Was so disappointed that Valvoline sites will not service Mini Coopers becuase of it being a turbo car and the possibility of parts to break when servicing the oil filter region of the vehicle. This is what I was told today when visiting this store. I contacted Valvoline main chat and they also confirmed this. Just would have been nice if Valvoline posted this on their site so people did not waste their time going there.

The guys are so nice here!They gave clear explanations and allowed me to ask any questions to be sure I knew all I needed to know. Very kind and respectful crew here today!!! Jason was the manager on shift.Thanks Guilford Valvoline!!

Taylor and Francis did a phenomenal job with my oil change. Taylor was very friendly and thorough and the services and safety check's were performed in a timely manner. I won t go anywhere else for my oil change in the area. I highly recommend this location!

Was told I needed a Serpentine belt but they didnt have the one my vehicle takes. Next day i went and bought one and brought it to them. They looked under my hood and said they cant figure out how to get to it. Said they cant do it. Then they said I didnt really need one because the belt looks good. The guy that tried to sell it to me the day before said it was cracked and ready to go at any time. I will not be going back to Valvoline Oil Change ever again. Ive been using VIOC since 2006.

These are salesmen not mechanics. Guy next to me got charged $130 for an oil change but they wouldn't touch a fill plug on my car because it was "rusty". To top it all off they splashed some oil on my underside and told me I "had a leak", so they would 'only be comfortable doing an oil change' (not what I needed at all, they even took a picture of it, and there's no leak). The circus is missing its top performers. They did, however, give me one piece of good advice: "Take it to another shop".

I am a loyal customer for 3+ years to Guilford, CT Valvoline. Each time my little sticker reads mileage time, I go for oil change. And I drive A LOT, especially now. They always greet me warmly and apprise me of any and all issues I may choose to tend re my Volvo.. They have a fabulously knowledgeable and sweet addition to the crew, first time I ve seen a woman there. Though she should not HAVE to prove herself, she does, with a smile and that unique ability so critical to any sort of sales or customer service. She meets customers where they are. Seemed to feel out, if you will, that I don t know much specifically about cars but happy to educate me on necessary issues such as new filter, etc. The team is great and tho I ve moved out of that immediate area to East Lyme, I wouldn t go anywhere else!Services: Air & cabin filter replacement, Tires, Electrical, Brakes, Air conditioning, Oil change

I just want a basic oil change I told the guy. The man did all kinds of changes that he said I needed. I didnt give him the ok. The bill was $108 bucks. Like i dont have that money to spend. Never going to these hack places.

I recently bought a used car and I didn't know what I was getting myself into. These guys helped with everything. The oil was sludge, the coolant was empty. The employees were very helpful, explaining everything they were doing. At one point my grandma had to get out to use the bathroom and one of them helped her, walking her around the car so she didn't fall. Customer service was absolutely 10/10

I normally don t write reviews but I was shocked by how rude and unprofessional staff were. I came in for a headlight bulb that was out. I was told it would be no problem. 1 worker worked on car for a few minutes and then disappeared. After a couple minutes I ask another employee if they were done and he said yes but they won t be able to change the bulb. I asked why and he responded why would I know I wasn t the one working on your car. So sorry for asking you a work related question at your job! Rude service and a complete waste of time I will never be back.

It s convenient, but you re paying A LOT for the convenience. It s breathtaking how much more an oil change is here compared to almost anywhere else.Also, it s infuriating how differently a woman is treated compared to a man. My husband never gets the hard sell for all the add-ons like I get when I go there.As a last resort, or in a super time crunch, Valvoline is a decent choice, but if you have the option, save a ton of money by going to any other service garage.

This location has a great staff. There was a bit of a wait to get the service done, but that was accurately communicated to me. And shout out to Annette for being incredibly helpful and informative during my oil change.

Lucky they get 1 Star. Always trying to scam me into spending more money. "Drain pan plug stripped, that's $10 more buck"..."missing part on filter housing, more $". "We are out of that oil...here buy this one. It's only twice as much". Sick of the scams

It was my 1st time coming to any Valvoline I was there earlier today my name is Ian I came in with my Subaru Outback, Jonathan was explaining to me all that my vehicle was due by mileage and also showed me my air filter it was pretty bad so Jonathan wasn t pressuring me into buying the air filter he explained to me the good of getting it replaced and the other worker Jeremiah wonderful worker he showed me my cabin air filter that I didn t know I had but it wasn t dirty but I just replaced both air filters since they very well explained to me the benefits of getting them replaced I am coming back with my wife s truck and definitely recommending this Service center to all of my friends and family professional work ethic at its best and it shows! Had an amazing experience! Everyone was so friendly and made the time there so enjoyable. Did a nice check up on the car while getting my oil change and they didn't push me to get anything I didn't need which I find very respectful. Will go back(:

Down to earth, fair-valued, honest maintenance. The staff are exceptional. I've been there with an Audi Q5 when the A/C stopped working. For 1/2 hour they assessed the system, recharged the freon (sp?), checked filters and electrical. They did what they could but referred me to the dealer where the work would be warranteed...no charge. Another time, my daughter cracked her oil pan. They took pictures under the hood for me and let us leave the car overnight. When we returned, they gave her a "free" oil change for one day in the future. They take the time to assess, evaluate and explain the work and are considerate of "what is absolutely necessary" and "what can wait". I'm glad I finally found a straight and narrow auto maintenance shop on the Shoreline! Their customer service is exceptional.

To the staff and mainly Richard the manager and Jeremiah both went beyond the call for my daughter. Richard immediately took control of a situation that got my daughter back to school on time with moments to spare. Always a great experience at Valvoline Instant Oil Change! The staff are very efficient at their jobs in a friendly upbeat manner. They ask what you need, tell you how long it will take and present optional services your car could benefit from--no pressure, just a friendly recommendation. Staff members will talk to you directly and show you exactly what they are doing. Replacing an air filter for example, they will show you the old dirty one and make sure you see them discarding it, then show you the new clean one before they replace it--all up front and honest.

They damaged two wheels of.my car while rotating the tires by using an air jack on the lugs. They refused to acknowledge their fault and left me to pay the 200 dollars to replace the damaged parts. Inept and dishonest, stay far away from this place.

I stopped in to see if I could get my transmission fluid checked since I was hearing a whirring noise while driving in stop and go traffic and since my standard transmission can only have the fluid checked from underneath the car, i asked if they could check things for me to give me peace of mind that my tranny fluid was not leaking or running dry. I did not need an oil change at the time yet they were very helpful to check things out for me and show me a possible reason for the noise I was hearing. They were very friendly and helpful. Thanks a lot!

*$90* to replace power steering... yikes.I mean, if you REALLY need that ONE oddly specific thing done. And you have no idea where your oil stick is let alone change it.I guess this could be justifiable. 2 stars.

Idc if this is expensive lemme tell y all something. I got a silver subaru and drove in that mf hoping to be done in maybe 20 mins. Richard and his guys changed my oil and checked like 6 other things in under 4 and a half mins. It was times. Dababy couldn t even finish his song. Boys if you re reading this that was amazing 10/10 recommend.

My son went to Valvoline and the workers said they didn't have a filter and he had to drive all the way to Clinton to get one which he did. He returned to Valvoline and they drained the oil and then said he didn't have the right filter. He then had to drive back to Clinton to return it. Meanwhile, they charged him for an oil change that was not properly done. Louis said he would refund the money and he did not. What company that does oil changes and doesn't have filters? My son was bullied and taken advantage of. They told him if he didn't pay, they would take his license!!! This company owes a refund and mileage!!! Never going back except for my refund!!!
