Outstanding customer service. Modern Tire was able to fit me in first thing in the morning with a nail in my tire and had it patched and ready to go in under 40 minutes without an appointment.Great attention to detail and friendly, helpful service. Highly recommend them!

We were able to make an appointment to have my tires switched out for wife s suv. Very friendly and courteous service. We also had a four wheel alignment. Clean and comfortable waiting area. Not far off of i84. Highly suggest Modern Tire.

The guys at Modern Tire & Auto Service are helpful, friendly and accessible. I recently bought 4 GoodYear tires for my Subaru and so far, so good. However, I applied and got the tire rebate but the number on the prepaid credit card GoodYear sent is blanked out in the middle, so I can't figure out the number. I've tried calling all the phone numbers for GoodYear, but can't get a live person. The recordings keep asking for my number and I can't give it so I can't activate my card. Hope you have better luck.

Highly recommend Modern Tire of Farmington. I cracked the rim on my Mercedes and I ordered a new rim from an online website. I had my car towed to them and they installed the new rim & ordered me a new tire within a day. The pricing was extremely reasonable and Brian & Frank were very helpful and honest with all of my questions. I will definitely be using them in the future if I need anything further. Thank you!!

I love the guys at Modern in Farmington - they have always taken very good care of my vehicles and it's very apparent they care greatly about customer service.I live several towns over but heard from word of mouth recommendations that this repair shop was upstanding and fair so I find it's worth it to go somewhere you trust. I've been going here as long as I've lived in Connecticut (for 8-9 years); they've seen me through multiple vehicles, a variety of car issues, and the guys at the front always tell you what's going on, what your options are, and have always given me a quote and time frame, before asking if I want to move forward.On multiple occasions, I've brought vehicles in thinking they needed new brakes because mine were squeaking, and the mechanics put the car on the lift, take the wheels off, do the inspection, and tell me they will change the brakes if the squeaking bothers me but the brakes don't need replacing yet and if it's just an annoyance, I don't need to spend the money on a repair yet. And that honesty, to me, is invaluable because they could replace the brakes and charge me for it as I was expecting when I came in. But for them to tell you, you don't really need this work done yet, this kind of care for you as a person and a customer, is why I always come back here and always will.Lastly! I know I'm rambling at this point but reviews are helpful and important. Another thing I think is a really good indicator of a good place of business is the consistency of the staff. Brian has been there at least as long as I've used this shop and has always been very good to me as a customer. It feels really good when I call to make the appointment and when I bring the car in, to know he's still there. It's comforting to interact with people you trust.

I just picked up my car from Modern Tire today and this was my first time servicing my car there. I brought my car in for a flat tire repair a few days before Christmas, I was very happy they were able to look at my car so promptly as other businesses were telling me it would be mid-January at least before I could get an appointment. I ended up deciding to purchase new tires and I really appreciated how the staff walked me through my options, and I was able to get additional coverage for my tires which I found quite reasonably priced. Overall it was a very positive experience and I'm glad they were able to help me to have my car back before the holidays.

The manager of this store has a very bad attitude and the charges are unreasonable. My tire was damaged by a nail to fix the tire. They didn't tell me how much it would cost to fix it. They said they would charge $43 without tax. It was just a tire repair. I asked him why it was so expensive. He was very rude and said you go without money and I am very angry why as a manager said live so rude I feel extremely insulted and bad day I will never go there again

The staff are always courteous and I've had many oil changes done here that were handled promptly at the time I scheduled.However, I brought my wife's car in for an oil change and asked them if they check the brakes while it's on the lift (since many places offer that service). They said they didn't, but that it was easy enough and they'd be happy to. I appreciated it.The problem is that I was told the brakes were nearly metal to metal in the front and rear. They offered to give me a quote. I do my own brake work though and promptly ordered new brakes. When I went to install the brakes the front still had 30% of their pad left and the rear over 50%. I waited nearly a year before changing my wife's front pads this spring and just checked the rear pads, which still do not need changing.I have no problem coming here for simple oil changes in the future, but as someone who is moderately handy and does most of the work on my own vehicles, I was disappointed to see that I would have paid several hundred for unneeded work if I were less handy.

