Well first of all I have my own business renting out cars. I had a Guest who rented out my car. He caused a tire damage to my car then just left my vehicle in a unsafe area. I had to retrieve my car and get roadside assistance. First of all, the service was covered through my insurance. The gentleman who performed his service did a phenomenal job. I highly recommend their roadside assistance service.

I was in need of having an antique car towed and RJ Shore provided this service with ease! The customer service from my original phone call to meeting the technician who delivered the car was fantastic! They were able to provide the service quickly and efficiently. Very happy with the outcome. I highly recommend!

I had a great experience at RJ Shore in Branford. Every person I talked to was very helpful and kind. My car had a bad heater core that needed to be replaced. For those who don t know, this is a very big job. They were able to get me in quickly. I was updated throughout, the car was finished exactly when they said, and they charged me a VERY reasonable price. I will absolutely be coming back here.

Tuesday 12/26/23 my car broke down on the side of I-95N. After calling AAA, an RJ Shore Automotive driver, Pedro, was dispatched to come to tow my car for me. He arrived on time and was very professional and knowledgeable. He was also very considerate and accommodating, considering I was on the side of a highway, in the dark, on a busy holiday week. I would definitely recommend them for any towing needs.

I went in to get an oil change and I wasn't talked into getting a bunch of things done. They mentioned some things that may need work that didn't even have to do with my oil. Get service and lovely people.

Called to make an appointment to have 4 tires mounted, balanced, and an alignment completed. I told the person on the phone I have the tires and provided my vehicle information. I was told it would be $25 to mount each tire, and $89 for the alignment. I made an appointment a week in advance to have this completed. I dropped the truck off on day of right after the shop opened. Service man asked if I had been given a price already at which point I told him what I was told on the phone. He agrees and gives me a total amount. He then calls me an hour later to tell me they can t honor the price quote and that it will now be $35 per tire plus alignment.I call the business at 1pm and ask for an update and explain I have to be at work at 4pm. They assure me it will be completed by 3pm. I arrive At 3pm to pick up my truck, and they just started the work. The tires weren t completed until 4pm making me late for work. They told me there would be no charge to dispose of the old tires and told me the boss said I had to take them back with me. They did not complete the alignment, and they told me I had to schedule an appointment for an alignment another day which I refused and went somewhere else. I Would NOT reccommend, and will never give them my business again.Service: Tires

Literally the best auto repair experience I have EVER had! They got me in the same week I called. And they were so accommodating to my schedule that they got my car finished before I needed it to be done. The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. I did not feel jerked around, and I feel confident in my oil change and new breaks. Coming back here again and again!

I ve been to RJ Shore Branford twice and has been a great experience! First was my brakes and the second was a rattling noise. Both were completed same day drop off! Chris and Rob were great at following up with me on the repairs! Highly recommend!

RJ Shore Automotive in Branford is great! They are my neighborhood auto service provider and I love them. A billion times better than a dealership for my 2011 Subaru Impreza, which needs some love from time to time. The team is fantastic, incredibly friendly and caring, and a lot of fun to boot. They always get me in and out quickly, are totally honest and transparent about repair needs and pricing, and inspire trust. I would not go anywhere else! Awful service. Was left stranded on side of road from out of state. Truck was towed there because they said they could look at it within a couple days. Two weeks later they never looked at it. Had the truck towed to a Ford dealership and they looked at it the next day as promised and was repaired within the week. Best part, was charged by this shop for an hour of labor to push the truck into their shop and push it back out when I towed it to another facility. I wish I could send the bill to them for the wasted week of expenses it took waiting for them to look at the truck.

called AAA for a motorcycle tow and they connected me with RJ shore. I was weary of using them because the last time I tried to use them they left me stranded on the side of the highway because of the incompetence of the associate working there. That was 3 years ago. She is probably long gone. Well guess what? No notification of the driver coming until I get a call he's outside. OK no problem be right down. I go down, he's gone. So I call him back, "hey are you here?" "I left bc AAA won't pay us if there's no registration." "OK well there IS registration, I have the paperwork and plate in my hand. I took it off because I was looking to do a trade in. driver. "oh" me: "Why didn't you just ask before leaving? I waited an hour for you to get here?" he blames the dispatcher. So an hour wasted. I put in a new service request, asked in the notes please tell the driver not leave before I get down there." and I just sat outside waiting. Soon after the dispatcher called. "sir we left because there's no registration." me: "yes there is, I told the driver and I'm telling you. Why wouldn't either of you just ASK me? it's a simple question? Now I'm wasting even more time." so they are allegedly on the way. well, 90 minutes goes by, I call AAA, they say "we will check with dispatch" place me on hold for 10 minutes and hang up on me. My next step is to just call the garage directly. Mind you it's been 90 minutes already. Their one flat bed is on the way to Wallingford from who knows where. So they have no ETA for me even though my original call is now almost 3 hours ago. So they absolutely screwed me again. I'll never use them again and never recommend anyone else to use them either.

