When there is an issue with your car, going to get it checked out is always stressful and you don t know what to expect. Fairfield Automotive Service is amazing at relieving that stress. My GMC Acadia Denali was making an unusual sound and it ended up being an issue with the exhaust system. They identified it, gave me the most honest course of action and all within the day. I will 100% be going back to them with any issues I have with my cars. They are reliable, honest and the most important, in this service, trustworthy. Thanks again for the help and service. I will definitely be recommending you to my family and friends.

Dave and John are honorable men. They were honest with me about my Subaru s oil leak. The cost of repair was just too much to be worthwhile. I am so grateful to Dave and John at Fairfield Automotive Service. I will tell all my friends and family about this great local business. They have real integrity.

Fairfield Automotive is amazing. I called them when my car wouldn t start while at school and warned them I would be in if I could jump it, or would have it being towed. They took all my information and walked me through everything. Despite being booked a week out, they were able to fit me in as an emergency since I was driving home the next day. They did a full work up to ensure nothing major was wrong and put in a reliable battery that is meant for the cold and highly rated. Pricing was fair. David and his brother are very kind and helpful. Cannot say enough great things. Definitely my go-to mechanic while at school in Fairfield. Highly reccomend!

I just had a "check engine" light and took the car to Fairfield Automotive. John was there, asked me what was up, plugged in the OBD reader and diagnosed the problem. It is not often that you can get such prompt and excellent service. Professional and to the point. John told me he been running the business at this place for 50 years. Bravo! Old fashioned, solid service. I sure hope you keep going for another 50 years John :-) Thanks.

On Sunday a warning light went on as I was driving from NY to my daughter's home in Fairfield. I didn't know what I was going to do. My son-in-law told me about Fairfield Automotive. I called first thing Monday morning. I was able to bring it in that afternoon. The service was the absolute best. Dave and the rest of the team were wonderful. They were extremely helpful, knowledgeable and patient. They diagnosed the problem within minutes and resolved it shortly thereafter. I would recommend Fairfield Automotive to anyone.

Traveling from Mass to VA hauling our small camper, our Jeep started making a crazy noise. We found Fairfield automotive on the map and stoped. Within 5 minutes they had our car in the garage and up on the lift checking it out. Thankfully it was an easy fix. They got us back on the road in no time at no cost! It s rare to find wonderful, helpful and honest people now a days! We are forever grateful for their help! If you need a mechanic, look no further!!!Service: General repairs & maintenance

My Jeep wouldn't start, so I called & they said they were very busy & it may be a few days which was fine with me as I was willing to wait because I trust these guys and would rather have my car serviced with them. Even though they were super busy they were able to get the repair completed quickly & my car was back on the road a lot sooner than I expected!

I brought my car in to be looked at yesterday. From beginning to end the customer service was topshelf. They were able to diagnose and fix a matter that Meritime Chevy, in over 3 month's time, could not. Beyond generous service today. Heard an odd noise from my car and took it here to be checked out. Within minutes they fixed my car and generously did it without charge. They even let me look at the bottom of the car to see what the issue was. Really appreciate the thought and thank you very much.

I stopped in to get a quote on fixing my drivers side seatbelt and passenger front seat for my Mercedes E350. One of the guys came out and took a look at my car even though he said he was very busy. He resolved the issue with my seatbelt and then took the time to checkout what was happening with my seat and was able to fix my seat! You can t get this kind of service anymore, anywhere! I wish I got his name but to that gentleman thank you so much. I will definitely be returning for any service my car should need.

John and David are great. I have been going to them for service for a few years but they really go above and beyond. Yesterday I went in with a noise that sounded like my wheel. John took the time to drive the car with me, put it on the lift and diagnose the issue as a tire issue, all for no charge! They care about their customers and are always helpful and honest. I would definitely recommend!

