The team at Carmax is always top notch. That's why I've bought my last four cars here! Where else can you buy a car with a 30-day trial? Many newer cars still have manufacturer's warranty. Good company, with a great selection of cars.

My experience with CarMax was top notch from beginning to end. Ryan our salesman was patient, knowledgeable, and most importantly not at all pushy. Although we had a glitch at pick up CarMax stepped in and accommodated us in a timely and proficient manner, going above and beyond to allow me to drive away with my car that evening. I love my car and am so grateful to the entire staff at the Hartford CarMax showroom who from beginning to end made this a smooth and easy experience. I never knew buying a car could be so easy!! Process was very easy. I liked that the salesperson did not pressure me at all. Able to take car for a test drive without salesperson in the car with me. I took off one star because car was not cleaned before I picked it up. It was just as filthy as it was on the car lot.

1.5 hours to sell a car just can t be beat. everyone was very nice and helpful. we were selling my 78-year-old mom s car because she can t drive anymore. Suzette was patient, kind and efficient and treated my mom so well. we couldn t be more grateful! we got the low end of blue book value for the car but it was worth it to have a hassle-free experience with all that my mom is dealing with right now.

Great experience! Found the vehicle on their website with lots of details, was easy (if a bit pricey) to ship to the local dealer. Great price too. The quoted price was exactly what I paid, no hidden dealer fees is a nice change. The purchase process was very smooth, with a communicative and helpful sales staff and all the paperwork being processed in a single visit. Would definitely work with them again and will recommend!

Awesome car buying experience. Had a vehicle shipped from New Jersey to Hartford to try out. Ryan was an incredible salesman. Went above and beyond to get everything set from test drive and offer for my old car, to walking out with the keys in under 24 hours. Josephine at the business center was amazing with the paperwork. Took under an hour from walking through the door to having everything signed, plates transferred, and driving off the lot. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a used vehicle.

First off- if you re going there to look make an appointment first. They have a HUGE inventory of really good vehicles. I had an absolutely amazing experience and my sales woman Stacey was absolutely amazing!! I d refer everyone to them. Very good no haggle pricing and the team makes the whole process easy. Whenever I need a car, this will be my first and last stop!!!

My son and I had a great experience at the Hartford Carmax. We worked with Amanda and she was simply wonderful. She walked us through the whole process and made it easy and smooth. We had an idea of the car we wanted and we traded a car in. They gave us top value for the trade. We drove out three hours later in a brand new car! By FAR the easiest car buying experience I have ever had. NO pressure, NO haggling. I was interested in test driving two specific cars. One was in-state so they brought it to their location free of charge. The other was a flat fee since it was coming from out of state. They were ready for me to test drive on the day and time we agreed upon, no delay. There are no "dealer fees" here, which is a huge bonus. Plus, no mention of the normal dealer add-on's to get more money out of you, like "another layer of undercoating" or "glass etching" just to name a few examples. My wonderful sales representative (Amanda), mentioned the extended warranty Carmax offers once. After I turned it down, it was never mentioned again (another huge plus for them in my book). They took care of all the DMV paperwork, including registration and places. Amanda also helped to obtain the insurance binder. The entire experience start to finish was pleasant and worry-free.

In my case, time was not a factor...I had transportation all the time. For start to finish, it was about 3 weeks! I selected a car a thousand miles away. Had to pay $599 (un-refundable) to have it shipped to my local CarMax center to test drive. The transport time was nearly 2 weeks. The location update during transit didn't work. Then it arrived on a Thursday....and I couldn't get there until the next Tuesday. I was trading in a older model of the same Honda. Asked and received a 24 hour test drive. I had arranged for a Honda Dealer to do a pre-buy 40 point inspection. Paid $100 for that. They found 2 minor weaknesses in the 3 year old car that was no big deal to me. Returned the next day, Wednesday, worked out the trade-in, transferred my plates for trade-in to new purchase....paid balance due with a personal check (which they carefully checked), the filled the gas up, and I drove it home. I enjoyed working with the various young people at the showroom. Very courteous, pleasant speaking kids. I ended up with just the upgraded vehicle that I was hoping for.

The entire process from looking, test driving, shipping in the car we wanted and purchase was ridiculously painless and transparent. Alexis, our salesperson was enjoyable,professional,0 and again, transparent. No up-sale tactics. We waived the offered CarMax warranty coverage, but my investigation on the warranty product found no flaws, hype or lack of delivery on warranty coverage or service; no bad press whatsoever. I would have opted for the warranty if I did not have a 30 year history with my mechanic. That said, post purchase mechanical inspection of our 2020 Hybrid Ford Escape SEL found nothing but a thumbs up. My next car purchase will be at CarMax.

