Great selection of parts. Customer service was fantastic between the guys who helped me out. The store has had a huge turnaround since the new manager and team he brought in/trained. They do need some more work, but overall, I can definitely see this store being very successful with the employees they currently have! Definitely won a customer for life!Also, construction on the building looks good! Now, if only they got the go-ahead to revamp the inside!

The person I spoke to was not very helpful. She sounded frustrated. I was surprised, I always found them to be helpful and friendly. Everyone has an off day though. I will go back to Advanced Auto.

Always ask them to physically go put their hands on the part, put me on hold, or leave me on, or call me back. I'm not driving anywhere to have them say, oh our computer showed we had one. Mine S well order online for pick up.

I purchased a hood gaurd on line and picked it up in the store. I didn't receive a receipt for my order. The hood gaurd did not fit and returned it to the store. I purchased the hood gaurd for $77.00 and was credited $25.00 when I returned it. The manager of the store told me he couldn't help me and to call the 800 number. I didn't want to leave the store without my refund or my hood gaurd. He couldn't give me either one. Just kept letting me he was treated me with respect and there were 3 customers that could prove it. I asked the customers if they would leave the store without there refund or item. No one answered me. One man just kept asking if there was someone else to help them. The manager was the only one. He just kept telling me he knew nothing about the on line purchases and couldn't help me. Why should the customer not get a full refund or a receipt?? Why offer this service if no one in the store can help you ?? I will never return to this store. I will make sure non of my family or friends purchase from this store. And all my Facebook friends from my Camaro clubs will not purchase from this store either!! The worse customer service ever !!!

Never again. Rude manager with no manners or customer service skills. Ordered 2 ignition coils online and picked them up at the East Hartford store at the pickup counter right next to the front door. Turns out the item was not needed. The items were still in the box.. I went to return them and was rudely told NO by the female manager and she walked away. I asked why and she said it's store policy. No returns on electrical parts. I looked at the receipt and it wasn't on there. Then she pointed at a piece of paper near one of the registers that said no returns on electric parts. I walked over to the pick up counter, (about 20 feet away) where I had picked up the parts and said there is no sign at that counter regarding these returns and its not on the receipt either and the items were still in box. She got an attitude and said " well, they're over where the registers are". Again, I said there is no sign here at the pick up counter and the sign at the register can't be seen from the parts counter. She just shrugged and walked away. So now I'm stuck with $400 of new parts. Over the years I have spent well over $22,000 on parts for restoring cars (almost all of it at the East Windsor location since it's closer to me) Goodbye Advanced.youve lost my business for good. Hello O'Reilly.

Customer service was very helpful and there was a lady out side that needed help with her car and the employee came outside and help her for over 30 mins and when I left was still helping her .great experience definitely recommending this location 10 .

Nothing but great things to say. Bought my first car and had quick and friendly help with putting wipers on for the first time. It may seem simple but that s something big to someone like me, The staff was a great help and I could tell it wasn t just because of their job. I can t remember the woman s name but she and Luis were just great I will definitely be returning soon.

Poor customer support. Brought in a starter and their testing machine was not working. I told the man at the counter, that I was not sure that it was the starter. I asked that since the testing machine was not working, if I bought a starter and it didn't solve the problem, could i return it for a refund? He said yes. I installed the starter and it didn't work. I brought in the starter and explained it to the man behind the counter. He suggested that I call the 800 number for help. I did that and waited for approximately twenty minutes until finally Anna on the other end decided that I should have taken the starter to another one of their stores to be tested and I was not refunded my money. For a relatively small price they could have kept a customer happy, but they chose not to.

Extreemly poor customer service, placed online order previous day and walk in the next day, 1st customer in the morning, the manager looked up the order and didn't even check inventory and just said none in stock and canceled the order. I walked over to the shelf and there was at least 10 of the items. Staff member didn't even try to resolve the issue and told me to reorder it online. Took them another 25 min to verify it was ordered again before i could leave the store. This place is a joke. AVOID THIS STORE.

I rarely leave any reviews but I was desperate and a little frustrated over a situation that happened at another store, over being sold a faulty part for my Dodge Avenger. Richie at the East Hartford, CT location, helped me and went above and beyond to make sure the problem was handled.That is what customer service is all about!

ZERO STARS (IF I COULD)========STAY AWAYso I recently bought a battery here. I picked AAPs as they offered free installation. Turns out the 'tech' was installing HIS 3RD BATTERY ON MY CAR. We got it done, car started ok.However, next day out shopping and after coming out to car with purchases------NOTHING, NOT EVEN A CLICK. Got it jumped and drove home and began to troubleshoot. NEG TERMINAL TOTALLY LOOSE. PULLED IT OFF IN MY HAND.AND THE FINAL INSULT IS THAT i'VE LOST MY SETTINGS: RADIO/NAV AND WORST OF ALL MY LIFTGATE WILL NOT OPERATE. now off to spend $200 or so at the dealership to get things reset and operational.ARG!!!!!!!

Ordered online and the info stated most orders are completed in 30min. It's been 4 hours and still not ready. Tried calling and was put on hold for over 15minutes. Wasn't able to fix car today because of this. Disappointing.

I was pretty nervous going into a car place to pick up a part, especially in a very unfamiliar area. Customers seemed more gruff outside than I'm used to. I went in to pick something up, and even though it wasn't upfront, the guy who had just walked in for his shift took me from the line I was waiting in and fixed everything. Answered a bunch of questions and didn't treat me as if I was dumb. Was very helpful and fixed the issue quickly. Left there with my parts and for a cheaper price than I had found elsewhere!

After traveling around CT looking for help with our Jeep wrangler battery my bf and I stopped at Advanced Auto Parts in East Hartford. I can not even put into words how helpful Richie was. I heard other employees asking him questions and it sounded like he was the manager. Advanced Auto Parts should be pleased that they have Richie as a mngr or employee. He was so kind and helpful. 5 stars for Richie and his team. *there was also a young lady with long dark hair and glasses that was also helpful (I do not remember her name but she was memorable). ThanksGuys, you saved the day,... heading to the beach! *** thanks to you guys!!!

Great service, and Advance Auto always seems better organized than some other auto parts stores. They are my first choice every time. Be sure to take advantage of ordering online and picking up in store to get 10-20% discounts.

Very disappointed in the place.. went in to buy a Part but wasn't offered hep.. I got a phone call so I had to leave.. a young lady yelled from across the store of I was going to pay what I had in my pocket in front of other customers.. very embarrassing to be accused of stealing.. I said it was my cell phone. That if she other the other employees wanted check me.. all she said ok.. didn't even offer a apologize.. very unprofessional

Called to See if the battery could be installed in my 2011 GMC, A man answered the phone told me that it wasn't gonna be done because it was raining but I can come down to see if someone was willing to put it but all I wanted to know was where they gonna be able to install because my battery is located in my back seat not everyone can do it very poor customer service dont wanna deal that kind of mess When dealing with your car

I placed an online order.I placed it in the wrong store I asked if I was able to get it transferred at the store and the response was.I don't know how to do that I think better training is needed plus after you ask them to cancel it takes over a half hour to get confirmation your order was cancelled

Simple tasks and they won't help. I needed a light changed on my truck. Just a head light. And the guy said I'll sell it to you. Great to know I can have a light in the package. Thank god for auto zone

Decent stop for auto parts but the place is usually very busy. Getting a simple item & checking out can take 15 minutes, especially on weekends.

Never again stepping into that store. Didn t even received a call from corporate when I made the complaint not even going to explain. Manager including with cashier are rude and inconsiderate. Don t waste your time or money going to that store.
