Started off as a great experience (we love the car), but we got talked into the glass coating protection plan, which we thought was a no-brainer. After having the car inspected for a wrap on the top, a reputable company informed us that the car has no ceramic coating. We were shocked, so we had it looked at by another company known for ceramic coatings, and they confirmed there was no coating on the car. We called them up, and they claimed to have done the coating but had no solution for us. Understandably, we are very upset; we gave them a chance to offer a solution or make it right, and they basically just said, we did it, and that was it.The car also has swirl marks and did not undergo proper paint correction before it was "coated." Walking out after spending $100,000, we should be 100% happy, and we definitely aren't. We feel like we were swindled. I will give two stars because the salesman and the people who gave us the car tutorial and set up were very kind and informative. However, their response to a very valid complaint is unacceptable.Update: they sent us a check for a refund and never spoke to us again after we filed a claim with the BBB- we aren t the type write bad reviews and are sad it was the only way to get resolution. Will update to 3 stars since they refunded it.

Bought a used truck here, clean carfax at the time. Several months later they published records that show the vehicle was in an accident and they processed some of the associated repairs, they also screwed up the mileage recorded during service by the previous owner so now the vehicle is flagged for odometer. The whole purchasing experience was unpleasant, and I would never go back. Had to have transmission work done, brought it in for a scheduled transmission diagnostic, when I arrived they said they were too busy to do any transmission work. So far my used truck has required over $7500 in extra repairs. There is simply no reason to buy a vehicle here, you should go somewhere else if you value your time, value reasonable service, value a dealership that can actually help you with repairs and lastly, value honesty.

The service rep that I worked with was wonderful however, I was there for nearly 3 hours for an oil change and an inspection on my passenger rear tire for air leakage and was told a new replacement valve was needed.Once my services were concluded And the cost was $220+ dollars later, my vehicle was ready for me to drive away. As I left in route to my home in Winsted Connecticut, I kept noticing a noise coming from the rear tire And every turn that I made along the way home it was a thumping/ thud noise. I pulled off to the side of the road, turned off my vehicle to go inspect the back rear tire, and upon my shocking surprise, the LUG NUTS were all loose on the rear passenger side tire. This was a serious oversight made by your auto mechanics. It s taking me to the core because I was in route to go pick up my grandchildren from school. Luckily for me I was in a location that was not far from Lombard Ford in Winsted Connecticut I entered their show room, and one of their associates. Heard my please, for assistance to check out my vehicle for safety, and to be sure that the rear tire was secure as well as all the rest of my tires. It was overlooked at your dealership that my rear tire needed further attention, and wasn t diagnosed properly. I did call and speak with the associate that helped me at your dealership and he is fully aware of the situation that occurred and also spoke with the manager at Lombard Ford that further explained to him they found my vehicle needed rear wheel bearings. This was another oversight of your service center at your dealership. I am sorry to say that I do not have any confidence anymore with the services from Stevens Automall service center in Bristol and will not be coming back in the future.

We have bought 3 cars now from Stephen s, thanks in large part to Akeem Dennis. We communicated very well, and he was able to match us up with vehicles he knew we d enjoy. Through Akeem, we have a relationship with Stephen s that will preclude us from shopping elsewhere. We thank him for his kindness, his candid nature and his friendship.

My lease was running out in September so while I was getting the car serviced I decided to pop upstairs to look at some cars to get an idea of what my options were, for when the time came to return my car. This was on a Friday. Jose, the sales manager approached me and we talked about my current car and what my options could be. He spent about 40 minutes answering all my questions even though I didn t have an appointment. He even looked at my car to see the condition it was in. I left that day feeling really confident in what I would do at trade in time. My husband and I returned the next day so we could both look at the car I was thinking about. I honestly did not think we would be leaving with a new car that day, especially because I didn t make an appointment. Well, Jason, whom I d met the day before was there to help us out, and next thing I know I m trading in my 2015 RAV4 for a 2018 Highlander! The process was smooth, everyone was super helpful, and I couldn t be happier with the service. I highly recommend going to Stephen Toyota. The sales staff are super friendly, there is no pressure from them to buy, they are extremely knowledgeable about their product, they have a great sense of humor, and make the process as smooth as possible.

We worked with Jason from start to finish at Stephen's Auto Mall (Toyota), of Bristol. Jason was friendly, but not pushy, knew the vehicle we were interested in, as well as his competitor's. After shopping around other dealerships for price and other vehicles, we came back to Stephen's to make the purchase. The whole process was much easier than we had experienced with other dealerships. Jason spent a great deal of time going through every detail of the vehicle and synced up my phone to it as well. Highly recommend both the dealer and Jason Rivera!

