127$ for a synthetic oil change?! I would recommend going elsewhere they will run you about 80-90$. Only reason this gets two stars is because the mechanic was a decent guy.

These dudes effing rock. Super cool awesome laid back. I go there almost any time I need emissions done as well as oil changes. They're quick and do a really great job. Highly recommend

Went in for emissions test, no line the guy working was just wandering around the shop looking confused told me to leave the money on the counter about 15/20 mins later what I can only assume was the boss showed up.. instantly worker guy switched gears and took my car in.

Wouldn't do emissions because something was blocking what I guess is a vin location. Ok makes sense I get that. Asked how do I get it out. They said we would have to remove your front windshield. I said no. Got home, used a piece of copy paper and removed it in seconds. It was a parking permit paper from I guess a previous owner. We just got the car yesterday. The guy assumed I was hiding something and was very rude mannered. Not just, I'm having a bad day rude, but more like I wasted his time instead. Waited there 30 minutes for all this to happen. Now I have to go back but they close in 30 minutes. Monday here we come. Remove windshield lol ok buddy. Thank you for the embarrassing encounter.

I went in to get an approximate pricing for a needed repair. Due to the repair needing to be done I had a friend drive me to prevent further damage to the vehicle. What appeared to be the manager came out a back room in a very rude intimidating manor not even a hello just upsettingly telling me they can t do anything without the car. I explained I took detailed pictures of the car for them to see but I decided to just leave as he was very rude regardless. Horrible customer service!

I went to the to the location this morning for an emissions test. After waiting about half an hour, the car as done and brought out. The technician was still talking to someone else while I waiting on for the paperwork and my key. The tech hardly looked at me and just handed me the sheet and my keys. I went out to my car and immediately noticed a very strong smell. It was clearly that of dirt and sweat and odor that certainly was not there prior to my arrival. I got to work and I called as a courtesy to the location to let them know, that I felt the person who worked in my car had left a residue behind. The person I spoke with on the phone, who I am quite sure is the owner, said, "he showers every day" and hung up the phone on me. I called back , asked if he hung up, tried to explain again that he was being rude and my vehicle smells so bad even one of my own employees could smell it, and again he yelled at me, "my guys showers, why don't you go take one!" and slammed the phone down again. This rude behavior to me is unacceptable and I even left a complaint with the State agency in charge of the emissions services. 0 stars would be my option, and I do not recommend their services to anyone.

Extremely rude manager/owner.My car ended up there after an accident on Sat. The tow truck driver gave me misinformation. I was ready to call AAA Sat to have it towed to a body shop. and regret not doing so. The manager called me a liar when I repeated what I was told on Sat by his driver.The local police called them right after the accident. I was quite upset and was not consulted as to who I wanted to tow my car, or where it would be going.Lesson learned.Avoid Marvins!

Very bad experience my car end of here after a crash an stay there 2 days when I finally get my truck they steal from my a hitch from my trailer and 100,000 candle light flash light and a mirror passenger side this people suck

Went for emissions testing. No appointment needed. Got in and out within 15 minutes.

Never again! The sign said park here for admissions so my wife did. The staff came out and told her that she couldn t park there, some randomly placed cones were supposedly blocking it off. My wife asked where she was supposed to have parked and they said there, but that they had to park it, something about the pavement.Then, the service people were so rude that my wife said, I ll do this another time. She saw tire tracks crossing this forbidden pavement and asked them how they got the cars in, they said that they have to do it.Then, when my wife took the money back the man complained that she hurt his finger when she pulled the $20 out of his hand. Really? What a wimp, my wife is a slight, polite, well spoken women with long experience dealing with the public. Wow! Marvin s Midway Auto is not going to last long if they can t even get through a vehicle emissions test without offending the customer.

I stopped in for an emissions test and the staff were friendly and efficient. I don't think I was there more than 5 minutes before they finished. When they were done the employee brought my vehicle around front and backed it in to make it easier for me to exit. To me it seems like a friendly place where they pay attention to the details that matter. Definitely would go back.

I've dropped off my car here roughly 8 times since moving to CT and each time has been a great experience. All the employees are helpful, honest, and work hard for their customers.Each job has been completed without a hitch and the prices are reasonable considering they are running a small business. Additionally, the turn around has been extremely quick, usually finishing a job within an afternoon.

If there was a way to rate this place a 0, I would. The boss is rude to the customer's, including women. He swore at me because he was frustrated. Very bad attitude to say the least. He delivered my husband's vehicle back to us damaged and refused to take responsibility for it claiming that it was probably already in that condition. To say that I wouldn't recommend this place is the BIGGEST UNDERSTATEMENT EVER!!! ( MY OPINION AS A FORMER CUSTOMER)

Went for emissions test. Didn't take long. However, I had to go back as the employee didn't return my registration or give me the report. Partly my fault as I should have realized it while I was still there.

At 9:15 I called about getting an emissions test and was told to bring it in. Once I arrived, I paid my $20 and waited about 5 minutes for them to take my car into the shop. Process was quick and hassle-free!

Brought my Mercedes in thought it was the motor mounts making the terrible noise (another shop diagnosed for $1300 fix) come to find out it was a $600 job and not themotor mounts, shocks or struts. Very honest guys.

I went in for emissions testing. The employee who helped me was very nice and the test was done quickly. He was also nice enough to put some air in my tires. I would recommend this shop.

I went there for an emissions test and the knucklehead that drove my car smashed the gear shift so hard he broke it. They acted like it was like that all the time, didn't offer to fix it it, and didn't apologize. I took it to my regular mechanic who found the problem and told me that they must have really been jamming it into gear to break it.

My wife and I were on vacation in the area and needed some emergency work done on our car. We were referred to Marvin's Midway by someone from the area. Dennis was able to help us, and quickly diagnosed the problems and provided us with a firm price for the work. We picked up the car the next day and were totally satisfied with the speed, price and quality of the work done.

TERRIBLE Scammers. Do not use. They scammed my 85 year Uncle into paying for 2 tows. We told them someone else will come to tow it from there. They wont even tow it to correct address.

Brought my vehicle in for emissions and had read the reviews and made a mental note of what was in my center console due to one review about missing sunglasses. I dismissed this figuring it was a one time event. When my emissions was completed the attendant pulled the car out and I got in and put my insurance card , registration card in the center console and immediately notice an item missing from the console.I got out of the car and the attendant came out and asked if there was a problem I told him I was missing the item and he denied that he went into the console. The item was only worth about 5 bucks. I didn't pursue it any further and left. SO WORD OF CAUTION DONT LEAVE ANYTHING OF VALUE IN YOUR CAR WHEN LEAVING IT THERE. (NOTE TO ATTENDANT I DID TAKE A PHOTO OF THE CONSOLE BEFORE GOING IN )

Bert's a reputable guy. He won't "steer" you wrong. Plus he rents UHAUL trucks and trailers, and does CT State Emissions.

DO NOT USE THIS SHOP ! Jordan Parker inspected my car and stole my RayBans !!! Was caught on a camera I have Inside my car and refused to give them back and the owner Bert Marvin is yet to try and help !!!!! DO NOT GO HERE AND DO NOT TRUST JORDAN PARKER !!!!!!

Friendly local auto shop. Went to have emissions testing done and they completed it very quickly for me.
