We've used them several times - always careful, responsible - and they actually listen to you and try to solve your problem rather than applying a preset algorithm. Prices are good as well.

This location is absolutely amazing , honest, honorable, and strives to help you in the most efficient , respectable and trust worthy way. I was informed of the process and work being done on my car from start to finish an even explain through the process of what my car may need and also had tests done free of charge to see what my car needed.I had a flat tire, I ve been to so many different places that either try to up charge or take advantage of individuals having car trouble. Many of the places you cannot even trust that they ve done the work correctly on your car.If you want to avoid being given the runaround or dealing with untrustworthy server shops, go to Guilford and Monroe were the service is amazing, the knowledge is there, the professionalism is consistent, and most importantly, the peace of mind that you need when driving behind your vehicle is without a doubt given to you as a customer.Thank you very much to the amazing team over at Monroe in Guilford.(Above is my previous experience)(Below is why I dropped from 5 stars to 1 star)Updated on February 2024I took my own tire off, and dropped it off. I was told that the tire would be ready by the end of the next day. When I call in the morning I was told the tire is there and the technician will work on it after his lunch break. Then 1 hour before closing I called and asked if I could get a time line for the next day. And the rep relied to me yeah it s done now you can come in . When I got there he charged me 200$ even tho I had road hazard protection, and was told in order for the previous road hazard to be valid, I had to buy a new one? Then he rolled my tire to me, told me he wasn t allowed to touch it and not allowed to install it. Looked at the invoice (which I paid before he told me he couldn t install it) and of course he still charged me for mounting the tire. What a lazy , unprofessional, and zero regard for mine or anyone driving around my cars life. Luckily I have security cameras at my house and have all evidence of this occurring. That s unfortunate because the was one of the last remaining locations which I actually trusted and take all our car to. The guy was rude, purposely tell me to come in just to pay, while knowing he was going to refuse to mount the tire.Go somewhere else , this place is full of narcissists when the manager is not around

Jody went out of his way to ensure I was able schedule a tire change appointment at a time that was convenient for me. Everything went smoothly and he followed up with me the following day to ensure satisfaction. Great experience! Kudos to Jody and his team!

I went to change oil and they did it very well. It was quick, they even checked my tyre pressure and changed the side for free will recommend for sure A++ service

Was quoted twice the price that I paid for breaks and tiresthat were done elsewhere. The store also called with a follow up to see if I would do the service there . Buyer beware - this place where I used to frequent is not offering fair pricing.

I am satisfied with my recent purchase of four new tires. The customer service was great. Both service advisors I interacted with were very helpful and friendly. They even called and brought me in half a day early because the tires came in sooner than expected. The time for install was reasonable, and comparable to other tire shops on the shoreline.My only reason for not giving five stars is that it appears that I would have saved close to $100 if I had purchased the tires and set the appointment through Goodyear s website rather than going to the shop and setting the appointment directly with the service advisor, which is what I did. Both the tires and the service/install costs were less when I compared to booking through Goodyear s website. I m less bothered by the slightly higher service cost than the $11 per tire difference from the Goodyear website.I would still have my vehicle serviced here as the work was done well and in a timely manner and I appreciate them getting it done earlier than expected.

Professional, Efficient, and Convenient. I have had multiple vehicles serviced here and they have consistently done a great job at a reasonable price. They have great hours and (in my experience) have been able to service my vehicles much faster than most other mechanics/ dealers in the area were able to.I would also like to give a shout out out to their office manager David McKenzie, who I ve had the pleasure to work with on multiple occasions. His friendly and professional demeanor makes for a relaxing and enjoyable service experience. He always demonstrates a sincere interest in the customer s needs. He explains everything clearly and answers your questions knowledgeably, and readily.

I got 4 new tires at a reasonable price and they were installed in a reasonable time. One has had a slow leak since instal and I have taken it back for repair without success. The first time they tried to charge me for the repair even though I had paid for the road hazard coverage. They make you schedule an appointment but then you have to sit around for a long time (30-60 minutes) before they even take the car in.