Not at all happy. Bought a car recently. It was listed as a Nissan rogue SV on the website that had numerous luxury esque features and 3rd row seating. Turns out it was actually just the S model with none of that included. Very disappointing. The other day we get a letter that the insurance our salesman bought for us was being cancelled. We had paid the bill so we called. Turns out the broker it was bought through wasn t accepted and now our insurance is cancelled and we have to go on a hunt for new insurance. Not happy with this as I am unsure if I am getting my original $600 insurance payment refunded. Also when we were leaving with the car our salesman had not used the correct vin when getting our insurance so we had to wait extra long to leave with our car that day. That was no problem when it happened but now with all of the issues I am having as well as the car being listed wrong I will never shop at a carmax ever again and I will warn everyone close to me to be very careful.

Brought an older and well maintained car here for a price evaluation. I was greeted by a friendly staff that didn t leave me hanging around. While the price was disappointing, the salesman gave me good advice as to where I could sell the car myself with price suggestions. Dealership is clean and welcoming.

I will be be brief. In the beginning I got 3 vehicles that were not as described (features for one and the other 2 was poorly maintained). I traded my vehicle and got the run around with getting the payment for the trade. However, the manager Radek stepped up and went above and beyond and made me feel worthy of being a customer. I went from not ever wanting to purchase again, to maybe I'll give them another try.

I came to CarMax after totaling my first car. I had no experience in buying vehicles prior, and had no idea how the process worked. My agent Hendry was phenomenal. He explained everything clearly, and was able to give recommendations that lead me to my new car. He, and all the other staff were incredibly patient as we fought with insurance to get a policy running. Because the insurance was such a pain, we ended up being in the store after their scheduled hours. Everyone on staff made me feel excited for my new car - not once did anyone harp on the fact that we were in the store after closing hours. I can say with 100% certainty that I will be returning the next time I need to go car shopping!

Very long wait time which appeared to be due to short staffing. Then the system crashed, which made the wait longer. However, the staff did their utmost to get our business done despite the problems which were out of their conrol. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful. The company should really try to support their work efforts better.

Great experience with them start to finish. Did the express buy option after shipping car from about 200 miles away. Wish the car was cleaner inside upon arrival but it was acceptable. Great customer service from all departments and the second car I ve bought from the Hartford CT location.

The process was not bad but be sure to do research . The biggest fault is when we check the vehicle it is all rusted under the car. With several issues needing repair. We asked before purchasing if everything was up to date which he assured it was and now brought somewhere else so many issues were found. I Know they said they don t sell flood vehicles but this is a major issue with the rust it s 2 days over 30 days with vehicle and no one is there to help resolve or fix the issues. Sales is MIA. Not good CarMax

Quick, simple and easy service. Never been to Carmax before not to get a tire changed or rotated not to change my oil not to do anything to be quite honest however, this experience today was quite pleasant the receptionist or service professional to be more precise was helpful quick and very informative.The place was clean and very organized. The air smelt like the holidays. 10/10 would recommend!

All sales and financial associates made my purchase so very easy, and I was kept informed of my car's status every step of the process - which was so very helpful and appreciated . However, the service staff, responsible for the 125 point inspection dropped the ball. I was deeply disappointed in the condition/cleanliness of the car upon pick up. Interior smelled badly, melted candy in the back seat, "TUCSON" emblem on the rear of the vehicle had obviously been recently ,reapplied with glue, and the glue was dripping down the bumper and the letters sliding down - a new emblem should have been applied. Shortly after purchase, I got an oil change which resulted in the removal of both very dirty/clogged air filters. Also, no tutorial on the car functions/features was offered. I was very quickly handed the keys and "Congratulated" on my purchase.Sadly, I can't say that I will be a return customer. The service presentation was very poor.

My car buying experience was great this time around. I bought one during covid and communication was awful. I went from test driving to driving home with my new SUV in 4 days. And two were because it was the weekend. My only problem is that two weeks after driving it the trunk had an issue closing which we discovered was a broken part. It took a week and 2 days to get a hold of someone over the phone.

Easy, low pressure experience. I ve avoided dealerships for almost 20 years due to past experiences: salesmen detailing the really important vehicle features (cup holders and mirrors ) or assuming I can t do math and TWICE presenting me with loan papers where the monthly payment didn t align to the purchase price and interest rate we agreed to and they thought I wouldn t notice you get the idea. It was private sale only for me for decades after that. Carmax was a breath of fresh air. I not only bought a car; I went home and bought stock. Yes, really.If you find traditional dealerships scummy, it s a sign of your good judgement. Try Carmax. It s worth a chance.