Wow this place tries to find the most expensive way to repair your car! Beware!I went there in August and had no air conditioning and they estimated $1910 to replace the evaporation core and I thought, I can live with no AC.... welp, just went to a local mechanic who discovered a missing fuse... $20 and my AC is working perfectly. THANKS Cliffs automotive in Terryville!!That same visit - In August - they got $700 out of me for new brakes that had to be replaced again in December!!!! ... never going back!!!

Over the weekend, I helped my mom purchase a low-mileage Certified 2014 Toyota Rav4 from Stephen's Toyota, and we worked w/ Saeid. She had been in an accident recently, and she was in the market for a new vehicle. However, being recently retired, she is on a very strict budget.We have spent the better part of three weeks researching vehicles and dealerships. She has test driven many vehicles, including the Mazda CX-5, Subaru Outback, and Hyundai Tuscon, just to name a few. We had visited numerous dealerships in the Hartford area, and we were getting more and more frustrated with the process. From overly pushy salesmen to completely disinterested ones, plus ridiculous "no-haggle" gimmick pricing, we had experienced the full gamut.Finally though, on a whim we decided to check out Stephen's AutoMall in Bristol because we saw online that they had a huge variety in a single location. When we pulled in and began to browse, we were greeted by Saeid ("Sah-eed"). At first, we just wanted to check out what they had, so of course we told him we were "just looking," and he gladly allowed us to look around without hovering or stalking us. He did however offer some good tips on where certain things were located on the lot, and offered to assist if we wanted to take a closer look at anything. Which we eventually did.After Mom homed in on a vehicle, he grabbed the keys for us and she took it for a spin. During the ride, he asked Mom about her accident, and showed genuine sympathy for her whole ordeal. Thank you Saeid.Next, we went in to "talk numbers." After some initial negotiating, it seemed like we might have been at an impasse, but Saeid and the sales team managed to hit our number, and she signed the contract. Although their original sticker was fair, any savvy car buyer knows to negotiate, and we were able to get a knockout deal that Mom was very happy with. Overall, the entire process was relatively painless, and Mom drove off the lot with her new vehicle later that day.I rarely write reviews, but I felt like the positive experience we had at Stephens was worth taking the time to write about, because I know the car buying process is a daunting one. As consumers, we rely on the real life experiences of others to sift through the noise. I hope by sharing our story this will help others to make the right choice, and choose to shop at Stephens, and I highly recommend you ask for Saeid. Good luck!

When I walked into the Stephen Buick GMC showroom this morning, two things happened. I joked about the SUV in the middle, the real cute one, "Sure I can afford that ha-ha." And I was totally expecting to be dry cleaned emotionally, disrespected, outright lied to, like all the other car dealers.I drove off the lot today in that cute SUV because the salesperson, Paul, listened to me. No.... He looked at me, paid attention, asked questions about what it was I wanted. He was also honest, gentle and kind, and the business/finance manager (I forget his name; tall, sweet eyes, loves his family) spent half an hour with me answering questions and easing my fears before he went the steps farther to explain why x financial option was better for my particular needs *rather than* y option - something no one has ever bothered to answer.I went to four dealers before I ended up here. Frankly I was exhausted, not looking forward to another search for an affordable, reliable unicorn. All other dealers have been focused on pawning off junk to me or charging exorbitant interest in the name of profit. Not these guys.They know, since they've been selling cars in Connecticut since the late 80s, that trust is everything. And they know I'll be back to trade in that vehicle. And they know that I'm going to tell everyone I know that they were good to me when I needed someone to trust. It felt like a hug. Go see these guys. Even the woman at the finance desk was kind, funny, and wished me a happy ride home in my new car. I haven't felt this safe in a long time. Thanks Stephen Buick GMC.

Took my car in for oil change ok good job with that. Told me I had an axle leak charge $590. Took it to another mechanic in town for a second opinion, and to make this short, there was no leak. I won't be back until.

The overall experience was not pleasant. Multi billion dollar company has a limit of 5-7 loaner cars. Huge parts shortage. No accommodations for it's customers. I was told no loaners available everytime I came to have my vehicle serviced. I don't feel like the customer is the primary goal. I am in the automotive industry. I have worked at several dealerships. I have never seen customer service like this. Better communication with the customer. In three weeks very little updates on the progress. Just a simple hi Mr. Henry parts are not in yet, we will contact you when we have any news. Simple acknowledgement. I should be your mission to make every customer feel welcomed and appreciated. With out customers you have no business. I don't know if race played a role in my experience. But I feel like it did. But my vehicle is fixed. My wife and kids are happy. All is well. Thank you have a wonderful day.

