Me and people from my family have purchased three cars from Dan. The first car I bought from him I put many miles on with no issues, it lasted a long time with nothing but oil changes until I was unfortunately hit and ran. After that I went right back to Dan and he hooked me up with a good deal on a different car. Unfortunately I got unlucky and after some months driving it the head gasket failed and blew the engine. It was pure bad luck but my car was freshly out of warranty so I should have been out a whole lot of money. Dan despite this went above and beyond and replaced my entire engine for me for almost no cost at all. He did this to be a good person and was no longer legally responsible for the car. Dan is a great person who goes above and beyond to make the customer happy. I couldn t recommend him more.

I bought a car here back in May and in the first few weeks the car almost caught on fire. I had it in park but still on and the gauges on the dash went crazy and smoke was pouring out from under the hood. I had the car towed back to them as it was still under warranty and they said it was the starter (every mechanic I ve spoken to since said that the starter would NOT be the cause of those issues) they did replace the starter and ever since the car made strange grinding noises while in park or neutral. Recently the car did it again. I pulled up outside my kids school put the car in park and decided to let it run a minute for the heat then I would turn it off. Again the gauges start going crazy and smoke is pouring out from under the hood. I wait about 15-20 minutes and try to start it and it starts up and I bring the car home. Next morning it won t start and it s currently at a different mechanic getting a check out. When I explained what this dealer said was wrong with the car the first time they said weird diagnosis but ok . Add onto that the fact that my drivers side window almost immediately broke (came unglued from the clips) and the fact that the car wasn t even ready for days after I put my down payment on it (according to them they were cleaning it and what not but when I got the car finally there was old stale half eaten potato chips and belongings from the previous owner still in the car) I wouldn t recommend this dealer to anyone!Update :::: the car needs a new alternator, starter, and battery. Going to cost me 1120!!

I have been using Dan's auto for many many years and the team there is exceptional. First and foremost, they are honest every step of the way in their support of your needs. I have purchased cars through them and also had maintenance completed through them. They are also VW gurus and can help identify problems before they begin as well as address the right problems when there is an issue and not just upsell parts and services like a dealer might. They are my first call if an issue comes up and I wouldn't hesitate to buy another vehicle through them.

I got my brakes and rotors done the end of 12/2022 from Dan's Auto. It hasn't been a full 5 months and they are making noise again. I reached out to Dan and he advised me to bring the vehicle down so he can take another look. I complied and dropped my vehicle off. After a few hours I received a call from Dan that my vehicle was ready for pick up. When I got there he advised me they cleaned the brakes and rotors up. I thought to myself "why not replace them if it's been less than 6 months". Also, when I left there from picking my vehicle up they were still making the same noise as when I brought it to them. I wasted over $850.00 on brakes, rotors and labor. I will never bring my vehicle to Dan' s Auto again. Also, they couldn't provide me with the receipt for the parts I purchased. My advice to everyone is make sure you watch them when they're servicing your vehicle.Service: Brakes

Tucked behind all the shiny new car dealers, Dans sit selling used cars and repairing cars. Dont be fooled by the appearance, they are honest, reliable and sell quality used cars. I found them after searching for months for a good used car for my daughter. The car they sold her was fantastic. Brian and his dad went out of their way to take care of her and make sure she got everything she wanted in that. My other daughter needed to get a car as she headed out to the we at coast and we just bought our 2nd one for her.They will sell you a good car for a very fair price and your can be sure you are walking out of there with a fantastic deal.

I can't say enough about my experience with Dans Auto sales and repairs. I did my homework and spent a couple months reading reviews on where to buy a good reliable used car. With time and patience I was lucky enough to find Dans Auto Sales and Repair. I knew I wanted a Volkswagen and saw that he's sells quite a few of them. After test driving a couple cars which were both great I found this bright red 2012 jetta to be the one for me. It was extremely well maintained inside and out, just a damn good car. His kindness and personality sold me before the car did. He was everything I read about in reviews and then some. If you're looking for value, reliability, and overall kindness he's someone I would highly recommend. 5 's up. Thank you Dan. D, DiBrino.

