Bill s Automotive is the best. They are always kind and friendly to their clients and even have a couple friendly golden retrievers to play with and snuggle if you have to wait for your car. Gus and Duke are the sweetest! Well trained too, so they won t bother you if you aren t a dog person haha.Joe always does a fantastic job taking care of my car in a timely manner. He also makes sure I am aware of any issues he might find along with a timeline of when those things need to be taken care of. I always leave happy with my car much better off then it was when I got there.

I am so happy I went to Bill s to fix my car. I called so many different places and Bill s automotive was clearly the best option. I worked mainly with Doug throughout my experience and he was genuine, honest, transparent, communicative and incredibly timely. They are lucky to have him! But overall, the experience was great. They have gained a loyal customer out of me.

Bill's Automotive is great! I have taken my car there three times now in the last year. They are friendly, reliable and honest! The work they do is outstanding and the work is done when they tell you it will be done. No surprises. They tell you exactly what needs to be done and they do it right. Their estimates are very accurate. Thank you Joe and Doug for all your help this past year. My car runs great now!

Great group of folks down at Bill s. Very informative, and clearly experienced mechanics. Any questions or concerns I had were swiftly answered and eased. No beating around the bush with these guys. They ll let you know what s wrong and will do everything they can to get it right. Been living in CT for years and finally have a go-to shop for any car problems. If any of my friends run into car trouble, Bill s will be the first I recommend.

I have been going to Bills Auto for many years and they are very good at taking care of my problems and situations whether it be tires, front end issues, brakes or just simple fluid exchange maintenance. I make an appointment and they re always prompt and on time. I highly recommend them to friends and family and if it has four wheels they can fix it.

The mechanics at Bill's are honest and transparent. Each time I've had to bring a car in, they explain everything and don't mind if I ask questions. They are kind and have fair pricing.Also, Duke and Gus are the cutest doggos and I would bring my car back just to see them.

Went in already knowing what I needed to get done (Ac previously diagnosed by private mechanic that did not have the proper lift for the job hence why I went to Bill s) and I mentioned this beforehand because I just wanted to know how much the job would cost. Well 1st off they didn t even put my car on a lift to begin with, all they did was a quick visual inspection. Yet they still felt the need to charge me $50.00 just to tell me what I already knew? Doesn t make any sense. Took my business elsewhere for that reason alone. Not only did the next shop not charge me for just confirming what I already knew the problem was, but the job alone cost me way less than what Bill s quoted me . Stay away from greedy shops like these!!!!!!!!

Went to the shop at 7am needing help with a damaged tire. I was helped right away and a new tire was ordered, delivered and on my car asap. They give a discount to healthcare workers and work fast!! Definitely recommend!

Great local shop that I d definitely be back to. These guys had great communication and very reasonable. They were absolutely knowledgeable enough to get the repairs done in a timely manner.

Buyer please, please beware of Bill's Automotive. (I like to leave nice reviews but I felt it necessary to leave this review with the hopes of helping someone to avoid an experience that's less than positive.)This repair shop was excellent until I asked questions about the work they performed after getting a second opinion from another licensed professional mechanic. Stated differently, Joe and Andy were nice until I realized Bill's Automotive made a series of mistakes and asked them intelligent questions about the plethora of performance errors by at least one inexperienced mechanic in their repair shop.In January 2021 Bill's Automotive did a major oil leak repair ($1,700+) but had to redo the job because they allowed an inexperienced mechanic to perform the work.Here's what happened, and why I do not recommend Bill's Automotive.I contacted Bill's Automotive after researching repair shops on Google. Based on the reviews I decided to patronize them. The decision to patronize Bill's Automotive turned out to be the wrong decision.Bill's Automotive repaired my oil leak in January 2021and by March 2021 I noticed there were oil spots under my car so I contact Joe at Bill's Automotive. Joe informed me that the oil was leaking from the bottom of my engine instead of top (they fixed the leak from the top) and that it would cost another $1400+ to perform the repairs. While I am not a mechanic, Joe's explanation seemed illogical to me because, not only was there oil underneath my car, but there was oil seeping from the top of my engine where they performed the repairs. That's when I decided to get a second opinion.I got a second opinion from another certified licensed mechanic. I simply asked him to diagnose my car. For obvious reasons, I did not inform him of my previous experience with Bill's Automotive. The second opinion mechanic gave me the same diagnosis Bill's Automotive gave me in January 2021. How do I know it was the same diagnosis? I know it was the same diagnosis because after I received the diagnosis from the second opinion mechanic I showed him the receipt for the work Bill's Automotive performed. The second opinion mechanic instructed me to contact Bill's Automotive, inform them about the second opinion and ask them to re-do the job they did in January.I contacted Bill's Automotive about their errors. Initially, Joe was dismissive and demeaning until he realized that he was on speaker with me and an expert mechanic. Only after Joe realized that he was speaking with an expert mechanic his demeanor changed. Joe began to speak to me in a professional tone. As it pertains to the oil leak, Joe admitted to their faulty work. Joe said that the person who fixed the oil leak in January was not trained to do that particular job on a foreign car and that the person who performed the rework was newer to his shop and certified to do the rework.As a result of the faulty January job, oil that was leaking from the poor job caused additional problems and I had to pay Bill's Automotive $400+ to do the repairs and the faulty job caused oil to leak into my radiator nearly ruining my engine. (See photo) And they left a tool under my hood after their failed attempt to repair their errors. (See photo)In the end, Bill's Automotive did not fix the errors they caused by improperly repairing my car in January 2021. They got frustrated and, not only insulted me and hung up the phone, but told me to come pick up my car and that they were no longer going to try to fix my car that resulted from their amateur performance. (I ended up going to second opinion mechanic who, corrected their errors by fixing the poor repair performance from Bill's Automotive.)I would never recommend Bill's Automotive to anyone unless they hire skilled labor and become more professional. In my humble opinion, they do patchwork, overcharge and lack professionalism particularly when someone asks intelligent questions about the work they performed.Buyer please, please beware before patronizing this shop.

