My car was stolen (Hyundai Sonata) and when it was found, it was towed to this place. The insurance company didn't want me to work with them and also mentioned that they were having a hard time working with them. However, when I called and spoke to Paul, he was very friendly and helpful. Reluctantly, I decided to keep working with them because towing my car to another place would cost money. I was very pleased with the service I received from them. Paul was very proactive in keeping me informed of the repairs and anything else going on. I am writing description since the owner said towing never gets good review. The property manager called this service to tow vehicle who was obstructing the garbage bin since it is very inconvenient for garbage trucks to remove garbage. My car was very far away from the garbage bin and was not even obstructing anything. I am teling this because I was with the property manger when they saw a black car was parked in front of the garbage bin. My car color is deep sea blue which in night looks like black. But without even lokking around you guys towed my car away for no reason and I paid the price for it.

The control arm on my car had broken and the shop I went to was unable to fix it. This morning I had my car towed back to my parking lot and was very impressed on how easily they were able to maneuver my car into my spot. I used them through AAA and will definitely use them in the future if needed.

AAA arranged a tow with them and they kept putting it off then eventually dropped it - not AAA's fault - they didn't want to drive to Newington because it would've impacted their profit margins - that's what these guys care aboutEdit - I agree, Paul, makes no sense! Glad we could agree brother!

Excellent place for all our vehicles. I highly recommend Wheelers . I have used them now dozens of times from full total vehicle to a AAA jump start. and if I had to rate each dealing individually it would be the highest grade across the board. Refreshing that there are still businesses like this out there. Wheelers was recommended to me by a friend and existing customer. At the time i needed the repairs done to my vehicle as soon as possible as well as by someone who had knowledge of my make of vehicle. As soon as i took my vehicle at its scheduled time, what needed to be done was explained to me in a manner in which i fully understood. Later that day i was given a call back and was surprised to hear from them in such a quick and eficient manner. They diagnosed my car and explained to me all possible causes with the vehicle as well as their imediate finfings as to what was wring with it. What really surprised me was in the manner in which they explained the costs for the repairs and what needed to be done, being in no hurry i expectrd my repairs to take over a week. Much to my surprise i got a call one day later and was asked to come down so i can see first hand what was wrong with my vehicle. My vehicle was repaired the next day and i was back on the road in 3 days. One of the things i observe in any work environment is the cleanliness of the shop and how they protected the paint work on my car their shop looked as clean as a laboratory. If you want good and eficient service and a fair price with your job done right, give them a visit. My catalytic converter got stolen the Tuesday before July 4th weekend. Not only did they give me the best quote (I contacted a minimum of 4 different garages), they were incredibly straight forward with me, explained everything to me in a way I understood, and had my car fixed and everything by Friday. Super friendly and super helpful.

My daughter is at school in CT. Came out and all the oil had leaked out of her car. Thankfully it was a minor repair, but as always they were prompt and professional. They also pointed out that my car needed front brakes. The only reason i m not having them do the repair is because they are under warranty so have to have it done at home. This is our second time using them, and both times have been greatService: General repairs & maintenance

THEY MADE ME WALK IN THIS COLD WEATHER (34 degrees) JUST BECAUSE OF $2They towed my car from my apartment (Mandy Management) with the claim that, I had no parking permit even though I have my vehicle registered with the apartment. They told me to pay an amount of $164. Because they were a towing company, I decided to pay the money and request for refund from my apartment. I picked Uber, went to the bank, withdrew money ($180 because the money came in 20s) only for them (Antonio) to tell me he needed $164 cash! Nothing more nothing less. I told him I am new to this area and Connecticut as a whole so he should just take the $180 and I will come for the balance later. Before that, I had $2 in my wallet so I needed only $2 to add up to make up the $164. This heartless gentleman gave me a no listening ear and told me to walk a couple of blocks down to find a gas station and find change. While I was walking down the street (15 minutes in the cold weather), I met some guys and had to beg them for $2 to be able to pay for my car. They gave the $2 and I had to walk back 15 minutes in this same cold weather to get my car. I thanked him and left.

Called on Wednesday with an oil leak in my 2009 KIA Sorento. Dropped my vehicle off on Thursday evening for Friday appointment with request to diagnose oil leak & give it a quick look see as I had just driven it from TX to CT.Staff fixed oil leak & found one problem we agreed also needed fixing, which they did.Price? Reasonable. Actually sort of exceptional considering it was a one-day job. Turn-around? Great for oil leak + brake pads & rotors. In the night before and drove my fixed vehicle home at the end of business day of appointment.Overall... Highly Recommend.Services: Engine repair, Brakes

I don t usually write reviews; however, my experience with Wheelers Automotive in Hamden was handled with an exceptional amount of professionalism and care that was top notch. My positive experience began with the friendly employees at the counter ,to the invaluable information given to me during the time my vehicle was being worked on . I have been there numerous times and each time I have had the same experience. The owner John has even went so far as to call the dealership and speak to management on my behalf. After his call I received the work that was done on my vehicle a priority, a free rental and the work that that was done cost free. In my experience the care and integrity is unheard of. Again I would recommend this business to all.This is my SINCERE experience with wheelers and felt I should share it to all that want a comfortable, complete and satisfied job done on their vehicle.

We have been a customer of Wheeler's for a few years and every time we bring our car we receive excellent service. They always provide us with honest guidance on how best to repair our vehicles. It is clear that they do not want to make unnecessary repairs and explain what needs to be done now and what can wait. Very honest repair shop, I needed an axle replacement done for my 2002 BMW which I could not complete myself. (I do a majority of work on my car) The price was spot on and very affordable for the service. No surprise costs or repairs even though my car is quite old and they were thorough. Wheelers was recommended by a bunch of students at Quinnipiac, which was the reason why I had gone to get my brakes checked. The staff was very friendly and made sure to get my brakes fixed promptly as I needed them fixed for a trip that I had to make the next day and to go to classes on campus. Wheelers replaced my front and rear brake pads, rotors, and one of the calipers in less than a day from me bringing it in and at a fraction of the cost I was quoted elsewhere. I live at a apartment complex I pay for a spot ao I don't have ro walk so far and wheelers is the tow company for the complex when someone parks in your spot. I called had all my paperwork so it would be easy . I called them at 8:50pm and he it is 2:18am next day and Stull not here 100% un called for not happy waste of money for a parking spot u can get someone towed from at all. Office will hear about this 100%

My truck broke down on 91 north. I immediately looked for towing companies in the area. I found Wheeler's online and called them. They were there within 25 minutes to tow my box truck which I use everyday for work. I explained to them that I need repaired asap or else I would need to rent a truck for work. Not only did they repair it within a day after the parts arrived they were in constant communication with me to let me know what was going on. I have never used them before but I will from now on. Paul and John were extremely helpful and made a difficult situation easy for me. It's nice to find a shop that actually cares about their customers.

What wonderful people that work here! I had my car towed to them a few weeks ago. They went above and beyond to help me out. The issue with my car they found out was covered under my Subaru warranty and they even called various Subaru dealerships for me so I could get my car fixed as soon as possible. Thank you, Wheelers!
