We've been working on fixing up our family cars with Action Automotive and buying used cars with them for 10+ years. We really appreciate working with Dave and Chris all these years. They also have one of the lowest "conveyance" fees in the state, plus free oil changes on the purchased vehicles. No pressure sales style, no upselling gimmicks. Truly hard to beat in CT. Glad to have them around the neighborhood to help out with all kinds of car trouble.

Dealing with Dave at Action Automotive was a great experience. I had been eyeing a Subaru Forester on his lot for a little while. I went to a few dealerships and couldn't stand the environment. I finally stopped in to Action Automotive on a Monday and took the Subaru for a test drive. By Wednesday, the car was mine. It was easy to contact Dave. He answered any and all questions that I had. He helped me get financing and that was a breeze. He provided me with all of the info I needed for my insurance agent, and that was taken care of very quickly. I would totally recommend Action Automotive to anyone! Added bonus.....Echo, Dave's dog is super cute!

Extremely Disappointing ExperienceI recently had the unfortunate experience of dealing with this car shop. From the outset, the service was nothing short of disappointing. The owner displayed blatant rudeness and unacceptable behavior.Throughout the process, I encountered unwarranted racism, which is absolutely unacceptable. The owner not only failed to provide the expected assistance but also resorted to yelling, creating a hostile environment.This experience has left me deeply dissatisfied, and I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider choosing Auction Automotive for their automotive needs. The lack of professionalism and respect is not something any customer should endure

We've been looking for a vehicle for almost two months now and I have to say some places are better than others. We've been here a couple of times now and each time we have visited not one sales person has come out to greet us and ask if we needed any help. There were a few vehicles we liked but the milage not to mention the price was crazy. Don't know how dealerships can sell cars with such high mileage for such a high price and call themselves reputable. But who knows right? Just my opinion. However I do suggest that they pay more attention to people when they show up to look at what they have. A customer who's not greeted may be a customer lost.

Dave and Chris are very easy going guys to talk to! From the test drive to signing papers for purchase I never had an issue communicating with them, they were able to answer all my questions via email too! Even afterwards, they told me if I ever need anything (oil changes, tire rotation, or anything) I can contact them which made me feel very good. Thank you !

Absolutely beyond ecstatic over the entire car buying experience at this dealership! Cannot be more thankful that I was fortunate enough to have gone to see these guys. Stellar from A to Z. Chris went above and beyond for us and was all encompassing in regards to customer service. Do yourselves a huge favor, take a ride over to them. Within the first 2 minutes they'll have you won over too and the icing on the cake? Your new car will be waiting for you when you get there. Kudos fellas, absolutely fantastic Will most certainly be seeing you all again.

Purchased a Grand Cherokee back in 2016. I've never had a issue with Dave and Chris. Since I bought the car I get the annual complementary oil change and all other things are well taken care of for a price that suits the age of the car in a reasonable manner. Dave changed my starter under warranty while he was doing a regular oil change without even asking because the car sometimes didn't turn on in the cold.If you're looking for an affordable car and honest trustworthy service, this is the place to go!

My son put a deposit on a 2010 Nissan on 11/21/22 signed paper work and agreed to supposedly some MINOR REPAIRS. He has been getting the run around from these people (Dave) for almost two months now! Every time he called there was a new problem.They were replacing the axel, they were trying to figure out clicking noise, then it was the transmission, and they were waiting for the parts. With promise after promise it will be ready next week, next week, and next week, which turned into almost two months. WTH are these parts coming from a slow boat from China! If this car according to Carfax only had one owner WHY all the problems?! I'm confused! The only answer he got was I'm sorry here's your money back. Save your time and money look elsewhere. I would not recommend this Mickey Mouse dealership to my worst enemy!

SNAKES, THIEVES AND SCAM ARTISTS! NEVER BRING YOUR CAR HERE! I brought my Mini Cooper in for a simple oil change; nothing irregular, no oil light on, etc. When they finished the oil light was ON! I quickly brought it to their attention and even though they told me "it's safe to drive it", I KNEW BETTER! They would have had me BLOW UP MY ENGINE! I had to insist they keep it and find out what THEY DID TO IT! After a week they could not figure out what they had done. I TOWED the car up to Mini Cooper in Hartford and they looked at it. Action Automotive had REMOVED A PART! It cost me $800 to replace! I have EVERYTHING DOCUMENTED!!!!!UPDATE: Dave Hutchins and his team in Berlin ABSOLUTELY DID SERVICE MY CAR! LIARS!

