I wanted to express a world of thanks and appreciation for repairing my sons car while on a camping trip to CO from St. Louis, MO. The dreaded call, "car is shaking and I think the wheel is going to fall off", creates an amount of dread and uncertainty for a father, 900miles away. Thankfully, my son found 4 Mile Auto Repair and they repaired the vehicle the same afternoon, ensured its safety for the long drive home and provided outstanding service that as a local I would appreciate and utilize. Rick, thank you again, he made it home safe.

On our visit to Woodland Park for vacation our A/C in our 06 Toyota Sienna failed. With limited time I was concerned that we might have to drive back to Phoenix, Arizona without AC in July! Rick and his team provided a timely estimate and did the job right. A/C blew ice cold all the way to Phoenix and is still running strong. Rick's team also found some loose bolts on a recently replace alternate that could have caused big problems during the trip and resolved free of charge. If you are looking for an honest mechanic in Woodland Park, 4 Mile Auto Repair is a great option!

I've taken both of our cars to this shop over the past 2.5 years. They been honest about everything, equally important is the fact that they have done a good job for us every time.I took my jeep there earlier today.I'm having the heater core replaced, I'm obviously trusting them to take care of it.Rick whom is always there, seems to be an honest stand up guy.

Honest shop, in my opinion. Prices are about average for the work being done. I've used several times and never had the work be sub-par. Rick is honest, friendly, and straight-forward.

I hit a curb during a snow storm, and brought the car to Rick. They did an inspection, and the job would cost more than I paid for the car, so I declined the work. I went in to grab the car, and pay for the inspection and Rick waived the fee for me. I was very grateful for that , because it saved me,in a stressful time. I highly recommend 4 mile because Rick helped me save the money even though they put the time and effort into looking at my car. Thanks again Rick!Service: Steering & suspension repair

I came in in a Friday afternoon, needing my car back by the end of the day. I was so pleased with their willingness to get me in and take care of my car. They did what they said they would. Very professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Great job. I would recommend them without hesitation. Thank you Rick and the techs, that got the job done.

Pallet shop!!! (They only sell you something if it comes on a pallet. Ie new motor, trans, axles etc)I went there to have a already installed transmission cooler hoses connected and to check the transmission fluid level. They did neither of those, however quickly diagnosed because I had a trailer hitch I needed a new transmission $7500. (3k more than the dealership.I got a second opinion from a real transmission shop, nothing is wrong with my transmission. Later I noticed they never hooked up my transmission cooler. I called 4 mile, they made up a bunch of customer states statements which were all false.

Diagnosed my dodge diesel's hesitation with needing new lift and injection pumps. To me that was suspect, as I had no loss of power at speed! Ever! Highway driving was effortless, had to watch my speed while climbing passes. In fact I was getting and still get incredible fuel economy considering its a 4 wheel drive 3/4 ton.Turns out it was a wiring/grounding issue as it related to my transmission and its computer monitored shifting. I'm not a serious mechanic bu any means. While having an unrelated electrical issue fixed, I had the $50 part installed and no more hesitation. Replacing the lift and injection pumps would have run me about $4000.At least these guys checked it out and scoped it for no cost. All it cost me was my time.

Was traveling cross country and needed an exploded driveshaft carrier bearing replaced. Literally every other auto shop in the greater Colorado Springs area told me they could get to it in a week. 4 Mile said they could get it done same-day. They finished the repair by early afternoon, charged a reasonable price, and were generally straightforward and honest to do business with. It's always nice to find a good shop like this one. If I lived nearby I would go back!

I got my brakes checked today, not having any idea what kind of condition they were in. They were quick to get me in and out and were honest about the condition of my pads... they easily could have said I needed new ones.... if that wasn't enough.. they gave me a free slice of pizza from their lunch which was amazing! A+ customer service! Thanks 4-Mile!

Took the Suburban for a check engine light. They immediately diagnosed it as a bad camshaft and possibly lifters. Said $4K. Return visit and they said there were additional problems and it would cost more to disassemble the engine and diagnose it than to just replace the engine.Said $6K for used engine with 30 day warranty or $IK for new engine with 3 year warranty. They had us sold on it at first, but the more we talked to knowledgeable friends, the more it seemed suspect, so I took it to another shop recommended by Schumachers to get compression testing and fuel and oil pressure testing. We almost paid $8K for a single O2 sensor.Service: General repairs & maintenance

About 2 months ago I took my vehicle in because of an oil leak. 4 Mile keep my car for a couple of days and finally decided that the last person that changed my oil had stripped the oil plug, so 4 mile fixed it by putting in an oversized plug and charged me $50. The leak was still there, so I called to bring it back in. They kept the car all day again and decided that this time the leak was caused by a bad oil pan and gasket. $700 later after the repair the leak is still there. I called again and was warned that if I brought the car back I would be charged again because it is probably a different leak. This time they kept it all day and told me they could find nothing leaking. After a few days there was a still a puddle of oil on my garage floor. I called and was told I would have to speak to the owner Shawn who was not there. I tried to contact Shawn again a few days later and was told he would call me back in 20 minutes which he never did. I have spent $750 and about 5 days without a car on this place which I will never do again.Yesterday I took my vehicle to a Firestone repair location to have them diagnose my problem without telling them I had been to 4 mile. The 1st question firestone asked was "Who worked on this?" Apparently, the oil pan that 4 mile had installed was not installed with a gasket, but with silicone, which was why the oil was leaking out.I called the owner of 4 mile about this, and the owner told me that he had not called me back because he was busy, and tried to tell me that now the gasket on the timing cover was bad, which I had Firestone check and the cover gasket was fine. I have now had to spend another $480 because of a misdiagnosis and poor repair work at 4 mile.

These guys are the best. I took my truck in for some weirdness only when it was cold out. They figured it was the intake manifold leaking at first, but as the engine warms the leak swells and stops. At first I told them to go ahead and fix it, but after reviewing my budget, changed my mind as figure I'll live with it through the warm weather time. I offered to pay for the diagnosis and parts they had ordered and instead they charged me a big fat $0!!!!!! As long as I live here, all my repairs will be going to 4-Mile Auto!

Worst possible customer service I have ever seen from an automotive shop. I stopped by on my way to work to see why I had a check engine light on. The owner seemed annoyed by being super short when I pulled in and asked if he could look at it. Once I filled out the paperwork, which I have never had to do for a check engine light, he wanted to charge $54 dollars. I proceeded to tell him I have never had to pay for a shop to hook up a simple computer and told him I would find a place that could do it free. The owner proceeded to yell at me a the top of his lungs about running a business then told me to leave his business. I cannot understand why a shop would not want to give a free diagnostic on the light where maybe they could receive business to fix the problem. Simply the business owner should be much more professional and give better service to his potential customers.

Communication was excellent, they found an elusive issue with my car and I was thrilled with how much it cost in the end. They do not nickle and dime you. I am so happy with the work they did and definitely reccomend this mechanic.

Trust worthy auto place right off 24th when your vehicle breaks down driving up and down these treacherous mountain roads.Highly recommend if you're driving up and down 24th if you're vehicle is acting up.Great communication with the customer and felt like they were looking out for what was best for the customer.

The staff is very friendly but we are unhappy with our service. We called and set an appointment so that we wouldn't have to wait too long because we had our children with us. It still took an hour longer than it should have and they didn't do all the things we asked. Now we have to take it somewhere else to complete the things that need to be done before we move across 2 states.

Family owned and so very nice. They have good prices and can be trusted not to add things on not needed. They do keep busy so plan ahead for routine care service.
