Absolutely horrible and careless operators. They conducted a recovery across the street from our complex and needlessly drove on our lawn. I watched the whole thing happen. They were contacted about repairing the damage they caused and said that it was on the owner of the stuck vehicle. The stuck vehicle was across the street 100 yards off the road. No reason for them to rip up our grass. They said it s not their problem. Reckless and unprofessional! Avoid at all costs!!

The receptionist, Rachel was very helpful. She made my experience a lot less stressful. She was able to get me a ride to another location and stop at an ATM to pay the fees. I would definitely use these people again.

Why 5 stars because they tow my Truck from side of the road .We called another Wrecker and they couldn t move truck so these guys know what they re doing.Also Police call the towing it was in the 1:00AM so service over the night on Police call comes with price ,So there is no reason for me to complain about that.

Tow truck driver almost rear-ended me and then proceeded to drive around me and go through a red light. Wouldn't trust them to tow anything

NEGATIVE Stars are too many. Everyone understands 'policy'. However, when a company has a choice to use empathy, compassion and common sense to release contents so people can have their keys and personal property, so they don't have to break into their own house etc. This company by FAR is the worst, evil, uncaring, un-American, rude, probably not human. If you are ever in an accident be SURE to tell the cops NOT to tow your car to this Sick place. This has nothing to do with their fees. . .that's another issue.

Very slow and bad service. They take for ever for a single process. They ask you to sign a document but do not provide a pen, the pens should be available on that window.

Wow! Where s the sympathy and understanding qualities in their customer service! The female manager Leslie was very rude and raised her voice on the phone yelling at me when I m trying to explain to her that the insurance company contacted them and the adjuster came out last week to inspect the car on their site. I highly recommend that the manger take another look at how she can improve her customer service skills when dealing with a customer that received mislead information. She can at least say I m sorry that you were mislead by your insurance company and kindly give them another call instead of snapping, raising her voice. She owe me a huge apology.

Experience and longevity says and shows a lot about a company such as Central Auto and transport!! At least it does from my point of view in perspective and experience with these guys!, I've used them in multiple different aspects and they always came through and always did a great job! Definitely look them up next time you need pretty much anything moved across the country or a toll around town or dump truck or etc..!

If I could rate negative I definitely would!! Let me just say these people are crooks and the lady upfront Rachel was very rude. I was explaining to her what was told to my family on Sunday when we called into inquire about the vehicle and she was saying oh that s the price and it s not going to change. She then got the manager Matt and he was just as rude. I feel bad for Rob Greco the business owner I don t think he knows what unprofessional staff he has. Rachel and the manager Matt need to humble themselves life is too short to act so miserable and nasty!!

I am rating them a 1 only because I can not rate them lower. The state police had this company tow my car after it was stolen and then crashed. When talking to them on the phone the lady was rude and treated me as if I were the criminal. When we finally got to the point where we were trying to sign the release to to collect our possessions they told me I would have to pay them $50 cash for them to come out. Waited at their facility in Ashford for 1.5 hours and they didn't even bother to show up.

Car was sent to this business by State police and over the course of 2 days the price for the Tow changed 3 different times, was told my car was in Hartford and quoted an accurate fee for the tow to Hartford, went to pick up my car and it wasn't in Hartford it was in fact in Ashford which is much closer to my home. I had to drive from Hartford back to Ashford and then was charged more that they told me at the main office in Hartford. All in all a nightmare. How was my car in Hartford and then moved without consent or notification. I feel like they can't be trusted!