I came in to see about issues I was having with my wheels. Got a price from David and it was genuinely the best price of anywhere I could reasonably drive too. He found my issues, also took time to explain and show me the issues with a solid explanation on what to do to get around the issues etc.I m not naive to mechanics, so it was a good learning experience for me as well.So ask for David if you want to be taken care of.

My car had an overheating problem. All the radiator warning lights came on, the thermostat was off the charts and steam was coming out of the hood. It was scary! I took it into the Guilford Monro where the manager, David Mckenzie, personally handled the diagnosis. I was concerned that I would be taken advantage of because I am a woman who does not know that much about cars and their inner workings. However, David was friendly, patient and professional and described the issues and options to me very clearly and in a non-condescending way. He even gave me a brand new pair of goggles so that he could take me back into the garage area and explain by showing me exactly what was going on with the vehicle. He spent a lot of time on both diagnosis and resolution, making sure to drive the car for a significant amount of time to test that all was in order before turning the car back over to me. And let me just say no one can beat the price I was charged for all that time and good work! I highly recommend this service center, and especially David Mckenzie, for all your auto service needs. He is someone you can trust to treat you fairly and professionally.

Had new tires installed here. Went to remove a tire to diagnose brake noise and all of the lug nuts were over-torqued. Used a breaker bar (which I wouldn t have had road-side should I need to install a spare tire) and realized that one of the lug nuts was installed crooked. I stopped by and asked if they could take a look and was told that if the crooked lug nut stripped the rod that I would need to buy a new one even though a tech was at fault. I was also told that the lug nuts are always torqued to spec, which was clearly not the case as my car requires 100ft-lb and was way over according to my torque wrench. As I pressed them it was clear they weren t taking any responsibility and suddenly couldn t take a look because I was pushing them for time. Cool.

I have had this shop do inspections, oil changes, etc on my work and personal vehicles, all without incident.I had a set of 4 tires put on my work vehicle, a 2020 rav4. At highway speeds the front tires had a shake to them. I brought it back to have them rebalanced. Still there. Had another shop do the balancing. Still there. So 40,000 miles later the fronts are worn and I m replacing all 4 again. Disappointed with the performance and life of the bfg s, especially when I got 85k out of the originals.My employer is disappointed that I spent $1100 and 40k miles later I m shopping for tires again. But, they value me feeling safe out there, so it s approved, but it s embarrassing

Im a foreigner and its so hard for us to look for a car services shop, especially on Sunday. Fortunately, this service open every days. The owner is so niceeee, and they inflated our cars tires for free. I will comeback next time.

The East Glenville location was very helpful and professional. Their assistance was very immediate and after I reiterated the urgency of service for my car, they accommodated for me and were able to address the issues in a timely manner. The staff was able to communicate everything going on with me as well as over the phone with my parents which I really appreciate. Very good service, would recommend especially for any young customers as they outlined the costs and options clearly, justifying their actions and communicated professionally with my parents over the phone.

Every aspect of my encounter at Monro was outstanding, from the phone call to schedule an appointment, to the gentleman who checked me in and out, and to the men who repaired my vehicle and also completed an oil change for me. Everyone was pleasant, polite, knowledgeable and efficient. Even took less time than expected. I would return and recommend without hesitation.

I came in at the recommendation of some family, and this place was hands down one of the best customer service experiences I ve had, ever. Friendly and informative, they explained in detail what needed to be done on my vehicle (which was quite extensive). They took me around the car and explained the parts necessary, what caused damage, how it normally wears and what was happening with me car specifically. They helped me to both understand and afford what needed to be done on my car with kindness and respect, and genuinely seemed to care about my well-being and not just making money. Even just sitting and waiting for the work to be done was a pleasant experience with friendly, down to earth, people who seem to want to make connections and not just money.

I had a tire pressure alert on my car come on. I pulled into their lot hoping they could help me figure out if I had a nail in a tire. They took me in next and had me gone in 45 minutes. Can't say enough good things about how quickly they were able to work on my car and resolve the issue.

