We brought the wife s vehicle here for an alignment. I was happy they were able to get it in on such short notice as we called and got in on the same day/morning.The staff and service were both good. The vehicle was in quickly and she was out in a reasonable amount of time. The alignment came out well. Everything went smoothly as could be expected.From what I have seen and experienced, this is one of the better Firestones in central CT. Probably because there is a corporate office next door.

Nick and his team are spot on. Customer service is a lost art these days but this team is awesome. I live closer to the Middletown location but choose to come to Cromwell for this very reason. Keep up the good work guys!

My many dealings with the Cromwell Firestone have generally been positive. Auto repair and maintenance isn t cheap. But Firestone offers some deals that other places don t, such as their Lifetime Wheel Alignment program. If you have a new or relatively new vehicle, definitely sign up for this program! You pay for 2 wheel alignments up front, but all the remaining wheel alignments for the lifetime of your vehicle are FREE!

Ordered our new Turanza Quiet Track tires by Bridgestone in advance for our two cars per their recommendation. They called and said they were in so we made an appointment to come in. Hubby and I drove our cars in at the same time arriving at 8:45 a.m. We both were finished by 10 a.m. Great diner across the street if you don't want to wait in the waiting room. Nick is the manager and he was great. The tires are "quiet".Service: Tires

Analysis of the problem was expedient. A fair and proper solution was provided. I waited for near two hours, but there was no way around that. A new tire was provided where the damaged one could not be repaired. Associates were kind, respectful and honest.

I had my front brakes and rotors replaced about 18 months ago. I brought it back in because they were already warped. The gentleman who helped me did not show any concern for my concern that 20,000 miles is awfully short to need new rotors. He just kept telling me that they were no longer under warranty. I will not be going back to this store for any reason. Ever since the old manager left, I have not had good customer experiences.

Girlfriend goes for an oil change. She always goes there because it is close to work and convenient. They sold her on a "deal" for a cabin filter change. They charged her $88 for it. When she told me, I showed her it takes less than 3 minutes (with no tools) to put one in. A filter can be bought for less than $20. She didn't know. Not her fault. Not only that, all the contents from her glove box were dumped on the floor and ledt there. Really? It's not enough you trick people, but you leave there car a mess. It is shameful that a business takes advantage of people. Go to your local shop for a second opinion and qoute, always. She decided to no longer do business with them. Firestone, it is wrong selling people a service they don't need and/or over charging them. Shame on you. I know this is get nowhere. But I hope it helps someone out there save money. Go somewhere else. This place will screw you if they can.

Fantastic customer service!Worked with Nick to get new wheels and tires for my truck. He was great to work with and very responsive. He did a great job keeping me up to date on the shipping status.Once everything was in the shop, the crew was very timely on getting the truck up on the lift and wheels/tires replaced.Could not be happier with the service. I will definitely be headed back in the future.

They installed new tires and they fell out of balance. The weights fell off and they wanted to charge me again to balance them. Take your business elsewhere people. When they don t cover the simple things why would they cover anything else

Had an appointment for 9AM, said i needed the work vehicle back by 12. They said no problem. Called at 12:15 to get an update and they said they needed another hour to finish something. I said ok no problem and rescheduled my meeting at a hospital for later. That was the last i heard from them. My ride to Firestone had to go to work so i was dropped off at 2:15 to see the car sitting out front. Never got a call to say it was done. Very poor communication.

I would give less than one star if i could. Avoid this shop they are awful. I went to have a plug put in. I had called first to see if I could get in. Sure no problem I was told. Not true I waited for over an hour. I watched my car sit on the lift for nothing Car done or at least i thought . Fast forward one week and the plug is leaking. I have now had to have someone else put a plug in. GO TO TOWN FAIR TIRE. that is where I should and will always go

I have never received service so excellent and extraordinary before. I work in Newington, CT, an hour from my home in Stonington, CT. Upon getting ready for work I had a flat tire and had to fill it and drive an hour on it. Triple A came to my job to replace my tire with a donut but I would not have made it back home on a donut. I rushed out of work looking for a place last minute to replace just one tire. I was turned away from Goodyear, I was turned away from Firestone in Newington and New Britan, at 6:30 pm on a Monday. Both locations were NOT busy and simply refused to take on a customer for a tire change. It was a shame, and they shouldn't be doing that at all.Firestone in Cromwell, was EXCELLENT. I called John in a panic and he and his team were helpful, quick and affordable. John said that the other locations should not have turned me away. Please PROMOTE JOHN!!!

UNSAFE, Dishonest, unprofessional and possible criminal style management behaviors in my opinion. I personally watched them try to swindle naive patrons especially elderly women. It took them four separate times to fix my brakes that were under warranty. I had to bring my car back FOUR TIMES in a span of 10 days. Every time they tried a cheaper and LESS SAFE fix in an attempt to not have to honor the warranty. Their motto is fundamental honesty, and I personally would love to see them take that sign down, because their behavior is the polar opposite of their company values.