I had a small emergency with one of my tires on my way home from work. Modern Tire and Auto service happened to be close by so I pulled in. Dwayne and his crew were awesome! Even though they were getting ready to close soon, not only did they take care of the problem, but they truly went above and beyond. I will definitely keep them in mind in the future.

The folks at modern tire did a great job handling the emissions test for my car. Colin handled my car with care, and I was in and out within 10 minutes. I highly recommend them, and I will be using them for my emissions tests in the future.

Had some metal in one tire. Dropped off in the morning and they plugged the hole by the afternoon for a fair price. Never tried to push new tires or an upsell. Friendly and helpful staff.

The Modern Tire team is the best. They got me in late in the day to patch a tire that had found a screw and was leaking badly. Saved the day. Always great service from these guys. I wouldn t go anywhere else.

Brought in my car with a rear passenger flat, had all Pirellis, they quoted me X which seemed on the low side of reasonable. I also requested an oil change to be done while they had the car. When I picked it up had new tires but a different brand I had never heard of. I didn t make a stink about it at the time bc it was said and done and the guy in charge said all of the XC90s were getting them. Also, the oil change I had requested was not done so I had to take it to another place the next day. I have had a slow leak in the tire that was problematic before, just haven t had time to bring it down there. Way bigger fan of Tires International in Manchester

I have used Modern Tire for the past 3 years to have all sort of work done on my vehicle including purchasing tires and the manager Bryan and his staff have given me nothing but exceptional customer service. I have refereed them to other co-workers who have had the same experience. Bryan is knowledgeable and courteous, and this is the one place I don't feel as if I am being taken advantage of, in fact I prefer coming here then going to the dealership where I purchased my vehicle. I highly recommend this location for all your car service needs.

I brought my car to Modern Tire in Farmington for new brakes, without an appointment, after my brake light went on over the weekend. Brendan, Bryan and Jamie were extremely helpful and courteous. Service was exceptional and fast. I had new brakes before lunchtime. The shuttle service was prompt and convenient as well. I will highly recommend Modern Tire in Farmington to my friends and family.

Dwayne and the team really came in clutch for me today. After traveling a few hours home for a business trip, I got a flat tire on the side of the highway. Once towed to this location I was taken care of right away. They took me in with no appointment towards the end of the work day. After getting my car up on the lift, Dwayne and the team psychically walked me through the issue and explained what needed to happen to ensure it is resolved. How many places do you know that make sure the customer is informed on what is needed and how they will fix it? Not many that Ive dealt with. It was also really neat that they film the issue with your car and then send it to you for your personal records. I ve never had a place do that but I feel all places should. They worked quickly and I was in and out in no time. I was pleasantly surprised at how little time it took to be honest. I am so grateful Dwayne and the team were sympathetic to my situation and got me back on the road to continue my journey home as fast as they did. They will never truly understand how much that compassion and hard work means to me so that I could just end this nightmare of a day. Thank you to Dwayne and the team for saving the day!

Highly recommend. I had a great experience with the manager. Went in with a nail in my tire. He couldn t fix it, but rather than just selling me a new tire, he recommended that I check with my auto dealership to see if my 10 month old tire was still under warranty which it was! I will definitely be going back there to buy four new tires when the time comes.

First time at Modern Tire was to purchase tires and to have my check engine light looked at. The manager, Mr. Sumler, was very helpful and knowledgeable about the issues I was having with my car. As I waited in the waiting area he addressed each customer and chatted with them as if they were family. I will definitely be back.

Positively awful experience with this business a few years ago. A simple brake job took over 6 hours. They overbooked customers without enough staff to complete work in a reasonable amount of time. The guy at the front desk was condescending and obnoxious. It was my first and last time ever going here. Check out the other 1 star reviews. My experience is not unique. I truly hate this place!Update: A few months ago family members went to Modern Tire (without my knowledge) for an issue with the exhaust. Before the work was performed the manager agreed to "help them out" with the final bill. Sure enough they were charged some outrageous amount and only after complaining was the bill reduced. Remember, as soon as you hand over your keys to these guys the only way to get them back is to pay your invoice (they know that - you are not negotiating anything from a position of strength at that point). Looking back on my brake job, I have no doubt they took advantage of me too but I was not savvy enough to catch it. How is this place still in business? These guys are the worst - taking your car anywhere but here is literally the best decision you can make. They could offer me free oil changes (free anything...) to infinity and I wouldn't come within 10 miles of this place.