I went to two other shops prior to trying out Dan's. Both of the shops tried to rip me off. Dan's Auto was honest and helped me understand the issue with my vehicle. Went to Dan's a few years ago based on the recommendation of a trusted friend. Bought a used car there and Dan was great; helpful beyond the norm. The cars on his lot were all clean and in good repair. I have been recommending him ever since to everyone I know who's in the market for a used car.

Absolutely the best car buying experience I've ever had. I saw a 2002 Volvo with low mileage on one of the car shopping sites online and after looking at reviews I decide to go and check the car out. After a test drive I told them I wanted the car. Dan then told me He wanted to do the front brakes because they were a bit thin and wanted to sell me a safe car. He also said He was going to have the bumpers painted because the previous owner had painted them and they looked like **** and a scuff on one of the doors too. He wanted the car to look good. No extra charge for this work. And it has a 30 day 1500 mi warranty! I picked up the car today and it looks great all the paper work was ready for me to sign and I was out the door in less then 30 minuets! As I see it now all the good reviews I read are right by me.

I bought a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT from Dans auto sales and repair. The car was fully loaded and fell in love with it, especially the heated leather seats and 4 panel panoramic sunroof. I've had the car for about 3 months now and couldn't be more happier and no problems. Dan and the mechanics were very honest . I would definitely buy another car from them. Thank you very much and keep up the good work Dan.

Best experience in car buying I have ever had! Purchased my first Scion xa car was very well maintained in excellent condition and good on price !! I can't say enough how wonderful the salesman I was working with Dan and Bryan ! Very honestThey made me feel welcomed, never pressured me and answered all our questions.It's nice to know that there's still good dealers out there! They had a great selection of vehicles,very well maintainedI couldn't be happier! Will always recommend this place to all our friends and family !!!Thanks again guys

Dan and Raquel were awesome. Dan laughed at me when I said I'd take care of him. Told me to come down. Removed and replaced my front drive shaft within the hour they started on it. Raquel showed me the part one, where the play was, and test drove it to make sure it was good. Since I had the part they only charged me for the labor $75. And yes, I did take care of him for pricing the labor right. I'm definitely going back for any other car problems.

Very good experience with this shop. Was in the market for a used car and found one I wanted to look at. I called and set up an appointment to come check it out. All went very smoothly and Brian was very helpful. We went for a test drive and got a good feel for the car. He also told me the good as well as the bad about the car and was very honest. The car still needed some work which they said they would get done as soon as possible AND before they sold me the car. I was also told they would make sure the car was safe to drive home (ie, brakes, emissions, etc...). Overall was a great experience and I would definitely recommend going to check out what they have to offer.

If I could give Dan s 100 stars I would. Here s why:I had been trying to sell my 2012 Honda Accord for over a year. I was in an upside-down loan for a long time after realizing I got myself into a mess when buying that car. I went from dealer to dealer... even tried private sale a thousand times. Dead end every time. I finally was able to put a pretty good payment down and clear most of the debt, but it was still a little above trade in value.I was on the search for a cheaper car to build my credit and was specifically looking for a manual Honda Civic. Dan had just the car I desired. I contacted him and told him my situation and how desperarate I was to downsize. He explained he doesn t normally get into that sort of exchange considering the car was still being financed, but he took a chance on me. It took weeks for me to figure out my finances and he was patient and let me hold the car with a small deposit.Meanwhile, before I even paid for the Civic, he heard all of my concerns regarding the cars service needs and went above and beyond to make sure that the car was ready to go. This is what stood out to me the most about his character. He took it upon himself to find more and more to put into it to make sure that it beat my expectations. And he sure did.There was no pressure to buy his vehicle-in fact he even tried to make sure I thought I was making the right decision. On top of that, he paid off my Accord despite the odds stacked against me. His son assisted with the test drive, as I m new to standard cars. Nothing but patient, kind, and honest people. You can tell they are a good family. Thank you Dan and everyone who made this experience painless. It has been the first good thing to happen in a long time for me and I am ever so grateful. I will not hesitate to bring my civic to Dan s (an hour away) for any maintenance it might need! They deserve to be recognized. Don t go anywhere else!