I recently purchased a used car from Action Auto and had a great experience. Dave and Chris were happy to help me find the car I was looking for.3 weeks into my purchase the u joints started to go. And without question Dave told me to bring it in...A few hours later he called and told me it was fixed FREE OF CHARGE.They stuck to their word regarding the 30 day full warranty without any questions asked.Highly recommended!

The owner of Action Auto as well as Chris are phenomenal individuals. I bought my daughter's car there this past April and all I have to say is, I strongly recommend this used car dealership. These 2 gentlemen have been pleasant, honest, and very reliable. I am thankful for their honesty and help.

Worst car buying and fixing experience of my life. Bought a car from this dealer and an extended warranty. Engine broke down 3 months later. They gave me a hard time about fixing it. It sat for two months while paying my payments just for them to not figure out the problem and tell me they can't fix or tell me what's wrong with it. Not gonna give you a book to read but if you buy from here you will regret it!

On January 1st, my Cavalier died. I needed a new car and would not settle for anything less than a Chevy. So began my internet search....where I found a beautifully kept 2006 Chevy Equinox (my dream vehicle) at Action Automotive. I read the reviews on them and was a little skeptical, but I am one to form my own opinions, and I REALLY wanted this vehicle. So we went down to test drive it, and I fell in love. Chris and Dave were incredible! They both were so helpful and Dave was patient with me, answering all my questions honestly (I had a LOT of questions), and helped me get into this vehicle in every way that he could. I could not understand why this place and these guys got the reviews they did - I had an awesome experience with them! Never once did I feel like they were trying to take advantage of me and just get the sale, nor were they ever rude with me. Today, I took it for the first oil change since I bought it in January, and the service was still just as awesome. I was in and out of there within a half hour. I highly recommend these guys if you need a vehicle - you will NOT be disappointed!Desiree Schmelter

Just visited this place today after calling a few times. No one ever got back to me when I left a voicemail. And the guy I spoke to today seemed to be the least concern with selling me the car I was looking at. I did a credit app online he looked and said that the bank denied me, I asked if that was the only creditor that they dealt with he replied yes. Now I have bought alot of cars from lots and have never heard of them using only one Financial institute. Like I said, it felt like the guy DID NOT wanted to be bothered with me. Truly pitiful!!!!

Bought a Wrangler from Dave and Chris and couldnt be happier. Professional, easy to deal with and honest. They did a through inspection before i picked up the car and found (and fixed) some issues I didnt pick up on during my test drive. Highly recommend. Thank you both!!!!

Excellent purchasing experience. Their staff was professional, responsive, accomodating and efficient throughout the entire process. Found exactly what we wanted and they facilitated the purchase from start to finish. The most "frictionless" car buying experience I've ever had.

Excellent Service- Peace of mind!Dave really stands behind the cars he sells. My granddaughter purchased a vehicle about 3 years ago. He services the vehicle and completes any repairs at a minimal cost. Thank you Dave !

thanks chris and david , right from the beginning when i inquired about the car , you emailed me back quickly . i came and looked over the car , it was in pristine condition , no pressure , well priced , you guys took care of everything to get me into that car . you offer so much with the sale , but most of all honesty . I cannot tell you how much i am enjoying this car , and my experiance at your dealership , we cut a deal in less than 1 hour . I would definetly recommend you to a friend , and in the future would buy another auto there . this 2006 mustang was truly my dream car . thanks again chris and david . cuzin my mustang and hope to bring it to a car show in the future

Great Saab service & tires too! It s hard to find good mechanics that know how to work on a Saab. Always friendly and offering great honest service. I recommend this shop for any brand of car. My last service was for new tires which was so much easier than a tire shop.

More like "No Action Auto". Been trying to get a hold of them for three weeks about purchasing a car on their lot. No one has any information about it when I call, they "will get right back to me". I stop by- no one in the office. Not a good way to run a business... Guess they aren't worried about selling anything.

Decent selection. But pending on who you're dealing with it could be a Night and Day experience. Talked to I believe a mechanic and concluded he was a total jackass. Hope he doesn't sell cars there. There was an older gentleman though. He greeted me much better.

Scum bags. They welded a broken leaf spring with a Fisher price welded and sent them on they're way. Real safe. Oh and that was a warrantee job after the owner trusted them to buy a decent vehicle from them.

What a great experience dealing with Mr Hutchins and his staff very patient knowledgeable and easy to talk to I highly recommend them for your automotive needs you' will be treated with dignity and respect from the time you arrive until your transaction is completed kudos to such great honest men and I definitely recommend this
