It s rare to find service that goes beyond great these days but Kar Kare CARSTAR of Ellington made it exceptional! Nate and his team provided timely follow-ups and the end result of the repair was beautiful. Its scary bringing in a vehicle for any type of body work as many shops are quantity over quality however, if you need 5 star body work look no further. Thank you for exemplary customer service and pride of workmanship.

Worst service I ve ever dealt with. After waiting nearly 2 months I get my car back only to see two big scuff marks under the paint on the fixed area, my engine bay was covered in bondo dust, inside carpet wasn t tucked in like it was, they broke some engine covers, couldn t find my replacement wheels so ultimately gave my money back for the wheels . They did take it back to address the issues but didn t fix everything I requested they put the light bulb I had in the original light, into the replacement light. After agreeing to swap the bulbs they ultimately refused to fix the bulb and ended up ignoring and not returning all of my calls when I called to address the light issue complete joke and insanely rude to ignore a customer with a complaint I continued to call for weeks and never got a straight answer, I just got pushed away, or they wouldn t return my call . I will never recommend or go back to this place . Complete joke and just rudeServices: Painting, Body & Trim

Very happy with the service received. They worked around my travel schedule to minimize downtime and rental car needs, Larry did a good job communicating the repair status as necessary and the work looks very well done. Would definitely use them again.Edit: Wanted to mention as well that when I picked up the car after the rear bumper was repaired, the entire car looked so nice that two coworkers thought I had the entire car painted! The detail work they accomplished is greatly appreciated.Service: Body & Trim

They kept me posted on progress and even more importantly, did a great job. The body work done is not detectable and the car was returned cleaner than when I dropped it off. Highly recommend Kar Kare. They are extraordinarily professional, and go above and beyond to make sure their customers are satisfied and well taken care of. They really understand the true meaning of customer service and treat their customers like family. I was updated 2x each week on the progress of my vehicle. Even when I had issues and communication problems with my insurance company, they assisted me in making phone calls and closing the loop to make sure everyone was on the same page. I couldn t have asked for a better experience, I would absolutely recommend them, and will not hesitate to use them again in the future should the need present itself.Services: Painting, Body & Trim

Larry and the team here are amazing and did an absolutely great job repairing my VW. This was basically my first experience going through an insurance claim and Larry helped and advised with each step. There were a couple things that I was unsatisfied with after the initial repairs were done, and Larry made it easy to express my concern and took the car back to fix the issues right away. In my opinion, if you love your car as much as I do, you should definitely take it to Kar Kare.Services: Painting, Body & Trim, Welding

With a bit of a scheduling issue upfront due to insurance complications, they persevered in getting my car to me in perfect condition upon pick up as promised. They went the extra mile to get that done. They also cleaned both the interior and exterior....Ginger couldn't have looked any better. Kar kare repair shop of Ellington. I had a great experience at this particular repair shop, from the moment I walked in to get an estimate the entire staff was very professional and was able to answer all questions in regards to my repair. The shop conditions were very clean neat and organized. Upon delivery of my brand new vehicle that they had repaired they far exceeded the expectations of the repair and it was an amazing process I would highly recommend anyone in need of repair to use the shop.

This is the only place to take your car for body work! The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. After a minor mishap, the staff gave us a quote and then went to the trouble to try to find any used parts to save us some money. They were able to come up with used parts which was a substantial savings, ordered them and within a few days was able to repair our van. The work was excellent; they even did a thorough cleaning of the car. We would highly recommend their work and their service. Excellent people to work with and a definite plus to the Ellington business community.

My 2013 Corolla S was hit and needed a new bumper. The staff were incredible and communicative about timeline. They made my rental arrangements and charged the other drivers insurance directly. My car was detailed on top of the repair and they cleared my inflate tires on my dash that s been there for years of which other automotive businesses said they are unable to clear or correct the code. Absolutely amazing work! Went in to fix my rear passenger door that was dented and very scratched, as well as repair my taillight. Ed and his team quoted me about 10 days. 5 days later I just picked up my car and it looks completely brand new, both inside and out. They even gave me a loaner car so I wouldn't be out of work while my car was being fixed. I would recommend Kar Kare CARSTAR to anyone, and could not be more pleased with their pricing, staff, or the outcome.

If you don't mind your car being held for two months and being strung along the whole time with promises of imminent repair, this is the place for you. Also, 20 dollars of change was stolen from my center console. Who knows who had access to the car in those two months? Would never recommend this place.

This review is long overdue. I rarely leave reviews but the great work at this shop deserves 5 stars. Several months ago I dropped off my 2017 RAM pickup to have a dent fixed on the roof. I am not 100% sure but I believe the shop that installed the cap bumped the shark fin antenna on the roof leaving a dent. Barely noticeable but water might leak around the antenna. This involve removing the entire headliner, fixing the dent and then putting the headliner back. Perfect job! Fixed on time, at the price quoted and washed my truck on top of it all. 100% satisfied and have already recommend to others. Thanks.

I believe the Kar Star in Ellington, CT is the most honest and reasonably priced automotive repair shop in the area. All repairs were preformed in the time promised and more importantly the areas of repair and painting they did to my vehicle had it looking like new.Thanks guys (especially Guy)for making my auto repair experience so pleasant!Service: Body & Trim

Ron and his team did an awesome job fixing our car. Our car was new when my wife was rear-ended and after they made the repairs it looked new again. They car was returned to us cleaner than when we brought it in. He handled all the insurance headaches from start to finish which made the process stress free for us. I highly recommend Kar Kare Carstar!

Had someone look at my car for a minor dent repair. Set up appt to meet the guy there for the repair. Went inside to let them know i was there. They said the dent guy wasnt there yet. Thats at 250 for a 300 appt. Waited right outside the door for 50mins. U would think they would call the guy then let me know if hes coming or not. They didnt bother to tell me anything. So i left. Still havent heard from them. Go to olanders.

I just had a Rhinoliner spray-in bed liner application for my pickup truck. I had concerns about the application quality, but Kim, the person with whom I interacted assured me that the technician doing the application was very good. When I picked up the truck, I was pleasantly surprised. My concerns were totally unfounded, the job was incredibly well done. I would highly recommend Kar Kare and Rhinoliner to anyone with a truck.

I recently had to have some bodywork done and my insurance company recommended Carstar. My entire experience dealing with this shop was excellent, from drop off to communication and pick up. They even did a beautiful job detailing the car in addition!

I had my bed liner removed and found rust under. The people at Kar Kare took Extra Care to make sure the rust was removed and primed it properly. He did a fantastic job it looks like a brand new bed after a hundred thousand miles.

My friends and I stopped in after we felt like something dragging under our car. It was a Saturday and there were no technicians. But the guy inside was super helpful and checked the car for us and fixed it for us, no charge just to make sure it was safe to drive. Great service. Amazing customer service. Absolutely recommend!

I dropped my truck off to have the rhino liner sprayed in my truck bed. It looks like it was shipped from the factory with the liner already in it when I picked it up. It looks great! Very detailed clean work and the coordination with the scheduler was great.

I just wanted to take time and write up positive customer experience review for Brad Comollo, appraiser. I sincerely appreciated the time he took to explain the process to me. At no time did I feel rushed and I'm almost certain I probably asked the same question two or three times. He was very patient and answered me in relatable language I could understand. He saved me a lot of hassle and frustration. He really provided an outstanding experience and I will refer KarKare CARSTAR as a result!
