D&L is the appointed company for the Red Roof Inn where I am currently staying. Anyone who parks in the hotel lot must have an up-to-date parking pass visible at all times. This past week, I didn't get a parking pass. I chalk it up to having a different desk clerk. So this morning, I come out and find *nothing" where my van should be. I got the tow company info from Carol at the front desk (the most wonderful front desk person ever!!!!!) and call. I'm a fan of Parking Wars etal and was expecting the worst. Instead I found BEST. The was the nicest and most helpful person ever. She gave me all I needed: where to go, the cost, and where they are. When I got there the gentleman at the desk was positively delightful. Chatting and joking with him eased my fraying nerves. So if you are in the Berlin area and need a tow, I recommend D&L.

these people really suck, they were called to bristol ct to tow a couple of cars that were parked were they were not supposed to be and i was told that they would give the driver the heads up and they did not show up at all, this is what i would call. piss poor service, when they are under contract to do what they are hired to do. if i had to hire them, i wouldn't waste my money with these people at all. i would look else where to find better service. be very ware when dealing with people like this.

My friend and I are currently staying at a hotel, and my friends car was towed while he was in the emergency room. The hotel staff gave me this company s number and name to call, and try to rectify the car issue. Multiple texts and a voicemail, and not one response. This company had no problem towing the car so where is the customer service??? My friend can t walk due to an injury and now doesn t even have a car to go home. This is completely unprofessional. I assume they just keep vehicles to accumulate fees and take advantage of people by picking and choosing how and when they get their vehicles back. I am hurt by the actions of this company, and the complete disregard at my attempts to get this situation straight. I will also be contacting the BBB.

Horrible people. Rudest i ve ever been treated by a company. Was avoidant with questions and treated me and my car horribly. scratches all over my car. horrible service. rude people. never coming back.And damaged my vehicle. and blamed me when they towed a 30 year old car. Wouldn t deal with the issues and threatened to call cops when i said they have to take accountability. old guy at the counter is a joke.

This is a sleazy gimmick business what they do is they have people at the housing complexes with a pocket full of their cards and they just walk around and drive around waiting for one wrong move of a person parking their car even as for 10 minutes in an unauthorized spot and then if it s after hours or weekend, even if you go there within a half hour after they pick your car up, they will charge you a late fee. It s a system that they have to make a lot of money. and when you call to inquire about your car, you get several different answers from different people they really don t know what the heck they are doing

Never fun getting your car towed but they very considerate&polite. My mother's truck was towed rightfully so lol. But we treated them with respect &they did the same. Empire on the other hand horrible horrible place.

Horrible company my they towed my car from where I live because it had an expired registration I had paid my late tax bill on October 18 2024 and motor vehicles did not notice I paid my last delinquent tax bill my car was sitting at the parking lot where I live since October 24, 2024 until Jan 29th with an expired registration and the decided to ow my car thst night they are the rudedt people i gave ever seen they wsited that long to tow it then I told them that motor vegickes fi not reslize that my tax bill had been paid and wanted to get reimbursefd for the towing they said they were just doing their job trust people i am calling the bbb

First of all, I thank God and ask him to have mercy, because they have no consideration, they are bad, there is a fat man with a beard who makes fun of people when he is taking the car, that is wrong, that is not done because the Bible read that with the bar that you measure God will also measure you, you took my car and after you took it you made fun of me, injustice does not please God, I continue praying that God will keep you and have mercy on you, too You took the car to a friend who only left the child to take care of while she went to work, the disabled child in a wheelchair, that is not right. God is watching over you.

The worst people I have come into contact with no manners and no respect for others. If you have an accident or your car breaks down and they arrive decline service they are the worst humans ever .

Worst customer service ever never wants to do there job propertie manger needs to find a new company someone is Parked in my spot that I pay for and told me management has to call. I talk to property management and they told me that we can call but the guy is so rude and said not so now I have to park far away with a 2year old child

This company are some scammers im a tow truck operator and they wouldn t release the car because the customers car was unregistered but that dont matter cause i was going to tow it out for the customer dont do business with them

Even though they towed my friend car they didn't have to let her take it cause it wasn't registered but they did and he even put it back up on the truck and towed it to another parking lot because he couldn't let her drive it out of the yard so we followed him up the Berlin turnpike to a empty parking lot where he dropped it and she drove it from there He didn't have to let it go and she would have lost her car by the time it would have taken too get it registered a two Hundred dollar bill would of been $1,000.00 or more She definitely lucked out of that one thanks tow truck driver for being understanding

0 star for SCAMMERS they took my tractor trailer and remove my truck GPS in order for me to NOT locate my truck they called me 5 days later and want to charge me yard fees.

