Rick, Cris and all the guys over at Glastonbury Oil and Service are fantastic. I've brought late model cars and old junkers to them and they know exactly what they are doing. What impresses me most about these guys is their honesty. The first time I ever walked in, I was told by the Subaru dealership that I needed new breaks and four new tires (at 40k miles). I didn't like the price that the dealership quoted so I stopped by Glastonbury Oil and Service to get an estimate. Not only was their estimate 30% below the dealer's estimate, they actually told me to come back in 10k miles because both the brakes and tires were fine.I walked in there prepared to drop several hundred dollars with no questions asked and ended up not spending the money until much later. This type of thing has happened consistently with all three cars that I've brought to them over the past couple of years.The don't do unnecessary work. The accurately diagnose problems and they don't overcharge for the work they do. Finally, when they do work on your car, it's top notch and they stand behind it.Everybody needs a good mechanic and these guys are the best.

Had my cars fixed here since I was a teen. They are reliable and don t over charge. These guys are good! One example several years ago was them lining up with Honda a transmission replacement as our mini-van was only 50 miles within warranty--the transmission work was done at the Honda Dealership (per the warranty) so they didn't get $ for doing this for us--just went the extra mile. I highly recommend them--honest and easy to work with.

I have a 2011 BMW 3 Series that was completely disassembled under the hood as the result of a budget friendly mechanic doing a hack-job on replacing the valve cover (which is a very tedious job). I had it towed to Glastonbury Oil and Service and less than 48 hours later my car was ready to go. On top of that, they helped me out tremendously by working with me on the price of the job. I went in there worried I was going to have to give them my whole paycheck, and left with plenty of money to spare. I recommend Glastonbury Oil and Service to anyone and everyone looking for anything from an oil change to extreme engine work. These guys are honest, extremely knowledgeable and very professional. These are the mechanics you can trust. Honest, hardworking, and looking out for the customer. They are great at explaining what work was performed or needs to be performed and they are very transparent. The first time I brought my car, I was treated like a long time customer. I know a number of people that use Glastonbury Oil and Service and they all rave about the service they receive.

I am so happy I found this place! I had been going to a garage recommended by my boyfriend and every time I got my car back there was a problem. I decided to try Glastonbury Oil and Service Inc. and I'm so happy I did! Their service was prompt and my car was ready when it was supposed to be. My car runs smooth like " butter"! I'm definitely making this my automotive home; Superbly pleased with their service.

These guys are the best. They blend old-school work ethic with state of the art diagnostic equipment. This is a family run business with deep roots in the community, and you won t find more trustworthy technicians. I offer Glastonbury Oil & Service my highest recommendation.

There are certain people we rely on who we know will keep us healthy and safe. Primary care doctors, dentists, and, yes, auto mechanics. Although I have retired and moved to Vermont after three decades in Glastonbury, I still go back to my primary care, dentist, and car care. Glastonbury Oil & Service (more aptly Rick, John, Chris, Mark, and Ron) has given me peace of mind since 1980. In 34 years, I have never had a single bad experience. These men take pride in everything they undertake, and their track record stands the test of time. To a man, each is a true gentleman.GO&S is as good as it gets. They certainly don't need a google recommendation to boost their business, but I'm still glad to be one to give credit where credit's due.

These guys are very good. I use them for my 2010 altima and my wifes 2013 vw beetle.I've been going to them for a few years now and always get straight answers. There have been times when they have done a little more than what I may have asked to be done, but upon questioning, I have found that the extra was to my benefit and more than reasonable. I feel they are looking out for my best interests when they work on my car to the point where now, I just drop it off and let them do what they feel is needed. If there's something questionable that they feel should maybe be done, or maybe what I requested really isn't the best thing depending on what they find, I get a phone call. Don't let the looks of the shop put you off. It's an old place and they've been there for ever.