The team at Bill s was very responsive and kept me abreast of the repairs while I was out of the country. Had the job done by the time I returned and gave a detailed explanation of the work that was done. Told me they wanted to keep an eye on the engine they had just installed and made me feel like I was in good hands. I ve been a customer since moving to Hartford and will continue use them.Service: Engine repair

I ve been using Bill s for my car service for over 17+ years.... They are professional, friendly, and timely. The team kept me in the loop the whole time and was honest about what I needed done and didnt need done... Bill's will always be my go to automotive shop. Thank you Joe and Brian!

I have been using Bill Automotive for over 12 years! They ve always taken great care of us, and the service there is always professional, and friendly. I take my car to them for both small and large jobs. Never disappointed. Do yourself a favor and make Bills Automotive your auto shop of choice! The owners name is Joe, he is a super nice guy and someone you can trust!PS, they work on both foreign and domestic vehicles.

I used to live across the street from Bill's and would bring my car there because it was convenient. After moving a few towns away, I started going to another mechanic. When that one didn't work out, I tried another local mechanic. After several tries, I realized that having gone to Bill's initially was not just convenience, it was a sheer stroke of luck. They genuinely spoiled me with their excellent service, professional demeanor and extensive knowledge. I now go back to Bill's, despite it being about a half-hour drive from my house, and honestly, if I move further away, I will still go to Bill's. Truly, I cannot overstate how solid these guys are. If you're reading this review while deciding if you should call them - stop reading and just call them already!

Amazing customer service! Completely transparent on what needs to be done, shows you image of what they will fix and why it needed to be fixed! It s hard to trust people with your vehicle but Joe made me safe and secure to leave my car there. When I drove away today I could feel the difference in my car. Altogether this is will be a place I will be returning to and recommending others to go to as well. Thanks you !!

We just purchased a used van, and we have trusted Bill s with all our vehicles, and wanted them to be the first to look it over. Doug was excellent! I was without A/C and Bill's got me in right away. Doug clearly explained what they would do and the cost. Once complete he told me clearly what to watch for and to come back if the was any loss of cooling.I was well taken care of, and Doug treated other customers with the same respect and clarity he used with me. I have already recommended Bill's.

Bill s is a great company! I ve been having my truck serviced there for years and they have always given honest pricing and will get work done quickly. The staff is friendly (especially the two golden retrievers Gus and Duke) and always able to concisely walk through what services need to be done. I was overdue for a tune up on my Chevy Malibu and bobs automotive scheduled an appointment for me the very next day! When I dropped off my car at bobs I was greeted by two beautiful golden retrievers and that s when I knew I was at the right spot!!! Dropped off my car at 9 am and got it back at 1-2 pm and it drives incredible!!! I love when I go get my car worked on and you can FEEL it. Thank you so much. I was in desperate need of brakes. The whole works- brakes, rotors, and pads. I inquired with Bill s and they got me scheduled right then and there. The guys at Bill s are awesome. They kept me in the loop, thoroughly explained everything, and gave me a super fair price! Awesome experience and 100% satisfied. I will definitely come back to a Bill s for any future car needs. *totally loved getting greeted by Duke( golden retriever) when I came in. Very friendly! And great to have a conversation with. Brought my car in I thought I had an exhaust leak and they took the car in and sure enough it was. They went out of there way to explain what was wrong with it and how they will be able to fix or replace the damaged part at a very reasonable price. And to think I was about to go to the dealership to get this fixed there!$$$$$ I highly recommend bringing your vehicle there first before you take it anywhere else! I truly highly recommend this place. The owner Joe was very professional and attentive and definitely was very reasonably on prices with car repair. I use go there when it was Midas and even when it was a Midas the service I received before, nothing compares with Bill automotive service way better and better quality of service thank you Joe for getting me back on the road and was not long quick and fast service!Services: General repairs & maintenance, Auto maintenance

Brought the car is for a check engine light that was turning off and on. I work at the hospital so I dropped it off and picked up at the end of the day.They did a full inspection and said nothing needed to be done and they didn't try to sell me anything I did not need. I'm new to the area and needed my Acura truck repaired quickly. I called and was able to have it looked at the very next morning. By 8am I received a diagnosis by noon I received a message that it was ready. The cost was reasonable and the service was phenomenal!They sent me pictures of all the damaged parts as well as the new ones when they were installed and I appreciated that. Sorry some of the things my truck needs I asked was it worth doing and without hesitation I was told " it'd be nothing for me to tell you yes knowing that you'll still need to buy another car within 6 months so you may want to use that towards just burying". I've never encountered such honesty and integrity and they do prepurchase inspections so they've gained a lifelong customer. Thank you Bill's Automotive!Service: General repairs & maintenance