I had an awesome experience here. Their prices are about average, maybe a little more than average. But they know what they are doing and most importantly, are straight forward. As a 22 year old girl, the amount of times I have been taken advantage of is ridiculous. The mechanic took my fianc� & I back to our car and showed us the issue, explaining it in a way we could understand. Honest, straight forward, kind. I highly recommend. But just so you know, they don t take warranties. So you have a repair that isn t covered by your warranty or you don t have one, I highly recommend this place!!!

My husband and I were visiting family for Thanksgiving from 300 miles away. While driving back from getting some lunch, we heard a very strange noise while braking. We pulled into Monro muffler around 2:15p on a Sat. The manager Jody had our car on the lift and a diagnosis of the issue within 10 mins. He arranged for new parts to be delivered and we were out of there by 4:10p. Jody was so helpful, knowledgable and proactive. He made sure we were comfortable while we waited and kept us informed on the progress of our repair. We highly recommend Monro Auto Services in Guilford!

This was my second time at Monro Auto Service. I went in on Saturday morning (busy day) and they fit me in as I had run over a bolt and needed my tire plugged. I was astonished that they did it quickly and even returned my spare to the correct spot in the car instead of just throwing in my back trunk. Their service was excellent and the price was shockingly fair. Thank you Monro Auto Service, I will be back!!! (Hopefully for regular service, not a bolt in my tire!)

Shop representatives were very kind and courteous. I was seen within moments of arriving for my appointment. Charges were explained to me prior to work being done on my vehicle. The oil change was done quickly. Recommendations were made regarding future service within the next 5,000 miles and I was given a price quote. Great experience, and I will certainly return there again and recommend their services.

Since my first review I have had a repair done - not a good experience - they don t stand behind their work - so oil change ok anything else watch it.Stopped in on a Saturday morning for an oil change - the person at the counter was helpful - I was told they could take my car within 5 minutes - they were true to their word - within 25 minutes it was all done - fantastic! What else can you ask for? The waiting room was comfortable - they have a clean bathroom - overall a crisp, efficient, professional operation - and at a great price - thank you Munro! I ll be back for sure.

Caught a flat tire 10min away from here and we aren t even from CT, we are from NYC and I couldn t be any more satisfied with the service I received from Monro. The guys here are extremely helpful, changed my tire in less than 20min and on my way I went. The waiting area is very well kept. Cleanest bathroom I ve seen coming from a tire shop. Highly recommend this shop if your around the area or happen to catch a flat near by. Thank you so much guys!!!

My daughter's vehicle ran over something on a Saturday night and _two_ of the tires were punctured! Obviously, the vehicle only had one spare, and being Saturday night, nothing was open. We got it towed back to the house - luckily it was close to home and the towing bill was not bad.Sunday morning I took one flat to Monro in Guilford - yes, Monro is open on Sunday - and they fixed it promptly while I waited. I took it home, put it back on my daughter's vehicle, and then drove her car (now drivable with one doughnut and three tires, all inflated) back to Monro to get the other tire repaired. They repaired the second flat and put the spare back in the trunk.I watched them and was impressed with their professionalism and care in the process - also they were very nice and polite guys! The cost was way less than expected.In summary, I was the recipient of some awesome customer service that Sunday morning. Thank you, Guilford Monro, I will be back!

I had a great experience today with Monroe in Guilford. Dropped off my car to have breaks inspected in the late afternoon. I got a call back shortly after explaining what needed to be done and they were able to complete the job by that evening. Everyone there was friendly, knowledgeable and professional. I will definitely be going back for other services I need.

I had my oil changed today at Monro in Guilford, CT. It was nice that they fit me in. However, As I watched the oil change being done, I noticed that they didn't rotate the tires, which is why I choose Monro for my oil changes. I asked the person at the counter, Andrew, if they rotated the tires, and Andrew said that they didn't need to be rotated because it was an AWD car. When I arrived at home, I checked online, and there are numerous articles about the need to rotate tires - even if they are AWD at every oil change. I checked the invoice, and there was a listing for rotating the tires that shows it was done. It's too bad that they are taking short cuts because I used to like going here.
