First ignore the rake. I have HD Springs and there s no weight in the back at the moment.I d like to thank Jim and his team for taking care of my truck.I went in, to get a BP51 installed, a body mount chop and my UCA ball joints changed. My bolts in the lca froze and they had to cut it out. By doing this my cv boot got a little hole and grease was going everywhere on my ride home after getting everything done. I went back the next day to show Jim, and without hesitation Jim fixed the problem and got it replaced the same day. That meant a lot to me that he did that and took ownership of the issue. He stands behind the work and will do his best to correct the issue.I also want to say, finding someone to do a body mount chop is a PITA. The welds and the chop came out very clean. I was super impressed by how clean the chop was.Im going to let everything settle and see on the retorque if Jim can crank up the coilovers. So it can sit a little more flush.Overall im very happy with the work. Very happy with the shop and most importantly I would recommend people to get work done here.

This review is been long overdue, so back in April I went to EVB and asked about a lift for my vehicle, I should of known better by the mess in the showroom and front desk, looked like a tornado went thru there, unorganized to say the least, a guy I believe his name is Jim attended me I m not sure if he s the owner or just a manager, but the guy could talk, must of been a salesman in anther life, he gives me the info on the lift kit says everything will be fine, I was bringing in brand new tires so he said not too worry about alignment because he had just purchased a 60k dollar alignment machine but in the end I learned he must of had a 14.00 an hour tech operating it, was promised the vehicle in one week, week goes by nothing no calls nothing, I call and they say waiting on parts, parts came in after I called again for status on vehicle, then they tell me the lift wasn t for my vehicle and were going to have to re-order the correct one, how did they not know what parts to order for the correct vehicle From the start, now I m starting to get a bad feeling about this place and the attitude I was getting every time I called, we re into 2 weeks now and I need my car, parts came in now I m getting calls from front desk guy (never Jim) that mechanic is having problems with front end existing parts that won t come off due to wear and that I ll have to replace everything, that s when I blew up and told them why didn t you look over the vehicle while it was sitting there all this time and inspect it to make sure the lift would work, bcuz if it wouldn t I would have taken my vehicle back and canceled the whole thing before anything was ever done ! ..no answer on that, then next day I get a call saying the tech used a torch to heat the bolts and got them off, well why didn t you do that in the first place! Week 3 and I get a call to pick it up after it was aligned, little did I know what I was in store for! I get the SUV home and I notice fluid in the drivers side wheel well, took it to my mechanic bcuz I had had enough of EVB and found a broken bent brake line, that day I had lost my brakes, and the alignment was bad, car was shaking at 60mph badly, and tires were rubbing after I paid extra to trim any plastic that might of been in the way, I called back and told them what was going on, kid at counter told me the tech who worked on my vehicle had been fired (oh really) then proceeded to tell me that lifted vehicles with bigger tires will always shake at those speeds, that it is made for off-roading, well I didn t get a off roading lift it was just a lift to fit a one size up from factory tire, told me to bring it in, then I get there and he s like making an appointment for me to leave it again when I thought they d Check into it that very morning I came by, I said sure and never came back, took it to professional alignment place and they said tires were off balance and my SUV is no longer shaking after 60! Sorry for the long rant but you folks need to stay away from this place, it s a mess over there, and then to tell me the tech who worked on my vehicle was fired ..they ask for payments up front and I believe they use the money to pay employees wages or other outstanding debts before they even order your parts! I had to have my vehicle looked over by professionals to make sure it was safe for the road after this ordeal! I do not recommend them!

These guys are amazing. Went in to do a 4in lift, new wheels and tires. They did an awesome job realized my dream of having a lifted truck. Explained everything I wanted done on my truck and they did an awesome job. Don't have enough words to thank these guys. If you're looking for quality work take it to EVB. These guys know what they're doing. Thanks for realizing my dream EVB!!!