I need to update my review a bit, since I'm unable to write multiple reviews. David and John continue to run, without a shadow of a doubt, the BEST shop I have ever used. Time and time again, they continue to amaze me and my family with their transparency, honesty and quality work. I will continue to take my cars here and recommend them to every single one of my friends, family, colleagues, and even strangers."Honest mechanic" has been an oxymoron for as long as the automobile has been in existence but not with these folks! The team is honest, responsive, professional and does excellent work at a fair price! I started taking my cars to them for service a little over a year ago and my only disappointment is that I didn't do it sooner! The fact that they are only a 20 minute walk from my office is just the icing on the cake. On Saturday, my car wouldn t start. I gave Fairfield Automotive Service a call on Monday morning, and they were able to diagnose my issue and fit me in for an appointment within an hour. Very thorough assessment, and honest review of work needed. Very fair price on diagnostic as well. John, let me know he could do the work if I wanted him to, but that I was more than welcome to shop around for a second opinion in order to feel comfortable. If I had the time to let him do the work here, I would. But I am from out of town and on my way out. Fully recommend these guys. Two brothers, David and John, own and operate this repair shop. After losing my longtime regular mechanic to retirement, I had a difficult time locating a reliable shop until I brought my car to Fairfield Automotive.I believe that it is a very professionally run shop with capable mechanics. Importantly, I think I am treated honestly and services are fairly priced.I have recommended friends who feel similarly.

Over the last three years, Dave and John have provided me with great service and most importantly, they stand behind their work. Fantastic experience! This is my new go to auto repair shop. I showed up first thing in the morning, no appointment, with an unknown issue with my car from the night before. They immediately took the car for a drive and then put up on the lift. They had difficulty identifying the problem but they kept at it and drove me home so I would not have to sit and wait. One hour later I received a call they had resolved the issue - something I suspected would be a huge expense - for a couple hundred. Total time start to finish 1.5 hours, as a walk-in. No issues since. Nicest guys, fair prices, excellent service.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Fairfield Automotive Service is an outstanding establishment. This was my first time doing business with them BUT it certainly will not be the last. I had a tire issue with my vehicle making it not safe to drive. I pulled my car in and the gentleman at the shop immediately came to my aid. They quickly addressed the issue and did the repair without any haste. I had a wonderful experience doing business with this establishment. I highly recommend this very professional clean shop. 10 out of 10 !!

I had my oil change recently at Fairfield automotive. They were very efficient, my car was finished within one hour like they promised. The owners are so kind and communicative. Easy to do business with. I also bought my car from them! Will always go back.

I brought my car here for the first time this week. What a wonderful shop - my car needed some expensive repairs, but I want to commend Fairfield Automotive for calling with an estimate right when they diagnosed some of the problems and for calling when the repairs were complete. My car is working great and I'm pleased they did the repairs same day! Shoutout to John who actually kept the damaged part and showed me what was wrong / explained the issue. Great service, and I'll definitely be back (but hopefully not TOO soon!!).Services: Tires, Brakes, Brake service & repair

I highly recommend Fairfield Auto! I've been coming here for about 4 years and I've never had any issues as the service has been incredible. My car had tires/rim issues and anytime I called to make an appointment, they always took me right away. Dave & John are very honest, trustworthy and extremely helpful!! 10/10

Highly recommend Fairfield Automotive Service. After checking out several repair shops in the area, I have chosen them to service my 2 BMWs. The shop is clean, well-organized and professionally managed. Dave and John are knowledgeable and skilled, but, most importantly, honest. After going to scape auto auto I realized realized that they kept Trying to charge me for things I shouldn't be charged for even though I had insurance. The mechanics at Fairfield automotive are vare very honest and generous and genuine and I trust them explicitly. There are times when there's something wrong with my car with my car and they tell me what to do if it's something simple. I really appreciate their honesty.

Coolant tank replacement, because li antifreeze was leaking,Al and his brother fixed my coolant tank for my 2014 CLA250. They gave me a decent price, work was done in a timely manner. Highly suggest them for your European cars to get your maintenance done.