Dan's Auto Sales & Repair is the best repair shop in this part of the state. Dan is very honest, and as a woman, I feel extremely comfortable knowing he is not going to rip me off. The mechanics there are excellent and friendly. This is the only place I trust to repair my vehicle when the need is there. Excellent!!

In a pinch from unforeseen circumstances, Dan's Auto Sales & Repair stepped in and saved the day with courteous service. We are from Pennsylvania, and was in town to pick up a vehicle and leave. However, our hauling trailer had two big hiccups, and Dan's did us the honor of repairs immediately. Love this place and will recommend them to everyone. Very generous staff.

I can't say enough about Dan's Auto Sales. These guys are the best. I bought my car here (2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT) and couldn't be happier with it. The car runs great. They answered all my questions and really made this a hassle free buying experience.I almost never write reviews and even more rarely do I write positive reviews, but I would recommend Dan's Auto Sales to any of my friends or family.

I bought my first car here (a 2008 Chevy Trailblazer) at the age of 18. I knew nothing about cars and just found something I liked and ended up getting taken advantage of and screwed over terribly by this place. I wont deny that I could have prevented it by doing more research but that doesn t change the fact that they clearly saw someone who knew nothing about cars and decided to get as much money as they could out of the car. After everything I m paying $11000 for a car that s only worth around $5000. And I understand that most places have to put work into their vehicles before selling them but this place clearly did not even though they said they did. My spare tire was completely stuck under my car, rusted so bad there was no way it was coming down without breaking it. Which is something that definitely should have been checked over at least for safety reasons. Then I was told they put all season tires on my car, and after driving on them for 9 months I realize they were winter tires. So I d been driving on winter tires through the whole summer which can be very dangerous! They also told me they did emissions and that I d be good for 2 years however I got a notice saying my emissions was due 9 months after the date I got the car. Which isn t a big issue except for the fact that a couple months after getting the car I end up having a large evap leak that I now needed to get fixed before my surprise emissions. I talked to Dan and explained all the issues I had hoping he d be willing to help with some of them. He basically told me that he put in too much work on the car before he sold it to be and that he wasn t going to put in any more. When I explained about the tires he told me that he did put all seasons on. So I told him the tire clearly has a winter only symbol on it and even firestone told me they were winter tires. So then he proceeds to tell me that if I d been driving on winters all summer and haven t had issues then I should continue to just drive on them. Which as I said above, can be very dangerous and is just a waste of money for me. And at the end of our conversation I was about to tell him thank you for his time and that I d keep in touch if I had further questions and before I could finish talking he hung up on me. So clearly he does not care about the well being of his customers and just wants as much money as he can get. My whole experience with Dans Auto has been lies upon lies. All he wants is money and is willing to take advantage and over price his customers. I regret EVER buying a car from him and I will NEVER go here again.

This is a good place to buy a second car for the family to use.They have a very good selection of quality cars such as Honda and Volkswagen.The prices are fair and the service is excellent. I have purchased one car so far and would not hesitate to purchase a second car.

I trust Dan for all my car repairs, Bill Clinton was in office since I trusted anyone else for repairs. Brought my Mercedes here and was very skeptical as to their ability to do quality work because the place looks like it's a mess.I was wrong to be skeptical.They replaced the tie rods and ball joints in the car for less than 1/2 the price of other places... and the results were no less than SUPERB. It was accomplished in less than a day.This place will have my business as long as they're open. Very knowledgeable AND honest.

Outstanding the service and attention to detail and pride I see taken in their work and crafts is far better then your luxury car companies service. I would highly recommend especially if you want to get done what needs to get done versus what you're being told has to get done when you need somebody looking out for your best interests call Dan's Auto Sales & repairs there is no other choice

Changing my prior review as I have been informed the repairs that were needed to the truck were not forseeable - Still not happy but dont blame Dans.Paid TOP DOLLAR for a 2005 Dodge Dakota truck only to have to pay $2500 in repairs 2 months after purchasing it!!! Shady!

My partner and I were stranded with a dead alternator and we called here for help. They picked my partner up and dropped them off and provided above and beyond customer service.I would highly recommend this shop to anyone and everyone!
