I was tired of getting ridiculous quotes from my dealership for routine maintenance. $145 for an oil change, $1500 for brakes, $65 for a filter that costs $15, it s ridiculous. I went to Midas and these guys are always great and reasonably priced. The managers, Danielle and Corey, are always pleasant, responsive, and great to work with. Their techs/mechanics are always professional, and Austin in particular is always a pleasure to speak with. I drive all over the state every day for work often times hundreds of miles a week and I need my car to be well maintained/serviced, I trust these guys hands down. Thanks Groton Midas!!

First ratings I've ever done. These people are amazing especially the manger women.They went above and beyond worked with my budget and got everything I needed done. They blessed me so much words can't explain. I'm from the hood if you know you know were always skeptical about mechanics but lemme tell you this is the place to go they didn't owe me anything but treated me and my car like if it was there own. Thank you Midas so much will be back for more work

I'm not one to write review online but felt like I had to post one for this shop. I took my truck here based on a recommendation from a friend, knowing it would need a brake job and wanted to get a squealing belt taken care of. I brought the truck in at 1PM on Thursday afternoon and by 1:45 they had called and updated me on the cause of the squealing noise and a quote for the brakes and tensioner replacement. I fully expected the repairs to take until Monday or Tuesday, based on parts availability and my previous experiences with other shops I had used in the pasts, and even booked a rental car to drive in the meanwhile. Much to my surprise, they finished the truck repairs at 5:45 PM that same day at a very reasonable price. I was pleased with the communication and timeliness of the repairs and would not hesitate to recommend this shop to a friend or use their services again.

I recently had to bring my car in for some repairs that I knew were going to be hefty! Like most people the last few years have been hard and we kinda had to back burner our poor car. They literally went through our car with a fine toothed comb gave us a list of every single problem we had. They were honest with the issues that needed to be fixed right away and what could wait to save us money. They never once made us feel embarrassed. They kept a line of communication open and even took a little bit off at the end to save us a little more. I dealt with Michael who listened to me explain every noise and asked questions without a single ounce of annoyance and asked questions about things I never would have mentioned. When Richard called a few hours after drop off to go through the list of issues it was the same he took his time didn t rush me and answered all answers to my questions in a relaxed manner. Explained any and everything I had a question about. To be quite honest I don t have one single bad thing to say! They even have a section of toys for the kids that mine enjoyed while waiting for a cab. They knew we would be traveling out of state and with our children and I feel like they fixed this car as if they were putting their own children in it! I would most definitely use their services again and again!

Brought my car in for Emissions. Was in and out in less than 45 min. I had budgeted an hour for this so was very pleasantly surprised at quick turnaround, especially given the number of people already in the waiting area. They could not have all needed Emissions Testing. Also, this was on a Saturday so extra-specially surprised.

The service was outstanding staff was great. Squeezed me in at the end of the day in an emergency situation and took care of me.Cory and Danielle were great. Midas-Groton- should feel lucky to have two people like that. Very happy. Will definitely be returning in future

I was traveling from outside of the area and decided to go in and have them look at an ABS/emergency brake light error on the dash. I was quoted a few hours later of 1700.00 and some change. I was told the part was 1200.00 dollars alone. I thought the price was awful high so I declined. When I picked the truck up , I decided to walk next door to get quote on the part from Advance Auto. The price was under 600 dollars. I was contacted the next day by the owner wondering why I declined service, and was told that they add 30 percent to the cost of parts to cover the warranty.So I did the math and told him 30 percent of 600 was 180, so the part should have cost 780 plus labor. He decided that they could knock 300 dollars off.I told him his math was still not adding up. I called the Ford dealer and with OEM parts and Ford certified technicians, it was 1200.00 dollars. Shame on Midas for looking at a middle aged lady traveling alone from out of state to try to scam. My warning to others is to shop around.

Made an appointment a few days prior. Got in and got out quickly and efficiently. Friendly staff and happy with the service performed. Would recommend to anyone needing work done on your vehicle. Honest and upfront on costs. A+

FIRST TIME HERE - Scheduled an oil change and I was very pleasantly surprised. I was greeted by Austin who was friendly and professional, and it was clear to me that customer satisfaction was important to him. More importantly I called prior to get a price quote for the oil change and he stuck to his quote. I think it ended up being a couple dollars LESS, Amazing. ALSO, their mechanic installed my wiper blades at no charge. I of course tipped him. For quality work at a great price I whole heartedly recommend Midas of Groton (CT) and intend to come back! Thanks Midas, and Thanks Austin!!

I had a rather unique rental electric car. It left me stranded with a punctured tire. I was also a few hours away from home. The first shop i took the car to said the tire couldn't be repaired because of its location and because their lifts couldn't support the weight of the car. I ended up needing a second rental and having to drive back the next day to pick up the first rental car.As I was waiting st a gas station to be towed some 100 miles, having to pay over 400$ for the tow, I searched for tire repair places near me. It led me to this MIDAS. Long story long, they assured me they could fix the tire and ten mins later, I was finally able to get back on the road home! Of course I then couldn't charge the car but that was a different problem.The people at this MIDAS could not have been more helpful and I couldn't recommend this place more highly.

My car had been rattling for a while so when I went to get it checked I was expecting the worst. Turns out my heat shield was just loose. These guys fixed it up for me pretty quickly and sent me on my way. Easy peasy!

I hd a wonderful experience at the Midas on Rt 12 in Groton!!! I was having problems with my VW on our way up toCt from Md. they got me right in for an oil change. I asked them to check my brakes and I did needed new brakes! I left my car overnight and they had it done the next morning! The customer service was wonderful! They called me with each step and they offered a coupon for my oil change! I feel so much safer for our long drive back today! Hard to find such good customer service these days!!! Thank you!

I have a bad car buying problem so I've spent more time in the waiting room here than I'd care to admit...but on the flip side, I feel especially qualified to write this review. Though I no longer live in Groton, this Midas is still my go-to for all servicing needs. I'm normally pretty wary of the big name service shops as they sometimes get a reputation for upcharging and subpar work. But based on my many experiences and interactions I've seen with other customers, I find the folks here to be consistently friendly, capable, and trustworthy, and the prices fair as well. So to answer your question- yes you should go here, just please leave some open appointments for me lol

Great service. The girl that called to let me know it was being worked on & then later let me know it was done & that they had applied a $100 coupon towards the purchase of my 4 new tires was very pleasant and friendly. As well as Corey who was kind enough to apply the coupon and explain to me what he suggested I get repaired. Very good experience and appreciated being able to drop my keys overnight & pick up my vehicle after work the next day. I highly recommend this Midas location. Thank you!Services: Exhaust, Tires