Professional and Knowledgeable. I did some research prior to choosing a shop to work on my Jeep, and trust me, this is the place to go for your performance upgrades! They worked on my Jeep JL and did a fantastic job!

Update- since my install I found 2 bolts were not installed correctly (improper length) one sheared out and left me clanking all the way home. I had to swap the fwd and aft links even after bringing back due to improper installation.

BE WARNED. EXTREME VEHICLE BUILDERS ARE A COMPLETE SCAM. Besides being crooks these guys are completely incompetent. I spent $2500 on a lift kit and tires in April . The kit never came so they re ordered another kit eventually came but it was for the wrong model jeep. So again they re ordered the kit not until after I dropped my jeep off did they realize the kit was broken. Now it s been 5 months since I initially ordered the lift kit so I told them to cancel it and I would like a refund. Johnny said no problem and I would be credited back the money over 2 months after that still no refund / no kit / no communication. I call these dudes constantly with no answer or call back. Possibly the worst small business in America.

From day one, Jim and Adam have been nothing but great. They took my stock wrangler and turned it into an off road machine. Whenever I need help, no matter how small the request, they are always there to help. I can't imagine taking my Jeep anywhere else.

Had to edit... I was required to pay for all repair parts in advance because they were 'special orders', including things like o2 sensors. Then parts weren't coming in due to shortages, although I was told they were 'tracking' them more than once. Despite a deadline of 3 weeks to finish the work so I could pass emissions, 2 months later it was not finished. I finally got my Jeep out of there and took it someplace else. In 1 week all work was completed, with no back ordered parts or special order bs. EVB still has my money for those parts. Clearly they did something else with my money than buy parts for my vehicle. And I have also heard stories of similar experiences. For instance, are they even a licensed repair shop? Avoid this place at all costs.

The team at EVB DELIVERS!! Johnny, Jimmy and the boys just finished the custom build on my 2018 Jeep Wrangler Sahara JK 2DR using all American Expedition Vehicle parts and it came out amazing! Even better than I had dreamed. They were professional, organized and detail oriented from start to finish. They got the job done on time and at a great price. Couldn't be happier! I would recommend them to anyone looking for an "extreme vehicle"

I ordered a tire carrier from Amazon that was supposed to be 2 day delivery, one week later it never showed up. I spoke with the team here, they were very happy to help and they could get it next day to the shop. The carrier showed up on time and I picked it up a day after I ordered it, brought it home and put it on. I'll order all my Jeep parts through them from now on. Excellent service!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Jim, the owner, took the time to give me a tour of the place and answered all my questions, in detail, regarding future modifications on my Jeep. Also, charged me $240 less than his original written estimate. Honesty and integrity....very rare nowadays. I highly recommend!!!

8 months for a rear end rebuild. Had to bring it back 3 times. Kept saying it was done even though they couldn't get it in spec and didn't check why they couldn't get it in spec. They threatened "things can go missing" when I questioned their quality of work. I'd give zero stars if I could.

These guys are simply the best. They have done a complete Jeep for my son and now are working on my my Ram Rebel. Amazing attention to detail and extremely knowledgeable about anything off road or performance oriented. Very fair with pricing. Wouldn t trust my vehicles with anyone else. Keep up the great work guys. You have a customer for life.

Went in on a Saturday to inquire about having work done on my lifted '04 F150. Woman and gentleman at desk didn't know much other than "they wouldn't be able to take the truck for some time." I said that was fine with me. I left my name + number + email per their request. I was told I would receive a call back by Tuesday some time. It's now almost 2 months later. I never received a call. This is a huge disappointment since I read some reviews and they seemed positive (while others were not) and a friend gave a strong word of recommendation that they have since apologized for and expressed that they would not recommend them again.Seems to me like they are only interested in working for friends or friends of friends. It's who you know, right? Also seems like they only want to work on Jeeps. While other vehicles bring in revenue, I have a feeling they would any Jeep before my truck. (I also own a jeep!)I will be looking and taking my business elsewhere.

