Great place, John s awesome. I called him up around 9am Monday morning after an unsuccessful visit to a different garage and he was able to squeeze me in at 9:30 thanks to a someone who canceled on him. After a few days I can say I m very impressed with the way my car runs and I m really glad I chose this place to get the work done.

I scheduled an appointment for an oil change for 8 am. Upon arrival the owner told me I would have to wait 3 hours. I asked why he booked me an appointment if he didn't have room and he smirked at me and said he could take me tomorrow at the same time. I called a little later to let him know I was going to cancel it and he said "I don't make money off oil changes anyway." As I tried to continue talking he hung up on me. Do not go here

Unfortunately, my alternator was kaput. My serpentine belt was shot. They replaced both promptly. The staff were courteous. No mansplaining! The cost was lower than other local shops' estimates. I highly recommend this Meineke!

Awful .. when your future mechanic starts with Price before diagnosis - that s called Malpractice.Yes car needed a lot to be done and the younger JOHN ( they all call them selves John) was pleasant when I first visited and gave me the certainty and confidence that he was going to look after me !Next day car dropped off and enter the second elder John I think the second older John interpreted that as we will maximize what we can extract from you.It gets even better, I am a busy hustler so I called and requested I want to pass by later and pay by card after diagnosis was done,Younger pleasant John said no worries, you can even just call and I will take payment over the phone as long as you call before 4pm.3.45pm I called 6 times and phone was not answered. Case closed. Try tomorrow.Next day, 12 pm I call to make payment over the phone as suggested by younger John,However younger John tells me card processing Machine is down, we can t take payments over the phone . I am unable to drive to Garage before 4pm closing time so I request to come and sort it out in person early morning.8.30am voice note from big John.. Hey Phill, your bill is now $550 plus tax. It s gone up $50 because you didn t pick car up!!!!Please remember, they couldn t take payment over the phone that s why I hadn t sent for pickup.Okay I was a little Amused and quite surprised,. I cut short all sales meetings to go and meet busy money hungry no customer care focus John about $50 extra charge!I was ready for a real verbal assault and thank God I was also dangerously calm.Long story short, he didnt charge the $50, I paid in person and got car partially repaired back.Ps: I needed this car for business yes and therefore had budgeted for all works however John gave me another option out of principle .I will not support BAD CLIENT EXPERIENCE businesses regardless.And yes I am towing it to another auto repair shop and yes it might cost me a-little more but I will pay.

Make sure you get the quote in writing. I was told our break work was going to be $950, but they ended up charging $1650 without checking with us. Beware GET EVERTING IN WRITING.

John, the co-owner was wonderful. He explained what was going on with my car without being condescending and fixed it for the price he quoted. You can't ask for much more than that from a car repair shop.

The service I received was outstanding! The mechanics there was very welcoming and friendly. He informed me on what I needed for my vehicle and answer any questions I may have. I am very satisfied and pleased with the service and I highly recommend them to anyone who may need work done on their vehicle. I absolutely love the service I get here. The owner is fabulous and always helps me. We have a great rapport and when I call or drop my car off he always gets it done in a timely manner way faster than I expected and always at a reasonable time frame. I have literally basically had my whole car redone here, and at this point when I call and say it's the girl with the scion he knows right away it's me. He treats everyone like family, with respect and courtesy. The people in the shop as well are fabulous and always get the work done without problems. After my fiance had passed away (who was a mechanic) I had a hard time finding another mechanic that I trust and I can honestly say that I would not bring my car anywhere else. I trust them to do their jobs and do them well and every time I get treated like top priority. Definitely recommend them.

