summary, popped the hood and twisted in a new bulb. I was charged a whopping $5 and it took 5 mins. Absolutely nothing bad to say about this place, highly recommended!

The owner Joe is very honest and fair. I brought my car in to get my brakes fixed and he only changed the rear brakes because the front had over 50% life left.

Joe is the best!! My husband and I take our cars and my husband's work van there. We have been taking our vehicles to Joe for 10 plus years. They are friendly, knowledgeable, reasonable, etc. I could go on and on but I will just say I trust them 100%. I am always recommending this business to friends or anyone on any of the many social network sites looking for a good garage. Joe and staff, we truly appreciate your skills and the kind way you do business!!

I recently moved back to the east coast and did not have a mechanic in mind to help me with my flat tire. My plumber Mark recommended Paul's Depot Garage on Capital Ave. Fernando and Joe were so accommodating and helpful. They went above and beyond and surpassed the level of satisfaction with my flat tire situation. I cannot be more grateful to these guys. Not only were they extremely personable and friendly, but they put my spare tire on within minutes and recommended I get a new tire to replace the spare I had in the trunk. I appreciate their honesty and quick help. I HIGHLY reccomend Paul's Depot Garage! I will be getting my car fixed for any repairs/maintenance from here on out!

There is a reason why this garage is so highly rated. In my situation, I was attempting to buy a used F150 from a dealer about a mile from this garage but I live and work near New York City and needed the truck inspected before I could afford to make the trip north to see the truck for myself. I asked the dealer to drop the car off with Joe (the owner of the garage) which they kindly did for me with too much hassle. Joe inspected the vehicle free and based on his analysis, we decided that this was not the right truck for us. Joe did this free of charge even though I offered several times to pay for it. His honesty was clear from the start.

I absolutely love this place. There's a lot of stories about mechanics but Paul's was recommended by a friend who also had a great experience so I decided to go to them. All of the staff is amazing but Joe really is the best, most involved owner. I trust him 100%. He's helped me out with minor things free of charge and always talks to me about anything that might be a big repair. I recently had an accident and even though my car isn't even at his garage anymore, he's been involved the whole time, making sure I get the right help. Seriously recommend them.

Paul's Depot Garage has been widely touted as the place to go for your auto needs here in the West End of Hartford. Even Monro down the street refers customers to Joe and Co. I had to see if the folklore was true. It definitely is. I brought my Camry in for an oil change and a few other issues. The garage looks like a run down 60's style gas station with cars strewn about, but in a seemingly organized fashion.Along the wall were photos of a gleaming shop's hey day,awards and certificates framed in no particular order, and keys. There was a key for every color on Joseph's Technicolor Jacket. But they had a system.It was a hot summer day and every door was wide open. The bay doors, the shop doors, the front door. To me this was a symbol of total transparency. Definitely my kind of place. You could see the mechanics toiling and working together on issues. And there was Joe, in the thick of it all. A super sweet, no nonsense guy. He quoted me a flex pipe, fixed my windshield wiper fluid issue, and did the oil change - all for about $30. He even showed me what exactly he was going to do with the flex pipe and why it failed. Honesty, transparency, and education. It was all there. This will be my garage for many years to come.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Great experience. He went above and beyond and the price was very fair. I lived nearby but my car wasn't starting and they came out to jump my car. It was going to take an hour and they offered me a rides to and from the shop. Just a really great experience, I will definitely continue to use and recommend to anyone!!

I got 2 cars checked out by them as pre-purchase inspections. They checked the cars out for very little though they knew I would not be a consistent customer since I dont live in the area. I would definitely recommend them to a friend as they are honest and polite as well as good mechanics. If I lived in the area I would use them myself.

I went in because my jeep was having trouble shifting gears in the cold. Joe and the guys looked at it for 4 hours, and concluded there wasnt anything to fix...I tried to pay them for their time over and over again but they insisted they wouldnt accept it. They are so genuine and really care about you and your car instead of just making a buck! Highly recommend! Can't recommend enough!

Im new to Hartford, so I was really taking a chance bringing my car here. It was a Sunday evening and they allowed me to park my car overnight and simply write down the issues I was having with my car. They called me first thing in the morning and told me the work that had to be done. I picked my car up that evening and they only charged me for the parts and not labor. They even stayed after closing hours because I got off work late. I will definitely be coming back! Great service and great work!

For me, the proud owner of three cars over 10 years old, Joe is a godsend! He treats my cars as they were his own, keeping them in good shape, but not wasting money on things that don't really need to be done.

Joe was a cool guy, I went there with an 07 Cobalt he found the problem and didn t even charge me for the diagnosis , on top of that my dad had a dead battery in his 03 Electra and Joe recharged it with no cost, will definitely come to Joe with any of my vehicle s problems.