Scheduled the first appointment of the day, came in before the store was even open to get my tires changed and they had taken two people already, with the first person not even having an appointment. Terrible customer service at the desk, Jon wanted to get argumentative when I asked what the point of having an appointment was. Been coming to this place for 10+ years, service has gone to hell. Had the same issue a few weeks back with my girlfriend s car, too, an appointment at 10AM didn t get in until late in the afternoon because we weren t going to wait for the car. A tech came into the desk with the audacity to try to claim you waited at a doctors office with appointments, too. Don t waste your time here.Services: Tires, Wheel alignment, Brakes, Brake service & repair, Oil change

Check engine light came on, on the highway stopped at a shop in Rocky Hill was told I d have to leave it over night. Went to Firestone in a Cromwell & the store manager Juan was honest transparent about everything up front and got my car back running smooth in a few hours. I m a single mom and it was Mother s Day weekend, he really has no idea how much him making the time to help me that day changed the course of my entire week.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Been here several times but had bad service every time for a wheel alignment and tire rotation. Every visit, they did not rotate tires correctly per explicit request from tire manufacturer and over-torqued my tires every time. I can verify this when I took to a different Firestone store was told they doubled the torque to 180 ft-lbs when it is specifications says 88-90 ft-lbs. They still can t get the lug nuts off with a 6 ft. cheater bar. The most basic maintenance can t even be done correctly. Avoid.Service: Wheel alignment

Came in at open 7am. Needed new tires. Explained I needed it done so I could get on the road. The manager made it a point to get it done ASAP. 2 hours later mission complete. Great service, clean, priced right. They know what they're doing, very professional.

They were going to charge me $125, didn t tell me what was wrong with my car, and made me sign up with them to get it for $50. They told me there were 7 error lights, and said my car would cost over 1k to fix, and to go to a Ford dealership. I thought this was sketchy since they didn t tell me a thing actually wrong with my car. I drove an hour to get to my old reliable repair shop I used to frequent before I moved, and my old repair shop said what the problem was within 10 minutes, charged me nothing, and are going to fix my car tomorrow. Had these guys align my truck. 2 months later, I did some front end work(pitman arm replacement, and needed another alignment. Came to the store, and they told me my truck was too big for the rack . The same truck they aligned on the same rack 2 months prior. Laziness. They wanted me to go to another store, which I had to schedule a new appointment for. Sub-par customer service. One guy behind the counter was cool, although the shop hand out back that refused to service me, was very unprofessional. I ve worked on automobiles for a long time, and have never experienced that type of laziness. I understand it s a Saturday afternoon, and you don t want to be at work, however, you are at work. No reason I should have had to waste my time because of a workers laziness.When I initially brought my truck in, they took it for a test drive, and I could hear the truck screaming down the road, unacceptable. Yes the truck is loud, it s a big turbo duramax, however it is completely unprofessional to drive a customers truck like you stole it. Now I have to install a valet mode tune, which locks the truck to 20% throttle. Can t trust these guys.Now it gets worse. When I had my initial alignment done, I heard these guys convincing and elderly lady into doing a brake job, which is disgusting.Won t be bring my service back here, nor sending customer, friends, or family their way. Stay away. Other locations are better.Service: Wheel alignment

My significant other was returning from the workday to find a pretty heavy leak on his front passenger tire of his 13 Outback. Thankfully, we came down over here and Zack was able to help us last minute to get a tire and gave us a really good deal, I haven t had very much luck at the Manchester location for my own personal vehicles. Highly, highly recommend I would recommend this location for the professionalism, and the at-home feel. No ones trying to work you over for your money, very understanding, super appreciative for their services

At first when I started coming to the Cromwell location of Firestone I was weary and unsure of the service quality of a big chain store I felt was only good for tires. Over The years, I have been pleasantly surprised with the outstanding service, extreme level of professionalism and fair good prices of all their services -not just tires.I've bought over 2 full sets of good quality tires with a great deal of savings and Ive also invested in the lifetime alignment package which is only about $50 more than the one-time alignment. Ive had my van aligned around 5 times now and it has paid for itself after the first alignment.The Service Writer/Manager JASON has outstanding customer service skills. He's understanding to the customer needs ,he's patient and willing to help out the customer anyway he can.Whether it be breaking down intricate mechanic talk to the average person who's not mechanically inclined or admitting that they may not be the best place for a service your vehicle may need. He's always smiling and very kind.I know Everytime I bring my van there I'm getting good mechanic service , with none of the extra nickel&dime frills that most shops do to customers.That alone has gained my loyalty, for I have wasted so much money and time listening to the managers of other shops not realizing they are just "salesmen" and they don't care about their customers like Firestone does.I appreciate JASON and his whole crew at the Cromwell location.

Pulled in with 1 frount tire on fix a flat.Had called before I went they were busy but said they could get it done. They had to get the tire from the next shop over. 40 minn later I'm on my way out..They get it done everyday. Tire balance is on the money ! I would recommend this location . They took great of me. They deserve this review.

This was my first time at Firestone and, though very busy, they were very personable, compassionate and helpful. Service was quick with the number of cars/appointments and all the staff kept with covid protocol. It didn't feel stressful sitting and waiting for a couple of hrs on their detailed look into my vehicle after having a small incident with a curb at the beginning of the first snow storm (the ice was hidden and these things do happen). This location is worth the wait, especially thanks to Jason (i think that was his name) who made great conversation while rushing about keeping what looked to be a good flow for the technicians. I bought Firestone Firehawk tires for 2019 BMW X3 back in may 2022 and I came here to have them installed on my new tires. After that, one of my tires juggled like crazy when driving. I went to Firestone a few times trying to fix it, but they refused. As of May 1, that tire still juggles. This Firestone service is horrible. I will never come back there again.

Have always been friendly and easy to book appointments with, but a few months ago told me I have 3mm on my brake pads and probably need new ones soon. My dealership told me today I have 6-7mm and am fine. Obviously they can't be trusted, so no point in wasting your time here especially when there's multiple trustworthy shops within a 5 mile radius.
