These guys are true professionals. Scott and his team are honest, knowledgeable and very reasonable in every respect. They go out of their way to test the vehicle before and after and to give you a complete picture of what the issue is (if any), and how to fix it.And, if there is no issue, they will tell you that, too.There are fewer and fewer shops like this, and this one is a gem for sure.

Scott at Fairfield Trans is easily the very best specialist in the area, and most likely as good as you could ever hope someone is at their job. He was able to not only fix my differential when no one else could, but he also had to clean up other's mess... And he did it at a fair price. Feel lucky if you have a problem with your vehicle and Scott is on the job.... because you are.

We have a BMW 5 series and I was a little apprehensive about bringing it to a non factory repair facility. I was wrong. These guys diagnosed the issue within a day, called me with an estimate which I thought was very fair and with my consent, proceeded in repairing the vehicle. We picked it up and on the way home I just couldn't believe how well it shifted and performed. I don't think it drove that well when it was new! Great job guys and Thanks! Bob G

Terrible. I had a transmission rebuilt, and a week later it broke down in northern Vermont. Some local mechanics fixed it, but said the bolts holding the transmission had not been put in properly. This shop will not only charge you a huge amount, but also not fix it properly. Stay away!

Brought in for diagnosis. Turns out that transmission was not the issue. They were thorough and fair priced for the diagnosis.

Horrendous customer service. Overcharged, mechanics failed to fix the car. Was told car would be thrown into storage if I didn't get it off their lot after their failure to fix problem