Horrible place, misleading information, Especial Darcy whom treats people like they're inferior to her and over charges people in cash.... Bc she seems to be pocketing extra money on the side. Be careful very sketchy

Horrible. New Britain, Ct Police dept towed my car by central auto due to an insurance lapse. Im a disabled, homeless veteran with Multiple Sclerosis. Im living in a shelter for Veterans called Veterans inc. I called central towing and spoke with "Kyle" to try to explain that I need help because being disabled leaves me with scraps as income for the month. While I was explaining myself to kyle he cut me off and told me in a stern manner that the price is what it is and he cant change it. I begged him and he basically said to beat it and he cant help me. I cant believe I fought for this country. I could've been dead for it and this is how im repayed. Homeless, Disabled, and Alone. And nobody seems to care. All i wanted was a hand, not a handout. But instead I was made to feel worthless and unimportant. Basically they have zero sympathy and only care about is $$$ (im sure they believe in Jesus Christ too...)

I am a tractor trailer driver for a major moving company. Sadly I broke down yesterday August 7th. It sucks to be broken down, however we were lucky enough to meet with Bryan from Central Towing yesterday. He was dispatched with the tall order of towing my 53-foot trailer and Penski Sleeper Tractor. I must say that he was a true professional from start to finish. He was able to figure out a way to get the job done. This was not an easy job. I had a older trailer that I was using as a favor to complete jobs for my operations manager. Bryan took everything in stride. He safely got me and my son to the Penski dealership that was over an hour away. He was kind enough to provide my 9 year old son with a signed magazine that featured his truck on it. I am getting it framed for my son. He is in love with tow trucks. Bryan was knowledgeable and was great company. He made the breakdown pleasant. I am glad that I met him last night. If you break down in CT and need a tow, call Central Towing. Thank you again for making this easy for Mason and I.

My boyfriend's truck got towed and it was by Central Towing. They proceeded to steal over 5000 dollars of tools out of it. They are nothing but crooks. If you care about anything you have DO NOT USE THESE THIEVES.

Terrible experience and zero customer service. Bought a used car and it was damaged by this company during transport. Both the driver, Edgar, and manager, Rick, refused to acknowledge the damage and the manager was especially unprofessional. My advice: take your business elsewhere.

I am behind thia central towing truck on a friday night at 540pm on 5 and 15 .The Tow truck is going 75 miles an hour going in and out of traffic not using a blincker and swerving .Did i say he was towing a car? The car he was towing had NO lights on it or ANYTHING .I thought the driver was drunk. It was completly unprofessional and incompetent and i would never ever let them touch my car .

Bunch of Thieves. Most people at customer service should treat you with respect end of the listing you going to get their respect as a customer no matter whether you got your car got towed by the police are you calling for a tow hook no good

A Hartford-designated police towing service and auto storage business, staff were friendly. But took three hours from initial arrival to retrieve stolen vehicle and leave. Numerous errors such as charging us for the additional three hours while we waited for them. Standard 'mechanic and storage rate' posted on wall improperly filled out. Car stored in a 'lot' consisting of sand and tar. Car needed hundreds of dollars post recovery for combination of damage from theft and recovery.

Central Auto and Transport is a Excellent Buisness to utilize if and when your vehicle is in need of recovery. We have a Incredible shop with up to date facilities to repair any and all tractor trailer needs. Robert Greco is the owner and is a Extremely well respected individual inside and outside the workplace with a beautiful heart and is always supportive of his staff.Robert Greco and the Greco Family are a Incredible team to work along side, thank you for the opportunity to leave this review in support of my work family.

Nastiest people I ever encountered. The woman even wanted to throw us off the lot for having an opinion that she didn't like. She went as far as slamming the door our faces. Wish I could give negative stars.

I when there for a leaking wheel seal on my 99 peterbilt and the guy there gave me a price of 700Dollar that is crazy 700 for a wheel seal....there are a bunch of crooks that is a shame they trying to steal from a one truck owner operator like my self ...people don't go.. there a bunch crooks in there.

Failed to remove trespassing vehicles from property. Told me police said they weren't allowed. The very same police officer on scene told me that was a lie. If it was too much hassle for you just be straight up don't make up stories.

I called for a tow estimate from mass and they gave me a good estimate. When I called later to set the appointment they told me it was out of the service area. Terrible customer service. Avoid them at all costs.
