Everyone here I spoke with/ dealt with was so nice and helpful. Even though they had to deliver a bad diagnosis of a blown timing belt that killed the engine, everyone was kind and sensitive about it. Everyone was nice enough to give their advice on how to move forward. The tow driver was patient with my instructions on where to park it when they dropped it off at home. The service agent was so kind about delivering the bad news and was apologetic about having to give it and lady who answered the phone answered all my questions with care. I will absolutely be back with my next vehicle. It was nice to be treated like a human by mechanics for a change and not just $$ signs. They could have given bad advice about fixing my car but instead were very honest. I've been to a few shops over the years and this experience was the complete opposite. They didn't take advantage of the fact I'm a woman, they just gave me the honest truth about my vehicle even if it means they lose out on $$ with labor fixing a vehicle that has met the end of its life. 10/10 recommend.

My insurance company's roadside assistance linked me with Checkered Flag for a tow to my dealer when my car broke down. When Ray arrived, he looked at my car first to see what the problem was and determined that I only needed a new battery. He jumped the car and gave me instructions on how to handle the vehicle until a new battery was installed. He was very friendly and knowledgeable and saved me from an expensive trip to the dealer. I highly recommend Checkered Flag Auto and plan to use them in the future. Thanks again for your assistance, Ray!

Why would Checkered Flag Auto Center on Rt 189 in East Granby, CT charge $100 to remove and dispose of 4 tires? The guy at the counter had to ask the guy in back how much to charge because he claimed that removing tires from rims wasn t a typical thing they did . Don t waste your time with the embarrassing price gougers at Checkered Flag Auto.I went to Route 10 Tire in Granby and was charged a far more reasonable $40.

My clutch went on my car and I. Didn't have enough money right away since I was in a bind after the passing of my father so nate was nice enough to let me leave my car there till i got the money they're good people

I can say that Sean was super polite and tried to reassure me that issue was resolved but two times in for same problem and I was told car would be done at a specific time/day but I had to wait I understand that this was not scheduled service but I would rather be told up front that it will take two days, than be lead to believe that I would get the car back same day or the next day and then have to wait two days! Just be upfront next time I would have more trust in your service ..Services: Electrical repair, Battery

This place has always been phenomenal. I contacted Nick after briefly considering another local shop for a second, and I was swift to be reminded on why this place is beyond the others. They worked with me on the uniqueness of my situation, looked for a tire that was discontinued, and very overall very accommodating get my vehicle in timely. When we encountered an issue with one of the wheels and tire, no fault of the shops but rather totally mine, they were very accommodating to help resolve the issue and get my truck back on the road timely. Their pricing was very fair and in all fairness they really went above and beyond for what my situation entailed. Looking forward to returning for an alignment.Service: Auto tire replacement

I was broken down on the road and i am glad i googled nearby checkered flag auto care. They were out to rescue me in practically no time. The whole crew at checkered flag was amazing. A bunch of real great guys. If you need a tow or repair, you better get ahold of checkered flag if you know what's good for you. Professional as professional can get!Service: Transmission

Terrible!!!!A group of thieves that do bad work!!!!I bought very expensive 75k tires there last year.THEY SUCKED!!!Terrible in the snow and rain.They're bald less than a year later!!!!The installer didn't tighten the lugnuts and I had to go back.I was charged for work that they didn't do.I don't know how they can charge me for a front end alignment when they didn't even tighten the lugnuts and said it was fine.They want $300 just for mounting It's just a terrible way to do business!!!!

Visit #1 Couldn't perform the work asked but they were upfront and honest about it. Staff is friendly and prices are reasonableVisit #2 was great. Quick service and was able to salvage my tire. The only issue was they over inflated my tire by 15 psi so I had to drain it a little. Will continue to come hereVisit #3 was great. Got a decent deal on my tires and car rides smoother. Needed a tow, called Verizon's Roadside Assistance. Was told it would be over a 2 hour wait. But Shawn from Checkered Flag arrived a good 45 minutes earlier than expected, which was very much appreciated. Shawn was friendly and professional throughout our interaction. Excellent service!

Note: No Stars given.In the late fall of 2022, I was advised to put snow tires on the front of my 2016 Nissan Rogue AWD. This spring of 2023, I had the snow tires taken off, and I purchased two used tires to replace them. After driving the car for about 5 miles I began to hear an unusual noise from the drivetrain. It turns out that my differential was destroyed. Upon further research, the Rogue manual advises to never mismatch tires on the vehicle, neither manufacturers, tread pattern, or tread depth.The complete repair job plus new tires cost me $3600. Checkered Flag refused to acknowledge that the mismatched tires could ve been the cause of the problem, even though it s a known possibility. The best they would do was refund me the cost of the two used tires that I purchased for $120.In the final analysis, I concluded it was completely my fault for not adhering to the guidelines that are clearly stated in the Owner s Manual, even though the Checkered Flag owner advised me that it would not be a problem.I didn t expect Checkered Flag to share in the repair cost with me, but I did ask them to re-purchase all the tires (the snow tires, and the other two used tires that were on the vehicle) as I would never have any use for them since I had four new tires on the car now. They refused to offer that small gesture, which signaled to me that my business was not important to them. Therefore, I will not be utilizing their services ever again.Gary VickService: Tires

I was in an accident and they towed my car to the shop, my insurance never reached out to me about handling it in the car sat for almost 2 weeks luckily, the one in charge of towing (Nate) took the extra effort to reach out to me, and my insurance company to make sure that the bill would not run up any higher than it was and after all of the issues contacting my insurance provider, he was truly a god send! And upon having the vehicle towed home I did not realize I needed to show a receipt of payment luckily one of of there workers (Sean) came after hours to print me a receipt and get everything taken care. Everyone I dealt with throughout the company was amazing and there hospitality was absolutely unmatched!!! So thank my car got towed here instead of anywhere else!

Brought them brand new wheels and tires to mount and balance. Paid them for TPMS sensors ($55 per wheel) plus install ($10 per wheel). They upcharged me for the work because I didn't buy the wheels and tires through them which I understand as they are assuming the liability for pretty expensive wheels should something happen during the mounting process. The thing that makes me never want to go back is that they got the tire sealer they use all over my brand new $3,500 aluminum wheels which are now stained and have to be hand polished 2 days out of the box. Also paid for TPMS install AND program but they forgot the program part which isnt a huge deal since I have the programer and took care of it myself. I get that things happen however i feel like if you are going to charge $600 for mounting, balancing and installing TPMS sensors on tires i would expect them to take their time and do their best to be careful which was not the case here.

Four new tires were installed and the car was aligned. As I requested, they gave me a quote for a wheel bearing replacement and I am having that done on Tuesday. These folks give new meaning to exceptional customer service at a tire center! Everyone smiles, are friendly and accommodating. I brought in a small tractor tire for repair. Before I knew it, the job was done and I was on my way. Fair price. I would definitely use again and I am already spreading the word. These folks are GREAT! They deserve all the business they get. I had a memorable experience.

Been bringing my car here for years. They ve greatly improved the business since it was R&N. The owner Nate is a super nice guy and Sean the service advisor is knowledgeable and helpful. Prices are fair and the service is usually spot on. Online booking no longer works, but calling is easy enough for appointments. Will be back.

Had a sudden flat due to a rim leak. The guys in the tire dept handled it in a very timely manner and when I came out from the office they were even putting the spare back.
