I needed emergency hood repairs on my 2008 Mazda 5 involving replacement of the hood release cable and hood latch. After consulting with a local body shop, whose owner claimed they would have to back-order the parts through a Mazda parts dealer; involving a wait of 5-10 days before delivery; I decided to consult with Charlie about my repair dilemma.Lo and behold !;- Charlie was able to order the needed parts and do the required repairs within 24 hours and charged a reasonable fee for parts and labor and was respectful of my questions and concerns about my car and was happy to provide an honest estimate of my total bill before doing the repairs.I will definitely be using his services again as finding an honest and experienced mechanic who will work with you to provide the best and most cost-effective approach to repairing your car is a tough call in this economy and is something I value and appreciate asa woman who s been taken for a ride more than once by other shops.Thank you, Charlie !

Note: I'm a mechanic, I just regretfully brought my car here because I was diagnosed with cancer and was too sick/busy with treatment to work on it myself. First off, this guy knows nothing about cars and even told me that he had to watch YouTube videos to try to find a fix for the problem. He'll also charge you for repairs that he never completed, and on top of it all he desperately needs anger management (along with his wife, who - among other things - told me that she hopes that I die of cancer). Check out his shop's Yelp review for someone else who says the same exact thing about his anger issues, along with another review here on Google. I had to get the police involved just to mediate lowering the price because I had pictures of parts that he claimed needed to be replaced or were missing and it was impossible to communicate with him through all the yelling, swear words, and threats. Note that a mechanic should NEVER replace parts or make repairs without consulting with the customer first that it's OK to do so and provide an estimate (it's actually against CT law to do so) - but I didn't hear from him until he was "done." No estimate was provided, no phone call that he was doing any work, nothing. I also had to have the police present just to pick up my car so that he would act amicably - which only ended up keeping him from making threats, but insults came from him nearly every time that he took a breath. If I had recorded the "conversations" that we had on the phone then there's no doubt that I would have been granted a restraining order as well as him being charged with intimidation and criminal threatening. Not to mention that the car was in even worse shape when I finally got it back. Find a different mechanic for the sake of your safety, your car, your bank account, and your sanity.Service: Engine repair

Charlie is the best. Very honest and reliable. He won't sell you stuff you don't need.Very reasonably priced. He has to be the most honorable mechanic in the area. Works on most foreign cars.

Tried to make an appointment but instead he was ripping my head off because I told him what needed to be repaired. He was yelling at me that I'm not a mechanic and until he tells me what's wrong with the car, I can't tell him what I thought needed to be done. Very hustle attitude.
