All I can say is God bless these guys. Especially Steph and Jen. I won't take my car anywhere else. In a world where everything feels transactional and comes with a catch, these guys are truly a group of honest and ethical people. They worked harder to fix my car than anyone I've ever worked with. Whatever they charge you, I promise it's fair. I truly cannot say enough good things about them. Thanks guys.

This place Is the most honest place I've been to. They got my check engine light off with no problem free of charge, most would have tried to hustle you. Highly recommend them. The guy at the desk is very cool and informative

At 111k miles my 2013 Ram 2500 had a transmission issue that forced it into "limp mode" which only allows 4th and reverse gears (so you can get it to service). I brought it to Talcot Transmissions in West Hartford and they charged me $145 to "diagnose" it. They claimed the transmission needed to be removed and completely rebuilt for an additional cost of $5600. I had doubts whether all the work was needed so I brought the truck to AAMCO of East Hartford. At AAMCO Steph did a free check and diagnosed a problem with the solenoid pack. The problem was repaired with new parts and works great (for $1525 including tax). Thanks to AAMCO and no thanks to Talcot Transmissions.

Had a major issue, needed my engine replaced. I was hesitant this being the first time I had to bring a car to a shop for repairs ever. Sam and the whole crew were extremely communicative, transparent, trustworthy and fast. I was not expecting to have my car back for weeks. It was fixed and running great within less than a week. Sam called me every step of the way and kept me informed on where we were at during the claim. When I went to pick up my car the location was easy to find, staff was very friendly, office was clean and my car was just the way I left it. Fingers crossed I don t have any more issues but If I do I m going back to AAMCO East Hartford. They have my full trust now!Service: Transmission

Recommended. Aamco took great care of my car in a timely fashion, they were efficient and professional, and they fixed the problem. Their diagnostic was explained in simple terms to me, a layman, and from the first moment I knew that they wanted to help me. Superb work.

Jennifer was great. She showed up in time, really friendly and with amazing knowledge of the vehicle. She walk me thru the diagnostic and what it could it cause the problem. She give me recommendations and to contact them again if anything!! I will definitely will call them again if I have any problem. Highly recommend service

Best place to fix your car. I had a check engine light on and I booked an appointment. They came on time and diagnosed my car. The only thing needed was coolant. They recommended me and everything was free. The technician was Jennifer who was awesome and polite. Jennifer the technician vey friendly and knowledgeable. She looked and diagnosed my car issue. Of course it would be a costly issue but overall they were friendly polite and they came out and diagnosed my car issue free of charge.

Crooks! I paid these people $1100 to fix my selonoid and blockage in my transmission got my car that never had any leaks whatsoever with an oil leak that they are refusing to repair and want me to pay more to fix their mistakes . Beware they will charge you an arm and a leg plus will sabotage your car so you can go back so they can still rob you. Should be put out of business .Services: Auto engine diagnostic, Engine repair

Excellent and professional services. Called and got a clutch installed on my Civic next day when some shops were booked for a week or two out. Actually was done sooner than expected and saved money over other estimates from other places. Got the brakes done too because they are a one stop shop. This shop is extremely professional, honest, and friendly. They fixed my vehicle quickly and kept me updated all the while. Many shops in the area didn't want to look at my vehicle but this shop did the work and got me on the road without any hassle. I would recommend them to anyone in need of auto repair. This shop has good guys who are very transparent and fair.I broke down on my way up to Maine and they worked with me given my circumstances. Gave me quotes for multiple options which were very reasonable. however I opted to scrap the car given it had 230k miles on it. They agreed to hold the vehicle for me during my vacation until I could arrainge for a scrapper to pick it up. Very decent of them especially since they didn't charge for the diagnosis or storage.Service: Transmission

Don t take your car here never in life, I bring my car weeks ago with a knocking sound for a diagnostic they end up trying to sell me a rebuild transmissions and a new exhaust system for the price of $4,699.00, I look for a second opinion and it was the back brakes I end up paying $600 with labor included and my car is working perfectly. This company is a scam and a bunch of thieves

Have used this Aamco location for several small and large repairs. Fantastic service, Justin is a great mechanic and all the team have always been friendly and professional. Needs a consistent front end guy, constantly changing service managers is probably my only dislike. I will continue to use them as much as I can for my vehicles.