Do not go here if you are looking for professional service. My car was in this shop for SIX WEEKS and all it needed was one part, a body control module. They did everything but fix the car so I eventually took it out. In those SIX WEEKS they bought two bad parts that then broke other parts, one of their technicians regularly missed full days of work (Alex) while another one (Harry) got fired two weeks into my repair. The shop asked me to buy a part off of eBay to continue the repair, which is fine. That part was delivered and sat at their shop for four days before it was touched. I then found out they sent my replacement body control module to the wrong location two days ago....so ordering parts is also where this shop has problems. No communication either even when someone says they will give me an update by the end of the day. I only know these things happened because I call the shop after not hearing anything for multiple days. And to finish my experience, the owner (Rob) proceeded to blame his staff for this terrible experience as I took my car out of his shop. Yet not once did he call me during this SIX WEEK ordeal. No ownership, no leadership. This is not a customer first business. There was absolutely no urgency to get my car back on the road. Save your time and frustration and find another shop. Especially if you need your vehicle for work as I do. This has been a hinderance to my livelihood and easily the worst experience with any business I've encountered.Service: Auto body & trim repair

I had a difficult situation this morning with my car but I had the pleasure of having this company come to assist. The gentleman who dealt with my car issue, was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and helpful. I would highly recommend this business to anyone in need of auto assistance.

John Paul was WONDERFUL. Honestly, I had a flat tire late at night after working a loooong shift at the hospital. He came to my rescue even earlier than expected time. I felt very safe, he put the spare on, even followed me to the nearest gas station to help put air in the spare.Just an all around upstanding individual. Highly recommend this company for your towing needs. (AAA approved and used)Thank you again!!!

DO NOT go here. They charge $125 for diagnostics. They wanted me to pay $715 for a new distributor, which I bought online for $100. They charge $125 an hour for labor and then told me it would take them an hour and a half to do the job $125 x 1.5 hours + diagnostics ($125) + new distributor ($100) = $450... They tried to scam me like I can t do simple addition, but really they are the ones that can t. Oh well time to do the job myself in 30 minutes because that s really all it takes, AND I m saving $600.Service: Auto engine diagnostic

Was fairly certain I knew what was wrong with my truck, I thought the fuel pump went out. Instead I had a wiring harness go bad, and instead of ripping me off which they could have done very easily, they were honest and fixed it for much cheaper. The staff were extremely nice. Me and Brian and bros now. I highly recommend using them for any of your vehicle needs!

Our car broke down at 1pm on a Saturday, they took us in and let us stay there until we found a rental car. We found a rental car that was in horrible condition and they helped us clean it out and let us stay at the shop until 4pm. They were super helpful and even helped us find a different rental car place that had cars in better shape than our current one. They are kind, respectful, and super willing to help.

I would recommend RJ Shore Automotive to anyone having problems with their car! I am not from the area, so I didn't know where to go and really needed my car to be fixed over a weekend. They had my car towed almost immediately and were able to get it fixed the next day. They also took the time to explain everything to me, which I really appreciated. I will definitely be going to them in the future with any car issues.

Went to the lot the day after my son got into a fender bender. Service manager told my husband and son to call our insurance. Said he can't do anything until he hears from them. By the time my insurance company informed us that they didn't have to get involved (we had no collision as the car was very old) RJ auto racked up our bill to almost 500.00 for sitting on their lot. We wanted to have the car towed to our house. We could have just paid and been done (about 130.00). I tried to reason with both the manager and owner. Not even to waive the whole bill. I get they are a business and I took some responsibility for not being fully informed about how things work. They would not budge. The service manager wanted nothing to do with me as I was outright told by the owner, because I wrote a bad review on their face book page. He did have total attitude and was completely condescending. Didn't own up to what he told us. After I spoke with people, I heard a lot of negative things about them. Be careful. Don't get your car towed there and make sure you are informed about how things work. Otherwise, they will take advantage. 480.00 to sit on a lot. Disgusting.

Hands down THE BEST. I am a first time referall customer; my grandma has been getting her car worked on here for years for a reason. The staff is really helpful and service was quick. I ve never in my life had such fast, on-point service (I ve often been without a car for a couple days with brake repairs in the past). Really cozy waiting area with coffee, water and tv etc. Will definitely be returning to these guys for any future maintenance on my car!

Fast, friendly and painless service. They handled everything from the insurance company, the rental car and to making sure every little thing that needed to be fixed was fixed and worked properly. They made sure any question I had was answered and any concern I had was no longer a concern. My car is whole and beautiful again, but the one thing I loved about RJ Shore Collision the most is their professional attitude towards me no matter how much I bothered them that made me feel important like a friend or family member would. RJ Shore Collision in New Haven, CT is now and will always be my #1 recommendation for a body shop. They really do go the extra mile to make sure the whole process is a painless as possible for you.

I have been using RJ Shore Automotive for a number of years now and although I always praise them on social media sites, I never wrote a review here.From oil changes to breaking down and needing a tow, the people at RJ Shore have always been there for me. The work they do is affordable and done right the first time. They even have someone who will drive you home and pick you up (if you need it) so you don t have to sit there waiting.I wont bring my vehicles to anyone else!

Horrible, horrible business. If I could I would give this business zero stars. Our insurance company recommended R J Shore to tow our car that had been damaged by vandalism at our apartment complex. The day they were supposed to pick up the car they said they couldn't get tires in time. Meanwhile our landlord started to have serious issues with this vandalized car just sitting in the parking lot and threatened to have it towed if we did not take care of it. Three days later when they finally received the tires they said they couldn't make it because the tires were at their other location and that this other location was already closed for the day so we would have to wait. Next day they said they would come in the morning between 8 and 10 am and no one showed. By the time we got home from work that day, which was over 5 days from when they said they would first pick up our car, the car was STILL in the parking lot and our landlord had us towed. Every time we called them to ask about the status of our tow they were clearly agitated that we were even calling, were very short with us, kept pushing us off with nonsense excuses and overall horrible customer service skills. In the end they NEVER DID WHAT THEY SAID THEY WOULD DO. Do not recommend this company for any service.