I have nothing but things to say about my experience here. One morning on my way to work, I had put oil in my car and halfway there realized I had forgotten to put the cap back on. I stopped in to ask if they sold them or knew of a nearby place that does and they didn't have any on hand but one of the employees gave me his from his personal car! Not only did they give me the cap free of charge when I was fully prepared to pay, they also gave my car a quick check to be sure it was safe to drive. Extremely kind, and what drove me to take my car there when I began to have engine problems.At that visit, they got me in earlier than expected which worked out best for my personal schedule. They also quoted me at one price, but where able to find cheaper parts at a full $200 cheaper. Excellent service, I cannot thank them enough. Timely, polite, helpful, and fair prices. I will be returning the next time my car needs any sort of work. Thank you!!

I've been bringing my car to Modern Tire for at least a decade. Bryan, the manager, is reliable, efficient, and extremely thorough! His attention to detail and customer service is impeccable and unparalleled. He's always accommodating and manages to get my car in and out in no time! I wouldn't bring my car anywhere else! Excellent service, personnel. I overhead "Team Leader" Bryan speak to a number of customers. He was super calm, concise, helpful, exactly what you want. Greg, the technician that did my tires, was extremely conscientious, diligent, and obviously took great pride in his work. Overall the staff there seem to get along really well, there was no tension, everyone seemed in very good spirits. It felt like a great environment for the staff and I think that reflects in the quality of service they provide.

Bryan and the staff at Modern Tire are super friendly but more importantly know their stuff. There prices are fair and competitive and the team works hard to complete the job in a timely manner. These guys always go the extra mile keep up the great work.

We stopped here after our car suddenly started making a new sound. Sam and Dwayne helped us immediately and got us back on the road. Great customer service and knowledgeable about our issues. They took the time to make sure we understood what the issue was.

I used to love Modern Tire because I thought their service was the best around, especially after I realized that the previous repair shop that I'd bring my car to in the area wasn't finishing the repair work that they said they'd do.In the last few months, though, Modern Tire started to take advantage of my trust, loyalty, and general unfamiliarity with cars. First, they were asked to repair something on my driver's side (I won't say what as I'm trying to remain somewhat anonymous), with the total bill being several hundred dollars. I was told that it would cost this much because something else needed to be completely replaced. I had no reason to question this.But later, when I needed additional work done (I won't say what as I'm trying to remain anonymous), they fixed the problem, but then a second problem popped up a couple days later after I got my car back. That second problem wasn't discovered or fixed when they addressed the first problem. They told me that the second problem would cost around $1,000 to fix. I got suspicious and went somewhere else for another opinion. Not only did the new mechanic not concur with Modern Tire's assessment, but when I brought the car back to Modern Tire, they no longer stuck to their original diagnosis of the second problem and instead identified another solution that would cost significantly less. Shady and suspicious.I'm deeply disappointed in the inability to trust Modern Tire. Who has time to always get a second (or third) opinion?

My family and I have been customers of Modern Tire and Auto Service in Farmington for the past 10 years and if I could, I would give them 10 stars. They are the only people that we trust with our cars. Brian has always been honest and fair and we very much respect his expertise and perspective on our vehicles.I recently had a problem with the latch on the hood of my car and had to make the long 2+ hour drive home. It happened suddenly and I was nervous about my safety making the drive home. With no appointment, Frank and Mike stopped what they were doing and helped me fix it. So appreciative to them for all of their help.Will continue to bring my car to them for everything!

I have been bringing my car to Modern Tire of Farmington for many years. Modern Tire of Farmington is always my go to place for any and all of my car needs. The service has always been impeccable and Brendan is always extremely professional, knowledgeable, and accommodating! When dealing with Brendan and the team at this location, I always feel confident that my car is in good hands and there is never a concern that I am being taken advantage of. I recommend Modern Tire of Farmington to everyone I know, I can't imagine getting better service anywhere else.

I've been taking my car to Modern Tire in Farmington for the past year. Brendan and Bryan are one of the best teams I've seen from a service company. I have full trust in tossing my keys to them and knowing I don't have to worry about a thing. Knowledgeable, integrity and composure would be the words I use to describe Brendan And Bryan. If all Modern Tire locations replicate how they approach consumers, I would be very pleased as an owner.