Terrible alignment. Had my buddies truck done here as well as mine. Zero craftsmanship and zero respect for vehicles. My front tires wore out extremely fast and I brought it to another place who said my alignment was very far out. Buddy had custom powder coated work done under his truck which they scratched and chipped. Took chunks out of his tires. Couldn t give me a print out of my alignment because they said the machine came unplugged after they did the alignment. I did buy my lift from them and their prices are very fair.

Did a great job repairing my wrangler. Everyone is truly in tune with their work and even went as far as to stay after hours to diagnose my problem and make sure it was fully repaired. It's refreshing to see a group of people that care and love what they do for a living.5 months later and i am still beyond happy. fixed my problem and followed up with a check up., unheard of out of an auto business.

It is always nice to deal with real people who enjoy what they do. I have dealt with Jim and Adam many times and they always take the time to talk with me about my Tahoe even when they have a lot going on in the shop. They are the type of company who knows how to build a project correctly. They have the experience and recommendations to get it done. Great thanks to the whole team at EVB.

Utilized EVB for several projects. Extremely knowledgeable...professional service and highest quality. They Stand by their work...had LED headlights installed and wasn't happy with performance and they tweaked high/low beam switch. Fog lights flickered and and returned to shop and they took me in immediately and replaced anti-flickering device.

I looked at Alec's review but I had a great experience myself! I put a power step in my jeep and Adam was very helpful. I can tell he had a passion for what he does. It took an hour less than he had quoted and he was honest and told me about it and I paid lower than the estimate! I'm going back and would recommend them with no hesitation.

I gave it a few months to make sure my engine didnt fall out because of some of these reviews. I have nothing but good news to convey. I had them put on a BDS leveling kit and some new rubbers. I live an hour away so I stayed the entire day to have it complete. This team is nothing but professionals. They were extremely nice and even included me in their lunch plans, as they had my vehicle in the back. I got this done back in January and have been living it. The Nitto's are great tires, I feel I could have gone one more size up in tires but at the end of the day, I am very happy with the work and the professionalism of this place. If I had to give one "needs improvement" it would be to upgrade their waiting room. They desperately need a new couch, coffee table and maybe a TV lol.I would recommend this place to anyone needing work done. All around very satisfied customer!

I had a 2:30 allignment appointment, I ended up sitting around until 3:45 until they actually brought my Jeep into the shop and still when I drove it home the problem was not fixed. They charged me over $100 for an allignment that one of the mechanics said to me wasn t perfect but better. It wasn t any better, if anything it was worse than it was before. I want to like this place but this was my first time doing business with them and it was not something to go back for.

Website, google and thier own message says they open at 9 on Saturdays. I showed up at 10:15 (I did not want to be the guy waiting at the door.) To price and most likely order a small Coil Over lift & a weight distribution hitch) for my 18 Tacoma which I need sooner than later. Im picking up a camper in 2 weeks and need to have the vehicle done. Sad that they run thier business this way.

Real pro s here. They provide sound advise on the best way to accomplish what you re trying to do, so that in the end, you get the best product possible. Jim and the staff go above and beyond, no matter how big or small your project. Will not go anywhere else! Just an awesome experience from start to finish, even though it took a while to get the right rims and tires in for my T4R! ;)