The two officers I dealt with were the coolest. Nicest nicest cops I ve dealt writ you. I couldn t have been more impressed by then way that the state police form the Cromwell area handle the. Tire situation.Thanks again,Kevin Masotti

TOP NOTCH COMPANY for commercial truck repair. Extremely grateful for the quick service I received. Front differential went out. I was back on the road within a day. Knowledgeable techs, reasonable rates on parts and labor, FRIENDLY!! Truckers, you will NOT be disappointed!!

I was already having a tough weekend, and I woke up Monday morning to find my car was missing. I'm familiar with the fact that D&L services the property I live in, so my first action was to contact them. The person I spoke to was pleasant and explained the situation. Unfortunately, it was a lapse in my registration. The alternative would have likely been much worse. I was able to grab the cash I needed and picked up my car within a couple of hours. When I arrived, I was handled efficiently and effectively, and I made it to a significant commitment on time. Thank you, D&L towing! All the best.

Today is the day after the bomb cyclone hit the Northeast (including CT) - Sunday, Jan 30. Being somewhat new to the state, I struggled to find a place to park that was off the street due to the parking ban - every public place that was available was packed with cars. I quite literally did not know where else to park except for a nearby private lot, thinking that there might be some grace extended considering, again, a *bomb cyclone* hit us on Saturday. I even went to check my car Saturday night and it was still there, so I figured I was safe at least until Sunday late morning.Well, I went to grab my car Sunday in the morning and it was towed. I called this company, they told me it would be TWO HUNDRED THIRTY SEVEN DOLLARS. $237. In cash only, by the way - they will not take any other payment other than cash.This was within 12 hours of them having towed it. Again, *the day after a bomb cyclone hit our state*. I come to find out that it was actually $180, but they charged an extra $50 for me to pick it up on Sunday, a day they're "closed" (I put that in quotations because they weren't closed to towing my car, I would have had to pay *even more* if I waited until Monday, a day they weren't closed, they had 5 people in the office when I came, and it was clear they were busy with a number of other people in the same position). I acknowledge there were a number of other factors that led to me getting towed, and if I had known of some public place to park where I could safely walk home after parking, I would have. But I couldn't. That part isn't this company's fault, but 237 dollars (and charging either $50 to pick my car up Sunday after they towed it late Saturday night/sunday morning or charge me $100+ to pick it up while they're open) pushed me over the edge.I pity anyone so desperate to leach so much money from people the day after a blizzard-bomb cycle hit the area.

Unhappy with the high price they charged me for hitching my container. And supposedly towing me 12 miles. I lost sleep, they made me feel petty, and over charged me

It sucks when you have to talk poorly about someone s business but with my whole heart I m telling y all . Don t give this company your business . Sneaky and very very dishonest people and the owners wife I m assuming with the way she speaks and degrades people she needs to realize She don t run the dang world and should learn to speak to people like they are HUMAN. If I could I would give this company zero stars . Scammers and fueled by greed.

My car was parked in an unmarked zone and it was towed late at night at an apartment complex. Not only are they sleazy but there was damage to my vehicle and they refused to acknowledge any responsibility. Would never recommend this business. Very unprofessional company and workers. Dolly towed a luxury vehicle too.

After picking my sister up from her job and dropping her home this evening I parked my car I go upstairs to say hello to my nieces within 10 mins of being here we go to put the pass in my car to prevent towing I find my car towed. Very unfortunate that I have to over $200. It is a desperate time for everyone, so I do understand companies have to make money but to watch someone get out of of their car to set up towing. Very sad.

Had my car towed by D&L TOWING, due to it breaking down, and I (immediately and at same time)had to go into hospital for an extended amount of time, unforseen, and Every Single Time I called D&L, someone kind and courteous answered the phone and helped me out with info. I was in hospital for about a month and a half and having my car in impound was super stressful as well, but D&L made it The Least stressful it could have been.Always communicated w/ me, and we're understanding and patient with me while I was working on picking my car up. Prior to posting this I read some of their other reviews and... it doesn't even sound like the same company as the one I'm reviewing here. Everyone went above and beyond to be helpful. Im actually pretty glad it was D&L who towed my car. I highly recommend D&L towing.Also, loved knowing that my car was safe n secure as there is always someone on premises 24/7.

Extremely corrupt and immoral business. Towed my legally registered and insured cars ( 2 vehicles towed 4 times ) from the same parking spots. Even after being informed CSP were now involved still towed anyway

They love to target high-density, low income condos. They'll just drive around checking plates and/or VIN numbers of vehicles in the respective owners spots then charge slightly over $200 for one hour or one day. Price goes up from there.

Had to get there after they towed my car. It cost $301 to get it from them. They only take CASH - which is ridiculously outdated today.

I understand if I make a mistake in parking or my registration expiring but they charged way to much for a few hours of being there and anyone I ve told about what they charged me agreed it was outrageous especially at the fact it was literally the day before the holidays

Very disrespectful and don t know how to speak to people. They come into your parking lot area and sit there watching people and wait for you to get out your car to tow it. Really sneaky people and don t recommend property managers to use this company.