I was very pleased with timeliness of services rendered 3/13/23 and 3/14/23. I hit a curb hard and developed a flat tire (blowout) the night before, and, needed to have my car towed from a garage to Meineke the next morning. I hoped that John and John Jr. would evaluate and resolve the issue within a day or two, but, I was very pleasantly surprised that they could get to it right away, first thing that morning.As it turned out, upon close inspection, it was determined that I really needed two tires and a new enabler arm as the original one was bent when I sustained the flat tire. As always John and his son were very thorough making sure to leave no stone unturned. The vehicle had a two tire alignment, but, it was determined that a full 4 wheel alignment was also needed. The car was brought back to Meineke the next day so that that service could be done, at no extra charge as it turned out. I was very pleased with the thoroughness of service which I had come to expect from Meineke Car Care Center over the years.All in all, I was very happy with the service I was given and with the timeliness of that service. I would recommend Meineke Car Care Center to anyone. Started Saturday with a rusted out engine pipe and muffler worrying about where I could go and what it might cost. A friend recommended Meineke on New Britain. I called John at about 10:30 and by 2pm I was able to pick up a repaired car at a reasonable price. He was transparent about the time and cost up front. Great service!!

I brought my car in for exhaust repair and state inspection and emissions. I knew that it also needed brakes and a few other things fixed to pass. Chris and the team were straightforward and explained everything in detail. They performed the required repairs and had my vehicle ready for pick up just a few hours later. Overall, a great experience. The best part of was their honesty and integrity about the vehicle repairs and not feeling as though they were trying to take my money for things that were not needed. I got a flat tire and my car was towed here. The guys we super flexible, quick, and easy to work with! I didn t feel like I got overcharged or upsold, and my car is as good as new.

Made an appointment for 4pm on a Friday, when they re open until 6. Showed up at 3:45 and the Open sign was blinking in the window but the whole place was locked and closed.There has been no acknowledgment of the appointment I booked besides the originally auto generated email and the response to my review was generic and insincere.

Just like the string of other reviews I am reading I just showed up for my scheduled appointment, was ignored for 20 minutes. Finally flagged one of the mechanics down and he came over and told me he was closed and that he doesn't accept online appointments from their website. He couldn't have cared less about it either. Told me to come back tomorrow. No chance I will ever return there.

Drove in, intending to do auto emissions test. On line indicates , in fact right here on Google, auto emissions is done here. Sign in window on paper written note, we do not do auto emissions here. Not at all happy coming over to Meineke to o read on the hand written sign, NOPE. Frustrated, won t be back. Went searching for another auto emissions place. Not far is Midas on New Britain Avenue and they did the car immediately with no problems. Will return to Midas. Do Not Go to Meineke.

My husband needed a change of breaks. The you g man inspected the rotors and suggested to have them changed as well. It went very fast and they answered all of our questions and had an invoice ready. This place told me my brakes were soon due to be done since I was coming up on 90,000 miles. They said the pads are very thin. Little did they know when I bought it used a few months prior the dealer included new brakes. I followed up with a Kia dealership and they said yes it has all new brakes. So this location is clearly dishonest when they suspect a customer won't know about their own car.Service: General repairs & maintenance

I love getting my car repaired here. Once I get my car fixed, it's fixed. I don't need to revisit for the same problem. Before I met John, the owner, I went to Hartford Toyota about a curious noise coming from my wheels. They told me I needed new tires, so I bought new tires but the noise continued. Didn't have the time to schedule another appointment with Hartford Toyota so I dropped in at Meineke which was close to where I lived. He checked the wheels and discovered that I needed brakes, not tires! He was right. The noise went away after he was finished. I can not recommend John more highly. We were in a serious bind, on a road trip and the engine blew up in my 1984 school bus, we ended up having to go through the warranty process and John was incredibly patient and communicative, following up on getting the new engine shipped to the shop and having it installed. 100% recommend his shop, they re amazing guys.Service: Engine repair

I called so I can have my vehicle inspected for a noise. I was able to drop my vehicle off. The owner was able to diagnose the issue and complete some other work in a moments notice. He provided me with excellent customer service and the vehicle was repaired the same day. I am definitely coming back for future repairs.Service: Oil changeService: Oil change