Incredible guys. Just Incredible.I was on my way to NYC for a work contract in my 1974 Airstream Argosy Motorhome when the engine died just outside of the ironically named Mechanicsburg, PA. Not a good situation. I don't know many people in the Northeast and I especially don't know any mechanics.I contacted a friend who I know is a total gear head and asked him if he knew anyone who could help me out. He told me about Jim at EVB and that they work on Jeeps and off road stuff but maybe Jim would work on my camper since he also has campers with the same type of motor (a 454). My buddy called Jim up and thankfully he said that he'd help us out.I had the motorhome towed to Danbury and went to meet with Jim about it. Before we even spoke though, I walked through his shop and noticed one of his guys spray painting some silver screws black so that they'd look nicer when applied to the bumper he was installing. Having been in the car business before, I thought "now that's attention to detail."Upon meeting Jim, I knew we'd come to the right place and felt confident he and his mechanic, Chris, were the right guys for the job. Jim explained to us (the wife and I) what was wrong, what needed to be done and that he intended on going through the entire camper for us to make sure that we'd have trouble free adventures for the foreseeable future. The motorhome needed a new engine and to have the entire front suspension and steering column rebuilt. He advised us to go with a Jasper 454 engine as it had the 3yr 100,000 mile warranty, they cover a larger percentage of shop labor, and there is a nationwide network of shops that can do the warranty work.. He also had Chris work on our generator which hadn't really worked since we'd purchased the motorhome a month before. The work was spectacular (minus the generator...more on that in a minute). Expensive, yes, but spectacular. It took EVB two months to complete all the repairs and the bill came in considerably higher than any of us expected, but we were ok with that because the work was quality. I mean really well done. When we test drove the motorhome after the new motor and new front end were done, we seriously could not believe it was the same vehicle. It sounded great. It rode great. The steering was nice and tight, the motor hummed (quietly). It was amazing. We were so happy with the work these guys did. I honestly wish I could take all of my vehicles to them (but can't as I live in Texas). Jim is honest and forthright. And he really does care about the work that comes out of his shop. Chris is an expert and did a fantastic job of showing us around the motor and how to care for it. Jim spent all kinds of time showing us things about our motorhome that we didn't even know we needed to know and in addition, he even drove 45min to where we were staying in the camper to check on the generator when it wasn't working right (turned out to be low oil). I've honestly never had such a disastrous mechanical issue and can say that this was the best experience from a repair shop that I could have asked for.Jim is also really responsive to emails and has helped advise us on an off road vehicle we recently purchased. I think maybe we bug him too much but he still responds. :)On a not so great note though, the generator has again stopped working and we need to have it checked, but overall, the camper runs like a cheetah.

Don't go here... Jim and Adam are lazy, incompetent, dishonest, and sneaky. They offer ridiculous prices for the services they provide and charge you an extra arm and leg for any service they think you may need. Clayton Offroad in East Haven CT is 100x better and their estimate was more honest too. Funny how EVB found ways to add $1,000 to a simple re-gear while others had honest quotes and prices. On top of all that Jim (the owner) didn't return calls and hung up on me many times while I was trying to get details about the quotes I had gotten. I was recommended to come here and now I am recommending that you don't go here. Stay away from here!!!

Jim and Adam helped me turn a stock Chevy Silverado truck into my own. I didn't do anything crazy, just a 2" level kit and new wheels along with some steps, etc. Adams knowledge of tire sizes and dimensions is mind blowing. He is a living wheel calculator. Jim, (I think the owner), still loves his work and shows passion. One of the workers saw me overlooking my truck in parking lot and came over to see if I was happy. Every time I go there, they give me the time of day, great chat, super experienced guys who make this sport fun for us non mechanics. I would definitely recommend these guys. AND I appreciate their shop. Parking lot is tight, so I was nervous leaving my 2015 Chevy there, but they took care of it. Thanks guys

Brought my car to the dealer for an electrical problem. Before even looking at the car they do a front end alignment check. It shows the front end is out of alignment. Not trusting them, I brought it to Jim to check it out. Turns out the alignment isn't perfect but it's well within specs. PS. Don't trust dealer testing to up-sell you. Trust Jim to tell the truth.

So helpful. I was in a bind for time. Needed to go away for a weekend meet. They got me ready in time by calling in an extra welder who repaired the ripped off track-bar bracket on my JKU. Thanks guys. Already told my neighbor who also has a JKU and is looking for a good place for mods. For anyone on coastal Fairfield, they are an easy Uber ride from the Danbury train station.