Mike was great! Friendly, helpful and personable. A little pushy but that's expected from a car salesman... I didn't feel overly pressured. Marian, the finance guy, was also helpful and friendly but shockingly more pushy. When I had my credit pulled, I was already 90% on board but wanted the night to confirm I was making the right financial decision. He told me that they didn't want to hold the car overnight unless I was 100% on board because the car is VERY popular and they didn't want someone else to lose out on it... BUT I felt like since it was SO popular, even if I chose not to take it, they would sell it soon anyways. That was the only reason I don't give it 5 stars. Frank, who helped me the day I picked up my vehicle was super helpful with understanding the car and the OnStar system. I appreciate the team that I worked with. Their knowledge was very helpful and professional.

The GMC Service Manager, Tom, was amazing. We needed repairs for an older corvette. He took care of our vehicle like it was his own and kept us informed throughout the service process. Also felt that the cost was extremely reasonable. Thank you Tom!

Thea from the service Dept. was amazing. She really wanted to help me with my issues with my Buick Enclave. She was great with talking to me about my vehicle and making a decision on looking for a new car instead of putting so much money into my car. Then Connor from the sales team and the finance manager Derrick really worked at getting me into a vehicle. We weren t able to get me into a vehicle but they are still looking for me and I appreciate everything. These people from Stephens Buick GMC Cadillac were amazing and I would definitely recommend them to anyone!

I have previously purchased from Stephen's, so I was a returning customer. After deciding on a vehicle they told me the price was $47,000, which was the sticker price and claimed they couldn't go lower for a used car. This was a lie. Then I pulled up online that the used car was advertised at $45,000. The EXACT car I was looking to purchase that they quoted at a higher price. I told them that I would purchase it for the advertised price of $45,000 if they were to certify the vehicle. Well, they wouldn't do it unless I paid $600 over the advertised price that they initially LIED ABOUT. You would think that after they LIED (and were caught lying) that they would give better customer service. This wasn't the case. I no longer plan to purchase cars from this dealership after they mistreated my business for hours and hours of my time, with a complete disregard for the customer and no accountability for quoting a higher price on the vehicle than advertised.UPDATE: Stephen Automall Centre reached out to me and corrected my previous experience. We reached a deal that I was very happy with, and I deeply appreciated the professionalism of making the customer happy.

My wife and I had a fantastic experience with the sales team at Stephen AutoMall. Every person we approached made our time there enjoyable. Andrew Hall, the sales manager, was incredibly generous, straightforward, and helpful. Not once did we feel like we were being pitched the same story told to the last person that walked through the door--they were authentic and tailored to our needs without making us feel like we had to wrangle the truth from them.Special thanks and appreciate for Victor Ortiz, our sales consultant. He gave us space when we needed it and answered our questions when we had them. We never felt badgered or smothered. When he said he would call, he called; when he said he could do something for us, he did it. He worked so well with us and helped us find the vehicle that met the needs of our growing family. Even though they were very busy, they were able to squeeze me in and replace the battery in my car. Their driver, John gave me a ride home, and he is such a friendly gentleman. I was pleased to have my car back before noon. John Vitale is a great Service Advisor, and it's my trust in him that has kept me going back to Stephen's.

I was excited to look at buying my first car. Overall story-I will not be going back and do not recommend this dealership to anyone. If you are hoping for a welcoming and positive car shopping experience this is not the place to go.I walked into the dealership and was not acknowledge. I understand employees are busy but a simple: "Someone will be with you shortly" would have nice. Fast forward I find a salesperson and tell them what I am looking for and some of the features that would be nice to have. I never indicated the model I necessarily 'needed' to have. I filled out the payments that I was looking to have only to be shot down immediately. I didn't even get to test drive the car which I asked to do before even talking numbers. After I was told the monthly payments I was looking to have were not acceptable I was brought to the finance guy clearly as a joke with the price I was looking for. Again told that my payments were not possible.... I understand that it's not possible to satisfy every customers 'wishes' but I was not even given the chance to discuss how we could work to: find something in my price range, work to get to the monthly payments I was hoping for, or even test drive the car to see if liked it....

Had a great experience purchasing my vehicle at Stephen Toyota. No pressure, very polite and professional sales people. Fran Hughes was very knowledgable and made the process very easy. The sales manager Jose Ramos was able to get me an excellent price on my vehicle with little to no haggling. Overall i was very impressed with everyone and i would definitely recommend this dealership to my friends and family.
